Hey, You all cool it down!! We have zones! This what the zone wanted to give us, we deal with it for four years and use the electoral system to get someone else if we are not satisfied with Gej. He is the President, respect his position and authority and let him do his job. I agree, there is more problems to expect down the line but we have dealt with far worse problems than this and did not perish for it. We will survive this one too. |
Our Presidents are choosen based on zoning law, not IQ! It was Eastern regions turn to produce and we got Ebelechukwu from SS zone. No need to obtain IQ test score, waste of time! Just make sure in 2015 you don't vote him back in. Northern region is producing Next President and we don't know which of their zones will come forward with a candidate. |
Why are they threatening her? They are jealous! She is a beautiful woman, very accomplished and brilliant. I believe Nigeria needs more of her and they need to leave her alone to do her work and contribute to progress. These men have been in goverment for years and did nothing for progress, now someone is there to add value and they are taking up weapons instead of making room for her. They are just bad belle, das all! |
You all need to listen to what Physics just said. Akinrinade is proud of pounding Biafra but regrets that the objective of their victory and the will to keep Nigeria one has not materialized. Phase one was to deal with and defeat Biafra. That materialized and he's proud of that! Phase two was keeping Nigeria together and unified for progress and pride. That did not materialize. His regret is that without success in phase two, phase one was a waste of time and resource and life. By all means Biafra had to be dealt with! Ojukwu with his suicidal stubborness and ineptitude dragged innocent igbos to their death and when it was his turn to face bullets he escaped. Coward! |
They are desperate for land and people. Their children abandoned home and went in other people land. They marry into other cultures. So you see why they are trying to claim other people. Sometimes I sit back and watch their activities online and observe what they do and feel very sorry and sad for them. I can imagine if Yoruba children abandon home and distance from their roots, what that will make oneks heart and spirit heavy with grief. I believe the Federal govt should come up with some programme to help them heal. In fact all of us Nigerians should help them heal. There's still pain fromm the past that they have not gotten over. Lifelong pains! However, while you are attempting to establish goodwill with them they respond back with defiance and bruteness asserting Biafran supremacy. I can't understyand it but I guess that's the diagnosis of their psychological pain - that they have lost sense of reality and ythey are still stuck in 66. Its a pity, makes me very sad sometimes untill I encounter people like Ezeuche and he makes me want to brand him on his snout. |
Yoruba ios not descendant of Arabs or Jews. Yoruba is proto-semitic by race but the language we speak is rooted in old Hebrew. Canaanites were natural Hebrews, Jews or Children of Israel were assimilated Hebrews. Many people say this couldn't be true because man originated in Africa and Black people originated in Africa. I point them to the cracks in the Arabian peninsula and let them understand that all those lands were part of mainland Africa before the Rift fault. In addition, the fault (which aLso produced the Rift valley and Victoria falls in Uganda) stretched all the way to Iraq. So the magnitude of the land fault was so great that the topiography changed greatly. There used to be a great river in Yemen on the same scale as Nile or Euphrates. Its dried up! So the origin of man in Africa, the conclusion that Arabian peninsula was an integral part of Black Africa before the fault snapped it off, all are true and consistent. This refutes the charge that Yoruba could not have been a cohabiter in Afro Asia. In fact black man was first called Afro Asians by arriving Europeans until they amended the label and started using negro. |
Tell me, how is Egba different? Ndigbo don't want Egbaland? |
Abagworo want go grab another man land for Delta. He's using Yoruba story as "bojuboju" (camouflage) to hide the true intent of why his attention is on these people land. Igbo is an endangered tribe on the verge of dying off, culturally and geographically. They need population boost, quick and fast. More importantly, they are re awakening Biafra and need land and reinforcement in population. So they have been on this aggressive campaign harassing people and forcing them to admit igboid ancestry. Land grab madness!! |
Lmao! Pleep, How about "Egba" people, what are they? I think the "E" and "A" were transposed after they emigrated to Yorubaland. The EGBA people are actually EGBO or IGBO. Rotflmao! Foolish land grabbing campaign! |
