OgogoroFreak: This your question sound more like someone who were born outside naija and hasnt step your foot into that country before. Well let me give u small expo. A failed country is equal to broke people because in a failed country, the reach continues to get richer and the poor poorer. If the country is good, u wont see one man driving 10cars, owning 7 different buildings, marrying 4 wives at the same time, buying private jet up and down. Throwing money like money making machine, having 3 billion in his acct and under ground, moving around with armed security men, having 100 shops everywhere. The ration of a Richman to a poor man in naija is 20:100 the rich being 20 and the poor %100. Reason why the rich will never want things to get better because they benefit alot from the failed situation, reason while the rich wants to cripple the economy so that the poor will continue to worship their generation. In a failed country, poverty is the order of the day because very few rich peeps are the one controlling the economy like naija of today. If the system is good, there will be good road, infrastructure will be in place, steady light will be surplus, employment will be available and within reach, education will be of standard, medicals will be intact and overall, standard of living will be excellent. But the revise Is the case, if the road network is good, those making millions from it wont be rich again, if we have steady light, those importing generator will go hungry and those also eating from the blackout will go hungry. Etc. Am tired of typing. 5 Likes |

RealityShot: Oil dey your head sir. Even in USA and Canada, not everyone will live in some choice areas. In Toronto, houses are like $1m to $1.5m, alot of people vacate those places and go to Halifax, saskatoon, PEI etc to get a house of 300 to 500$k. I still maintain my stand that 10m is alot of money in Nigeria. Someone who is on a salary of N500,000 monthly, wont even see 5m at the end of the yr. Even somebody earning 1m everymonth, wont save up to N10m in a yr. Now the question is, how many Nigerians are earning between 500k to 1m monthly. I need an answer to this question. I have lived above 10m but that doesnt mean 10m is a trash. 8 Likes |

oluayebenz: $28k in usa will get u a brand new tear rubber bro. It may not be 2019 model but it will comfortable get u a 2015 or even 2016 model of car. Again it depends on the car, in some parts of usa, $28k will get u a down payment of mortgage. Then in Canada, 28$usd will get u a down payment for a house of about $350k to 400. And that same $28k usd will get u a brand new 2016 to 17 model of a car. $28usd will buy a mobile home wel equipped. Speaking with experience though. 7 Likes |

But i thought british citizens are free to enter USA. Well in my own opinion, having droved thru that route severally from Canada, I do not believe those couples are lying. It's very easier to mistakenly enter usa from canada if u do not know the route. And one funny issues with all thos route is, once u mistakenly took the wrong exit, that is the end, u will end up in usa straight as there are no turning points. Is not like naija where u can turn at the centre, middle, tail, front of the road anytime anyday. I have british citizens in canada and they are legitimately residing here. I see no reason for such lies from the couples. I hate usa for this, reason I stopped going there for anything. Silly ash hole mother fucker blood sucking country. I wonder why people still go there with all the killings and nonsense happening there. Love my Canada 2 Likes |

People differs in investment choices. There is nothing wrong in building your mansion if u can afford it. I love to live in my own house anytime anyday but using your first money to build in an attempt to rent it out and make money has rendered a lot of young prospect youth useless including my myself. The house we built in phc before relocating to canada has been there without tenants. We put it for sale last yr but we didnt get a reasonable buyer. Now we have one tenant who want to occupy it on the condition of paying rent twice, infact, the house need renovation right now. Meaning that should we collect his half payment, we will use it to renovate. This real estate thing is just a luck. The fact that u are lucky doesnt mean that another person will have the same luck. Build your own house when u are well balanced financially. 20 Likes 2 Shares |

