Soo, what've you been thinking about lately? Or, - and you may need the relevant professional for this - what have you not been thinking about? And, specifically, what've you been suppressing? Your dream will likely tell you more about the past than the future. . . . |
Boy mind the words you use against T.b Joshua, for your information he is a Man Of God that everyone knows about, this is no Joke.
Soo, what 'll happen? Has he got his own heavenly Mopol? Man of God? This man who sought MouthAction from one of his devotees? This comedian who preys on the pitiful? . |
OLAADEGBU:Mobs are essentially the same wherever you encounter them. Someone starts an applause, and it begns to spread, reaches critical mass and explodes in thunderous applause. Pray, tell: the old man's world are irrelevant to Gillich's position on the resurrection. It's somewhat elementary to point that out; but how would you tell that to a baptist mob in rapturous applause?? Of course, jagunlabi's Nirvana response makes nonsense of the baptist apple story; well done! . . |
Dolemite:Profound ignorance. Let's suppose the fraudster Mr. Joshua visits Mr. Yar'Adua, prays for him, sprinkles some 'pure water' sample on him, does all his theatre show; and then Yar'Adua gets better some a few days after. So what? Will that prove Mr. Joshua is able to heal through whatever means? What sad, backward thinking makes this sort of inference possible without further examination? . |
sinequanon:Not a bad question. What makes this one death special? Just because a guy's born by a virgin doesn't mean he's special. The bigger worry is how it came about that 2000+ years ago, a pretty Jewish girl who git herself preganant successfully convinced some people that she really didn't nookie before it happened; after a short story about Gabriel and halos and lights and stuff, there, the story's making the rounds. It's fantastic the Jews don't believe it; they know their girls better. . |
What're you both talking about?? Whio prayed during "offering" time at Winner's largest church on Sunday? Did you listen to the prayer? Of course, Oyedepo makes sure he says the right things during his boasting sessions, called preaching, on Sundays. He made the same claims just this last Sunday. He's lying from the vast altar, and there's none of you calling him out on it: no university in Nigeria is "world class"; Oyedepo made that claim. As to you who said "Bishop Oyedepo's life is not funded by the church. It is the blesssings of the lord." Really? Has the Lord a bank account? Or do angels deliver cash in Ghana-Must-Go bags at the gates of his residence? Yes, Oyedepo's ministry is accomplishing fantastic projects around the world; that's not anymore different than what dumb African politicians and military heads did: have poor people around you, start mega projects around the world. Now, answer the simple charge: what percentage of those people at Winners' last Sunday could afford to educate their children in Oyedepo's schools? The poor are there, the very poor, yet, the Church is executing projects abroad?? . |
You’re A King; Say The Word!If you're all kings, who'll be the subjects? Fantastic spiritual pyramid scheme promising to make everyone rich as kings. . |
Still avoiding a straightforward question: 1) is there any difference between adultery in thought and doing it - to coin a phrase - for real? . |
i said smooch in a relationship not marriage,A marriage is a relationship. Now, my friend, you need to sort yourself out some, really. If you've got a high libido - well above average - it may be a big problem to obey what your pastor says about fornication; tough. That doesn't mean fornication is best for you though. But, be clear about this: no one would take you seriously if you claim to be a Christian and you go around smooching the sisters; especially now that you've had a few of them. If you're h-orny, you're h.orny, that doesn't mean you want to be serious in a committed reøationship. . |
This encouraging, feel-good story is of no use except to the couple and the faithful. 1) What was her prognosis when she went to the doctor? 2) Did she go for fertility tests at all? What were the results? 3) Was she using any fetility meds? Was she on any medications? 4) Of course, she could've gotten pregnant after being sprayed with Mr. Joshua's placebo; it proves nothing. Events happen conicidentally all the time. 5) Why are there still women seeking pregnancies at Joshua's church? If these 'miracles' happen all the time, they'll become commonplace and there'll be no more women seeking pregnacies. That you get these 'testimonies' every once in a while is a pointer to elements of chance. . . |
