Right after NYSC, I had two job offers: one was completely unrelated to my career path but the salary was more, the other was in line with my knowledge, skills and abilities but the salary was barely half of what the first was.
After consulting with her, I decided to pick the first because I needed to have enough to take care of the both of us pending when she's able to get a job.
Two months later, through her dad's connection, she got an entry-level job at one of the IOCs in Lagos. A month into the job, babe started changing, then she broke the news that her parents said we can't be together because of reasons she wouldn't divulge. I let her go.

I have accepted the appointment but I'm confused about what to do should APL come. Should I remain in national assembly and network upwards or move to NNPC. The reason for the delay is illogical. It may be true but it is illogical because the presidency shouldn't be reviewing salary packages of agencies. There are several MDAs set up for such duties. So, it may be true but it is highly illogical.

The process has not been cancelled please. Yes it’s currently on hold pending when approvals are given to the new package review for all the staffs at NNPC. I was told the new mgt are delaying it because of the package review currently at presidential villa for approval. They won’t want to issue APL to new recruits with the old package. So that’s the reason behind the suspension of the process. He also said Maybe in November or December it’ll be concluded.

I got to second round only because I had a walkover in first round (my opponent did not come). I was beaten black and blue in the 2nd round.

All the other 4 reps of my then company (whose opponents came) were beaten in first round. So, technically, I went farther in the competition. I moved to a new company few weeks after that competition.

That was me in white backing the camera in that 2012 competition (will pull down shortly)
