Topic: Ézè Ǹrì gi gá Frontier Culture Museum | Nigerian king to visit FCM Question: Na who nominate am King of anybody, much more of Nigeria? |
To all the pro Briafra soldiers and patriots, its ndigbo like Ifeanyi Uba that fear a dissolution of Nigeria. People like him need a broad and diverse pool of worshippers to boost his ego. In a dissolved Nigeria the pool narrows and is dry and confining - a threat to his self-worth! |
Hmm, but how does one neglect the certain present for the uncertain and indeterminable tomorrow? I mean, there is nothing wrong with seeking to make life better but if the needs of today are not attended to, it very well might not be anyone soundly alive to enjoy the envisioned utopian idea. Let's picture a spoked wheel, say a bicycle wheel for instance. If the hub at the center of the wheel represent "truth", and the wide circumfrence of the wheel represent the society and its order, then the spokes represent the multiciplity of paths to take in order to address social problems. In that spoke, logic is represented, so is instict, so is insight, inuition and other means of expression. I have much to say but I'm sleepy and must retire to bed now. |
<quote> This isn't a place where everyone is invited to "contribute". </quote> Well, you know how to keep me quiet and in the background - keep your marvellous culture "strictly Igbo" and do not implicitly or explicitly encroach into areas that are not Igbo and those that do not wish to indentify as igbo. Stuffs like "Nri was respected all over Southern Nigeria"; "Agbor was a Kingdom"; "Aro was an Empire" . . . .will make me a self-invited contributor. You already know this but I thought it was worth reminding you. |
Morpheus, You are a theorist, far removed from mundane realities to appreciate the inner struggles of men. You speak from an idealist view. You should not judge Farrakhan or any man for that matter because the actions you judged are played out in real terms of timeliness and space. Farrakhan does not act in the abstract and neither are his speculations far from their targets. |
Morpheus, I read your response to NLT on the question of why your despise of Mr Farrakhan. I want to caution that in the global struggle for Black resurgence there are many at the forefront who sacrifice self and family to act as a shield of protection against insulting disrespect and threat of surbordination by rival races and Mr Farrakhan is one of those sentries gurading the gateway for us. Mode of expression come in diverse styles. There are those who find their expression and voice in purely logical order and others who do so using a philosophical approach and yet we have others who must project their physicality forcefully in order to represent. The more we reduce everyone in our race to a narrow and single style of expression, in this case "logical", then the less acceptable it is for original ideas to spring forth for fear of being labeled and denigrated by people like you. Most of the European philosophers we worship in our so called intellectual "corps de academia" were never educated themselves. Their knowledge were works of inspired thoughts and originality in metaphysical and occultism. If Homer can be as great a man as he is held the world over, then I see no reason why Mr Farrakhan cannot be appreciated and revered for his wisdom and insights, particularly where his style and approach are crdited with proven and effective results favorable to those under the umbrella of his guardianship. He ought to be a model to others wishing for a "politically sacred" Black race. |
Almajiri is a national welfare problem. Boko Haram is not a national problem. |
<quote> If Nigeria cripples by 2015, </quote> Aloy, "if" is speculative. There are three of them in your three paragraph post. Be more definite. |
I support the OP's call for regulation. If the entrepreneurs cannot self-regulate then they will be mandated by law to review and conform their practices within a narrow band od tolerance in the interest of the majority's need for sanity and moral space. |
They didn't just occupy the office, someone voted them in. SE need a civic awareness campaign. You need to rally your people up in a coordinated but educational style to 1. Enumerate the political pain of SE under PDP membership. 2. Indentify the root cause of the problems. 3. Propose plans for resolving it at next election. 4. Start a mobilization campaing to go village to village and commit people to a resolve that will bring a deserved political success to SE. |
What do Igbos take the rest of Nigerians for, dummies like you? The Igbo suspect is not ambigously defined and he is clearly not of mixed background. The buzu guy was a different suspect. If as you imply he did not his father but was raised by the mother then he could not in any way have been a convert. He would have grown up attending madrasa and before enrolling in western education. Think about the implication for your people, there is a political cost to this. Worry less about disproving his identity. |
You should not abandon PDP. You currently have voice representation in PDP. Why would you want to dump that? I say remain in PDP but float APGA as a mainstream contender. Whichever way it ends, you have presence; it mat not be what you want, but you have a tangible power that you can use smartly to steadily and enduringly use to advantage and eliminate rivals and emerge as the top dawg! Did you not read what Obj said about House of Reps position few days ago? Go and re-read and analyze his intent. The man is not stupid, he is mischievious! I hope his mischief pays out in good favor. |
Yes continue but no more lies or I will call you out again. Odemchi, you heard me? |
Onlytruth, You need to care which party APGA merges with. Seriously!! Igbos are abandoning PDP after it became clear 2015 Presidency is out of your reach. You are mistaken if you think your merge with A C N will get it for you in 2015, 2019 or 2023. Why must Igbos form union with others, are you able to stand confidently alone? Float APGA as an independent and unallied party. |
