To understand how he escaped go and look at the picture of when Nuhu Mohammed was arrested in Kaduna.  It tells all!  Nuhu told soldiers, armed soldiers to close eyes and bow head for prayers, and they did.
PoliticsRe: Madalla Blast: Detained Suspect Escapes by NegroNtns(m): 9:32am On Jan 17, 2012
Here is Nuhu Mohammed, supposedly under arrest already, yet no restraint or cuffs on him. . . matter of fact, the mallam is leading armed soldiers in a prayer session, heads bowed and eyes shut.  Tell me why it will be too hard for a smart and agile person not to bolt.  grin   Criminal is leading prayer!

I dont even know if I can call him criminal anymore, the emotions are different from what they were two days ago.  I should call him a saint, yeah, thats what he is . . .a saint!

Our armed forces have always been poorly trained,
. . . .and they were dispatched by a poorly trained CiC.

Would you deploy a poorly trained army on your citizens if you were President?

No,. . .hold on, where are you from again? cheesy fishermen of downcreek pedigree flock together, think alike and act similar!

The Northerners are adamant on embarassing Gej and exposing his incompetency and weakness, and by God's Grace, we Westerners will be the drum majors for this theater.

Kabiru Sokoto did not escape. . . he did not run!  Something happened!!!   The DPO, Chukuwma Okafor should account for the something.  Okafor is about to make a caricature of your SS/SE marriage.
PoliticsRe: Madalla Blast: Detained Suspect Escapes by NegroNtns(m): 6:05am On Jan 17, 2012
Stop asking question. . . .jump and tell your oga that justice will be denied to ibos killed if Kabiru Sokoto is allowed to escape outside the country.  They stood by Gej and rejoiced and cheered his action in Lagos. . . its time Gej and SS look out for their interest and assure justice for ibo blood. He should dispatch Dokubo to Abaji to go blow the place up and recover Kabiru.

GEJ has experience to back him up, the refineries were patched up last year, only to go "bad" againt almost immediately. Call it sabotage.
As for GEJ not performing miracles in his short time in office, thats all about people waiting in cracks, crevices and corners to ambush him, fit crimes and hang him. [b]It is for that reason that there are tanks in Lagos.[/b]Give the man a chance to settle down and change the country.
May God punish you for that bitter statement!

Gej was deputy governor, governor, deputy president, president. . . . no other President has had that step up career mobility.  If he hasnt acquired trhe knowledge and the know-how by now. . . .when is he going to?   When is he going to realize that if skirmishes with soldiers in Lagos had gone wrong he would embitter the whole West and consequently give Buhari and the Northerners an empowerement to rouse new attacks against his presidency?   He will then be trapped. . .      Did he not put that angle into calculation?  Morons from the creek under calculating the potential outcome of mob rebellion.

Baba agba,

I rarely get into recent political era debates but subsidy removal is something that I believe will do more damage than good.
Katz, I have no doubt in my mind that our economists must have raised alarm and advised against it whenever it was that the govt first placed subsidy on imported oil.  I can bet my life on that!

Anyone that understand the basic principle of demand and supply and understand how capitalists run global markets will agree that first, it was wrong for Nigeria to import oil, second the imported oil should never ever have been subsidized and then third, the removal should have been scaled.

So yes, you are correct that it does more damage and now a new control has to be devised to protect the domestic market from the domino effect.

I just can not stand these annoying pests.
The only people that accomodate them in Nigeria is Yoruba.  To those of us who continue to believe in "omo lua bi". . . here is what we have been saying about the nature of ibo.

They have shown their a s s today when they rejoiced at militarization of our land.  They have lost their refuge in our hearts.  They have shown they want us killed, all of us, christians and muslims and ifa worshippers alike, . . any of us with Yoruba blood flowing in our veins.

They should look to the christians in SS for sympathy when boko visit to shed ibo blood in North, which is dayam sure going to be in few hours.

Ah, creek politician is teaching productivity.  Main driver of employment in Nigeria is service sector, not agriculture, and a high percentage of that is not even trackable, at the input or putput level.  Mumu, you think gdp computation is counting fish in the creek.   grin

Katz, dont let this rascal lie to you. . . . all that bullcrap abput gdp is fabricated shyyt.  He lacks knowledge of politics and he lacks knowledge of National Labour and productivity.

PoliticsRe: Fashola For President Of Nigeria by NegroNtns(op): 8:43pm On Jan 16, 2012
From an encounter with govt in Abuja few days earlier. . . . Fashola educates Aso Rock on the principles of democracy.

Officials of the government at the special meeting with the Labour union leaders had reportedly expressed dismay at the dimension of the anti-fuel subsidy protests in Lagos and hence berated the governor for his inability to temper the tension by refusing members of the Save Nigeria Group (SNG) led by Pastor Tunde Bakare the free leverage it has been having all along.

Insiders at the meeting told Saturday Tribune that a well prepared Fashola had harangued the government officials on the manner of handling protests of a huge magnitude, disclosing to them that his government was all along vigilant about every movement of the protesters in Lagos and had devised the means of making them act peacefully.

