The people that I consider "Human Touch" or whatever are those that don't have money or are paraded around. Children that if you saw starving in the streets you wouldn't give two craps about because they are not Michael Jackson. Beautiful children hit by reckless drivers and left to die. Or those that can't pay their way out of hospital.I thought I told you already to stop patronizing and just voice your opinion on what's good. It is evident you are half empty when it comes to radiating positivity. I'll tell you what. . .I got a trumpet here somewhere, I'll ship it and you can expect the package at your door in next few days. Use it to tell the world about your philantrophy to save the abandoned child and the victim of bad parenting. Good luck!! |
. . .I must add that my post seconded Afam's, he made a brilliant observation. |
@Post, First of all, Iran will never wipe Israel off the map. Ahmadinejjad is using a rhetorical style of bullying common in school yard turf battles. To be taken serious and have influence and become the most feared in school yard boys size one another up and use vulnerabilities to attack opponent camps. The camp that yields ground loses. Ahmadinejjad is ambitious and need to project Iran to the fore front of global politics. Look at India and Pakistan. . .their acquisition of nuclear weapons is wasteful and an unecessary resource. Beside Pakistan, who else is an adversay to India? So is it really worth acquiring nuclear to fight an adversary that you fought and defeated in past wars? No. So why is India in posession of nuclear? Because until the next bigger weapon on the block, nuclear so far, has proven to be an income earner in global politics. Here is why I said that. If you have five million dollars in your bank account, the people that have more than you are never your safety concerns, it is usually those who are poor that give you restless nights. It is same principle in politics. Energy resource is tangible welath and America, Russia, Britain, France, Germany. . .all these big powers are fearful that a global tension erupting into war have the chances of disrupting global energy resource and distribution and changing the dynamics of political relevance, depending on where the war is being fought. To avert that possibility, the big powers pay off security money in form of aid package to keep these smaller ambitious countries from acquiring nuclear or in fact using it. All third world countries that are today in posession of nuclear weapon are far and much richer now and politically relevant than they were prior. In contradiction, all third world countries that do not have nuclear weapon today are poorer and far less relevant than they were twenty years ago. What enemy does Iran have today to warrant acquiring nuclear weapon? You might say Israel and America. . .Iran is not a military match fr those two, individually or jointly. So there is a second and a third motive. . .that of political relevance and economic sustainability. |
Resident anal retentive of Nairaland I will tell you again I do not worship man. I know Michael Jackson is your god but I really don't care. Similar to how much he probably wouldn't give to snaps about you. Nigeria making it to the world cup is higher on my list than even this guy dying. Stop crying and go back to work.Pay attention to the highlights. . . and let me repeat myself, there is an aspect of humanity called "The Human Touch". No man worships another man and no mortal being causes nature to cease. However, every human being is a forceful touch upon the reality of another human being, in a negative or positive way we each touch one another, even when separated by dimensional factors that make direct physical experience impossible, the touch finds its way into our hearts and souls. People like you that do not believe in "The Human Touch" experience often spend your life devising ways to diminish the successes of those who are gifted to contribute to universal goodwill. . .that's why you are here bad mouthing the successes of Michael Jackson, instead of staying where you belong, cheering goal scores in socer matches as you pointed out. Take your ass over there to the soccer matches and allow people who love music and MJ to rejoice in his achievements. You said you have rights of expressions. . . damn right you do, now voice it. . .with a need to add to "The Human Touch", not take away from it. |
