@lillawow,drealgio,ebugirl et al, I feel honoured and satsified for rendering service to humanity. Good people,great nation @bancan, CONGRATS! A touching and inspiring one there. God is always faithful. ![]() @Sucre cruz, My guy.. how levels nah? I've not been hearing from winwin and I dnt knw what'z up wif him. U can say that again,we r coming to join u soon,we gotta celebrate Nairaland day @ SC and we gotta laugh abt d whole stuff in Canada (Insha Allah) Yea my e-mail again: maplelandnewacca (at) yahoo. com ![]() ciao |
@OP, I feel honoured. I'm against the motion. |
@olaremy2k, I feel sad to hear abt ur refusal,but God has reasons for doing it. He wants the best to happen to us. Bro,it aint d end of the world. If u've got a future in Canada,U gotta get the TRV,if there is nothing there for u,God will provide better alternative. If you are re-applying,you stand a chance! Did you submit original certificate and statements of result while applying? I hope you did not submit only notification of result. If you submitted original certificate&statements of result,then the prob. is not from verification of results. Did the results you submitted have good grades that can proof your capability of pursing ur proposed course? especially some courses related to ur proposed course? Its partially part of the prerequisite for visa,though this won't be listed on the requirements list or website. Do you have any gap in your education history? were you able to bridge the gap with documentary evidence of what you have been doing since you left school(if you have any gap in your academic history) On the questionnaire,what was your respond when you were asked of what benefit ur proposed course will be to you,why you what to pursue the course and what u intending after completing the course? These are questions that matters to me as far as being a "BONAFIDE STUDENT" is concerned. It doesn't mean the Visa officer doubt d genuineness of result or if one is a literate or not. cos if there is a case of ingenuity in result,such application will automatically be refused and ban d application for 2years or so . The Visa officer wants to be sure of ur intention. Your academic qualifications and your response to the questions on their form/questionnaires+other dox u submitted are the facts the VOs base their decision on. Check the questions and see if there any of the questions catches u. If it does,then fill the wholes and try again. If you make a mistake,try again in another way! I was refused in 2007 for these reason: 1. Not a bonafide student 2.You have not satisfy me that you will leave Canada at the end of your programme. (Back then,I was sponsored with acct of about #100m+ landed assets above #100m. I have educational gap of 3yrs and I submitted only my notification of results) I applied again in 2011 as self-sponsor,bridged the academic gap with my work experience,submitted my Statement of Result+Certificate, and I also submitted a very strong letter of intent,to declare reasons why I want have Canadian education,why I want to pursue my proposed course,how it will be beneficial to me,my immediate family,my community,my Country and the globe @ large. Yes,I was called for interview exactly 3mths after my application and 13days after the interview,I got my medical invite. Good luck! ciao |

Wow! I like this!!! ![]() @ OP Big ups ![]() @Rossike, 2 thumbs up for you. I am really thinking and working on making something from our varieties of fruits and vegetables to add value to the life of mankind. Let me list few: 1)Wanna make something out of the seeds in watermelon 2)Wanna make disinfectant from Lemon 3)Leave of maize has loads of advantage from my knowledge 6)Can we make a machine for our women and mothers to make pounding their yams easy for preparing Iyan(Pounded yam) 5) Coconut oil and honey alone has loads of advantages for our skin and body 6)Our local ointment "Oori" in Yoruba has great usefulness that has not been tapped. I used it and it worked for me. We can get a lot from it |
Bro, ppl who are interested may not be on the forum,put that into consideration. Look not into ppl dat are interested,rather ppl dat are already in it around where u wanna operate. U can find a location where such service is not rendered and start from ground. I wish u success bro. Meanwhile,I would like to knw the lastest update u have and ur level of development so far. Just to share experience,no hard feelings. thx |
in 2008 my Company was an infant and growing fast. I was making good income but I got carried away with the income that I was unable to separate my profit from running capital. Then things got messed up. I learned my lesson and move on. Dont mix Biz with pleasure. Don't put all your eggs in one basket!!! I bounced back though,but I went through hell during the time. It's nice starting ur business anywayzzz ![]() |
@solomon okeigar, Congrats dude others, ur on d way |
Maa-sha Allah! This is happening here Allah does as he pleases currently outta Lagos . All the same,I like this. Ramadan Kareem to all Muslim Brothers& Sisters. |
I also like the business. It's interesting and fun. You will need basic cooking/catering skill to do this. It also depend on the barbecue u wanna specialize on. In my case,I prefer seafood. But whichever way u chose,you need basic skill and some equipments. After getting skills about how to make delicious meal from chicken,beef or seafood,then u need to find good location.A good location like park,shopping mall environ,stadium or commercial areas. You will definitely need to complement the barbecue biz with drinks. Yes,packaging is the only touch that makes u stand out from all others that offer such service. Brand d business with funny and spicy name and put a touch of cleanliness to ur dressing while preparing and serving ur customers. This are the little I've gathered so far,as I am waiting 4 more members here that have been into such biz or have loads of experience in d line. I wish success. ciao |
@fflowers, congrats! @donnet, congrats as well. Do u medical and wait 4 ur visa. ciao |

Sharexgold: I'm into salon biz, & i think i can give a helpin hands on that.Yea,thx bro. I would like you to give me an insight of major things that will make the biz keep running successful with good profit and major things that may kill such biz. I want to start the biz in Abeokuta or Ibadan. do you have any advice or tip for me? |
Sun of god: A new Igbo group, the Conference of Igbo Youth Organizations, CIYO, has warned that Ndigbo will no longer watch in silence while their brothers and sisters are slaughtered like animals in the northern states in Nigeria.Do we always need the support of the western world before we take action as Africans? An African must act like a ZULU. "Until Lions have their own historians,history will always glorify the hunter. We are the Lions,we have to tell our own stories and stop the hunter from misinforming the masses... that's how I see it" Raz Adoti |

I am thinking of starting another business where I will generate daily income. I discover some communities in my town,where there are no good barbing salons,and I want to seize the opportunity to bring good service to them. I need advise from experienced members,especially those that have worked or work in the relevant field. Thanx in anticipation. |
