Efforts to contact the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Relations, who is also an Igbo, Mr. Kester Ogualli on telephone proved abortive as his GSM line was switched off.

Vanguard covered the first session of the meeting before journalists were asked to leave the venue to enable the state governor and the two bodies interact. Those in attendance included the Chairman of CAN, Rev. Yuguda Mdurvwa, his Secretary, Rev. Fai Pama and few leaders of the Yoruba community.

However, following threats to life by the Boko Haram, the Joint Task Force, JTF, “Operation Restore Order” in Maiduguri, the state capital has imposed a curfew on Maiduguri metropolis and Jere Council areas beginning from 5pm to 7am each day.

A statement by the Commander of the JTF, Major General Jack Nwaogbo, which was signed on his behalf by the Field Operations Commander, Col. Victor Ebheleme advised members of the public to comply, as anyone who violets such order will be dealt with according to the Rules of Engagement
Igbos need to shut the fvck up about how their silence is a mystical strength! Fvck your strength. . . .uptil now you have been the only brave Southerners, every other tribe in the South was a coward. Now come time to test your bravery and you are borrowing from the Yoruba model.

Look at the highlights. . . SE people are on the top hierarchy of the authority in Maiduguri and yet to know that your own people at top dont care about protecting and shielding you goes a long way to demonstrate why your people flee home and prefer to shield under the umbrella and protection of rival tribes than their own people. Seriously, we need to psychoanalyze the igbo tribe. . . . what is wrong with your unity and tribal identity? Its fvcked up!!

A Yorub people will never occupy these three positions and not seek a cover for their people, nor Hausa.

Beaf, is this the people you are agitating to camp sovereignty with? I pity your downcreek a s s . bambastik rasklat! angry angry

You mention OBJ? You think if they had it in for him the way the do for Jonathan, that he would have achieved the little he did during his tenure? If he's so competent and 'tough' as you claim, how come he couldn't get a handle on the sharia issue which began during his tenure, and has now festered into what we see today? They brought in 'sharia' during his tenure for the simple reason that they were bitter that a christian southerner was occupying what they saw as their birthright, and they wanted to make the seat a bit uncomfortable for him.
Sharia law had been with the Northerners before White man arrived in this country and it remained with them after he left. Most of you go live in Hausaland for 20, 30 yrs and still have no clue about their history and their values. Every Hausa state has a Chief Justice and Grand Khadi. The CJ is for the British legacy and the Grand Khadi is for the Sharia law. Citizens in Hausa states always had the choice to be tried in a statutory court or in a Sharia court. The news of this age long practice just got to you in OBJ's regime and hence you think Sharia is a new thing in Arewa. mumu!

You sound like Americans that never knew where Iraq was located on the map, even though the country is older than Rome. . . .v thank Bush for the war and the media for bringing the map to the American households, now everyone know where Iraq is located.

It is a fact that the predominant religion in Igboland and Eastern Nigeria is Christianity. If you have ever FULLY read the Bible (especially the old testament), you would see that it was almost written by an Igbo man!
ME CHIONU!!  I was going to keep quiet and respect your thread but then you said this nonsense.  You made a good call for the memory of your leader, keep it that way and stay focused on that.  Do not say anything controversial or you will invite people you'd rather not have come in here.

PoliticsRe: In Peace Or In Pieces by NegroNtns(m): 7:10am On Jan 13, 2012
I know, and I just said the same thing but using a different analogy!

They are running national economy like you would trade on the floors of the security exchange. . . . .prospecting the odds of gains and losses against the social temperament and how consumer mood may uplift or downshift profit on a commodity value stream.

Our leaders are prospecting oil above its market value and undercutting the price, when their profit margin takes a hit and they come short at the end of the day what each share basket had projected to take home they panicked and rather than absorb the loss, they instead dumped it on the consumer. The income from subsidy removal is not for future projects. . . it is actually for projects in the pipeline that they had committed the treasury to. They need a bailout to save the treasury and this is why they took away the subsidy.

We dont have global market competition for our oil, so the subsidy does not help us in that aspect, what hurts is the exchange rate for our naira. If our naira valued at par with the dollar, paying at the market rate at the pump will not hurt our pocket. So truly, the subsidy itself is a virtual protection, devaluation of our currency is truly where the problem lies. Anyway. . .let me shut up! lol.

