Quintopia:You have told people to use their brain, how many times this early morning. Seems it it only you using yours abi?
|
Originalsly:Google search says the port is a ppp arrangement with tolarams group to build and operate the place for 45 years. Lagos has 20% and npa 5%, tolarams 75%. |
Nice one. But this one npa is running the place, hope it wount be the same jibity and confusion faced at normal ports? I thought Lagos state will run the place. ![]() |
9jii:If you don't mention Obi ten times a day, seems your blokos wount stand. Guess you had to start early to perform over night. ![]() |
Coldie:Well, if you go to the villages, not just in the south east but also other parts of the country, you find multi-billion/million naira houses built not taking viability into consideration. Most are visited once a year by their owners (if at all) or even longer buy owners staying abroad. The person dies over time and their kids have nothing to do with Nigeria they all schooled and continued live abroad. Some attempt to sell those houses but they have little resale value based on location. I really don't think nepotism qualifies on private property built with private money though. I personally think it was a wrong location to build such edifice when it could have been locate in Abuja or Lagos. But he builds it in Lagos, same folks will say he is running to Lagos. The usuall gist. Anyway, I think by the time the Dr recovers from his recent political heavy spending, he will reinvest in that place. |
Asgard13:Just a regular blood test and one if the 3 top line politicians will surely fail. |
derecho:Clergy? Nna you neva watch this guy MOJO before? Niggar is a heavy nacker, Mr bumper to bumper. A pie with a cream in it expert(if you know you know).
|
The headline should read, Nigerian porn star visits fregene. Anyway, that should not overshadow the good deed of giving gifts. |
Coldie:"It’s not poor maintenance culture it’s what nepotismcan cause. Why would they see such a big project instead of siting it in a feasible location u look for a non feasible location and site it cause u want the project to be in ur village" How is it nepotism, where a private individual takes his money he earned abroad legitimately abroad and builds a building in his village? He is not government, neither government resources that should his choice over any other location. They way you wrote give the impression the building was put there by some goverment official etc showing nepotism by putting public money in a non viable place. I put the two links to show otherwise that it is a private investment in case you don't know. |
Coldie:https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2020/09/09/how-maduka-will-transform-anambra/ https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/07/how-madukas-300-million-dollars-investment-boosted-anambra-gdp/ Nothing like nepotism here. It is a privately owned property built by Dr Maduka, owner of Las Vagas pain Institute. He lost the last election to soludo. The man had the intention of making that place an international medical research center where people in the medical field around the world will research African local medications ie herbs, medicine etc. Something similar IITA in ibadan. Had he won the election, he would have done much for the state considering the millions of dollars he has invested in the state especially his village. The man is a multi millionaire. Has huge purpose built medical facilities in several states in the US. |
BigYash:Just blank your mind, most knack. Especially those weh go de abroad leave their wives here. Or some go drop wife abroad claiming she de school. |
irunoko:Yeah that one is there ie PC, but this one seems to be there too. Actually I would have thought they should have called a doctor to inject the lady with a relaxants to calm her totex muscles. |
BigYash:Hmm. In this kind situation, that is a very wrong thing for man pikin to do. No point in assaulting another man over the woman (Even though some men yeye). Abi no be the wife open leg for the man? If she no gree when the man toast am, how will he see her pant? The man and his paddies assult the nacker, he dies or he goes to report he was assaulted with all the evidence of injury no be another case be that? Abeg this kind woman is not worth fighting and loosing your sanity or freedom over. I once said on this forum, young men should endeavor to do DNA once their kids are born. Make sure all your kids are yours. Then you can have peace of mind. If your wife decides to misbehave, at least you know your kids are yours. Don't kill yourself over woman matter because at least atleast 80% if not more of married women knack especially the newly married young ladies. Do you expect them to immediate leave their sugar daddies that have been giving them money? Taking care of them? Nna, some of my paddies still nack them, infact it is the ladies that disturb them with nudes etc. Nursing mothers oh, 3 after giving birth them don de disturb. One was advicing the lady to stop breast feeding, that it is 1 year, say the pikin go finish the breast and e no go set again. She de show suger daddy bobby when her oga son go work. |
Karemarealty288:It seems real ohh |
generalwo:Na private man build am. Dr Maduka of Las Vagas pain Institute. |
sapele914:Oga, that building is not owned by government. It is a privately place owned by Dr Maduka, the US based doctor that owns Las Vagas pain Institute. He built that place to establish a medical reseach institute for where doctors will come in to do what they do. He also built houses for villagers, heck I hear he rebuilt his whole town, providing electricity, police station, churches, fire stations, water works, roads and the rest. He ran for governor in the last election that produced soludo but lost. I wonder what his has to do with Lagos and the usual rants. |
Nice one as usual. |
Zonefree:I taya. Olosho of many may years. While not supporting the alleged randy pastor, she obviously wants to use him as retirement plan. She must have blackmailed him but he did not shake body or maybe tired of paying. She should take her evidence to court, truth of the matter is that pastor has not commited any crime sleeping with her legally other than the moral issue. Can she even prove in court that they had an amorous relationship? Fatoyinbo and that musicians wife comes to mind. Why has the actress not gone after the hundred of men she had "relationships" with (if one can even call it that) since the late 90s. How does she prove in court her current health issue came from the pastor? Did he give her hiv? Does he have hiv? Abeg, she should be busy hiring a lawyer or reaching out to pacify him codedly. |
