You are on a right thread brother. There are loads of experience members in the house,and I am sure you will get response,advice and comments that will be useful to you at the end.
Please I will want you to clarify the reason why u were refused initially. It goes a long way in helping members here to give suggestions and advice. I would like to know if you are still studying. If you are still studying in Italy,did you get letters from your schl that u r still a student and that you will be going back to Italy? Have you paid the school fee of proceeding session/semester to d school and do you have receipt proving these? do you have substantial amount in your Bank account in Italy? can you also get a reference letter from the Bank? Do you have any property in Italy or Nigeria,with proof of ownership to your name? are you married in Italy or Nigeria? Do you have child/ren in Italy or Nigeria? If you could answer this questions,I think it will go a long way in finding solution to your canada visa issue.
Meanwhile,I have being looking forward to meeting Nigerian studying in Italy for a very long time,I am excited meeting one on Nairaland. Please brother,my fiancee here in Nigeria wants to study Fashion in Italy,she applied last year and she was refused on the reasons that documents submitted is insufficient to justify the purpose of her trip to Italy.
She applied with the schools Certificate of enrollment+other admission package,sponsor's bank statement+letter from sponsor,Flight schedule,health insurance. These are the dox mentioned to her when she went to enquire at Italian consulate in Lagos;to my surprise,she was refused after submitting all these dox. But where I see the problem is that she applied 1month b4 the school resumes and visa application stays will them even after resumption,on the other hand,she did not include her O/level result since it wasnt mentioned to her at Italian consulate in Lagos. Though she was not allowed in,the security Man at the gate was the intermediary and he dictated the list to her offhand,I guess that's where things went wrong. Though she has applied again this till with her O/level result.
Brova,I just wanna know how you get your visa to study in Italy and the dox. used. that a million.

If you could renew the passport without hassle,then please do. so that u cld get visa for the duration of ur visa and extra months for work experience. Though I have similar case. In my case,my passport expires by 2013 ending and I will be completing my treatment by June,2013,and I will be getting visa around June/July 2013, for a year prog(Insha Allah). So,I am also thinking of renewing my passport next year before the completion of my treatment.
In a nutshell,I suggest you renew your passport,but we can still wait for comment of experienced members like Fhemmy et all.

Bro I sincerely need ur advice on this I was contacted on 20th of april by a representative in CDHC that I should forward my letter for a newdate since the old date has passed and I told her that I have contacted the school but they(stouffville) requested I get a letter from them(CDHC) so the lady said she was going to mail it to me riteaway but since then I have not heard from them(CDHC) but I sent a mail to CDHC yesterday being 23/04/2012 but I am yet to see thier reply. Please what your opinion/advice on this or what do you think I should do?

Pls. be calm bro. CDHC will respond to you. Then forward the respond of CDHC to Stouffville college,then stouffville college will issue you a new letter. Also,after the response of CDHC you may ask if the softcop of the new start date will do before the arrival of the hardcopy. U can just print out d softcopy and take it to CDHC. It works in my case. That is what I did in my case. Though CDHC did not asked me for new start date. I asked if I may request new start date,and I was given go-ahead to do so,and this response was forwarded to Stouffville. That is it. good luck bro

If I were you,I think I'll apply for study visa,since Education has not age restriction or limitation. U can go on and on to pursue any academic prog. as long as u have the fund and required academic background. You just have to make ur intentions clear to the V.O and prove beyond reasonable doubt that you truly intend to study in CA and that u have reasons to leave canada to ur home country or residence country after ur prog. in Canada. Pls. dnt be misled by your so called agent. There is no offense if your sponsor has never sponsored anyone else to study abroad before. But you have to prove how you are related to ur sponsor,and if he's gonna be ur employer,I think u already knw the dox. u needed for this.

it really depends on the institution. Like some colleges,they can make decision on ur case within 2weeks and u get ur acceptance letter via courier providing all other dox 4 ur visa application is intact,u can apply 3mths b4 ur resumption date. In ur case if u get acceptance this mth or next month u r good to go. Some Universities take abt a month 2 make decisions while some are slow in responding to int'l student cases. Meanwhile,u can take ur time to plan well and apply 4 Jan.2013 intake if the time u have is so limited. Your main priority and objective is to get study visa. Good luck bro.

u shld have told the schl to send ur letter via courier mail rather than regular mail. I think what u shld do is to explain to the schl if it's possible 4 'em to send u new letter via courier or if they may call back the first one that had been sent and resend it via courier. Explain to them to charge u from the payment of ur application fee or if u've made any intial payment. I am sure they will reckon to you,if u explain ur issue. I am afraid,CDHC will not accept print out,especially when it's ur acceptance letter. It may lead to delay or even denial(God forbid) . May God help u.