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Members May Face Crimes Against Humanity – UN by NegroNtns(m): 6:00am On Jan 13, 2012
I understand.  In your mind the North is bokoharam, to the international parties you depend on for support, the North is separate from boko.  How do you prove membership in boko and how do you assess the crimes and the perpetrators involvement.  Where do you go to exact penalty against a faceless non-sovereign entity?  This is not a state, this is a grassroot movement fighting a domestic war.  The Federal Government of Nigeria has not given it international status, so why believe UN in this foolish statement for trying to intrnationalize it?

You all take UN serious.  UN only made this statement to console spirits. . . . to remind of its own legitimacy as the protector of humanity.  Dont expect anything serious from this people.  Did you not see Sudan?  Bashir told UN to go to h_ll after they declared him wanted for war crimes against humanity.  Well, during the independence of South Sudan, Bashir was in the meeting with UN delegates to sign the accord and treaty.  Why didnt they arrest him. . . .heck, why did they even recognize his presence and signature at all?
PoliticsRe: In Peace Or In Pieces by NegroNtns(m): 5:45am On Jan 13, 2012
The National Assembly must ask him to give us the breakdown of the subsidy on petrol with receipts and the total revenue from the Nigeria LNG and excess crude account.
I doubt they have kept proper accounting records since the end of the civil war.  I hope Nigerians are aware that our entire national budget is a spending against projected oil revenue.  It is not charged against actuals.  This loophole makes our economy very attractive for foreign contractors.  In black market terms, we are running the books with our economy.  If the market were to boycott our oil exports we will end up bankrupt within a fiscal cycle.

If we adopt proper record keeping and accounting standard, there is no reason why certain income bracket could not be exempted from income tax and the national economy remains buoyant inspite of their exclusion.

PoliticsRe: Fg Planning State Of Emergency In Lagos – Acn by NegroNtns(m): 3:24am On Jan 13, 2012
I dont understand you guys. You want to live in a democratic society but you criticize all the instruments and dynamism that are needed for a healthy competition and political progress to blossom. It is in proper order for ACN to inject partisan politics into the protest on the streets. It is in their democratic interest to do just that. I would question their priority if they did not use the opportunity to attack the central party.

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) military training (pics) by NegroNtns(m): 3:01am On Jan 13, 2012
When the colonial government created our police force and army, they were not created with the intent to protect the citizens. They were created to protect the elite Bristish administrators and theiur families from the savagery of the natives. So the training regimen was such that the recruits will be deprived of their humanity. Its the opposite to how wild broncos are tamed for domestication. . . . in this case you you take domestication out of the man and put in wildness in and turn him loose. That way, they only follow the leader and obey the leader, everything else not identified in line of leadership is trampled underfoot and stampeded to death or near death.

After the white man left, we indoctrinated the legacy into a ccurriculum based teaching and perfected it to protect the black leadership and elites that sits in the executive position against the citizen who might wake up one day and realize he is been fvcked and would like to give the fvck back to the man on top. These pictures show how to train the soldier in the act of self-denigration; after he is graduated and turned loose he is ready to denigrate others.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Kills 4 Igbo Traders trying to flee from Yola by NegroNtns(m): 10:49pm On Jan 11, 2012
We (the igbos) should start making serious preparations for war - its very obvious that events are heading that way.

we will be at full alert but we will not throw the first punch no matter the amount of provocation.

We will fight back after several attacks. that way we will be able to access their strength and weaknesses! and no body will say we caused the war.
but isnt this what your igbo brothers call "cowardice" when Yoruba demonstrate restraint in the face of provocation?
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Kills 4 Igbo Traders trying to flee from Yola by NegroNtns(m): 10:23pm On Jan 11, 2012
Should the state govt not have put some resources together to help them leave North and then maybe some tempoorary shelter or housing in their states in the East to help their rehabilitation.

I agree someone up there for 20yrs cannot just get up and go and its a loss but thats where state govt comes into play.   If Federal is handicapped, are the state governors equally incompetent to protect their citizens?
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Kills 4 Igbo Traders trying to flee from Yola by NegroNtns(m): 10:07pm On Jan 11, 2012
May their souls rest in peace, Amen.

This is disgusting. . . very very inhuman!  Wasn't this the same bokoharam whose spokesperson Abu Qaqa said yesterday that Islam forbids certain tactics in war or attacks. . . ?  Well Islam forbids chasing after and attacking a fleeing opponent and the killing of a fleeing person is murder, punishable in sharia.

They are not fighting, they are not in arms, they are vacating where they are not wanted, so why attack them?
PoliticsRe: Igbo Reprisal In The South: Are There Attacks On Mosques In Enugu? by NegroNtns(m): 5:18pm On Jan 11, 2012
Some idiots are circulating rumors and getting people on edge unecessarily. The Hausas are already suspicious and high on alert. . . any little misinformation in the wrong direction could trigger panic and the wrong response leading to proactive acts of defense that might cost lives and properties.