Dude grow up and get over it and stop whinning like the girly man that was crying "Leave Britney alone." Waiting patiently? About two weeks agothere was a topic on his children. It's nairaland, stop acting like anyone comes on here to read this and weep. Worst have been said about him and other people. Jeesh, you can like he is your lover that left you. Get over it, kids die everyday and no one on here bursts a blood vessel but as soon as a famous person kicks the bucket everyone acts like that is the first and last death that will happen.Stop your patronize and give me a straight talk. . .stop hiding behind the veil of pop talk. Here is your reality. . . People from various background. . .rock music, country music, rap, hip hop, r&b, jazz, blues, black, white, arab, . . .name it, they are all celebrating his life in sweet memories. It is not a bitter grief, it is a sweet grief. But as usual, one is bound to find that isolated case of an anti-social and caustically sour soul that never sees anything good in the best of events. There is a saying that goes "you can choose to see a half filled glass, or you can look at it as half empty glass". I love music. . .it is MJ's music that I love and the melody of those tunes have endeared me to his creativity and soul. No one that loves music is ever going to view MJ as anything but the best. . . I will even stretch it further to give you a precise perspective . Before there was an Obama phenomnon around the globe, there was a Michael Jackson phenomenon in the world. Most are yet to meet Obama and probably never will, they love and chersh him nonetheless. It is part of human touch and universal truth. |
You have your opinions I have mineYou know what. . .that's true! Go ahead and express yourself, say all the dirfty stuffs you know about Michael that you have been waiting patiently to say when he dies. I am listening. . . |
. . .I guess I should add that, while Mr Obama may issue a statement, it can only be taken as a personal message of grief and should not be recorded as an official release. . .his wife is under obligation to issue statement, not the President in this case. |
Jimmy, I can understand your frustration but you need to understand that arts and entertainment is considered cultural endowments. By order of protocol, the First Lady is the custodian of culture. So it would be more appropriate and indeed right for Mrs Obama to issue a condolence and an official statement through her office to the nation and to the world. |

Savanaha, He is no longer here to defend himself. . . he is gone, forever. . . . Speak of him in exaltation and herald positive memories of him, . . .that shouldn't be too hard considering that his good deeds and generosity far outweigh his few flaws. Until death, none of us is free of flaws. Michael is dead now. . .his flaws are dead too. Keep your damn mouth shut and let him rest in peace. |
All deaths are moments of truth. . .no one is afraid of loosing life but everyone is afraid of being disposessed of cherished memories. It just happens that certain memories are more cherishable than others. The memories of Michael's songs in my life is powerful and I am heartbroken by his death. . . Love you MJ! "Gone To Soon" Like a comet Blazing 'cross the evening sky Gone too soon Like a rainbow Fading in the twinkling of an eye Gone too soon Shiny and sparkly And splendidly bright Here one day Gone one night Like the loss of sunlight On a cloudy afternoon Gone too soon Like a castle Built upon a sandy beach Gone too soon Like a perfect flower That is just beyond your reach Gone too soon Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight Here one day Gone one night Like a sunset Dying with the rising of the moon Gone too soon Gone too soon Bye Michael, we are gonna miss u very much ![]() |
Allow me to throw some conspiracy flavor into this story pot. First the preambles before the flavor. Before all of these election outcomes Iran was already in the news and the storm was gathering to a point where US media had opined that there was a split amongst Muslims in the ME. . .one faction, the Shias, led by Iran and the other, the Sunnis, led by Saudi Arabia. President Obama's speech in Cairo was not a random event. It was a stone designed to kill multiple birds, repairing that split and closing the gap was one of the mission statement in that speech. The President sees and recognizes the importance of Iran to the security of America in that region and hence his reason for bending over backward to bring them to the negotiation table. Twice now the world has witnessed the significance and value of assymetrical war - first when superpower Soviet suffered defeat in the hands of foot soldiers in Afghanistan and second when superpower America suffered defeat in the hands of foot soldiers in Iraq. Defense strategists in America are thinking of modifying American military force to have the traditional infantry combat groups as well as foot soldier combatants for counter-insurgencies in foreign and remote areas of the globe. In fact, Blackwater is already running the pilot training. Until such time when that force manpower is available, America must limit its exposure and losses to defeats in Middle East. So far, America lost in Lebanon, Somalia, Yemen, Iraq. . .and has fought an 8 year escalating war in Afghanistan. Iran has a strong tactical and strategic interest in America's presence around its borders and also command a far reaching influence with the foot soldiers of Middle East. Now, here is the conspiracy. Iran cannot be a ME powerhouse with a split house, it must have the loyalty and following of both the Shia and the Sunni. In order to secure the Sunni to its side, first their conscience must be awakened to the poliical urgency facing their region. Political awakening is best achieved through social movements. So while it did not plan