The Lagos governor, according to reports, was vehement in declaring that democracy forbids any government to clamp down on protesters, a reason the Lagos State government resolved to manage the protests by ensuring security of lives and property, while also discouraging acts of arson and vandalism by protesters.

Fashola reportedly told the officials of government that having provided security cover for protesters and other logistics including ambulances, fire fighting equipment and a constant dialogue with the arrow heads, no one should expect the Lagos protests to degenerate into chaos.

How to achieve Igbo Presidency in 2015
In pursuit of the objective of South-East presidency in 2015, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has put forward a case and is canvassing for the rotation of the office of the president among the six geo-political zones of our country. The rallying cry for Igbo support for President Jonathan during the general elections of last April was clearly based on this particular premise. It was essentially support for a South–South presidential slot, with Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, already in the saddle at Aso Villa, as a lucky, credible and worthy beneficiary. This patriotic political Igbo gesture extended to the South-South zone in 2011 is characteristically consistent with the massive Igbo support similarly given to Chief M.K.O. Abiola’s South-West zone in 1999 cited earlier, with Chief Obasanjo triumphing over his kinsman Chief Falae, in a distinctly intra South-West presidential contest.

In line with this thinking of Ndigbo, all five governors of the South-East zone in an impressive and patriotic display of unity, irrespective of their different political party alignments, spoke with one voice and acted in unison in support of the South-South presidential candidate and selflessly abstained from the presidential and vice presidential contest. So did a good number of erstwhile South-East aspirants to the presidential seat equally abstain. So also did support for the South-South come from our respected traditional rulers, revered religious leaders of all denominations, major political stakeholders and the masses of the Igbo nation, who came out to register and support a South-South presidency at the election proper last April.

They all expect the South-East to have its turn in 2015.
President Goodluck Jonathan has publicly declared and emphatically assured our nation that he will not seek re-election at the end of his current tenure in 2015. To every politically conscious Nigerian, who believes in true and demonstrable federalism and wishes to see the strategic office of the president go round the various geo-political zones of our great country, this is the opportunity to complete the first round of zonal presidential representation, hence the South-East should take its rightful turn in 2015. Thereafter, and only thereafter, will it become fair and proper, if considered necessary, to change the extant rules of engagement, certainly not in the course of an on-going game.

By the time President Jonathan completes his tenure, South-East, the once hallowed political base of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, generally acknowledged as perhaps Nigeria’s foremost founding father, the placidly intrepid Dr. Akanu Ibiam, the indomitable Dr. Michael Okpara, the indefatigable Igbo Union leader, Chief Zacchaeus Obi and lately our legendary Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu, all of blessed memory, now sticking out in unenviable political solitude, will distinctly remain the only zone that has not held the top-most executive office in our country since Independence in 1960.

Producing the next president by the South-East, a zone replete with outstandingly capable hands, is therefore, not a favour waiting to be granted, but a logically due and legitimate political right justly accruing to it within the Nigerian family in a true ‘federal character’ setting. Ndigbo worldwide fervently and fraternally urge all Nigerians and our various political parties to see the case of South East presidency in this equity-generated light.
Jonathan has duped you all into refraining from contesting with him with a reciprocal gesture to install an ndigbo in Aso.   Does it even look remotely like Jonathan is thinking about you, when he has initiated a desire to extend his term?  He is trying to save his nexck, he will be lucky to finish one term, much more install ibo in power .   The powers that installed Gej in power will decide who replaces him when that time comes. . . thats not Gej's decision to make.

PoliticsFashola For President Of Nigeria by NegroNtns(op): 7:57pm On Jan 16, 2012
Dear Lagosians,

For the past few days, I have monitored the developments related to the public protest against the increase in the pump price of petrol.

During that period, I have at the invitation of my colleagues in the Governor’s Forum responded to an invitation from the Presidency.

My role since last Monday till date has been to find a ground of compromise that stabilizes the polity, protects our democracy and prevent any loss of lives. Inspite of these efforts, we were not wholly successful in preventing the loss of the life of a young Nigerian, AdemolaAderinto who was sadly shot.

I am truly saddened by that ugly development. While I condole with his family, I pledge the commitment of our Government to bring the alleged perpetrator to justice.

I have decided to address you today in view of the very disquieting developments that occurred overnight especially the deployment of soldiers across Lagos.

[bold] I have the highest respect for members of our military, especially because they have made a contract with all of us that they will willingly lay down their lives whenever it becomes necessary to do so, in order to protect us.

This covenant is instructive, because soldiers did not sign up to stop us from expressing our grievance about things that we are displeased about.[/bold]

It is not disputable that the citizens who have gathered in several parts of Lagos like Falomo, Ikorodu and Ojota to mention a few have largely conducted themselves peacefully, singing and dancing while they expressed their displeasure at the way that we have taken decisions that affect them.

[bold]That in my view should not offend those of us in Government. The majority of these people who represent diverse interests have not broken any law. If they have, it is my opinion that in a constitutional democracy, it is the police that hasthe responsibility for restoring law and order if civil protests threatens the breach of the peace.

