malvisguy212:Are you telling me that it's justified to cause public nuisance in the name of preaching. If yes then please go to the bank or enter the cantonment and try it. @underlined: yes he didn't force me to hear, like the driver runs into potholes and says he didn't force me to swing. Your point seems to be very weightless and uncivilized to me personally. I don't know what others think. Anyway, thanks for your contribution. |
Muafrika2:That's an even uglier picture. Actually, most of the time, the preaching is useless and worse is the inconvenience. I just wonder why anyone would think he has the right to cause inconvenience to others ![]() You didn't pay their fare for God's sake and it's not a free ride!!! Even if it's just a single passenger that dislikes a music being played or the preaching, I think he should be honoured and given his right. Anyone who wants to listen to music should by PALITO/mp3 etc and plug earpiece. |
Friday Islamic and Moral Diet Series (FIMDS) 4 Some people just mispronounce Muslim names and many of us don't see it as a problem. Barring my knowledge of Historical Linguistics, how did Siraaj turn to Suraju, Zulaykhah to Suliya, Khadeejah to Adija, Is'haq to Siaka, Ibraheem to Brahimo or Buremo, 'Aasiyah to Siata, Dhikrullah to Sikiru, Sa'eed to Saidi, Moryam to Mori, Shaakirah to Saki, Ridwan to Riliwan, Misbah to Musibau, Zulfah to Silifa, Sofiyyah to Sefiya, 'Abdulmojeed to Mojidi, and Najmuddeen to Naajimu, Fadheelah to Fali, Faatihah to Fetia and so on? I know some prominent OPC members called Kasimu Sànpòn-ná, Wasiu Akerese, Taofiki Agbónonlé and Taoridi Sangoté. What happened to Qoosim, 'AbdulWas'i, Tawfiq and Tawheed? Is it because they were not even Muslims? There are Yoruba films titled Muniru ati Ambali, Jelili Oniso, Monsuru, Monsuratu, Mufu Olóòsà Oko, Aminatu, Sikiratu Sindodo, Aafa Sule et cetera. How did these names change from Muneer and Hambal, Abduljeleel, Miftah, Aameenah and Sulaymon? Are the producers ignoramuses or they have an axe to grind? Are we suffering from inferiority complex? Only a joker answers to a corrupted Muslim name. Your freedom begins from what you accept as your name or your child's name. 'When the child is born, one of the first ways in which he is to be honoured is by giving him a good name, because a good name will have a good impact on the heart when it is first heard.' --Almowardi |
enieme:Sorry Sis, but this is just too faulty an opinion. There's difference between early marriage and unplanned marriage. Our provisions come from Allah, upon him we rely. Do you know that marriage can become obligatory upon a person i.e if he/she doesn't marry he would be committing a sin. And the person must marry even if he has no job. Allah has promised to assist those who get married in other to protect their private parts from illegalities. And marry those among you who are single (i.e. a man who has no wife and the woman who has no husband) and (also marry) the Salihun (pious, fit and capable ones) of your (male) slaves and maid-servants (female slaves). If they be poor, Allah will enrich them out of His Bounty. And Allah is All-Sufficent for His creatures' needs, All-Knowing (about the state of the people). (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran Allah knows best |

Open these links for the videos Pastor thrown out of bus in UK 9ja man causes nuisance with preaching on UK bus |
And there's even a video clip of one pastor preaching in a public bus abroad ![]() |
utenwuson:I also try to go with my headset, but sometimes you forget to take it along. And sometimes, the volume of the preaching is just too loud |
christopher123:You know there's something Yoruba call: eja inu konga (fish that lives in the well). I think you are one. You are far from reality dude. Probably you still use diskette to load OS start from here to enlighten yourself Igbo Muslims on facebook |
christopher123:Too much Akpu has blocked your jugular veins, your brain is malnourished ![]() |
Masterclass32:like I said, keep repeating it loud louder loudest... You need it for a quasi-assurance ![]() |
Luckylife:Does it have to be congregational before it will be accepted? And must it be accompanied with preaching? It's a lot of inconvenience, I think people should rethink. |
delishpot:Thanks for the correction |
laidima88:The fact that the Quran mentions him suffices to prove to us that he existed even if we don't find any evidence for his existence through our research. That's what is called true eeman as Allah says describing the believers: Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 3: الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ Who believe in the Unseen, and establish worship, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them; (English - Pickthal) via iQuran And the statement of Allah is Everly true: Surah Al-Anaam, Verse 115: وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقًا وَعَدْلًا لَّا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ Perfected is the Word of thy Lord in truth and justice. There is naught that can change His words. He is the Hearer, the Knower. (English - Pickthal) via iQuran And perfect knowledge lies with Allah alone. |
