litetias: Well said but you use their language, learn their education use their technology, copy their system of government, wear their clothes, follow their religion but are quick to think of yourself as emancipated. I envy your ignorance There is nothing like "their technology, government or clothes"All is an act of economic exchange and every informed person understand that. Also every human development technology wise is as a result of adopting and adapting other cultures, a good history book could enlighten you on that. As I said , choosing to remain mentally enslaved by the whites is a choice, they didn't force you to adopt their god and religion you sheepishly accepted it and even claim to be civilized because the white god loves you. |

Newnas: Islam does not besmirch science. It only prohibits giving preference to myopic human intellect over divine rulings whenever a conflict occurs between the two.
Don't you see that the rules of Islam remained the same for over 15 centuries. some people -out of their blunt thinking - call this stagnancy. they don't know that the reason for development and improvement is deficiency.
This is why science always develop because it's not perfect. Added to that, Islam has mentioned many scientific facts long before people could imagine them. like the stages of creation, like the orbit of the sun, some people till today don't know that the sun moves, like not sleeping on your stomach etc You missed my point, it is immaterial whether Islam mentioned a "scientific fact" eons of years ago, what is more important is the impact that made on people's lives. Consider these two scenarios: 1. A man sees a phenomenon and shouted god be praised and told people god's work cannot be understood. 2. A second man saw the same anomaly and muttered to himself, this is interesting, let me find out how to understand how this works. Which of these two men will contribute more to human development and advancement ? You be the judge. |

1960-2000. We seldom hear of rape cases!! Why? Because children dress properly.. U hardly see their tiles or cleavage.
This days... The way children (14-17) dress, even a male he goat will get attention down below.
The bomb shot or wateva they wear will just expose everything down dia.
The short skirts they were just expose everything down there assuming they mistakenly forget to close their legs.
The sagged tops or short tops they wear just expose all the cleavages and give way for those little mango size pointed nipples to stare @ sons of men.
Mothers please dress your kids properly and kick some western practices to the dustbin.

Don't tell me you approached them yourself, because that is equivalent to sexual harassment and you should be in jail by now. The fact that you saw someone in a club doesn't give you the right to sexually harass them because you don't really know why they are in the club. |

sukkot: its not an in-house policy. it is the law and it is very aggressively enforced here. like i said earlier, many have lost their jobs for doing exactly what this guy did. sukkot: are you for real ? many have gotten fired for less in USA and england. http://www.safeworkers.co.uk/SexualHarassmentWork.html
What Constitutes Sexual Harassment? Sexual harassment constitutes any unwelcome behaviour of a sexual nature. It's not about fun or friendship but about the abuse of power. It is also worth bearing in mind that many people respond to situations in different ways. What may seem like an innocent action or remark to one person may be deemed offensive by another and the law sides with the 'victim' not the 'perpetrator' <<< IN THE LINK I POSTED You misinterpreted the documents you quoted, it was meant to prevent abuse, not victimize anyone who complements the other person. You overlooked two facts 1. The guy is not her superior. 2. He is also not in the army i.e they are not co-workers nor colleague. If we are to agree with you it means complimenting anybody anywhere is a crime that one can get punished for. What kind o world will there be when you are afraid to approach anyone for fear of being accused of harassment ? To the best of my knowledge, apart from authocratic theocracies, no where in the world is complimenting a member of opposite sex a crime without regard to context. |

Politics › Re: My Respect For Robert Mugabe Just Grew In Tripple Fold by neocortex: 7:36am On Feb 03, 2016 |
obailala: Mugabe did not run Zimbabwe aground like the media always makes you believe; the western nations crippled Zimbabwe's economy themselves because Mugabe refused to bow to most of their pressures. For a country which produces and exports farm produce, the economy can be grounded instantly once western powers places an embargo on their exports. Rossikk: He did not run Zimbabwe aground. He saved Zimbabwe from eternal slavery to minority whites. Zimbabweans now own and cultivate their land, unlike the situation before, when a few whites cornered everything for themselves, and the blacks had to rent small, unfertile parcels of land from them to farm. Mugabe put a halt to all that. How many Africans owned land in Europe? he asked. The west imposed harsh economic sanctions on Zimbabwe for what they claimed was Mugabe's breach of the whites' 'human rights'. Zimbabwe suffered greatly from the sanctions but is now recovering slowly, with China an important ally. Most importantly, the people now own the land. Mugabe is an African hero of the first order. Give me one example of a country which become great by being arrogant and isolating itself ? South Africa will have been worse than Zimbabwe today if Mandela had not used wisdom and not heed to the voice of those calling for revenge against the whites. But Mandela cautioned and argued that the minority whites are experts in many field and relegating them to obscurity will not be in the interest of SA and we can all see the result today. Same for china during the Mao days many of their leaders were bitterly anti-western but the post-Mao chinese leaders recognized that it is not in the interest of china to isolate itself, we can all see the result today. It is the same "anti-" mentality that is holding back the blacks in the US, instead of them on playing smart and focusing on how to make progress in the system , many are only interested in showing how tough and proud they are which only reinforces the poverty cycle in various communities. I am sure if the destruction that was meted on Japan during world war 2 happened to an African country, it will still be struggling and seething with hatred and revenge till this day instead of taking advantage of the situation. While I am against becoming a puppet of any country, it is better to take the middle rather than extreme course. Do you think pride is worth centuries of suffering ? Wisdom beats pride any day any where. |

Politics › Re: African Leaders To Withdraw Membership From ICC by neocortex: 6:03pm On Feb 01, 2016 |
I see many ignorant posts on this thread. For the ICC simply "fighting a war" does not constitute war crimes.
ICC doesn't care if Nigeria invades Cameroon or not, it is more interested in a country killing its own citizen indiscriminately and illegally because of their tribe or political affiliations which many African leaders are guilty of.
Technically, Bush can't be prosecuted for war crimes except there are evidence he was killing civilians indiscriminately and he gave his support to such killings. |

Human minds are always geared towards messages of hope no matter how unrealistic or absurd they are, consequently hope is the most expensive commodity on earth, even some are willing to die for it. The god of men knows this and they will continue to sell it to increase their pocket and power. |

Get that into your head. It seems you know very little about north korea, it is a dynasty which has neither opposition nor changes its government. Now tell me how Buhari an opposition will ever get into government in the first place, let alone prosecute those he claim to be corrupt.
