For your sake, you better not be serious.

Why? I don't see anything extraordinary in what I wrote. Every normal dateable girl should have at least some of those qualities. I know a bunch with most of those qualities. Not like she has to have all, no1 z perfect, im not either. But the question was things that turn us on isn't it. Im not desperate, and I don't settle for less, its just choice which I think most guys should start having.

Cc Skondo09 as well.

Family / Re: Which Is More Important In Marriage? Love Or Character by NellyGhenghen(m): 3:22pm On Dec 02, 2015
Character obviously. The person you marry has to be your friend, and you can be friends only with people who's character you like. Its not rocket science. Marriage is a life time commitment. That initial puppy love eventually wears out and you lot will have to fall back on the bond you share to stay together and if that bond is not there the marriage crashes. You can't give Agape love, only God does that. But you can be friends with someone forever.

Business / Re: 3 Youngest Nigerian Billionaires Today.No.1 Is Lagos Island Biggest Boy(pics) by NellyGhenghen(m): 3:50pm On Nov 27, 2015
basilo101:

Igbos prefer thousands of millionaires to tens of billionairs. Each person is mandated to redistribute his wealth by trainig and settling as many as possible. While Igbos have those that will match the above names u metioned, such as pachal dozie, zinox, Juhel, Ornage Drugs, Nestoil, Ibeto, Capital oil, Orji uzo kalu, coscharis, Chivita, emeka offor, Arthur eze, Peace Air, etc, yoruba lack the the caliber of Alaba and Onitsha boys which are ordinary common men rising to become millionairs through trade

True. That Nigeria is able to have a set of people to call middle class its thanks to the Igbos. There are more Igbo millionaires ( self made without govt loot) than there are in any other tribe. I don't support tribalism or any of that nonsense but this is just a fact.

Now it has to do with the most powerful Black man in Britain and he is Nigerian? No Biafra?, No Igbo?, No flat head? We all know so well if the person in question had committed an offence the insults would have rolled in, irrespective of if he had set foot here Or not.

I just hope this tribalism thing is just a joke and you guys aren't like that in person, otherwise this country is doomed. We have enough problems already to add division to it. Plus its really stupid, childish and disgusting and this applies to everyone involved.

Are these annual fees or per term? I don't care how much money you have or who you are, these schools listed are ridiculously expensive for primary and secondary education. What more could they possibly be teaching them there that a standard private school wouldn't or even public schools if things were right in this country. Just another means to seperate the corrupt elite from the "poor masses". This is total rubbish. If it were to be in advanced societies with functional government not a crime ridden corruption infested country like Nigeria, where thieves are celebrated and everyone is waiting for their own oppurtunity to steal, parents who's kids attend those schools would be probed. Do you know how much that is from Jss1 to SS3? Where and how do you get that sort of money to spare in Nigeria with the make believe "situation of things" in the country?

Nigerians are really patient tbh.

The reason Nigeria performs well in U17 but doesn't in the major world cup is simple, they don't allow these youngsters grow together into the senior team. You won't see or hear of most of these talented young lads ever again after this undecided

How you want to end a relationship just like that, after three years. Why didn't u end it long time ago? So basically uve just wasted three years of your life?

People need to know what they want before going Into LTR. LTR should be with someone you intend to marry and you need to make sure that person is someone you can actually spend the rest of your life with first before even starting anything.

Op it sounds more like you are the one who is tired and wants to break up otherwise you won't be asking how. Met someone else maybe? anyway if she doesn't entice you anymore save the poor girl further stress and break if off with her like a man. You didn't need advice on how to toast her nor how to Bleep her, do this same way you did those.

Romance / Re: 7 Reasons Why Your Long Time Boyfriend Will Never Marry You by NellyGhenghen(m): 3:57pm On Nov 12, 2015
This post is not realistic,

First of all, its every man's wish to marry the girl he is in a LTR with. No man will waste that much time, and invest so much on a girl he has no intention to marry I even find it difficult to spend on a girl I don't like or a girl who isn't a close friend at least. If its about money, everyman man will give the woman he really loves the world if he could. Keyword here being love, its a different case when you v just known each other for 2 weeks or 2months and u start making outrageous demands, that jus screams ho ho ho. Thats not enough time for him to love you, you need to prove yourself worthy. And its advicable to ladies to have your own thing. He ll respect you more and will be more willing to spend.

