FamilyRe: This Stupid Mentality In Ceremonies. by Newborn27(f): 2:37am On Nov 21, 2023
Majority have said it all....it is showoff that causes such actand inferiority complex.

Many of them spending like that are usually doing so to gain publicity and likeness.

Genuinely wealthy persons don't handle cash in such manners...*Omo ojuorolari loman so Omo re ni Olaniyonu*

Then the aspect of church being a major influence on this such act proves the words of God in Revelations.....many Christians are just church goers today and their pastors sees pastorial ministry as a Poverty alleviation scheme... they'd even sideline you once they know your worth financially and start ass-licking the rich ones irrespective of their illegitimate source of income.

I only go to church to worship God not show off...and I'm good at ignoring people that loves showing off...u buy a new car...phone or wears and started feeling fly... I'd just look away as if I never noticed the changes In you.

pansophist:
No, it doesn't take humility to beg. It takes shamelessness, greed, and the intent to swindle to beg. Most begging is not genuine, and you may notice that the person you've been giving money to ten years ago may still be beginning you ten years later.

I still have people who begged me for money twenty years ago, still begins today. I just stopped responding to one two months ago. Is that humility or shamelessness?
Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Maybe their personality differs sha and they're shameless.

I feel dejected anytime I'm left with the option of begging for anything.... because I would have tried all my possible best to work hard for that which I beg for.....it is just pathetic how my little efforts is not enough sometimes.

An adage says "bi a ko ba reni feyinti.....bi ole laaari"

To me personally.... it's shameful begging cos I priotize my ego and detest see finish.

I pray God in his infinite mercy....provide for all our needs according to his riches in glory.

Thank you, I'll take the advice. The truth is that the guy is greedy, he doesn't know what we pass through here.

It's damn cold here, cos Connecticut is a damn cold state, we are at 6 degrees, we fit enter 2 degrees tomorrow... You can imagine how cold it is.

I will work under the cold, and one nigga will detect to me how much to give to him. It's crazy.

Anyway, I will continue to help folks with the least I can while prioritizing my family.
It is all shades of wrong to dictate the amount of money you'd send him....if money is that easy to make he should get a visa and try going or stop procreation.

I received several mentions on my previous comments on 1st page which I can't reply all.

The people turning begging to a profession are the ones who made it difficult for genuinely needy persons to receive help.

Just do your best and ignore the greedy and self centered ones.

The truth is that it's not easy here too... I've tried d the blackout style, but folks still find me come Facebook, dey fill my inbox with all sorts of financial requests.

I do help when it's convenient for me. The one wey vex me pass na last week when my old time school mate chatted me and told me that his wife just gave birth, that he needs any financial assistance I could render him. The thing touch me she, I gave baba 60$ to manage, that about 67k in naira...

Instead of this guy appreciating me, he told me that the money is too small, that is it not dollar that I'm earning, that if I give him 400$ that it won't remove anything from me. That talk alone angered me and I blacked him out. Baba dey do exchange rate for me.

It's not easy anywhere, that the fact. We also get numerous bills to pay... Car insurance, electricity bills, gas and water bills, house rent... The truth is that most of them asking for money cannot even work the number of hours we work here just to make earns meet.

It's 2.09am here, and I've just finished clocking my hours, getting ready to go to my house.
This is pure wickedness and gluttony....such friend deserve whatever I'll treatment you gave.

No matter how little a person gives the needy is expected to be highly appreciated and commended because you never worked for him and wouldn't kill him should he say no.

Just do what is best in your capability but don't completely shut people out cos tomorrow is usually a misery.
TravelRe: 6 Proven Ways To Avoid ‘Billing’ When Abroad by Newborn27(f): 5:47am On Nov 19, 2023
When your lots become wealthy you look down on others as if you own tomorrow.

It takes total humility to beg for anything... should everyone has...no one would ever ask others for help cos it's shameful thing to be begging and we all have ego in us.

The best thing is to do your best and leave the rest.

It you eventually close your eyes till eternity today...all that you try hard to conceal and not share would belong to others that never laboured for it.

What a pathetic way of living one's life?

After the few little years of fame.. enjoyment and lavish living...now you're pleading for assistance on a failed kidney.

I'm not preaching neither am I a saint...but I hope this your story enlightens many youths out there on contentment.

