Christianity Etc › Can We Get Rid Of The Religious Threads? by nguage(op): 5:30pm On Sep 28, 2008 |
;DSerioulsly why is it that these religion forums are always active? The active members of these forums are also quite dedicated, writing long paragraghs to defend western and eastern religions, these religions were only used by easten traders and western explorers to exploit us of resources - human and natural. (I'm about to call out posters and if your name is mentioned its not because I don't respect you or your ability to reason). Posters like davidylan and olabowale go on all day about Islam and Christianity, these guys must be smart because they write and reason well but why would you waste your time to support neo-slavery? Between the Bible and its many contradictions, Islam and its kill all non-believer agenda, are we so blind that we can't see the truth, these religions are ways to pin us to the ground. If the Portugese and Spanish explorers weren't so strong and the arabic traders was non existent, what if the African man was the trader and the explorer, the whole world would be worshiping obatala and bowing down in front of Igbo gods. My point is that religion is relative and shouldn't be placed so high on our list of priorities, the reason we are Christians is related to the white man colonizing our people and not because Christianity is supreme. So why do we waste out time arguing about these religions when they wouldn't even be an issue if we weren't colonized in the first place? By arguing for these religions, are we indirectly supporting colonization and slavery? |

j-girl: naawee, you are an established fool for what you posted. Like attracts like. . . . I am sure you are not fine so why should you attract fine girls. The russian girls that are after you must be very desperate to sleep with a black man. I really hope you find some girl like that to make you happy.
I don't think all Nigerian girls are ugly and stupid. . . in fact, i think most of them are not. Are you trying to say only desperate girls sleep with black men? |

Islam › Russian Woman Arrested In Dubai For Drinking Orange Juice by nguage(op): 10:08pm On Sep 24, 2008 |
A 28-year-old Russian female, who visited Dubai on a tourist visa, and a 30-year-old male citizen of Lebanon, a salesman in a local store, were put on trial for drinking juice in a public place in the daytime during Muslim fasting. The police caught the two people red-handed at a gas station in Dubai, Emirat.ru reports with reference to Gulf News.
In accordance with the Federal Penal Code of the United Arab Emirates, a public intake of food and beverages during daytime hours of the month of Ramadan is forbidden by Article 313. The article stipulates the punishment in the form of either a monetary penalty – up to 2,000 dirhems ($555) – or even a term of up to one month in prison.
The young people told the court that they were not Muslims and were thus unaware of the fact that their actions could be punishable.
The court took the mitigating circumstances into consideration, but found the defendants guilty, since ignorance did not exclude responsibility. The court ruled that the young people must pay the fine of 1,000 dirhems ($278) each.
The case became the first one in Dubai in violation of Article 313 since the beginning of the month of Ramadan on September 1.
Thousands of foreigners from Europe and Asia reside in the emirate of Dubai, the major tourist center of the Persian Gulf . Dubai is known as a relatively liberal region in comparison with other territories of the UAE. Tourists can be seen in the streets wearing shorts, whereas alcoholic beverages can often be available in bars and hotels.
This year, however, the authorities intend to remind all residents and guests of the emirate that they are staying on the territory of a Muslim country. There have been quite a number of incidents recently when the local police in plain clothes arrested women sunbathing topless, nudists and other violators of public order.
Many tourists acknowledge that that they do not always understand how they should behave in Dubai.
Guide-books advise tourists should always carry their IDs, or better their copies, with them for the majority of police officers wear plain clothes and can be rather meticulous in their inspections. http://english.pravda.ru/society/stories/23-09-2008/106429-dubai-0 |
Sports › Meet Zakumi, This Teenage Leopard Is The 2010 World Mascot by nguage(op): 10:55pm On Sep 23, 2008 |
Leopard mascot dances onto world stage
A cuddly leopard with green hair has been unveiled as the mascot of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The character, called Zakumi, has been given his own biography and name to reflect the country's aims and hopes.
Organisers said the character was 'born' on 16 June, 1994 - the year in which apartheid ended.
The date is celebrated as Youth Day to mark the 1976 Soweto uprising when young protesters struck a blow against white rule.
At the mascot's introduction at a state TV studio, a performer in a Zakumi costume kicked around a football with Mark Fish, who helped lead South Africa to the African Cup of Nations title in 1996.
The name Zakumi is made up of the initials 'ZA', standing for South Africa, and 'Kumi', meaning 10 in many African languages.
Tim Modise, spokesman for the South African organising committee, said Zakumi also can be understood as "Come here" in southern African languages.
Jerome Valcke, secretary of football governing body Fifa, said: "Zakumi represents the people, geography and spirit of South Africa.
"We are certain we will have a lot of fun with him in the lead-up to and during the Fifa Confederations Cup and the World Cup."
Andries Odendaal, from Cape Town, came up with the design - the animal's green hair is designed to provide 'camouflage' on a football pitch.
Fifa first introduced mascots in 1966 with World Cup Willie - a Union Jack-clad English Lion.
Others included the orange-shaped Naranjito in Spain in 1982, the 'ciao' stick-figure in Italian colours in 1990 and Footix, a French cockerel, in 1998. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/africa/7630454.stm

R.kelly probably heard about how most African countries don't have laws concerning sex with underage girls, and he is coming to Africa! He claims it's a soul-cleansing mission but I know he loves that JSS 3 pu*sy. If he decides to come to Nigeria, Nigerians, keep your daughters indoors. |

If you think man u will best Chelsea at Stanford bridge, you must be smoking something and I'd like to know what
Chelsea is coming from an away win and a 4 nil trashing of the French team. Man u couldn't score against villareal at old trafford after being smacked at Liverpool.
Now, as a rational being, add this up in your head and tell me what you see.
Yeah I know football is not mathematics but any dimwit will know Chelsea is smoking right now, while man u is not so smoking. But calling man u fans dimwits is offensive to dimwits, because, let's face it, man u fans aren't dumwits they are self-service looney fans. |
Romance › Re: A Player's Family knows? by nguage(m): 2:40am On Sep 17, 2008 |
topup: I am surprised by the replies, maybe a lot of Nigerians live secluded from their families, but I knew a guy who was extremely close to his sister, but he was a player, I dumped him when I found out that he was not serious. His sister might think that I wasn't the serious one, but only if she didn't know her brother. I've asked some of my friends and they believe that siblings are aware especially close ones, when a guy who is young and reasonably good-looking who never talks about one girl, but he parties a lot and his friends are the ones who openly talk about 'preys' and 'making a catch tonight'. She must know, she is his best friend, his confidant - he'D told me. She probably turned a blind eye to it all saying that 'boys will be boys'.
I think that usually, the siblings will know if they are close, but maybe the double life may be sustained if the siblings are not close. I wasn't serious with you because you weren't wifey material. We did all kinds of knky stuffs on that night I picked you up, and you still expected me to be serious. GTFOH |