Speaking on "when he has had every part of you". If you v been together for a long time, the worst that could happen in this case is he ll get a temporary side chick not break things off with you if he loves you atleast a bit and maybe u got a bit complacent, it won't be more than a one night thing. But let me tell you, if you get a man that really loves you, he ll never cheat on you or get tired as long as you don't get complacent and u keep showing him love and support and improving yourself too. The notion that all men cheat irrespective is not true.

About beauty brains, no guy will stay in LTR with a dumb chick who has nothing to offer to his life.

I pity IBos shouting Biafra when we don't even like each other. I wonder how we will co exist. They really don't know what they are about to get themselves into. I'm IBO but above all I'm Nigerian and I believe in a united truly federal Nigeria. And if Godforbid the Biafra country happens I'm holding on to my Nigerian Nationality. Biafra is going to be the biggest mistake ndigbo will ever make. It can't even work cos the south south aren't joining you guys. Most of you will still end up running back to Nigeria. Be careful what you wish for.

Politics / Re: #Our5k: Nigerian Youths Demand Fulfillment Of Campaign Promises On Twitter by NellyGhenghen(m): 5:32pm On Nov 05, 2015
People need to chill with this 5k/Month thing, thats the problem with Nigerians, always looking for ways to make quick cash and satisfy todays needs not considering the future.

What do the youths want to do with 5k/Month? shey na to buy recharge cards or transport yourself from one place to another for a whole month? In present day Nigeria you cant even save anything out of that amount, it ll be done in a few days. So whats the point? what impact will that have on your future?

That ll just be further waste of money, not to talk of the many Nigerians that will abuse the system.

The federal government should use those funds instead to put something that will make life after university easier for the youths in place. 5k a month is RUBBISH.

Politics / Re: Should CBN Print More Money To Aid Our Dwindling Economy? by NellyGhenghen(m): 4:10pm On Nov 01, 2015
Federalism- All states should fend for themselves using what they have. That's the only way out. This will reduce importation as Nigerians will be forced to industrialize, This will also lead to the growth of more cities and take pressure off the capital and Lagos and will also improve patriotism.

And since the Nigerian entertainment industry is banging right now and is worth over 100 billon dollars, the government needs to take advantage and tap into it. I don't know what they ve been waiting for and why thy haven't done this yet, this should even be considered before agriculture. They can invest in it and take the industry to mars making Nigeria more attractive to foreigners same way the US is. It won't take much cos the entertainment industry is already up there. And these celebs should be stopped from spending unnecessarily abroad. They should be stopped especially from shooting videos abroad enriching other countries. South Africans don't come here to shoot. If you shoot ur videos abroad sell it there. Or pay tax to play it here. And the affairs of MTN and Multichoice should n the likes should be looked into, these companies are not Nigerian. We must always remember this. Time for play is over, this is a desperate situation, desperate measures must be implied. Days of crude oil spoils are gone, we need to start acting like a proper nation or Nigeria will become a jungle in coming years.

Here is my transcript.

Had my interview at 9:00am on the 21st of October at the us embassy Abuja. Arrived there at about 8am and had to wait, whilst waiting, I had a brief chat with this guy who was applying for a B1 visa. At about 8:50am they called us in. Went through all processes including biometrics and then sat to wait for my turn. There were only two of us for an F1 visa at that period.

Skip to my interview.. met the black lady at window 9.

Me: Good morning

VO: Good morning, hand me your documents..

(I handed her my passport, i20 and Ds160)

VO: (After a brief look at my I20) It says on your i20 that you are going to study biology (waving my i20 with a non chalant attitude).. I mean why this course.

Me: Because it's one of the pre med majors offered at the university, and of all other pre med majors offered its the one that closely matches the prerequisites for med school... this program will qualify me for med school and thats my end goal hence the choice.

VO: So why did you pick Le tourneau university? what's so special about this university ( still with a non chalant tone)

Me: Asides the fact that it was the first response I got, le tourneau university I discovered during my research has a well structured curriculum which is practical oriented..