Tsolutionjoseph:Oga, Peter Obi might make a difference in this fuel matter. I watched the pat utomi interview the other day. See, Peter is a businessman, a trader (mildly speaking). Why must Nnpc be the sole importer of petrol? Does it make sense? Why not open up the market to everybody that has the money to source and import petrol until we buildup refining capacity. All you do is goverment is regulate the quality of petrol. Abroad you have as much as 3 grades sold in fuel stations. The premium unleaded for high end cars cost a lot more. You have the cheaper grade for older vehicles. Let businessmen, traders, companies import and sell, competition will bring down the prices as well as refinaries that will come online as business men will see reasons to invest in local production. Government has no business using our scarce resources to import fuel, running down the country and placing us in 200b usd debt. |
Angelfrost:Oga, this you policy is the reasonable one jare. |
olaeffect:"CBN wants us to go cashless, but they themselves in collaboration with the FG keeps bringing out policies that negates cashless policy. How can you instroduce stamp duty or electronic fee charge when you are about encouraging your citizens to go cashless? We not supposed to be talking of incentives and cash backs to encourage people to go cashless?" Exactly. It puzzles me. One wonders the thinking. A policy is made with one hand then discouraged with the other. |
Pickmycall:Yes I agree with you, igbo women seem to be very notorious with illtreatment of HGs. Most times the hg are kids of relatives or little underage girls they get from poor families in the village they promise the parents they will send to school, feed and take care off. That is the difference between those little igbo girls and the older professional ones that register for jobs with agents and are give employment as HGs, nannies and the rest. Go to any of those agents, hardly will you find an igbo, they are mostly benue, ogoja ur cross rivers, and recently kaduna christain ladies (relocating due to insecurity). |
Jezuz You actually took time to write this even quoting so many Bible pages? Menn, some folks are trully built unique. Guess it is a past time or scholarly indulgence. Anyway, quite impressive. ![]() |
Haba, Nigerias have been thrown to the dogs. From early stage you are programed not to expect much. PDP bot chairman claims to have "responsibly" blown 1. 4 billion on accommodation for bot members! Thise are the kind of people we have in the helm of affairs. It is not as if the money is not there. Only a mumu will say Nigeria does not have money. No moni, no moni, but their kids are abroad living large, they fly first class, private jet, live in high rise serviced apartments at at cannery warf etc, yet we will see folks of this forum claiming no money as naija "exports nothing". Supprisenly this same copper might be one of those shouting Appdp on this forum. Well as I always say, we deserve what we get, once day we will have sense. Meanwhile the righteous will survive. |
olaeffect:The amount of cash in circulation is too much. I think what the cbn is doing a step in the right direction despite all the k legs. The foundation is being recasted. Cash is no longer a serious means of payment as it is expensive to produce and handle. It is untraceable and could be used to finance illegal activities. The most any Nigerian should have in cash is 10k, all other transactions can easily be done electronically, I see a lot of pos and payment machines with NFC although I don't see folks using them. Zenith bank and gt bank cards are often used to make non contactless payments abroad, so why is it not used here? I am no economist, but I think issues such as inflation, criminal activities, corruption, terrorism will be curtailed through the curbing of cash in circulation. |
Ogbeniayanfe:My brodaa, I weak. The issue is that will the coloring money be accepted back by the bank? Will the next trader accept it? Is so over look and pass it on. Disappointing as it seems, life goes on. You follow naija and its ways you will just wound yourself with high blood pressure. |
Can you imagine? What talents? Talents that got the country into debt, $200b worth of debt? Fashola as gov of Lagos was no rocket scientist. The state has potentials as former federal capital and current commercial capital. Huge taxable population, businesses, vehicles, ports etc. A country within a country. Billions in revenue waiting to be tapped. Sabinus, fashola, PA ajasco, even my houseboy could have performed well as governor. Afterall it is not hard to point and say build a bridge here, build a road there since there is excess cash. Where you would have seen dexterity in management and governance is if you had placed so called "wonderboys" or "talents" (I call them overratted), in charge of states such as anambra, ekiti, kebbi, ebony, Osun, Benue et,. States where you faced financial, revenue, debt etc crises, where you had to work with scarce resources and still make a mark. Was fashola not in charge of electricity? With his blab about 6 months? Is he not in charge of roads? I drove to iperu, mechanic had to work on my suspension when I got back. Its not all bad because you can see the inprint of Osibanjo on Lagos judiciary till date. Where the arm of government was upgraded, the facilities, processes etc. Could it be our problem in Nigeria is not placing the round peg in the round hole? Who are the ministers of eg petroleum? buhari and a fellow called Temipre Silvia. NO BE JUJU BE THAT? |
Fahvvy:To explain what? As a student? Explain that he deals in bitcoins or what? Or he won betnaija? Not just the boy, but his group of friends certainly do not sound like people any legitimate stuff can come out of. The funny thing is that someone here was berating me for shielding my kids from mixing with their peers at my street, for sending them to private universities where they mix with like minded youths. Certainly nothing is perfect, but with the moral decay in the country now, parents must act! Kudos to this woman, she kept her integrity. What if police arrests them for armed robbery tomorrow, efcc grabs them etc. If that woman takes the car, she will be charged along with him. |
See, they have state backing. It is a means of empowerment. They can also be used for political gains when needed. Have you noticed a police checkpoint might be close by but they will turn a blind eye. The whole Lagos is shared amongst them. If you doubt park along any road in day time or at night. Even 2am, they must appear. Weeks ago my light truck broke down around Ejigbo area. They refused letting the driver fix it. They harrased him, a fellow hustling Yoruba man. He called me that they needed 30k! Omo, I got on the phone spoke with their leader respectfully, that it was hustle all of us were doing. He should please accept homage of 5k, not that it was anything, but just for them to wet ground with some whiskey. Next call I received was that they pushed the truck for the driver and it started. Lucky me. |
Chimeluv:Afterall, we know what they will eat. |
Blackdeewhy:Are you in Lagos? Bought fuel without qeue few munites ago. Catch: 280 per liter. Or you hold your apc Id to buy at 100. |
