Recently, at a gathering of CGI techies, someone dented my confidence. He, its always a He, said my models are just not African enough. He said he can bet his left ball that I simply pilfered my sculpts from some behance artist or thereabout.
Ofcourse, i tried to defend my self, even close to the edge of over-elaboration. At a point, my voice cracked...eyes got nearly misty and i can see the demons of doubt creeping out of the other guys in that round table.
that thing pain me mehnnn, i must confess....
Oh well, i must move on. I dont even know y i am typing about and whimpering like a baby over another contemporary's jab.

plaindealer: Your opinion even though flawed and myopic. Nigeria is doing way way better and we've achieved more and scored better performance in the last 4 years with less.
Where is the sense and sane rational in saying that the administration that earned and spent more money without any meaningful achievement performed better than the one that's achieving more with less?
Where is the sense and sane rational in saying that the administration earned over $100 per barrel and declared austerity measures with $77 per barrel oil earnings with nothing to show is better than the one that survived with $27 per barrel and even achieved more?
I was actually expecting you to show us the so called performance and realities on the ground in 2014 like power, health, roads, bridges and things that really mattered to Nigerians. plz stop, stop, stop this nonsense. nigeria x not better now. Its Super worse. stop all these lies. If Nigeria is half as goodd as you put it we wont have this Bloomberg piece nor 23% unemployment. Stop been delusional....please |

Resources to be channelled for better things, are wasted fighting bokoharam, they create with their own hands.. most foreign aid are channelled to the north despite having the richest man In Africa. they're the greatest beneficiaries of Melinda and Bill-gates foundation..
They contribute nothing...they only help in increasing Nigeria's population. and the unfortunate thing is that they use their population to vote in a miserable old fart.... they breed and breed and breed until death do them part. they discard their children to the streets. they refused to grow with the 21st century. infact, norrin is good about the north. they are the very reason nigeria lags behind in all indices.. where x Thanos when you need him. |

Rossikk: You are so naive. Do you realise that Nigeria is projected to become the 3RD most populous nation on earth after China and India by 2050?
That alone automatically places it in US sights. Leave aside all the other stuff, like its economy, socio-political situation etc. etc.
That population size alone virtually GUARANTEES that every major company and manufacturer on earth today has a NIGERIA PLAN going forward.
No business worth its salt ignores the world's third largest market. Nigeria will become progressively more powerful and pivotal on the continent. There is even a Nigerian cultural takeover of Africa and the black diaspora, plus the wider western world as we speak.
Nollywood has been our historical cultural ambassador, but now, our AFROBEATS is being blared in hitherto unreachable places, from the USA to UK, Germany, Brazil, Chile, Kenya, SA, Morocco, Dubai, Norway, Italy, Jamaica, Trinidad. Everywhere. Go on YouTube and read the comments. Clubs and radio stations across the world now are scrambling to play the latest tunes from Nigeria. Names like Davido, Tekno, Burna Boy, and Runtown have become household names across the world.
According to Price Waterhouse Coopers, “Nigeria is projected to be the third largest populated country in the world by 2050 with 399 million people. PwC projects that Nigeria could emerge the 14th largest economy in the world by 2050, with GDP in Market Exchange Rate (MER) terms at $3.3 trillion.
https://leadership.ng/2017/07/19/nigeria-emerge-14th-largest-economy-2050-pwc/
And you think the USA is not looking at all this? That means you don't know them. You are still living in dreamland. You forgot to note that we are not the only growing country. What happens to Ethiopia, Vietnam and Indonesia? The population is well educated and still projected to skyrocket. What makes you think they will prefer Nigeria over Vietnam with cheap labour force and skillset. Bros, our pop is never an asset and the US is never bothered about us. Heck, they are even more concerned with Venezuela and Iran. Don't suffer from any grand delusion that Nigeria will ever pose a threat to US. Do we even have Nuclear enrichment programme or do we even export Molybdenum? What do we have that is so rare to scare the US? What? |

I ve always maintained that all Igbos should stop investing outside the south east, especially the Sw.
Let's look home. Let's emulate Dr Godwin Maduka.
That skyscraper you want to build in Eko atkantic, forget it, build it it in Anambra, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi or IMO.
We should all divest from the SW. We should all be divergent. This country ain't one and its high time we, the Igbo, stop burying our heads in the sand in the illusive hope that Nigeria is on the right path or is united. She never is!
Channel your money back to the East, for it is where the Sun rises.
I hope Coscharis, Sir, you're reading this cos I know you're on NL and politics us your favorite thread.
And you too, E-money. Thoust are also on NL. Don't just invest in hotels in the East try something more tangible. |

Eberex: How can Captain america summon lightning when he is not a god. Being worthy only made him to carry the hammer, that's all.
As for Thor, Marvel universe showed us the reality as in how depression and sadness can make someone change in 5 years. Were you expecting him to still be fit when there was no one to fight during those years?
Captain Marvel kept showing up when all hope is lost, but Thanos also knew he couldn't defeat her. If that punch from the power stone knocked her out, then that would show you the amount of power that stone has For some reason I don't really fancy Captain Marvel. Maybe it was because we didn't grow with her as per the other actors. So no empathy or is it with the actor herself, something x off. I cant place my fingers on it |

ganduje received 1.2tr naira in 4yrs, and allegedly receive $5m as bribe which is equivalent to 1.5b naira. ganduje paid workers to date and perform well infrastructurally
ikpeazu received 400b naira in 4yrs and secretly embezzled more than 100b naira without paying salaries and no infrastructure in place.
who do you think is better? So in essense, we should not castigate Gandollars?? This kinda mindset is the reason this hopeless s.hithole is in a 12tg century ditch In a modern society, both Govs wouldve been lynched. Thank God for Anambra
Thank God for unleashing Peter Obi on Anambra.
And Thank God for always forcing Gov Obiano to try to fit into Obi's big shoes.
Sometimes a leader needs to set an example, create an unassailable blueprint thereby arm-twisting subsequent leaders to live up to expectations.
Obiano knew that if he did not try, people will always say Obi is better. This is why Anambra is working... |
