Any right thinking person will know all is not well mentally with this fellow. Look at his face, his eyes, he looks like someone that should be in a nut house.
Anyway, let them return him to naija, suffer will reset his medulla.

Learn to read and understand.......the last airbnb I stayed in NYC was $88/night in 2022, same place goes for $264 per night now.

I have friends in the U.S who can't afford to pay their mortgage again, and had to forfeit their home this year. Mind you, they've owned the house for over 8 years. This is the first time I am traveling and every Uber driver who has picked me up have some horrible lamenting about inflation. Imagine a house where husband and wife are working, yet, all their salaries goes in to bills.

I am not here to compare, my point is that its crazy all over the world.

You know its crazy when you see Indians leaving Canada and moving back to India.
You rather should also read and understand. You Airbnb you stayed in NYC, you did not specify what time of the year you stayed there. Demand and supply, unless you are not regular with hotels. The price they charge eg in summer, high demand season is more than during the low season period. Same place you pay $200, you can get for 50. It's just as you comparing airfares in February to that of july/August.
When the Uber driver complains to you about inflation, is it 1000, 2000, 3000%?
We are talking of Nigerians having to pay 29k for what was 2500! My BP drug of 5500 now 20,000 within 2 months! Is that what you have abroad?
That someone cannot pay mortgage after 8 years certainly could be because of loads of reasons, eg husband or wife could loose their job and so the contributions to pay might not add up, some due to bad credit get mortgages at unfavorable unsustainable rates etc. Nothing new about that, even here in naija, not everyone will be able to service loans.
What we are talking about here if you can read and understand properly, is a situation where naira in 5 months went from 460 official rate to 1000, black market from 750 to 1200, diesel from 300 to 1300, fuel from 170 to 600, drugs eg, augmentin from 2500 to 29,000.
Show me any country in the world this has happened within 3 months. No war, no sanctions. Even Ukraine, e no happen.

In as much as I haven't been to Nigeria in over 9 years, I can comfortably tell you that this is a global problem.

I have been to several countries in the last few months, and there has been a massive inflation. This is not a Nigerian problem, it is a global problem.

The level of inflation in South Africa, Canada, the United States, and Australia is mind blowing.

Don't get me started on the flight tickets. It was never this high, and I can tell you it is at an all time high.
So inflation is a global problem right?
So half chicken and chips with kopparburg cider at jd Wetherspoon that sells for 11 pounds, you now buy it for 70 pounds right? A pack of water you buy for 2.50 is is now 30 pounds abi? Has inflation where you are risen by 1000%?
Augmentine that was 2500 is now 29k? Is that the inflation you say is a global problem?

Unless you don't have papers, buying properties in Nigeria is a waste of money unless the buyer is bad with money and would rather have it in a fixed asset than waste it.

A property purchased for N45million in 2020 was equivalent to $100k. In 2023, the property should be worth N114 million for the buyer to break even (excluding any redesign/renovations).

The same $100k put in an index fund in 2020 would have yielded a nice compounded return effortlessly. There are way too many less risky ways to make money than exposure to the Nigerian environment.

My opinion is that anyone abroad should only invest his or her loose change in Nigeria. It may end up being a total write off unless such is made just to stay busy after retirement. But we know that most people who planned to relocate to Nigeria after retirement ended up returning in coffins.

/
Exactly.
You only invest here with loose funds, possibly just to have a foot hold. Certainly not to profit. Oga, 40m litigation when it was started 8 years ago was worth a little more than $200k, today when the claimant is about to rip the benefit of his litigation, it is worth less than $38k!
Same applies to property, you bring in eg 1m pounds to invest in owning property in Nigeria, that money is gone, you will never get the equivalent back due to the daily rising inflation.
I use to charge 60k for a service few years ago, it earned me roughly $390-400. Today, I charge 18-200k and that earns me less than $190. One cannot charge more, as no one will pay.

FreeStuffsNG:
“Usually, many people who sell off their properties in order to relocate abroad do so with the notion of not returning anytime soon or not returning at all. This is due to the perception that the grass is surely greener outside the borders of our nation. On the other hand, Nigerians who have lived their lives for so long abroad would think of at least getting a landed property to serve as proof of their many years of hard work to their friends and family back home, so they would then take advantage of the situation and exploit the opportunities as much as they can.”

This is it. Those selling are ignorant and desperate while those buying are exploiting the ignorance and desperation of the sellers whereas the real estate broker is having a swell time business boon, in same Nigeria he or she condemns, making loads of commissions money from both sides ,giving themselves and the sellers unpatriotic reason to keep running down the country in order to persuade the sellers to selll; They have monetized the misery, ignorance and desperation of those selling.

Anytime you are desperate, that's when you are most vulnerable.

For most of them selling cheap out of ignorance and desperation, they may just be fulfilling a divine wealth transfer of wealth they or their parents gathered unrighteously, transferred into the hands of others who may eventually still lose those properties if they acquired it with proceeds of crime or corruption.

The only true wealth that lasts is the one you acquire from clean and legitimate sources of income. If it's not clean, you will lose las las.

Clean wealth is achievable here in Nigeria, it takes time to build real legitimate wealth everywhere in the world and it is the only wealth that endures. It is the only kind of wealth you can pass down to your children's children like the biblical righteous man. Check my signature for free stuffs!
You avoided the core reason 8 out of 10 Nigerians will likely relocate with their families out of the country if given the opportunity.

O P, you should be ashamed of yourself and your Nonsense News!
So,Tinubu that came barely 6- Months is the causes of the Inflation abi?
Can you talk us what has been your own Contributions to the National Development in Nigeria?
Oga, in 6 months, what can we see? Fuel price from 170 to 590, diesel from 350 to 1300 per liter, and you are asking if Tinubu brought the inflation?
How much were you using to fill your car fuel tank before, 10k? Now you use 50k.
A trailer carrying foodstuff from Kano to Lagos at ₦1300 per liter of diesel may burn close to 1m on fuel alone if 6 months ago it was using 300k. Do you not understand it will reflect on the cost of foodstuff?
The devaluation of the naira nko, from official rate of 460 to 900, from blackmarket 750 to 1200 per dollar, was it not done in the last 6 months?
LG washing machine on fouani store was 270, 000 last week, this week I wanted to buy it rose to 319k! I called, they said it is inflation ie dollars!
Overall, same man brought the desaster called apc, imposed buhari that destroyed the country, now he seems to have come to finish the work.

Afterall government is buying 160m and 400m (bullet proof) landcruiser while Nigerians celebrate when they buy 2003 corolla or 1999 camry.

Throwback:
As an adult male, learn to stay away from young kids who are not your relation. As in, never let them into any house or room you occupy.

Most especially as a landlord, avoid the kids of your tenants, especially that tenant who is not ready for peace in the house. Never be found helping the children with any task or assignment.

I would like to know what the prosecution proved with the testimony of the children.

As for those who cannot live their lives without a pedophile perversion, better you send yourselves on exile before your crimes would send to to captivity.

Lastly, parents should be very mindful of who and where their children have access to.

There is no innocence in this world anymore. Both the accused and the accuser can easily be the victim of each other.

Even an actual pedophile can program his victims to accuse another innocent fellow of his own crimes.
Well said.