AlBaqir:Oga, those are books of the people of sunnah you are quoting. These double standards are the primary characteristics of misguided innovators. But when these books expose your shia evils you and your shia people will say they are unreliable because they were compiled by ordinary mortals. Olodo people, it's the angels that compiled the Quran abi?! I ask Allah to make you repent before Death catches up with you. |
And the pastors don't even preach anything than money but they do that under the guise of calling to 'success'. Even the dumbest person knows that success to the Christian is wealth, their speech and deeds show it. Anyone who ponders on the preaching of these pastors will see that it's all about wealth and fame. The great men of God in the scriptures are in no way similar to these dudes who call themselves pastors. Now see, Oga Ade Erastus, Which charity project does he do, even the Pagan Bill Gates does more charity. in fact something must be wrong with my head for comparing a diligent businessman to a greedy, selfish and stingy 'man of God'. Lalasticalala |
lalasticalala please let's get some opinions and discussion |
I'm sure it would have happened to many of us, even Christians too. You enter a public vehicle, pay your fare and hoping to relax by taking a short nap, reading a book or just keeping a blank mind. Only for a person to start preaching, this preaching could continue for thirty minutes or one hour or more. So, my questions are these: # These people, don't they realize that they are disturbing other passengers? # Don't they realize that they paid equal fare with those they are disturbing? #Don't they realize that this inconvenience can even make people hate their religion the more? # Don't they know that Nigeria is heterogeneous in its religious beliefs? # Have they forgotten that ear pollution or Noise is defined as an unwanted or harmful noise? Personally, I tell them to stop the disturbance or hurry up with the whole process of 'introduction' but they are usually adamant, and this makes me feel these people are really far from civilized. The interesting part is most of them end up with: "now you need a Bible believing church and I recommend so and so church"... advertising his/her church. And some people are also very similar to this, they switch on their music and raise the volume disturbing the other passengers. I think these acts are not Humane and Civilized. Please I need people's sincere comments, no insults please. |
christopher123:Olodo, I can recollect at least two Igbo Muslims, practicing Muslims with beards and cut trousers. Guess what again, a Yoruba brother from my school served in Igboland, his wife gave birth there, the Igbos also gave her a name Ngozi, we now call the brother Abu Ngozi. He's happily married and works with MTN now. So, serve yourself!!! |
Masterclass32:Yeah, keep repeating it loud louder loudest... you need that dose of delusion ![]() |
malvisguy212:Same thing has been explained to you over and over. Must you display your ignorance and super duper slow assimilation ![]() |
tripplephi:Now ponder on your post again. You will see that it only buttresses the OP |
carinmom:Aameen. There's no prayer I love than that |
بسم الله و الحمد لله و الصلاة والسلام على رسول الله This morning, I was feeling very sick and weak, I couldn't recite Quran or pick a book. As I lay helplessly in bed, I thought of a way to squeeze out some benefits from my time. Allah guided me to think of watching some of the video clips I have of Sheikh Mashoor Hasan al-Salman and Sheikh Solih Fawzaan (may Allah preserve them both). I benefitted a lot from this and decided to share some of the benefits here. # The common act of dumping old parents in 'facilities for the aged' is completely anti Islam. How would you feel if your children dumped you in a 'facility' in your old age? Imagine your anger and resentment towards that child. Why do you do to others what you dislike to be done for you? -Sheikh Fawzaan # Q: what age should the children be taught solah A: The usual age of tamyeez (grasping/intelligence/understanding) among children is seven but among exceptionally brilliant children is five. Muhammad bn Labeeb said "I comprehended a splash of water that the Messenger of Allah alyhissolaat wassalaam spat on my face, and I was five then" (Bukharee) - Sheikh Mashoor # The wise one is the one who takes heed from the mistake of others. The one who is sane will at least take heed from his own mistake -Sheikh Mashoor. So the one who neither takes heed from his mistake or the mistake of others can be said to be deprived of intellect. # one who combines Solah without a valid reason in the Sharia such as rain, fear, travel etc then his Solah is invalid. -Sheikh Fawzaan # The one who is able to make sujood but is not able to stand for Solah shouldn't pray on the chair because that way he wouldn't be able to make sujood which is a pillar of Solah therefore making his Solah void rather he should pray on the floor. -Sheikh Mashoor # Being patient on the injustice of the leaders is less evil than rebelling against them because of the hadith of Anas in Bukharee that some people complained about Hajjaaj bn Yusuf (a tyrant ruler) to Anas and he commanded them to be patient. -Sheikh Solih Fawzaan # Make dawah to your brothers who are dressing inappropriately and leaving solah. Don't