There’s nothing like the bolded.

Go home now or ASAP, get married (assuming you don decide se this is the one 😉 ) and return. She can then apply to be your dependant on your current T-4

Would strongly suggest attaching additional evidence in her application as well, even though it’s not strictly neccessary. Several of you over time and from your wedding ceremony, for example, would be helpful to show that your relationship is genuine. Shouldn’t matter because the law and (public) Home Office guidance hasn’t changed but better to err on the side of caution.
Thanks. Was gonna give it 6 months to be absolutely sure. Just want to be sure that it's not too late then too

Good day guys...

Abeg make Una epp me answer this one because na love matter grin grin. I'm hoping someone has had a similar experience.

I'm on a Tier-4 visa and my course ends some time in August/September 2024 (I need to confirm this)

Thing is, I need to know what my chances are of bringing my partner(not married) over for

1) a visit
Or
2) join me permanent.

2 is based on when/if we get married.

For the visit, what do I need please? What steps do I need to take and how long do I have to apply?

Also, if we go down the marriage route, how long do I have to bring my partner in as I've heard things like before 3 months to the end of your course or something.

Abeg make una guide me. Thanks

There’s really no way around it. You could try inputting your Nigerian address but it probably won’t accept it. There’s no harm in trying though.
Tried. It doesn't go beyond the postcode. It still insists on a postcode in UK

Solumtoya:
I think this is very straightforward. Of course, where you can, always check eligibility first.

If it doesn't permit you to put your overseas address and insists you put 2 years residency, then it means that the eligibility criteria is "minimum 2 years in the UK". If you insist on getting a credit card, try others, there are so many of them. My Bank still tells me I'm ineligible for Credit card, last I checked but I have 2 Credit Cards from other providers.

As for your score being 968, that's very very high! With a score that high, you don't have to chase after credit cards.
Thanks. I wanted to get a CC cos I would be moving out of the place I stay currently to a bills inclusive house and the things that helped me get that high score won't be available anymore. So I need to the CC to stay in that range or keep going up without dropping.

I tried the popular British Amex card everyone is advertising here but I couldn't even check eligibility cos it's not accepting any postcode outside of UK

BuildingProject:
You need to check eligibility first.
Are you using a Barclays account already?
If so, I think you won't see where to input other addresses until you try to apply. Their limit are also small, I was lucky to get £1200 from them Sha after tweaking things.
Lastly, there was no Hard print left on my record Sha.
Please how did you go about the 2 years address thing because even to check eligibility, it's not accepting postcodes outside of UK. Am I missing something?

BuildingProject:
I won't advise the platinum.
Why not start with the Barclayscard first, considering the amount of time spent in the UK.
Just my opinion though.
It's actually the 0% in first 22 months I was going for but I'm open to trying other cards if there are better recommendations please

Lexusgs430:
If you are economical with the truth about your length of time........ A credit facility provider, can slam a CIFAS on you........

I wouldn't know how to deal with the 9ja address situation........
Thanks Lexusgs430. Please suggest a CC with better rewards please

Hi guys

Me again o.

Please I'm trying to apply for a CC but the application form doesn't have a space to input overseas address. Barclays card to be precise.

Any way around this please?

Also, is it advisable to
1) check eligibility first? My CS is 968
2) just put that I've lived in my current address for 2 years as against 9 months huh
Guys please any help?

Which Barclaycard are you applying for? Is it the free Avios one? I would check if you are pre-approved first before applying.

BIB Barclays run a hard check for credit card applications. They would easily see you have no credit record prior to 9 months.
No platinum. Any idea on how to go about the address history

Please after registrating for a provisional license, what's next?

I've read here about an App you pay for to start studying for the theory test but don't know what it's called again.

Advice needed please 🙏🏽

Please, with the IHS refund, does it matter when if there was a gap before I started working in healthcare?

For example, I came in on student visa in September. Started working in dorm care in October/November. Then NHS in January/February.

All together, it's been more than 6 months.

Please can anyone advise?