This is not justification for sending out soldiers to a gathering of unarmed citizens. Every one of us, or at least majority of us who hold public office danced and sang before these same people when we were seeking their votes.

Why should we feel irritated when they sing and dance in protest against what we have done?[/bold]

For me this is not a matter for the military. The sooner we rethink and rescind this decision the better and stronger our democracy will be.

If anything, this is a most welcome transformation of our democracy in the sense that it provokes a discussion of economic policies and this inevitably may result in political debate.

I therefore urge the reconsideration of the decision to deploy soldiers and implore the President and Commander-in-Chief to direct their withdrawal from our streets, I must also emphasize that the rights of free speech and protest is not absolute. They impose the duty not to break the law, breach the peace, endanger human life or destroy property whether public or private.

They also impose the duty to respect the rights of others not to support our protest and indeed to support what we oppose. At the end of the day, it is a contest of ideas in which the most persuasive will get the endorsement of the majority of the people we serve.

I am convinced that our democracy is mature enough to accommodate this. We must do our best to ensure that it does.

God bless you all.

Look at ibos jumping for joy that Gej disperse soldiers to Lagos.  When boko kill your people in North, Yorubas decry the carnage and demand Gej act.  I guess we know now that SS will save SE from boko savagery. . . . you dont need Yoruba sympathy.  Gej should dispatch boots and guns to North like he just did in Lagos to save your blood from spilage in boko's hands.  right?

Who said we need oil for our economy in West to survive?   No, we do not!  The new measure after the country divides will be taxation.  We will impose a different tax scale on non-citizens.  The Biafran citizens living in West will fund our economy.  Didnt the Ibos say their citizens number in billions in Lagos and that their business is very successfull?  Well, thats good news to know!

These are Gej's footsoldiers in NL. . . . they are here to spread propaganda. When you challenge their claim they have no direct answer so they log off and come back in with a new ID and corroborate the previous claim that hasnt yet been clarified or resolved. They go in and out many times with alternate IDs corroborating and supporting to give legitimacy to their fabrications.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Ask Jonathan To Withdraw Troops From Lagos Streets – Full Speech by NegroNtns(m): 5:18pm On Jan 16, 2012
Downcreek politicking. . . send boots and guns to express political voice! cheesy

This dispatch shows that Gej has lost control of the democratic process and is reverting to martial law to exercise his duty as President.  A total disregard and violation of the constitution.  The scale of the protest and the conduct does not demand a response on the scale of boots and guns. . . . we detested the uneducated Northerner ruling over Nigeria, but an educated fisherman Presiding over Nigeria is no better than an uneducated cow herder.   Gej has wasted the credibilities of academic credentials.

Even some guy from Ibadan was threatening ''N65 or war''.

The obvious question being, Has Ibadan produced even half a drop of oil since it became inhabited?

So who are you to be threatening ''war'' from Ibadan over something that does not belong to you?
To the Rossikk fool who wrote the remarks above,

Osun was carved out of Oyo and the capital was Ibadan. Read the above article. You see how politics is played in Ibadan? From Ibadan to Lagos and the policy is outlined and distributed. This is how you play national politics. This is democracy at work for you, not downcreek politics where a President in Aso dispatches a thug in the creek called Dokubo to threaten to blow things up if people protest Gej policy. You see how Ibadan fight a political cause that your own son of the soil, Gej does not know how to fight without a bomb blast?

Now, who owns the oil? Ibadan, not you, dictates and decides what happens to your oil.
PoliticsRe: If The Deltans Support Subsidy Removal, Who Are You To Talk? by NegroNtns(m): 5:22am On Jan 16, 2012
Even some guy from Ibadan was threatening ''N65 or war''.
. . . .oh, let me give you a new version of that spin, here it is:  #65 or Gej bow out of Govt.   cheesy

The obvious question being, Has Ibadan produced even half a drop of oil since it became inhabited?
Ibadan was the mecca of West Africa back when pygmies in East were still wearing leaves to cover g e n itals,  . . and guess what, it had no oil!  You have oil and you are still behind Ibadan's urban development. . . . .no one is attracted to your region, even your own citizens detach and abandon home to go live in Ibadan, the city without oil.  Ibadan brought TV to Nigeria, Ibadan brought radio to Nigeria, Ibadan, with its cocoa earnings, fed Nigeria.   Ibadan never whined and it never complained. . . it did it with grace.  It is time for Ibadan to be taken care of. . . .and your oil money will do that, at #65. . . otherwise, Ibadan will kick Gej out.  cool

So who are you to be threatening ''war'' from Ibadan over something that does not belong to you?
. . . because Ibadan is the political nerve center for the entire country.  It doesn't have to belong to us. . . we delegate ownership of it from the distance.    When Ibadan delegated authority and dispatched to Lagos to do everything possible and in its power to make sure Gej succeed Yar'adua. . . .did it not happen?  If Ibadan again delegate power and dispatch authority to have Gej succeeded by someone else, it shall also happen.  Ibadan is your kingmaker. . . you better bow before we bring in a succession to your downcreek hero in Aso.  B L O O D Y   FO O L !!! cool