Celebrities / Re: Laura Ikeji: Flogging Kids In Schools In Nigeria Should Be Made Illegal by needful: 1:57pm On Aug 23, 2019 |
Am gonna talk about this flogging using myself as a case study. I came out from a family of 9 and am second to the last. My dad is a very disciplined man who beat at a slightest mistake. Being second to the last born, i did something wrong one day and he immediately rushed to flog me with his belt and I quickly screamed " Dad wait" and he suddenly stopped. I asked him one question that touched everyone" dad why do u deserve joy in beating ur children at a slightest mistake, what happend to correction and advice without beating. Dad did u even bother to ask me why I did that before beating me up. My elder siblings u had been beating right from small, has their life turned any better or change for good?. My dad quickly ran back to his room and was so afraid to even face me as a father for days, did I tell us that I was just 9yrs old then. That was the end of beating in my house. I grew up with my younger sis and one of my bro without dad touching us for one day and I can authoritatively tell u that our lives are different. We grew up and got married all of us, one xmas, all of us came back home. Dad was watching our parenting, he realised that I never touched my kids and they behave differently and ask lots of questions why things are done the way they are, the ones he beat hail out of their head beats at a slightest mistake just like him and their kids already got used to the beating and sees nothing wrong in it. One evening, a brother was asking me why I do not beat my kids yet they hear whenever I say stop, i told him because I had different way of punishing them , so they cant predict what ever punishment I might give, he screamed, no wonder, my kids already got used to his beating and doesnt fear again. My dad called us one morning and guess what his advice was? , he apologised to the elderly ones over his beating and told them that it was a very bad parenting to flog ur kids and advised them to copy my method of parenting. So why we are at home, I discipline one child that belongs to my brother, ask me what I did. He did something very wrong, and I simply bought a chocolate candy and gave to everyone without giving him, he cried for more than 30minutes over that and at the end, once I said, dont, everyone will keep quiet because they cant predict what i can do. Morale of the story, flogging ur child simply make them brave to withstand any hard treatment thereby believing in violence and this is the reason why naija kids are used to flogging and it doesnt stop them from committing any evil on their mind. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Ugee12: Pls stop arguing with this low life. Our mentality is low in naija and that is why we see every act as a sin. Maybe he should come to America and see the creation of God walking naked with no intention of attracting anyone. If u look at her too much self, it becomes a sexual molestation and u will be sued for that. Biko leave all this gullible naija. After all , he made them naked in the beginning. 1 Like |

cococandy: Very funny statement but true. If only naija married women will be truthful to themselves and tell the truth, you will realise that 70% of naija married home are managed by women financially. Alot of women now are breadwinners and the so called men will come here and call them gold diggers. Its well 1 Like |

kingy1: This is the problem we have in america, a Nigerian sees washing plate for money a low class work. Most of them are ashamed of doing it hence the reason for their drug dealings so as to make quick money, yahoo yahoo, hooking up with a white lady so as to make money off her, marrying the old ones so as to inherit her wealth. The list is endless. There is no job in naija , yet alot of jobs there are neglected because people feel too big to do them for money. My brother or sister, forget gist. I dont time have time to argue. 3 Likes |

maishai: That is what I do and it paid off. Although I always do it with TB and had never run into loss. I no when to enter and exit. Infact the last one I did, yielded excess dollars which I spent here because inflation is not much. As per canada, there is no investment that can yield even upto 5% and if it does, tax will reduce it to 2%. So I jejely invest in naija market and probably use the yield to buy real estate here and rent. Although people complain of exchange rate, but i havent experienced an exchange rate that has eat up my gain and capital. 2 Likes 1 Share |

KevMitnick: You never see anything and to think that after all those beating for discipline, they will end up becoming prostitute, thieves, armed robbers. Do u know that, with the level of poverty in naija as at today, an average boy or girl wouldn't condescend so low to even wash plates for money, they believed in making millions and manners falling from heaven because that is what the parents thought them. The rich ones, will prefer getting an underage girl as house maids and pay them why their children slay. Nigerian mentality is zero that's why we cant even produce a good leader. I have already adopted that type of parenting and is helping alot in my home. Let them know how to do it and I will give them incentives so that when they grow old , they will appreciate their partners for doing it. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

I love that type of parenting very well and will go in line with it. This is the reason why yankee men help in every chores at home and they appreciate u very well when they are not able to do it because they understood how much u could have made if done outside and also how difficult it can be doing them. For all of u saying that u did it for free here in africa, why do u always shift the responsibilities to ur wives. Mtchewww, wrong mental set of Hypocrites 1 Like |