You sound like an earnest fellow: keen to do what is right, and torn by reality and pangs of conscience. This state is fertile ground for some confusion. First, you said to obey the 10 commandments perfectly. This is not only impossible, but it'll be foolish to do. We need only take a few of the commandments to see how short-sighted they are. And, oh, no, I'm not saying all of the commandments are useless - many of them are intuitive, applied within reason ; but as absolute commands, as presented, they're of little value. You're almost correct in writing " what you may see as sin another may not see as sin"; we could see where that's going, but you've got to define "sin". This statement - alone, by itself - negates your advice to "perfectly obey the 10 commandments"; do you see that? You wrote "I see mothing wrong with smooching". Well, how could anyone reasonable disagree with that?? Only a foolish person would, because the statement doesn't make much sense. Here's why: under what conditions? Could voluntary smooching between a man and his spouse, say be wrong? Or, more specifically, could smoochin between a woman and her husband be wrong? So you see that your statement is incomplete. It beckons the reader to make an assumption; you should state things clearly. But on balance, you're probably saying "it depends". Well, we'll need to hear it from you. i have being in many relationships that collapsed because of intimacy issuses it left me in pain, when i read the bible to knw if smooching is wrong i found no answer which means it all depends on an individual.Aah! Personal experience, eh? See, how could you expect a different result when you kept doing the same things the same way with the smae kinda people? What've you been doing? Exactly what've you been doing? What do you mean "smooching"?? If you're digging your hands under her top on the first date, she may not like it; just a word. So, dear fellow poster, these troubles may make you propound weird theories, but don't worry, they happen all the time. Relax some, be clear with your questions, and perhas you'll find the help you need. But make no mistake: you can't do just as you please without consideration for other humans; you don't have to be a Christian, or even be religious/'spiritual' to figure that. . |
OLAADEGBU:You've asked a direct question, I'll answer directly - as a lesson to you, and as a reminder of your ineffective attempt to evade sirent questions asked you: A tree is a tree, and a fruit is its fruit: many times a tree may be inedible, but the fruit would be succulent, providing nutrients. Heck, a tree may not produce any fruit, at which point a certain prophet may be so mad as to 'curse't he fruit and decree it to die. There're clear differences, marked by distinctions, between a tree and its fruit. Any follow-up question? Now, to one of the questions you've refused to answer: 1) is there any difference between adultery in thought and doing it - to coin a phrase - for real? |
Madukaele:How old? ! How odd to ask! We all know about sacrifices; we make them everyday: for our families, for our loved ones, for our friends, and for people we don't even know. But you're confusing these with human sacrifice. Do you agree with human sacrifice? This is the crucial question. And, what's Satan got to do with this? Well as I know: the sacrifice was demanded by God, it was provided by God, and it was paid to God. Don't you go pulling Satan into this human sacrificial arrangement. If - in any case, and at your own risk - you wish to drag Satan into this, go right ahead. |
No pastor - or nun - ever returns stolen loot. Mom T, better known as Mother Theresa didn't. Adeboye wouldn't. Bad as sin, these are the role models for Christians today. For shame! |
Are you interested in what God said about this, or are you going to discuss Paulian perspectives? Yahweh, the Hebrew local God, was clear wbaout where his interests lay: Women were property; adultery was a violation of another man's property, with the additional injury of the possibility of obscuring the family line (this is related also to property, since, except for the Levites, inheritance was along family lines). Things're clearer when we examine the punishment for a man who has intercourse with a consenting virgin. The Law in this case removes all cloaks and confirms the position of women as property. And, of course, this was a society where slavery was acceptable. Now, how is any of this of any use today? why should God be hurt by what two consenting adults do behind closed doors? And, how could anyone prove that disobeying God on this has lasting negative consequences? The most prosperous societies today have low marriage rates, lots of sexual activity, and live happier lives than the inhabitants of poor Africa where most proclaim to be religious. . |
Pastor Christ? Has Chris upgraded his name? . |
Madukaele:You meant to write "unless", right? So, you would support abortion based on the specifics of the case, eh? What're you other 'related cases'? . |
frprof:Er, have you thought well over what you appear to be asserting? You mean, God, your god, watches over every act down here? When you're in the toilet, doing all sorts, he's there? That's a lot of smell. When people're making things, including, erhem, love, he's watching? That's a lot of lookery. What about when peeps're watching p.orn? Is he watching too? Heck, that's a whole lot of p.orn; think about it: when the original is being made, he's watching; when peeps start watching the vidoes, online and elsewhere, he's watching too; and that's a whole lot of peeps, considering how much the p.orn industry is worth. Do you really think so lowly of your god to assign this nasty surveillance task to him?? . |
