Even if your account or card charges are in naira, the banks settle them in dollars. CBN is saying your cards will now be Afrigo for local transactions and still keep the visa etc for your domicilliary dollar account for international transactions. Also there will be no more charges on your newly issued Afrigo cards on your naira accounts.

I think something need to be done urgently. Lots of Nigerians have to lose the privilege of owning passports. You just cannot go abroad and cause a nuisance and then spoil chances for legitimate Nigerians.