or anticipate the recent unrest and street marches, it nonetheless played into the hands of the authorities. I say this because if Iranians can challenge the legitimacy of their leaders and do so under a supposedly tolerating atmosphere, then why couldn't the people of Egypt take to the streets and challenge the legitimacy of Mubarak, why should not the men and womenof Saudi Arabia take to the streets of Riyadh and demand their rights against the King. This is all ittakes to topple the Sunni leadership and unite the Arabs against a common front threat of the encroaching Westerners. That motive s the reason the Mullahs and Ahmadinejadd laid back, unusualy so, and allowed the the storms to rage on their own streets in Teheran. . . in a controlled and managed manner, as opposed to a brutal and uncontrollable one they are scheming for the Sunni led countries. |
From God we came and to Him is our eventual return. . . Michael Joseph Jackson, as you transcend through the stages of after death, May your soul rest in eternal peace, Amen. I lost my hero today! Bye bye MJ, go be with your God. Looking out Across the night-time The city winks a sleepless eye Hear her voice Shake my window Sweet seducing sighs Get me out Into the night-time Four walls wont hold me tonight If this town Is just an apple Then let me take a bite Chorus If they say - Why, why, tell em that is human nature Why, why, does he do me that way If they say - Why, why, tell em that is human nature Why, why, does he do me that way |
@POST. . . I know there is a law in US requiring that the sale of any dual purpose or multi purpose use technology to foreign governments must first be reviewed and approved by the government before the sale can go through. Nokia and Siemens are both European companies. . .and doesn't the EU have a similar law on books that require review of exchange or sale of proprietary technology? |
Islam they say is a religion of peace.Ola, True talk! Left alone, without the West trying to force democracyt down their throat, I doubt that all of these will be issue. We must separate jihad from nationalism. What you see is nationalism and aggressive rejection of Western attempt to democratize the Islam world. Especially when democracy is about nudity, homosexuality and economic injustice. As a Nigerian, would you subscribe to a foreigner telling you how you must live your life? Well, I take that back. . .we did and that's why our country is what it is today. Our people fought but folded over for the missionaries. We should be encouraged in the gallantry of nationalist fighters everywhere on the globe. Taliban is not fighting jihad. . .screw their claim to the contrary. |
In 2000 election between Gore and Bush, the whole nation was waiting for the Florida results and all the networks except Fox tallied that Gore was clealy going to win Florida but they were waiting for clarification before calling it. Then abruptly, Fox wet on air and declared, I repeat. . .declared that Bush won Florida and the Presidenial elction. Guess what happened next? All the networks followed suit and made the call for Bush without ever clarifying the results as they had earlier indicated. When it comes to election results and declarations of victory by news media. . .becareful! We must trustthe result as authorized by the Iranian authorities. , we may not like it but there is nothing anyone outside that country can do to change the outcome. Obama has made speeches and committed to the effect that his administration will not support regime change anywhere in the world. It will be stupid of Mousavi's supporters to wish for an influential intervention from outside, .Iraq is a living example. When outsiders go into a country to help, they end up causing much more havoc than the citizens themselves could have done under the burden of tyranny. Besides. . .they should embrace Ahmadinejad in honor as AQK was embraced and honored by Pakistan - whatever global progress they have earned recently in whatever measure is due to his credit. He bullshits when he talks about erasing Israel. . .I wish he would so much as assemble a frce for such fantasy! Before closing, here is another example. Ariel Sharon eliminated Yasser Arafat in a desire to clearn the ground for democratic process in Palestine. Sharon and Bush were happy in Mohammed Abbas as a moderate and pro-western. So America funded the elections. Guess who won? Hamas! The devil you are intimate with is far better than the fair seeming one you do not know. |
@Post. The reason is because the Taliban is fighting a political ideology and not an Islamic crusade or jihad, so to speak. |
Tpiah, Libya has the best and most progressive social programms for women. Ghaddafi could truly model that to the rest of the world. What we call women's rights in the west is not a rights at all compared to the role and relations of women under Ghaddafi. Trust me! In the west, women struggled and battled for the grounds and the men only yielded reactively. . .in Libya, the women were proactively empowered to fill their natural role. Whether or not he will succeed in articulating the changes is another problem. Knowing Ghaddafi, he will probably attach some deal to the cultural exchange. |