Madukaele:First off: aren't you - even slightly - disgusted by the idea of human sacrifice? How could you proclaim as moral an action that punishes someone supposedly innocent, by painful, slow death, no less, for the acts of another? No worthy member of our species would accept human sacrifice as fine. "God allowed slaves for a good purpose" ?? What purpose was that?? |
Have you not just quoted Jesus to show that Jesus was right?? Many words, yet, you still managed to avoid the question: is there any difference between adultery in thought and doing it - to coin a phrase - for real? Second, Mr. Jefferson's words have is his own opinion; he may havee been the 'author' of America, but to call upon him in this discussion is arguing from 'authority' at the very least; that line is so inferior that it merits little discussion. . |
Old pic. . |
Madukaele:Isn't it rather short-sighted that rules made for a tribe in the Middle Eastern desert would also apply to all peoples everywhere and for all eternity? Think about it. How could it be that the rules that guided a tribe of slaves from Egypt across the seas wandering around would also be relevant today? And if the Hebrew tribal god is all that moral, how come he never righted the wrongs of slavery? And, if sins only hurts humans, why should god be all that concerned? . |
What about those children that are spontaneously aborted? That's what happens to about 40% of all pregnancies: aborted without any human intervention. Who takes responsibility for that? . |
So Jesus convicts people for 'thought crime'? That policing of thoughts must be tedious. That apart, tell: is there is difference between someone who does it and someone who merely thoughts about it? There's got to be a difference for the sake of justice, no? What's Jesus' proper interpretation, since you appear to know his mind? . |
"If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel" (Deuteronomy 22:22). Isn't this an overreaction? So it doesn't matter if either of the other spouses was ready to forgive? What if they had children? The children on either/both sides lose their parent(s) because of an act of nookie? The Mosaic Law was primitive, brutish, and mean. In earlier times, people appered more reasonable. . |
tijanijude:You're on to something here. It's always been a wonder why god should care what two consenting adults would do with their bodies in the confines of a locked room. It's a happy thing you could confirm it doesn't hurt god. The problem is; why's god watching such stuff? Why?? . |
How do you know they adhere to a "high standard on morality"; is that from the personal experience of being a JW yourself, or by observation of JWs from a distance, or based on what you've been told by JWs? . |

They don't watch television 'cos it's a trance medium But they use the freaking Internet. Nasty dodo heads! . |
In fact! The prophecy is exact and accurate! This is the mark of a true man of God. There was no warning at all before the earthquake from all sides, including from MrCrackles or Nimshi. I have even heard that he mentioned that the place is very close to the sea, exactly, she bi this Chile is very close to the sea. Praise The Lord!
Ignorance is depressing. Anyone with a below-average knowledge of tectonic plates could eliminate vast areas of the earth from earthquakes. And a quick search of hotspots would give a clear picture, including locations in South Western Nigeria. You need a fair knowledge of the evaluation of evidence, and the meaning of prophecy; you don't have it. There's no wonder how the semi-literate fraudster Joshua fools people like you. . |
Chrisbenogor:Hahaha. You could try; but you'll never be able to match that disgusting, slippery preacher, Chris O. His last attempt to engineer a mircle was foiled in South Africa. They may have been battered from apartheid, but, er, they've got no fear of the heavenly thugs called down by a corrupt pastor to scare them. http://elombah.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&catid=34%3Acomments&id=639%3Afaith-healer-or-fake-healer-pastor-chris&Itemid=41 |
TrueSeeker:Do you really seek what is true? Do you really seek the truth? My motivation for speaking the truth isn't a heavenly reward; I'll do it for nothing. Neither is it the threat of eternal annihilation or punishment in a fiery hell. It is my responsibility as a member of our species to do that. And, yes, of course, the documentation that the Jehovah's Witness organsisation does habour, protect - by way of policies - and have paid off cases to protect their abusers elders and member is irrefutable. Much of them is vailable from open sources. And you needn't even go back 5 years. . |