put yourself in the fitnah of calling women. The greatest fitnah (trial) of men is women and the greatest fitnah of women is men. Blocking evil is given preference over drawing good -Sheikh Mashoor # If you wish to propose to a woman, ask for her beauty first not uprightness because if you ask for her uprightness first and you are satisfied but you later reject her for her beauty you would have fallen into sin. But if you ask for beauty first then you won't commit the sin of dumping a righteous woman because of her beauty. Same thing applies to the women -Sheikh Mashoor # The one who doesn't have a good relationship with his family is not worth your companionship. The messenger of Allah alyhissolaat wassalaam said the best of you are the best of you to his family (or spouse). -Sheikh Mashoor # The Messenger of Allah alyhissolaat wassalaam loved Aishah for her intelligence. She had a deep knowledge of lineage which no one else had, and she learnt it from her father. -Sheikh Mashoor # The salaf used to detest unrealistic questions. Questions intended to cause distress and to confuse the answerer. -Sheikh Mashoor # You don't need to dedicate any act of worship to your dead parents. They will be rewarded for any righteous deed you do already. -Sheikh Mashoor #Dealings of trading are usually based on covetousness but dealings of marriage are usually based on pardoning/condonment. -Sheikh Mashoor. These are just a bit of the benefits I derived. I ask Allah to make it beneficial to the writer and readers in this world and the hereafter. |
baba11:There's nothing wrong in seeking a virgin, in fact the sunnah encourages it. However, this should not derail one from the primary attributes for marriage and that is Uprightness in Deen and pure aqeedah. This should also not lead to stigmatization of repented women. How many men are actually virgins sef?! |
carinmom:Many people practice it in the country, especially students. If I'm a bus driver that travels from Lagos to Kaduna and spends two months there once every year. If I marry a wife there (kaduna) and she understands the nature of my job and agrees to manage with my two months a year visit. Then this is Misyar. This doesn't mean they can't be together at any another time. This should not be seen as an advantage for men alone rather any of the two parties could be the one waving the right. If the woman I intend to marry gets admission into a university in Sudan for instance, and she only comes home for Ramadan break. If I marry her and agree to manage with her then this is also Misyar. Are there not many brothers/sisters who are in southern university and their spouse is in the north or outside the country. And there are many of my colleagues who are married to people in other universities such that they only meet during breaks. Apart from traveling, some people are very busy with some things which doesn't allow them to stay far away. eg a person who is nursing his/her sick parents etc. And many instances like these. People do it, it's the name that got people confused. Allah knows best. |
carinmom:Pray for me too, I love to stay at Kaduna during my service too. Memorize the Quran there. I can't wait, Kaydee here I come.... |
lexiconkabir:maybe later
I copied the post actually, it isn't mine. |
Demmzy15:Misyar: as they call it is a valid Sharia marriage. The fact that it was given a name doesn't nullify it's validity. The scholars have a principle: العبرة بحقيقة المسمى لا بالتسمية Cognisance is given only to the true nature of matters not the name given to it. If a person makes alcohol and names it holy water, does that affect it's impermissibility in any way? Misyar is a completely valid Sharia marriage that has all the pillars and obligations of nikkah, the only thing special about it is that one or both of the spouses gives away some of his rights that he has been given by the Sharia. Eg: The husband might give away his right of being cooked for etc, the woman might leave her right of being spent on by the man. The truth is no one had a problem with this type of marriage until a name was given to it. Except that consent on sin is not valid eg consent to anal intercourse which is prohibited is not right. But other matters which are neither obligatory nor prohibited then it is right to wave your right. |
following... off to Part 3 But I wonder why people are desperate to locate the gate. Could it be poor Eeman in the book of Allah or just inquisitive instinct. I hope it's the later. Just added benefit: Some of the historians said Gog and Magog are not from the children of Adam i.e not human beings but this is weak as Allah only informed us of the jinn and mankind to be the only high intelligence on earth. As for their lineage then Allah knows best. But why would anyone be interested in locating the iron gate I'm really puzzled about this ![]() |
carinmom:Aameen. But the women have to be truthful from the first time. I believe if the brother truly loves her he will go ahead if he's sure that she has repented from her past. However, if the brother decides to discontinue the process because of virginity alone, he shouldn't be blamed. But once he continues with the process, he shouldn't ever make the mistake of making her feel incomplete or inferior because of her status. |