Sorry there, hit wrong key in the middle of composition, I will continue here. ___________________________________________________________ It could be argued that our political and social system is decadent and highly intolerable of individual freedom of rights. Practically, yes this is true but ideally the antidote for that is something else other than an advocation for freedom of speech. The style of rulership and government we inherited from Britain and which we continue to use is one that lacks trust between the ruler and the ruled. The colonial governors did not trust the people and so they installed instruments of control such as police force to respond brutally to oppositions and silence the voice of opponents. Isn't that the manner in which our own governors and Presidents have continued to rule us, almost 50 years after independence? So to go back to Tunku's quote on Lamido's yukky mouth and what he said about Igbos, we must examine if this is truly freedom of speech or if it's hatred. You mentioned ethics. I am sure everyone got something in their mind to express but most people do no just open their mouth and say stuffs on the ground of rights of liberty. When you express your liberty you could very well be injuring another person's own right. So this is where common sense and wisdom comes in. There must be a balance in which individuals have the decorum and are principled in the interest of harmony and progress that they sacrifice the impulse of their own voice so that the tensions of hatred and conflicts are minimized. If Lamido has not demonstrated this wisdom or sense of ethical balance, then I must question why he is a national government that seeks national unity? Replace him with someone sensible enough and sympathetic to the well being of the population and the unity of the Federation. On the issue of right wing extremists taking cue from Fox news and their syndicates to oppose Obama and spew fear and hatred. . .well, you know just as much as I do that America is a glorious place when it comes to money and materialism. . . in anything else, it is not the best place in the world to live in. What you have seen from the extremists is envy. If Obama was Christian and was white. . .the right wing extremists will still target him. It is double hard on him given his background. I must remind you of Clinton's own fight with militias and cults. . .David Koresh of Branch Davidian in Waco, and there was Randy Weaver of Ruby Ridge militia. . . both of which led to confrontation with FBI and paramilitary siege. . .and finally incited Timothy McVeigh to terrorize America. Yes, we can wonder why these people are doing this but America was founded on conflicts of interest and violence. |
Well, you see. . .there you go! When we talk about freedom of speech we must be careful how we define it and for whom? You cannot define freedom of speech in Nigeria in the same manner it is defined in America and here is why. The historical roots in the two countries are not the same and the struggle for liberties and freedom emanated under different dimensions and aspirations. I will give an example. In Nigeria, we were naturally free and never in bondage, we ceded our own rights to freedom. In America, everyone was in bondage and had to fight for freedom of rights. So the declaration of the right to exercise liberty and freedom and to live and enjoy life would indicate that at one time these people were prohibited from doing just that. We are heading in the wrong direction if in Nigeria our own consitutuion emulates the design of the American constitution. I |
most homosexuals identify with their sex. ex a male sees himself as a male who is attracted to other males and vice versa. .hhhmmmm, is that right? if they ask for sex, you specify either male or female, . .really? Wow! |
But all in all, there is nothing wrong with calling "on the world to stop discrimination and violence based on sexual orientation."Are you saying homosexuality is not a sexual orientation? Is transvestite not a sexual state of mind? . . .and given the direct quote from your post above, are you saying its ignorant to call both homosexuality and transvetite a state of sexual identity? sex and gender quite different. learn to distinguish between those two as well.If you are filling an application form and you are asked to identify sex. . . what do you put? How about when asked on a form to identify gender. . .what do you write? ![]() |