People need to watch what they say and how they go about sharing and exagerrating lies. The Hausas in East may have fled but I'm sure there are still multitude of igbos in North, men, women and children. . . . for their sake people should exercise caution with spreading info.

We all need to keep good faith and allow events to unroll itself instead of rushing it on. Facts, not rumors and lies!
PoliticsRe: Two-face: ACN governors and leaders secretly want subsidy removal by NegroNtns(m): 6:43am On Jan 11, 2012
Ndigbos are yet to learn and correct the errors of their fathers in the 60s and 70s. The likes of Awolowo, Sardauna, Balewa, Akintola were front, right and left providing an umbrella of protection and cover to make sure their citizens"s welfare is not neglected in the interest of relating in the federal collocation. On the other hand, Ojukwu and Zik left their own people vulnerable and unprotected, they were busy dipping their noses in the business in North and West and trying to always intervene and rescue a situation in other people region while their own is on fire.

Look at these rascals on Nairaland the way they exhibit the same precise attitude about their homeland and citizens. Yoruba and Hausa here in NL mind their business and talk about developments in their land. Ndigbo never initiate any such rally around the homefront, instead they want to talk about Lagos, Ibadan, Kano, Kaduna. This is an indication that if a war should erupt, your strategy for your homeland will not produce a different outcome than the one you had in 1970 at the end of the civil war. Leave alone what others are doing, you have a home. . . focus on your own home. Nobody will do the job of developing it for you, you alone are responsible for that. Face Eastward, thats where your home is Nchara. . .

The group, in a statement on Sunday, also called on Igbo in the northern part of the country to vacate the area and relocate to any place outside the North  East.
Double wahala for dead body. . . .

We know where things are heading and West is formulating ideas on its own sovereignty for its citizens only, no one else.  Its time for Biafra to begin, you all should head home, not just anywhere.
PoliticsRe: Kalu Seeks End To Killings In The North: Warns Of Reprisals by NegroNtns(m): 1:59am On Jan 11, 2012
It is a good statement but misplaced.

Do you think if this was Hausa President sirtting in power, sorrounded left and right by Northerners, that he would not protect his people against terrorism in the South? Do you think if this was a Yoruba President sorrounded by Westerners left and right that he would not dispatch force against attacks on Yorubas in East or North? So why do we have a Southern President sorrounded left and right by Southerners and SouthEasterners and SEasterners are being killed in North, yet all he says is his government is handicapped because someone else is in control ? Why cant GEJ protect people in his own region like a Yoruba or Hausa president will want to do for people in their respective regions?
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: Group Warns Northerners To Leave N/delta! by NegroNtns(m): 1:48am On Jan 11, 2012
WARRI – Niger Delta Indigenous Movement For Radical Change, NDIMRC, yesterday issued a 21-day ultimatum to Northerners to quit the oil-rich region.

According to a statement by its President, Nelly Emma, Secretary, John Sailor and Public Relations Officer, Mukoro Stanley, the group described as senseless the killings of Christians in the North by Boko Haram and ordered all Northerners in the South, West and East of the country to return home within 21 days or face reprisal attacks.

The group said: ‘’We want to make it known to the Sultan of Sokoto and other Northern leaders that we are aware of their game plan to frustrate President Jonathan. The President is a nice man; if not a lot of people would have been killed by now as the late President Musa Yar’Adua did in the Niger Delta region by killing innocent people of Gbaramatu Kingdom of Delta State.”
Would someone please tell him there is a update. . . West is led by OPC and not  NDIRMC.   Decisions that affect West is voiced by OPC, not anyone else.  If we want his voice we will let him know, until then he is not speaking for us.
PoliticsRe: Two-face: ACN governors and leaders secretly want subsidy removal by NegroNtns(m): 1:44am On Jan 11, 2012
@topic,

The answer is simple! I will interprete what you asked. Why is WEST leadership not participating in the protest. There is a role for everyone. Street protest is not their role and so the Westerners acknowledge that. We would rather they dig down in the trenches and start formulating a Western emergence out of the chaos. If that's what they are doing, then they are perfectly serving the people in the role they are elected to perform.

In this time of chaos and when everyone is faced inward to their own regional trouble, you are wondering what West is doing when you ought to wonder what East is doing. Aren't you a fool? Have you seen any Westerner here wonder what you are doing in East, or what they are doing in North? We are independent and its time Igbo start acting independently. Look inward to your own problem. . . let others handle theirs.