Chinenye, Did I not tell you that Abagworo had a more sinister agenda than the topic and theme of this post suggest? You heard what Afrodiva said. Abagworo, give it up my man! You are going to be the only igbo standing soon. I see a steady decline in igbo population and pride. Even your children in Lagos are now claiming they are Lagosians. Guess what? When their children's children get here they will be like 3rd or 4th generation born in Lagos and very likely lost to the Igbo root and Biafra glory. You know I'm your rival tribe, right? This is son of Oduduwa speaking. Its to my pleasure toi see your tribe decline and die off. I'm going to place a distance between your children in Yorubaland and their roots in nri land. We will accomodate them and rewrite their history like you are doing to others at this time. I have witnessed where independent accounts from uncoordinated responses and reactions to your pro-igbo campaign has been cold and resentful of the propaganda to assert yourself as land owners and cultural head to your neighbors. People don't want to be called igbo or associate with igbo. Give it up my man! Its time to let it go! Biafra is dead! Disperse the rest of your peoplke to Yorubaland. We can accomodate you all. Biafra is dead my friend, you and a couple of comrades are the last ones standing. Stop the land grab campaign and let people alone to enjoy their new identities and cutural partnerships. This is what you will enjoy too if you care to abandon your home for Yorubaland. |
The problem with the Ikwerre and Etche is being exclusively in Rivers State. If Omuma LGA and Ikwerre LGA were in Abia State, there would never arise the need to modify the true ancestry.Ikwerre is more related to Oratta while Etche is related to Ezinihitte/Ngwa.The Ikwerres are trying to cling on to a minor migration of people from Ogba and Ekpeye to Emohua and Ogbakiri as their origin. While it is obviously true that a portion of Ikwerre came from that axis, majority seem to have come from Isoama,Oratta,Aro and Ngwa. |
I will say it again biafra is dead and gone. Never to arise stop living in the past .landgrabber.the Almighty Lord saw thru Yur gimmicks .that's why biafra will always fail |
It is ethically wrong to try to rewrite my history just to prove your on point. @ezeagu if you really want to know how we feel about being about being called igbo hiding behind the keyboard is not the answer go to ahoada or an ikwerre village and chant igbo kwenu. I dare u. Rather than trying to build relationship you want to enforce your lies on us it didn't work during biafra and will never work @abagworo rewrite all you can. You will never build bridges but resentment. Which Iam safe to assume is counterproductive except your original intention was to breed hostilities |
Ewu, Fulani no bully anyoine for West. In Akure story, they know weting go happen to them if they face off with Yoruba that's why they hurry get protection from Police commssnr first. I no expect the youths to challenge commssnr. Fulani which land in fit try that nonsense- no be for Yorubaland without some protection first. in cow fit be sacred but fulani life no be sacred for Oduduwa nation. |
Where are the Ngozi's of the SW? Show me one and I will climb the moon. ZnO, When women in Nigeria were hidden behind curtains by their husbands in the North and were not allowed to come out. When women in the East was still wearing grass for skirt and walked around bare chested. When women in America were still too frightened to demand liberation. Sisi Eko in the West was publishing articles and getting on airwave in Ibadan to organize political rallies and demand justice for women suffrage, right to vote, right to earn wages and equitable treatment under labor laws. Women like Tinubu, Kuti, Kofo-Abayomi. . . . They were trailblazers and pioneered the rights that Ngozi is able to enjoy today. I join you in rejoicing her accomplishments and while this is your first of such greatness in the women gender, Yoruba has been there, done that and don't need the worship! Thank you very much!! |
Lol! Another Aunty Ngozi shrine worshipper! Somebody asked if she was God. Its appearing that ndigbo believe she is. |
We all know what it means to share, but what do I mean by pairing? By power pairing I mean a situation in which the seat of the Presidency is transferred or rotated amongst sister zones that traditionally occupy the same geo-political region. What was intended with zoning law, why was it created and what problem was it designed to remedy? This law was drafted in the spirit that executive powers of the Federal Government will be evenly distributed and equitably accessible to the each political region of the federation. Ethnic nodes were then created out of the regions. In so doing the country was partitioned into six political zones : three in the Northern region, one in the Eastern region, one in a newly named region called South-South and one in the Western region. Here they are again properly marked: NW, NC, NE, SE, SS and SW. To implement the spirit of fairness and equity demanded in this law, this interpretation is needed to serve as public awareness and education guide so support from the people in the democratic system is secured for the integrity of this great law drafted and agreed upon and ratified into law by their elected congress men and women. I should call your attention to a very troubling matter in how this power sharing could dramatically turn into power pairing if we fail to properly clarify and guide the process to ensure that all of us comply with the law of this land. Let me highlight the potential challenge for you. Consider that a sitting President is from NW and