Pres, its good that you want to hear opinions and see how other people feel about the topic. I am going to tell you how I feel about it. The Dept of Homeland declassified a document recently and soon after it hit the internet . . . I will say it stayed on for about 30mins . . .and then they immediately recalled it and sealed it back up as a classified document. It was titled Domestic Extremism Lexicon. There were 52 classifications of extremism and each was given definition for how the law would interprete it. A particular one was called "Alternative Media". Here is the definition for it: Alternative Media - A term used to describe various information sources that provide a forum for interpretation of events and issues that differ radically from those presented in mass media products and outlets. In other words, if you make an independent analysis of a national event or issue that challenges or calls into question conclusions reached by the mainstream media, then you are an extremist. In America, there are hundreds of statutes under the civil rights act of 1964, add to that the rights clause in the Constitution and you have a complex social system in which around every right there is also a movement and around every movement there is radicalism. To shut down radicalism is to silence democracy. I guess Napolitano suddenly realized her error and immediately recalled that lexicon. This is a prime testament that democracy is not a fix-it-all solution for society. America is the model of democracy, we chastise other countries for silencing radicalism. . .we ourselves must not be seen shutting down the voice of radicalism. So I do not expect that the government will introduce any program to shutd won hate groups but I believe they will treat each episode as an incident and dispose of it as necessary within a legal context. This is what they have always done and will continue to do. |
Well, thanks for your response, quite insightful. There is a cause and effect in all relationships and its definitely playing itself out here. No one nation is useful unto itself. Naturally a nation is like an individual person. There are inner turmoils in the individual and if that energy are not channelled they become too great and eventually destroy the person or keep him/her in a perpetual state of confusion and stagnation. So for self-preservation, it is wise that an individual channells energy for service unto others. The demand of meeting the obligation of this service keeps the spirit going, in bad times and in good times. A nation behaves in like manner. There are internal turmoils that will tear a nation apart and destroy it if left to their cause. So to balance that domestic problem, a foreign effect is needed to channell energy. This is where US and Russia did great, especially after world war II. Look around the world and what do you see? The world is split into two political alignments. The camps are controlled by two powers. . . everyone else is a puppet in their game. This is where the idea of allied nations and non-aligned nations came from. As you correctly pointed out, ideas and camps are constantly changing from one decade to another. Example is Japan. Japan was a non-aligned nation during second world war and was on Germany side fighting against US and USSR, who were both allies. Today, Japan and Germany are allied with US against Russia and China. In this mix, where is North Korea? DPRK is allied with China and Russia. Politicians would want us to treat each volatile region as an isolation peculiar to the events in that zone alone . . . but we must not follow their guide because their policies are designed primarily with focus on democracy and capitalism and it lacks consideration for the cultural and historical events peculiar to the different zones but rather would deploy for uniform effect and accomplishments. So for instance the problems in Georgia and North Korea, two different zones, are not the same but US policy for these countries are the same, namely, establish democracy and open up the economy; hence, the effects and the tensions are inter-related. Anywhere America fights a war against communism, the effects of their offensive will draw similar outbreaks at the diplomatic level. DPRK was a toothless dog. It has acquired some fangs now and it is not yet accustomed to the benefits and dangers of it but it is following the only demonstrated example it knows. . .the footsteps of fanged dogs who behaved badly with impunity when their territory of interests is trespassed. There is a leash around Kim Jong Il's neck. If it's let go, there will be bloodbath in the neighborhood. Russia know this and China know this. . . so does US and Japan. With DPRK's arsenal. . .China and Russia have the upper hand in the Korean Peninsula. . . they can do all kind of things with that dog leash. They can shorten it and limit the radius of menace. . .they can lenghten it and increase the security of the perimeter. . . one thing they will never do is let it go, unless of course America gives them cause to effect that decision. |
