Well Ladies, I present to you MC Smoooooth. cool

its not all men in NL that believe in the superiority/inferiority posturing. I do not believe that men are superior to women but I do not believe either that women are equal in status to men. I will let you sort that out. grin
RomanceRe: Ladies Pls Help Me To Answer This About Breast, Guys U Can Talk Too by NegroNtns(m): 3:47pm On Jul 04, 2008
@post,

The lady took the right step in ending the relationship. To any woman the breasts are one of her most visible assets. When you condemn it then you do a great damage to her psyche; her confidence about her self is affected. Now her mind will be preoccupied with that part of her body and when she look in the mirror she thinks about it, when she step outside onto the street becomes conscious of it and wonders what men think of her. When she start another date, fearing another condemnation, it will take time before she will reveal her breast to her new man. Until some sensible guy come along to reverse the damage, you have done an irreversible hurt. Yeah, find a way to amend your words with her, it will good coming from you.

RomanceRe: What Do You Think? by NegroNtns(m): 1:30am On Jul 04, 2008
@post,

It depends on the kind of oath that was taken. Usually, oaths are taken in good faith but in some cases ignorance can lead some people to take an oath that they have no solid understanding of and thus end up violating or even abandoning their dedication altogether. It is the swearing of allegiance to a cause and it is done in all cultures. You take an oath of allegiance when you become a naturalized citizen of a nation or when you take a high public office or join the military or join a fraternity/sorority and so on and so forth. You didn't say but love oaths are usually blood oaths and the worst in outcomes when the bind is violated.

Any blood oath is a ritual and the consequences are terrible and farfetching. If it involves sex like using the blood of the broken hymen to swear allegiance, then you are looking at the extreme end of terrifying outcomes. The consequence is mild but equally bothersome if the couples drew blood from body parts to do the swearing, like pricking the fingers/thumb with needle and stuff. In all cases that involves blood, anything can be expected, including, in worst case scenario the accidental death of one leading to a tandem death in the other.

Alex, u said u love her, please, please, do not have sex with her while she is still under the bind. As Lady bam and nana said already, HELP her safely get out of the bind and you need to move quickly. Of course the two of them will have to undergo a spiritual cleansing to remove the effect and you do not need to be there. You are in the background helping her, you are not a direct party so stay your nose out of the cleansing when it happens.

Hannibal, the way Stephen described it was our we did it in teenage years, mechanical agility to prove abundance of testosterone.  He awoke memories in me with his description  grin grin   But at maturity, your apperance should command a sense of mystery. Curiosity kills the cat!  Arouse her interests in you, not mechanically but verbally.  grin

@post,

There is no way to it but when meeting a stranger for the first time, never focus on yourself. Women can see under their long eyelashes even when you dont think she is looking at you, she noticed your interest and she is already nervous at that moment. Your job is to calm her nerves.

RomanceRe: The Sexes Are Equal: Not The Same Abilities, But Equal Weight! by NegroNtns(m): 7:00am On Jul 01, 2008
Michelin, Nice post. grin

I need clarity. Is your objective aimed at mediating the back and forth scuffle over gender issues, or are you elaborating the inherent attributes of the physiological being in each genderhuh

Respectfully, I want to be generous and declare you are a mediator. What kind of nonsense is that about men and women being equal? Please stop saying that. In the natural order of cause and effect, which in my opinion is, interestingly, the equilibrium opposite of the Garden of Eden, Man and Woman can never be equal or have a weight factor of symmetrical influence. We are no longer in the Garden, we are now sustained and must live according to the order of the cosmological orbits. Man was created, Woman was produced. cool
PoliticsRe: The Audacity Of Uniform by NegroNtns(m): 3:38am On Jul 01, 2008
@manuch

Nice observation! The problem you describe is an accurate one and there have been many outcries for many decades on this pervasive problem. In indigenous African culture people had the power to depose a King. Indeed many tyrannical Kings were deposed, forced to commit suicide or sent into exile by his subjects. So what has happened, who took this power away from the people? The colonial powers did! They claim that we were uncivilized. Quite the contrary, they were uncivilized.

In Europe, the King had an all authority rule over his subjects wherever they may be and this supremacy of power is what led to the revolutionary war against United Kingdom and freed USA from the hold of its colonial ruler. In Africa we assimilated to their ways and adopted the legacies of their brutalities and lack of compassion or regard for the people on behalf of whom they hold the trust of office. After independence and uptil today, that legacy has never changed, it has gotten worse with more brutalities and unaccountability. It is not our natural heritage to behave in such manners but it is a legacy that we inherited from the white man.
RomanceRe: Can You Steal From A Spouse? by NegroNtns(m): 9:37pm On Jun 30, 2008
I think that some of the topics we discuss are analysed from a perspective of an outsider looking into a variant model and trying to force/mold the model into conformity within the analytic rules.

If its true that joint account ownership cannot apply, then how can it be possible that this case can be defended on the basis of joint ownership? It is hereby determined that husband and the wife do not share ownership in each other's resource. Any action in which one or the other un-authoritatively accesses and takes posession of the other party's belonging, under the law of NairaLand, this action constitutes stealing.

Given the aforegoing reviews, the Honorable Judge Negro hereby rules that the defendant is guilty on five counts, 1 . theft, 2. aggravated pilfering, 3. grandiose stealing, 4. break and entry with the intention to steal, 5. grand larceny with intention to disposess.

The court shall reconvene to pass sentence. The judge need to take a palmy break. Court is hereby adjourned.
RomanceRe: Can You Steal From A Spouse? by NegroNtns(m): 8:30pm On Jun 30, 2008
In a marriage how would you define joint resources?  What constitutes joint resources?  I think that is the delineation on how this action should be classified.

Redhot, your case is missing clarity.  Do they have a joint account?

Dakore, thats living the social expectations.  Thats a default!  Good is not acceptable when you dream to be the Best.  I believe, going by the responses on the thread, that the cultural expectations is a burden on all of us but moreso on women.

the culture dictates whatage bracket is ideal for marriage
you have the exhorbitance that go with the rituals itself
young couples with limited resources
then in some cultures - the man is expected to sponsor his brothers and sisters or some relative through school - denying his wife and children the best opportunity at quality of living that his earnings can afford

so many things wrong,