VO: (Interrupts...) obviously you are going to study biology which is more of practicals so that's not enough reason you could get that at any other university, you spoke about well structured curriculum too can you tell me about this curriculum. and give me a concrete reason that makes le tourneau special. (in an angry tone)

Me: I was impressed by what I saw whilst carrying out extensive research after the uni accepted me, students at le tourneau right from entry level are exposed to lots of practical work and research, and they are given the opportunity to work directly with professors as either lab or research assistants. There is this project students in my intended major are involved in called the wheels project where they carry out research on wheel chair function for disabled children in low income settings. I'm definitely interested in stuff like that. in addition, le tourneau has good ratings on usnews.com.

VO: (Types for a while then opens up my passport).. its says here that you were a student in France.. what's is that about?

Me: Yes, I was there for a preparatory course.

VO: So why didn't you just go ahead to pursue your Bsc there?

Me: Yeah that was the initial plan, I wanted to be fully bilingual n study there but during my program I had the opportunity to take classes with the actual med students and found out its one thing to learn a language and another thing to study in that language especially medicine. So yeah now I'm bilingual, I have a C2 level in French and I completed my prep course. Didn't want to waste my time and my parents money chasing shadows, I have to move on.

VO: So it took you two years in France to decide that.

Me: (Shrugged my shoulders..)

VO: (Types for a while..) who is sponsoring you?

Me: My father

VO: what does he do?

Me: Told her..

VO: Do you have his financial statements?

Me: Yes.. (Hands them to her..)

VO: (Looks through..)

Me: That's his personal and company account and sponsorship letter...

VO: (interrupts..),I can see clearly, and if I have any questions I will ask you, Thank you.

Me: Oops, sorry.. (with a smile)

VO: (Types for ages.....)

I thought I was going to be denied at this point was just waiting to hear the words.

VO: (folds my ds160, keeps it on her desk, brings out a yellow slip) I'll like to see more recent financial documents of your father, this yellow slip will let you through the embassy any Tuesday from 1pm. (Hands me back my passport and i20)

Me: Ok. thanks.
It was mixed feelings as I left the embassy, I felt good because I thought I was going to be denied, I felt pissed cos of how the interview went and the ladies attitude, and I felt bad because I really wanted closure on that day.. now I had to wait for a week.

Anyway, I got the updated financial statements and went back yesterday. We were called in at about 20 past 1. Went through the process again. Sat down and was waiting to hear my name. Finally a white guy called me, forgotten which window number it was.

Me: Good afternoon sir.

VO: Good afternoon. (Types for a while..) you were asked to bring your father's financial statements. Can I see them.

Me: Yes (hands them over to him.)

VO: what does your father do?

Me: Told him

VO: (Goes through the statements non chalantly, stops half way and begins typing for a long time...for a very long time) what document is that? Can you move your hand please.

Me: which one?

VO: That one there?

Me: which one? this one?

VO: No underneath

Me: This one?

VO: never mind.. ( continues typing again for a long time.......) Ok everything is in order, you passport should be ready for pick up on Friday at the address on this slip, remember your i20 form, put in your hand luggage you ll need it at the POE, and you need to be in the US before your resumption date.

Me: OK thank you.

Walked out of the embassy feeling like Tony Montana lol.

Advice: Be confident, trust in God, and don't memorize anything, your interview may not go as you planned.

Hello house.

Just had my interview for an F1 visa at the us embassy Abuja. Met the black lady and she gave me tough time. After bombarding my life with questions, one of which I couldn't answer I just shrugged to.. She asked for my sponsor and I said my dad.. She asked for account statements which were good, I passed them to her, she mellowed down at this point.. And she began to type for a long time. I could swear on my life I was going to be denied but then she handed me the yellow script and told me to come back with my dads most recent bank statement.

What are my chances d next time i go? She didn't give me back my Ds 160. Do I need to print another one? Will I meet her again next time? Cos that lady has serious wahala.

Hello house, my F1 visa was approved few hours ago in Abuja, will post my transcript later today. Thanks to God, Slimmy05 for helping with my sevis fee, you are the best man and I wish you Favour and success in whatever you do. Thanks to the active contributors to this thread too. You helped a lot.
