Methinks they should ask Brainless Buhari to resign first |
RedPanthar:Well said. But please note that the owner(s) of this medium are Muslims and are unabashedly unapologetic about it. While I am not holding brief for them, if Christians feel aggrieved, they should explore options like: -Launch a similar forum -Boycott this forum entirely. By the way, if what you said about the alleged ban placed on righteousness89 is true, it only gives you a picture of how "tolerant" Muslims can be. |
Ever heard of the words "Silent treatment"? Just say nothing and do nothing! Heavens have never fallen, and it isn't about to fall in your case. What shameless profligacy! Maybe if you had offered only juice and water at your Dad's burial, no one would have had the guts to think up this party in the first place. Someone actually served only water at his dad's funeral. When asked why, he answered " I cannot loose my dad and my money at the same time". Sounds hilarious but sensible and true. Bottom line, any money your parents didn't enjoy from your hands while they were alive is hogwash and utterly useless to them at their demise. |
The ease and unabashed manner in which this government abdicates it's responsibilities is legendary to say the least. |

See these yeye chickens. You see, when a fool doesn't open his mouth in the company of the wise, he is also deemed wise. Now, we asked there chickens to boycott their remaining matches until Buhari grows some sense, but dem no gree. If to say dem no play, we go conclude say our team na the best regardless of whoever wins the AFCON. But See as dem yeye themselves nah. |
Correct woman! Confirmed woman! Woman wey get foresight! |
What effrontery! She should save those prayers for the judgement God is preparing for her and Jubril, and their likes. The blood they have shared, the hardship they have caused all cry out for vengeance. Nigeria needs no prayers but affirmative action. |
And what will happen to the said minister? Sadly, NOTHING ![]() |
Righteousness89:Nice approach and prayers bro, but what if I told you that prayers will not solve Nigeria's problem or that God is not interested in such prayers for this nation, will you agree? Even if you don't agree, will you be willing to listen to my reasons? First off, I believe that God, the Father of Jesus Christ the Son and God the HolySpirit are one, omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. That said, wouldn't you think that God will be unjust to answer these prayers for Nigeria when other countries without the amount of talents, resources and potentials we possess have advanced their cause and left us behind with little or no recourse to prayers? Rather, in these countries, there's an emphasis on hardwork, accountability, equal opportunity, right and justice, strong institution of state to deal with any infringement without fear or favour, no matter whose ox is gored, near zero tolerance for corruption etc. Examples like Malaysia, Japan, China, Botswana, even Ghana to name just a few. Malaysia came to borrow oil palm seedlings from us and now we can't see their back in terms of oil palm production. Have you stopped to ask yourself why these countries I mentioned and more enjoy steady power supply? Why they don't beg on behalf of their citizens involved in drug trafficking or money laundering or corruption? Why the death sentence is not only passed but also seen to be executed as a deterrence, no matter how highly placed such a fellow is? Honestly I could go on and on but I can't deliver the whole epistle now (guess that will come in a book I have started writing on). Back to the talent parable, one got 5, another got 2 and the third got 1. The first two applied due diligence, and note, I didn't read anywhere the Bible mentioned prayers, rather they did business, traded and got profit. The third abdicated the use of what he was given and perhaps, chose to pray, and we know how it ended for him. The same master, a type of Jesus, rebuked and punished him severely. Don't get me wrong. There's a time to pray, there's a time to act. When the Israelites were in the face of battle on one of their numerous wars, they attempted to pray and God rebuked them, ordering them to quit prayers and advance into the killing field. Moses also attempted long prayers before the red sea. God interrupted him, and asked him to stretch his rod and move forward. When I asked if God wouldn't be considered partial if he listened to our prayers and bailed Nigerians out, do you still find that hard to understand so far? Or how would you feel if after your day and night toil to provide for yourself and your family, you suddenly get home one evening and can't find cooked food to eat? You turn to madam, and she says she is praying to find out what food to prepare, or more ridiculously, she says she's praying that an angel delivers ready made food to your house! I am afraid you may go berserk! Does she need prayers to know what to prepare when there are lots of raw food materials on ground which God has enabled you to provide? Or do you honestly think God is in the business of answering such prayers? Remember, we have been warned by God not to ask amiss. In relation to Nigeria, since God didn't spoon-feed countries like I have mentioned earlier, what makes our country so special as to deserve God's attention. He has provided us with superabundance of talents, resources - man and material, yet we again expect God to show us how to use these resources for our own benefit and transformation! Haba! What stops you and I from getting up from our knees, and same applies to every one else, abandon that job, that business, that venture and occupy the streets till this nation changes? Can't we bring this government to a halt and request an emergency referendum? A referendum that will suspend the present government, install interim leaders of our choice, who will sit and meet for a 90 day duration, within which a new constitution is drafted and our opinions sought till it is perfected and accepted by the overwhelming majority. I could go on and on. Lastly, I really don't know how old you are, but for me, I am 42. I met my grandparents praying for this nation, I also was coerced into prayers for this nation by my parents who believed strongly that prayers will change our situation as a nation, I personally even prayed to a point and when the children started coming, it was my turn to cajole them into praying for this same country. One day, I sat back and ruminated on the prayers of four generations for this country viz-a-viz it's present state and it occurred to me that the prayers have all been needless as things had progressively degenerated with no iota of hope in the horizon. In conclusion, for now as a nation, Prayers - NO Affirmative action - YES |