we will be having a Presidential election next year. So what zone should present the next Presidential candidate? Is it possible we could end with three successive Presidents each from a different zone but all in the Northern region? If that happened, then power has been paired, not shared! How should we prevent pairing? Easy! We inform, educate and raise awareness. There is no need for an amendment to the law because the law is broad and inclusive and one of that inclusion is the requirement to do a zipper rotation. What is that? NW is the incumbent President, so rotation goes SW next, returns to NC, goes SS after that, NE picks up after and then SE next. That ends the first cycle. You handle back to NW and the rotation goes through again. If for any reason a serial rotation is adopted, then without doubt pairing will occur and the provisions of this law will be violated, not adding the resentments that this imbalance will create in the polity. This pronblem of inequity is precisely one of the targets of this law. Similarly, if SS is incumbent as is the case currently, and given that President is from the Eastern geo-political region, then it shall also follow according to this interpretation guide that the next Presidential candidate should, as would be expected, come from a Northern geo-political region. This interpretation is applied afterwards, within the provisions of the law, to obtain next Presidential candidate from the Western geo-political region. The rotation returns back up to the Northern region and under expectations, returns back to the Eastern region. I hope I have provided enough illustrations and outlines of this guide to give good clarity to the intent. |
We value intelligence and true leadership. Not some drug peddling criminal. No, u "worship" intelligence. |
Fundamentally the contrasting tenents of both religions hinders any thought of mild adoption of the belief of one over another. Again, indoctrinal lessons that teach the young mind that one is fundamentally different and better than the other. When we say Islam, Christian, we are making reference to worship practices mixed and toned with local customs and traditions. We need to start speaking in terms of what the Quran say, what the Gospel say, what the Torah say. In that protocol of communicating, the fundamental differences between these faiths is zero. Unfortunately, we are locked into the egotistic drive and habits of drawing a battle line. Speaking to scripture, rather than their associated religious following does not satisfy that hunger for blood and so we are reluctant to shift. |
Its still in most Ndiigbo's psyche as an Igbo city. My friend, that's where it will ever remain - in your dreams! If you so much as try to push those people off their land and claim it, cvameroon sef no go fit contain you. Yeye ndigbo wanna steal another man land. is this what you all are planning when you get SE President in 2015, begin grab people land by force? Well, if ijaw is smart they don't want to vote ndigbo for 2015. Anyone else but igbo for Aso rock. |
We had African philosophy but white man came with his ornaments and rum. We started drinking white man's rum and we never been the same since. Its possible to get our philosophy back without giving up white man's rum. We have to sell him black man's gin. Unfortunately, we are not good at selling anything to the white man. Until we perfect the skill of selling and then sell our gin to him and get him drunk in it, Its the only way we get our philosophy back from him. He still has it in his custody. |
Vava, I appreciate last response, quite an ideal way to recluse oneself to the devotion of almighty; by separating and maintaining a demarcated boundary between the Christians in East, the mix faithfuls in West and the Moslems in North, where each region now has an unalloyed space to follow its destiny as ordained. WeLl, it is ideal until the catholics and the methodist start a fight in the East or the Moslems and Christians do battle in the North or the followers of PDP and A C N clash in the West and a remake of "operation wet e, episode 6" starts. You can divide the country in geo-ppolitical sense, after all its an artificial country, , . . But the innate human instinct to control turf and territory will always be there and all those tranquil ideals will be a new baseline for further divisions and or separations. I do agree that at minimum, a monoethnic existence concentrated in a defined common front is far far better an ideal than the pluroethnic encapsulation we live in and in which nothing is commoonly binding among any two ethnic entity. |
What's all these Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala worship by ndigbos? Is this her first time as minister? Is she the President? Every thing she say u guys report it here as if she is your oracle of Ifa or something. Budget is not good? Ok aunty Ngozi go fix it and make it good. |
Look what we have become as a society, trying to compare which violence and method of arnage is better- a bomb with warning, or a bomb without warning! Rotflmao |