Part of the message in Cairo was to break BiBi. BiBi is a hardliner, he does not understand the word peace. Obama is trying to use the world against him.Ikomi, you are correct. I understand that Obama's envoy in ME, Mitchell has already hinted to Netanyahu to step aside and not interfere with what the admin is doing to expand changes in turbulent areas of the world. Europe and Israel moving hard right while America, the continent, and the world is moving left towards reconciliation. Quite frankly I don't give a shit about the middle east anymore. It is an an overly indulgent region that the world has invested too much time and resource in. Israel may boast about bombing Iran but they will never do it. Iran may develop nukes but if it uses it it knows that Israel will wipe it off the face of the map. The Palestinians are nothing but stooges in the powerplay between Arabs and Jews, even with a two state solution their future looks bleak. Quite frankly I don't care anymore about the indulgent conflicts of the middle east. They all come off as a bunch of teenagers with their petty battles and grievances. And the motherfucking religious idiots stoking the flames of hate from both isles is quite frankly sickening.Tunku, I love this response. . . I agree totally with your analysis. I have said a time or two myself that the Arab/Isreali peace negotiations is nothing but a venture. In that venture you have thousands of people on three continents profiting from the tragedy of Palestinians. In this venture you have diplomatic posts and offices designated and staffed with thousands of specialists engaged in negotiations and counter-negotiations, you have arms dealers who supply both sides, Isreal and Palestine and Arab States, then you have lobbyists who use the Isreali cause as a surrogate for other nefarious motives, you have the evangelicals who in the interest of spreading their mission deep into Arab and Islamic countries have hijacked holocaust and semitism as a sacred cow and last but not least is the media. . . without the ME storm lasting this long a bunch of them would have gone bankrupt years ago. The mess started genuinely as a peace and conflict resolution idea but it has morphed greatly within the last 2 decades and has been generously commercialized. For as long people are enriching themselves and boosting their careers on it. . .there will be no peace. I concur with your conclusion. . . Iran will never pre-empt Isreal or attack it. It's a game. . .when you have no clue what the opponent has in their arsenal, then you dont mess with them. Having a deadly weapon ups the ante and raises political significance. . . Ahmadinejjad is a great conspirator and he outsmarted the rest of the world by simply using mere words and ideology in specific phrases to preserve his country. That is smart. . .very smart! Obama must make it clear to him that a two-state solution is the goal of the US.Richy, Bibi is a two time Prime Minister of a state locked in 40yr war with the Arabs. Does he need to be told that a two state solution is a desirable and practical solution? Assuming he is that dumb, which he is not. . . how many Presidents does it take to repeat the same message and for as long as Obama has emphasized his ME agenda (not Policy. . . the policy remains the same as with past Presidents) repeatedly through speeches after speeches. . . I wonder if Netanyahu is not going to repeat the mistakes of his first term at the job and this time he could end his tenure in disgrace. . .something akin to the way Bush ended. Here is the story caption, . . read the comments at the end of the news story, quite refreshing! http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/06/09/world/worldwatch/entry5076128.shtml |
Nentayahu went to school in US, in fact graduated from MIT and speaks flawless American english. In his first regime as Isreal Prime Minister, failing to find convergence with Clinton, he touted this cultural association to win over symapthy of the media and of the Republican congress back then led by Newt Gingrich as Speaker of House. Every opportunity he had with the press, he paraded himself as an extension of American government in Midlle East. When he left government he was unpopular and the many failures seemed to have eroded all his hopes of ever running again for the post. After Clinton handed over to Bush, Netanyahu had an opportunity to run for power again but he stayed away, not sure of himself. Then 9/11 happened and Bush went "postal". That brash offensive and bravado from Washington encouraged Nentanyahu. Couple that with Blair's jetset influence around the globe. In Bush and Blair, he found partners with whom he could forge policies and strategies and bond for unilateral destruction and control of powerful ME States. Moreso, it would have been a prime time for Isreal to stage itself as a global force to contend with, given that its excesses then would have been conducted under legitimacy fraudulently won by Washington and London in that famous UN speech given by Powell. He is the kind of guy that is best at political lobbying but never in political administration, definitely not as a diplomat. Netanyahu made a comeback after 9/11. In one of his re-introduction into a run for office he was labelled in press as "the third B". It was a subtle message. . . a suggestive notion, a whisper. . .inferring you to find the other two Bs and complete the puzzle and reach the conclusion on your own. The reference is to the first initial of his first name Binyamin. In this case, first B and second B are Bush and Blair respectively and Binyamin would now form their completion as they join hands to fight terror. Sound comical, kinda like something you would read in your comic strip book - three heroes all wearing the cloaks with letter B engraved in the back