samendo87:Quite reasonable proposal. Let me add mine so that think tanks can have more options to ponder on. NASS should raise and pass a bill on a drastic change in their remuneration and that of the executive. The salary of a perm.sec is known. Add 100k to that and you arrive at the new take home of a honourable minister. Add 100k to that of a minister and you get that of a revised HOR pay. Add 100k to that of a HOR to arrive at a revised Senator's salary. All allowances, including sitting, are to be yanked off. If accommodation in Abuja is a problem, FG should house them in hotels till blocks of flats/condominium can be built for them. These block of flats/condo are for members of the NASS as they come and go. It is not to be sold to any of them. They evacuate as soon as their tenure expires. If the executives and judiciary and state-level arms of government follow suit, you will be amazed at how much would be realized. I know that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for what I proposed to happen Honestly, we have no business with borrowing as a nation to fix ourselves. |

Dear Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, I am almost certain you also asked for this CHANGE. Just that in your case, it has been served hot and spicy. Tough luck! |
It's an insult to mention the word "palliative" to a Nigerian. We are too blessed to assume a refugee status. Rather than address crass misgovernance and colossal corruption, you are here talking about palliatives in the face of super abundant natural resources. |
Mba ana abalu agụ ( a lion cannot be threatened) Oduduwa guys, please grow some balls. No external organisation will support your cause. If you want to secede, you must be ready to do it by yourselves for yourselves and through whatever means necessary. |

While you see strange bedfellows, they see common interests. Or else how do you explain the sudden unity of all governors or sinators or legislathieves whenever anything threatens their collective means of livelihood. |
When Jesus was casting away demons, some jobless Pharisees attributed such power to have come from the devil, to which he answered - "If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?" So Madam Eunice, I ask you - "can Satan cast away Satan?" Or "can bad governance topple another bad governance?" mtcheeeeeeew! |
J111333:Guy, the "pastor, go and sit down" part doesn't sit well with me. First off, he is not your mate! Second, you are still a Nigerian, and respect for elders, even when they seemingly "misyarn", is deeply entrenched in our culture and DNA. That said, I support your insistence that Nigerians complete their change medication dosage. That way, next time, they will look wella before leaping. Change my foot. Disintegrate sharperly. To your tents o ye components of Nigeria. Though disintegration isn't the ultimate solution, it will be a step in the right direction. Restructuring is just a way of repackaging a damaged product. |
Just as it beggars sense for Buhari to still be the president of Nigeria. |
