Despite the risks in this act people kept doing at at the slightest opportunity.....I kept saying it is poverty and greed that caused all this. Being poor is the worst thing that can happen to someone after an incurable illness. "Ona ofun ni ona orun" |
Jeon:Due to my working routine...I barely have time for leisure...I just finished watching the episode 24 of the royal gambler I downloaded. I'm grateful for the referral... I've learnt more on that Kdrama. I'd surely watch the others no matter how long it seems. |
Listening to this young lady's speech pierces my heart. She's so used to all the sexcapades that she never felt ashamed narrating the shameful ordeal. The havoc wrong use of internet had wrecked on our society is beyond control....no moral decadence again. I weep for what our society is growing into. SMH |
UselessBuharist:It's been a while big bro! Hope you're good sha? |

Humanity,Peace of mind and sound health supercede money. |
Jeon:Thanks so much for your swift response Sis I'd start trying them one after the other. I wouldn't mind if there are more. |
Good evening family! I'm actually studying a course relating to guidance and counselling in one of the federal universities.... being a Korean movies lover... I'm thinking about going into watching more of their movies that centered on counseling...just like I've watched that of crime... medicine and law in the past. I don't know if anybody has referrals on the ones I can download to help strengthen my knowledge about my field of study. It might also be an American movie too .....I need your suggestions Sirs/Mas. Thanks Cc; Mindlog and others |
Benekkk:The annoying part of iphone is... before December... they'd update like 3more versions and the newest one would become stale.....I wonder why people got freaked out over such possessions? maybe it's because I haven't gotten to that stage of spending lavishly in life. |
There is no end to all this updated version....the rich keeps getting richer while the poor getting poorer. Many would do all sort of illicit things to acquire this beyond their means. Contentment and godliness is a great gain. |
MSN1:May God heal our land. |
MSN1:The increment only affected the government workers....how about we..private workers? We work like elephant and got meager salary. We can't truly blame the masses for increasing the cost of their products...no matter what they're selling...they'd also buy fuel..pay school fees and other bills like any other Nigerians. Depression is on the rise ...hungerbis in town and people do all sort of illicit things to make ends meet. A cup of rice is now #200-#250 This was the amount I was buying a congo of rice during GEJ regime and people were abusing him then I learnt dollar is now 900+....which was around 250-300 in GEJ regime The subsidy he planned removing in 2011 then resulted to massive protest in Lagos then that brought out prominent celebrities then.....today we're buy #800 per litre and everyone is cool about it. If things can be this rotten within 8yrs...I wonder how our tomorrow would look like. Many Nigerians are suffering in diaspora... some went to prison..some engaged in all manner of job and illegal acts to stay away from this country... some had even done change of citizenship and refused to be identified as a Nigerian. The question is...for how long are we going to live like this? I weep for my dear country! ![]() |
APC had brought us nothing but pain. It's we salary earners I pity most in this present administration. Salary doesn't increase but prices of commodities kept sky-rocketting. Lord , please heal our land! |
DenreleDave:So you never decode my *owe* in the first mention? Your monicker made me believe you'd understand. His was all female following too ![]() |
Anitatunde:Bravo! I doff my hat ma'am!! True definition of "when we fall...we rise again" |
DenreleDave:Lol Did you actually check his profile too? His comment prompted me to check him up and my instincts were definitely correct! ![]() |
Hmmmmmm Nice thread! How were you able to pay back your loans back here in Nigeria? What happened to your business over there after deportation? What was your family's reaction on your deportation? Should you have another opportunity to "japa" again... would you oblige? Congratulations on your freedom.... it's worth it. |
jaksmillioniar:WOW!.. Here is where the Yoruba adage plays out. "Omo elefo gbe efo e wa....ah! Efo mi dara kiise ti aatan "DenreleDave....am I correct? |
Bravo! I'm impressed with your write-up. Are you a linguist? |
History would never forget him. His name is written on a solid golden rock. RIP patriot! |
DaddyCoool:Smile! What exactly are you expecting me to type Sir? |
DaddyCoool:Being logical here means to help or watch him in taking his own life....but I said I'd live with the guilt of being aware of how he died...I might suffer greater depression for letting him go. I don't pray for such pain that would require suicidal thoughts to anyone close to me cos I can't handle the trauma...I guess I'm too timid . |
spencekat:He killed himself with gunshot and his one day old wife drank cyanide.....due to the fear of the aftermath of the ongoing war. This happened many years ago...how many wealthy person has been recorded commiting suicide? It's rare. |
spencekat:What could make a wealthy person commit suicide if not for the afformentioned or village people? |
Season of expensive books.... school fees...new everything (bag ... shoes...underwear s)..... school fees and Xmas eyeing one at the far corner. May God bless all responsible parents IJN. E no easy. |
spencekat:It happens truly...but not all. Majority of the wealthy people commiting suicide are either young... naive or greedy. Real wealth would taunt you to live more and enjoy the wealth. Should there's a medication that extends lifespan and younger growth...many people... especially our politicians would go extra miles to get it for themselves and loved ones. Life is beautiful and sweet but sweeter when money is involved... though I haven't experienced it sha. #smiles |
DaddyCoool:Number one reason is..... it's not biblical Secondly... I'd live with the guilt of advising him/her to commit suicide when I eventually see people healing from same pain he suffered from in the future......cos... nothing is new under the sun...some people would have gone through same thing he's passing through and others would still go through it. Thirdly.... I'm a fighter...I don't like quitting...I believe the doctors should know what is best for such person than I do. |
DaddyCoool:Hmmmmmmm Humans are social being... there's no way he/she wouldn't have someone who would truly care. Despite the hardship and hurdles in the country...we still have people with big heart. Suicide will never be my advice to anyone. |
DaddyCoool:I don't know how to attach pics on Nairaland...I typed is euthanasia legal? And read. Worldwide, euthanasia is legal in seven countries: Belgium, Luxembourg, Canada, New Zealand, Spain, the Netherlands and Colombia. |
DaddyCoool:Physical and unbearable pain... like disease or cancer? I don't still agree to suicide.... physical pain is more endurable than pain from within. If such victim has a loving family who truly cares and loved..... they'd help make the pain bearable through genuine love and care coupled with pain relief medications until he dies a natural death. |
DaddyCoool:I'm not making up stuff...I rea up whatever I don't know about.... euthanasia is allowed and legal based on the country terms and conditions. You can enlighten me more on what I don't know....we learn daily. |
DaddyCoool:Euthanasia is carried out by a professional after several failed attempts to heal or cure the illness But suicide is done personally and are usually in a cruel manner. The victim wouldn't know the excruciating pain he'd leave his family and loved ones... especially his/her mother. . Suicide is tragic and happened unknown to the family members of the victim While euthanasia is carried out after several consultations and consent of the victim's family members. So...I doubt they're same words although synonyms to one another. |