and they are on a rescue mission to save the world before the villain had time to destroy mankind. Thank God that third B never debut. . .the two Bs were too much for the world to handle as it was. Well Bush is out and Obama is in. BiBi was already positioning himself for upper hand in the America-Israel relationship after Obama won Presidency and much earlier before the Prime Ministership was given to him in Tel Aviv. He was recorded saying that he is not going to be a push over and Obama would need to listen to his idea of ME policy. You see BiBi sees himself as white person and he is enamored with the American style of class rulership. He has a sense of entitlement that only a white President can tell him what to do, a black President has no place telling him or Israel what to do. Well, in Israel blacks are regarded second class citizens. . . this is a fact! The problem between Bibi and Obama (another B - Barack!) is that BiBi has no clue what leadership direction and message he should stress for his sovereign nation. Obama on the other hand has a solid agenda for resolving problems and the strategies are popular, although the policy has not changed and the scorecard is still blank. It's either Bibi will humble himself before a black man and accept the obvious or he will go it alone blindly into the desert and be at the mercy of the Arabs who will again embarass him and bring failures to his government. They are talking about pressures between Washington and Tel Aviv. Well, Obama is not pressured and he obviously seem relaxed and composed than the news reports seem to suggest. BiBi may be pressured, but this black guy definitely is not. Look at the picture attached. Israeli news reporters are already whining that Obama insulted their country and leadership in this photo. They say he propped his feet up with bottom of the soles in view while he was in conversation with Netanyahu. . . to them thats offensive. So what should Obama do? I guess from now on when he speaks to Netanyahu he should sit upright and with soles on carpet so he does not offend the Jews. Read the whole post and comment. What says you?

Negro I am upset with you. You have been MIA for the longest! You dont call you dont write NOTHING!C'mon T, please don't be upset with me. Yeah, true I have not been in contact in a while. . .I take a slap on the back of wrist for that. Are you on IM now? If IBB can refuse to attend an investigation into Dele Giwas death I dont hold much hope in these monsters being bought to justice.Yes, a copy of the tape need to come out from somewhere while the culprits are alive and can be used in evidence to convict them of murder. Now that you clarified the nature of death I agree with you. It's one thing to put bullet in one's head but a totally different dimension when the coroner says death was caused by heart failure. That provoked a naughty thought in my brain just now. Lady T, why is it when 80yr old men die in hands of 20yr olds, medical examiners are quick to call it death due to unknown reasons? Why cant they just say she screwed him to death? ![]() I miss you dear |
Wassup T? Long time no hear sweetie How is hubby? There are two parts to it: 1. Sustaining the secrecy. 2. Now that Ken Saro Wiwa has won a victory, the public will be energized and would want to bring retroactive law suits against the government and its agencies. Dele Giwa's case is a very good one and likely to result in tangible outcomes against the government. On 1, it is no longer a secret since this guy has brought it out in the open. So now what are the risks to him or the people involved? They won't touch him but he will definitely be harrassed and intimidated and psychologically influenced to believe he is being tailed by an assassin. For Marwa and others, it's business as usual unless they are subponead to appear in court and defend against the charges that they killed Giwa. On 2, This guy implied that the evidence is lost. Unless he can find collaborators with credible background to witness in his favor. . .in a legal suit this case will be tossed out as "hearsay" and lacking credible evidence. |
DPRK has declared the right to defend itself against military threat as well as the free will to mitigate impending threats through offensive strategies. That's hot! How did we get to this? You remember when Bush declared in public that "he peered into Putin's soul and he saw a friend and a partner"? It turned out Bush miscalculated, wasn't it? Well, a top cabinet staff in Clinton's administration, Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright made such silly miscalculation when she met with Kim Jong Il in Pyongyang in 2000. She called Kim "a non-ideologue". Is there any communist leader in the world that is a non-ideologue? There are three failures here. 1. US strategy to use food supply and economic impacts to implode the DPRK regime failed. 2. Overreaching with the Soviet and the Chinese to broker a deal in the Korean Peninsula 3. Reversing the Clinton Administration gains on the ground with Pyongyang when Bush declared North Korea as an "axis of evil". Any idea where you think this might lead? |