Vava, There is a new culture gripping the whole world. Its the culture of violence. We are over-exposed to gruesome violence and bloodshed and our sensibilities and natural impulse for empathic feeling is deadened; it is immune to artificial shocks. A 10yr old child in 2001 when 9/11 happened is 20yrs old today and grown and physically matured to fight oin an army. In the span of this 10yr period he has witnessed artificial calamities as well as natural tragedies and seen destruction of life and properties. His definition of life and what it means is shaped by all that. The movie industry add to his psychological imbalance with production of gory stories and video games with titles that lean towards crime and deplorable treatment of fellow humans. His music lyrics is no different. Rappers appeal to his ego and encourage a hardcore swagger as the emblem of respect and attainment. He has finished or almost finishing university study and his future has no concrete aspiration for a value-added contribution to the society. He has no trade, no skills. All the noble values of a dignified life are strange to this child. Then he meets with a stranger who shares with him how to make money, or how to be "cool" with an ak47 slung around his shoulder. Nobody has shared with him why the people he will shoot with that gun are his enemy. You and I know a 20yr old does not have enemy! He might have friends he is not on good terms with because they bullied him or took his girlfriend or went to a party or club and not invited him. They all will soon make up again and fraternize - they are not enemies. You don't turn ak47 on someone for any of these reasons that 20yr old fight over. But you see, this 20yr old has been indoctrinated over the past 10yrs with messages of "christians are infidels and must be fought in jihad"; "moslems are terrorists and are the enemies of christians". So the cycle of hatred and violence does not start at age 20, it was an incremental conditioning that started much earlier at a younger age. That's what Farouk Abdul-Mutalab became. This is why for a situation like Boko Haram, it is absolutely important that their top is targeted. The footsoldiers are the 20 and 20 something boys who see their guerilla action as a thrilling occupation mirroring the galantry of the hero figure in video game or a movie. Every young man wants to be the actor in the movie. Terrorists know this and use it to target certain age group for ground tactics. The government, if smart, could use those same boys as ddouble agent to infiltrate and destroy the organization from within. As it stands on referendum, I don't know what that means. I will tell you what I do know. Is there any value Nigeria adds to my life that Yorubaland is incapable of replacing? Answer is no! Will a return to Yorubaland enrich my life far better than it is possible in Nigeria? Answer is yes! When someone find the meaning of referendum, kindly let me know. |
I don't think or believe the flow of money is coming from supporter of APC I said "resources"! Don't limit it to money. They don't need financing from supporter of APC, as far as money goes, supporter of APC is on BH payroll. I meant things like staffing, skills training, surveillance and intelligence, ammunitions and weaponry. |
Alj, Stop mentioning OPC in the same breath of remarks with terrorists like MASSOB, MEND and BOKO. The 3 belong together without OPC. |
Unfortunately the resolve of BH may get us there if Gej does not act quick to stop their madness. |
Vava, You see sometimes in our selfish interest to push agendas we neglect feelings on the other side and underestimate the response coming from the other side. Pork consumptioon is forbidden in the scriptures but white man made it popular because it was cheap to produce and generate good revenue. So now it is customary for christians to believe pork is part and parcel of their faith, but alas it is not. It is even more gratifying to use it (pork) as a weapon of propaganda attack on Islam. Practicing Jews will not allow you to touch any of their garment or personal effects and belongings with pork - that's just to give you a peek into how far they distance from it. But they will give you money to buy it and eat or produce it for other christians to consume. You will of course pay interest on the loan. Islamic bank will not loan you the money pperiod! Between the two, I'd stick with Islamic banking. Not only is there an element of health safeguards but also of religious and spiritual security from deliberately consuming what alkl the three scriptures forbid. So this is why I resonded with the prostitute scenario. It was a repulsive resonse but it was meant to get you thinking instead of depending on my rationale for the obvious reason. |
If you don't know that there are two classes of white cap chiefs under Oba of Lagos, then everything else you say regarding the history of Lagos is a wash, That is a fundamental to even understanding the roles and responsibilities of the chiefs. You are one of those that believe because you participated in an Eyo festival qualifies you as omo eko. There is no adequate and efficient qualifier test for filtering out the illegitimates. This is a good reason for reintroducing family lineage tattoos as was once customary amongst the origins. |
Would a regular bank loan to you apply for business loan to operate prostitution ring, or to finance a marijuana farm? I mean common, do we have to test the will of our judgement outside of what is obvious? |