Lol, they said Igbo of Imo state caught in Boko Haram terror cell. His brother, "south-east", instead of deliberating and pondering on the implications on his people, who uptil now have called northerners all kind of name labels to ridicule and position them generally as terror race, decided to open a fresh post to label Westerners as terrorists. Igbos are dumb! Lol!! |
Chinenyen, Why are you ignoring "truth"? |
Lol! All of a sudden its no longer a northern almajiri problem, its a national problem now. Oh really? No this is not a national problem, until an authentic report comes out in which Yoruba is arrested, no, it remains an almajiri and iyanmiri problem! |
<Quote> Many Igbo kingdoms grew prominent and powerful. The Kingdom of Agbor was very powerful in that it and its neighbours played a large role in halting the advance of the Benin Empire Eastward. However, two Igbo kingdoms became unimaginably powerful and famous: that of the Aros and the kingdom of Nri.The Nri Kingdom based in Nri city was an important and significant place in olden times. Nri had a strong religious influence and served as a Mecca across Southern Nigeria. </quote> Odumchi, I am not always in NL does not mean I will never return. I've only been gone few days and you are taking liberty to lie and "call a dog a monkey". What in your estimate is a kingdom is nothing more than a clan with a chief ruling over them. Using the standard of measure for kingdoms in Africa, nobody ever heard of a Abgor kingdom before white man came to liberate you friom the bush and show you the way. Then you had audacity to put it at same pedestal with Bini Empire. Are there no sons of Bini on this forum to choke the insult down your gaddem throat? Nobody knew of Nri much less how to find it, and you shamelessly called it a mecca . . . .you fool! Which people paid homage to Nri? |
Good Morning Fellow Nairalanders, I will not be returning as often as in the past to share and contribute, to learn and to challenge but I have enjoyed tremendously my interaction on this site. From time to time I will check in but my presence and participation will be far-inbetween. To the residents of New York city, I am happy to be a new addition to your awesome city. Hopefully we run into one another sometime. Anyway, I love everyone and you all be good. No war! Lol. |
<quote> 27-year-old Nigerian, Mohammed Abul Barra. </quote> You think he is Nigerian, who knows; maybe, maybe not |
Boko Haram is not faceless. Govt has been in touch with them and initiated interest for a negotiated ceasefire before the UN bombing. Gej is trying the Bush-Obama style of fighting insurgency. Bush in his later years in Iraq realized he could make peace and end hostilities quicker by using back-door approach to contact and settle the Iraqi insurgents. Obama used the same approach in Kandahar with invited leaders of Taliban. President Jonathan is using that model to get a ssettlement and ceasefire with Boko. |
To all you camels asking for Mamman's picure, you don't need one. Here is what you to do to help arrest the bastard: 1. Look people for semblance of Arewa features; 2. Ask people you suspect if they are Mamman. Ex: sir, are you Mamman Nur? 3. If a positive response is obtained you tell the mugu to lay on the ground and not move. Look around for any goat or ragon on a rope leash. Free the animal but use the rope to tie Mamman's hands behind his back. 4. Call police or sss and tell them to drop your reward off first and then come get Mamman. 5. If you don't get your drop off then feel free to call Boko Haram. Tell them to negotiate with you for release of the murderer. 6. If guilty conscience bother you about setting him free, then go knock in the neighborhood and borrow a dagger. Say Allahu Akbar and slaughter Mamman. Then dismember him for parts and find a buyer in your local market that need transplant with the heart of a terrorist. If all else fail, take picture of Mamman Nur and share with us so one of the brave hearts in NL can do this job. Good luck! |
I hate to say this, Boko is a movement, far ideological than any IBB, Gusau, Sambo or anyone can turn around from its self-attained position. Northerners reverence their Emirs and Kings "waaaayyy" far more that people in the South. The ruler is the standard bearer of the community and everylife in it. For this reason Northern politicans do not trespass into customary laws. Woe betide the entity that threatens the life or property of an Emir. Boko Haram has issued a threat against some of them when it called them to order and admonishes them on their roles. Now, woe betides the one that threatens the interest of Boko. I want to see if Gusau is willing to sacrifice his life, in a bloodshell for the sake of protecting Gej's regime. With the bombing of UN building we ae simply past the cajoling stage. War has been declared! |
I dey follow you sing that song. So Gej is now going to Gusau, a contender for his seat to help find solution to a menace (Boko) that want to unseat him. I can understand with the uneducated Nigerians, but well educated Nigerian scholars like Gej will make it hard for parents to appreciate the benefit of western education. Oops!! Hope Boko don't see this comment! |
Biafran Intelligence Agency! What is that? |
<quote> The source said the fight of the political Boko Haram was a 2015 battle, adding that it was aimed at positioning some elements in the northern part of Nigeria as veritable candidates to inherit power. </quote> This is a lazy "uncovering"! Lmao, so all these international intelligence grps got together only to formulate business operations and keep business interruption at minimal. Wow! |
On Kamati's AFRICOM, I wrote a post long time ago on the action and interest of Eric Prince (Blackwater) in his dealings with a sub-contracted security group whose members are former Apartheid squad members to combat militancy and wipe out al shabaab in Somalia. Mr Prince is so hungry and eager to get in Nigeria on a security detail that I won't under-estimate his involvement covertly to forment security threats and stimulate response to contract his services. When Bush was in power and Rumsfeld was defense secretary, Prince lobbied aggressively to enter Delta and wipe out MEND. The Abu Ghraib and other problems beset Rumsfeld at the time and Blackwater was not successful in its bid. I'm not concluding or alleging anything but the knowlledge is a piece worth shining light on. |