All the money must be made crew...all the get money or die trying crew....be cautious of your doings as this life we're isn't ours...what do you want to be remembered for when you're gone?

Please change your ways.

FamilyRe: If I Die Today, My Kids Will Only Inherit 2,350 Naira by Newborn27(f): 6:28am On Nov 17, 2023
Obavoh:
This morning, after buying airtime from my bank, I shook my head and laughed after I saw my account balance ₦2,350

If I die today is this what my 5 children will inherit?

The truth is I don’t care about leaving behind worldly possessions for them to inherit. I have given them

•the gift 🎁 of life
•raised them up with love
•teach them morals
•basic education

Which to me is more than enough.
I will stay and perform my role as a father till I take my last breath as a man.

My uncle in Netherlands wanted me to leave my family in Nigeria come and stay with him to work over there as a taxi 🚖 man but I refused!

I can’t leave my wife alone to take care of 5 children even if you offer me $1billion monthly. God forbid!

My wife is 22 years old and the wicked men in my village could easily manipulate her to have access to what is between her legs.

I rather stay with my family, money or no money, at least we have love and peace.

I am happy with my ₦2,350 account balance
I don't know why I'm laughing out loud reading this your post?

LoL

Are you sure you're staying behind because of those excuse you made or for sexual intercourse sake?

A responsible father would do anything to give his family a better living...22yrs old with 5kids is not something to be boastful of as the journey ahead seems so far.

Take your uncle's offer....work and earn money to secure those 5innocent kids future and forget about your insecurity.

If she's promiscuous in nature...she'd get shagged on your matrimonial bed right there in your arewa village....... monitoring her wouldn't stop that.

I am tired of my marriage my husband has no consideration for me or our children he cheat like there's no tommorow he insults me like I am a piece of dirt . I am tired of treating infection all the time I am scared he may infect me with hiv soon. I am just tired of the marriage I want to leave I have a business but I am scared because I don't know how will I cope with 8 children all alone my business will not be sufficient for me to take care of 8 children alone. My health is at risk now because of my bp is high and the doctor advised me to stop stressing myself to avoid having a stroke. But I cant even rest because of my husband habit and both families are aware of the situation in our house but my husband isn't ready to listen to anyone.
please how do I go through this ? I need your candid advice.
You've done a great job at 18yrs...by now I don't expect his philandering nature to be a problem any longer to you...my advice is for you to step up in your being protective in sexual intercourse with him and detoxify yourself regular.

By now... your kids are teenage and wouldn't be an interesting new life...... don't quit your marriage ma'am.

He'd definitely outgrown the act or nature retires him......

Marriage is worth working on for the kid's sake..... Please stay and work on it ma.

I'm not an Igbo person...but I detest the generalization on this thread Sir.

*Ko si ibi ti a o tin ko adiye ale*

It happens in all tribe... personality makes it different.

What do you say about men that abandon their kids and shy away from responsibilities only for the kids to grow up and they'd appear claiming rights?

Marriage is not a bed of roses and can only work when two agreed to be one.

If only a part is working for it's survival and the other feels selfish and unconcerned. ... then the high rate of divorce is certain....Amos 3:3

Recent happenings had made me to realize that the Nigeria we are in today is a jungle....only the strong survives.

I wonder why there won't be high rate of crime.. prostitution and illegallity with the rate things are.

My only advice to people like myself earning 30k+ monthly is to diversify our income or shun salary earning jobs and start a business...no matter how little it is.... because....I see no hope in this present administration in the next 8yrs.

Na capital dey hold me down like this....I 4 don drop resignation letter tay tay.

RomanceRe: What Will You Do With $1 Billion? by Newborn27(f): 2:10pm On Nov 12, 2023
One billion dollars is too huge to spend alone as someone whom had seen shege in life.

I'd firstly do giveaway to genuine needy families especially private school teachers... like one million naira each to 100 families

I'd set up businesses for my siblings and parents

I'd relocate my kids and I out of Nigeria to live and study abroad..

No matter how much the amount of money or wealth one accumulates....it is rubbish if your family and genuinely needy person's around you can't be a beneficiary.

Charcoal or firewood is your best option
I have no space for charcoal or firewood in my apartment.

I live upstairs...each apartment with their space... going downstairs to arrange such is intruding on other flatmates space.

I seldom make use of electrical cooker too but trust our PHCN people to always disappoint.

Soaking looks great and faster but just worried on the side effects.
