2 lawyer friends with about 7 years experience working for a company average between them N490,000 per month in salary (called to be bar about 7 years ago; work for a company in Lagos; salaries are February 2010 salaries; both have second degrees). What's the angst about? ther're well-paid lawyers, and ther're not-so-well-paid lawyers.

I think people are losing track of the purpose of the thread.

It is the AVERAGE salary for a lawyer. Definitely there would be some who earn millions, but others are paid as little as 15,000 as stated above.

What we need knowing is the average across states in nigeria and different sectors.

And where do you propose anyone would find this "average" data?

Questions with "average" wrt salaries are often ill-posed, and especially in a place like Nigeria.

What's useful is a figure with circumstances attached; that gives a better view than any quoted "average".

Sorry, but, when you quote a salary amount, kindly include the reference year.

N10,000/month in 1998 isn't the same as N10,000/month in 2008.

The reference year will put the amount in the correct perspective.

Include the city, 'level'/type of firm, your highest qualification then (were you already claled to the bar or still preparing for bar exams, etc etc), then you'll be supplying good information.

Do the right thing: pay a visit to the bank, confirm if the amount had been wrongly posted.

You would probably be saving a cashier a lot of trouble, possible sack, and possibly some money too.

May you have the courage to do what's right.

The Christian crowd are again too eager to ascribe to the Hebrew God an attribute he hasn't completely claimed. The scripture is showing that God is more subtle, more cynical, more utilitarian, and more cunning than the simple God-can-never-lie Christian God modern Christians attempt to sell. What a pity. God is shaking his head and wondering why the loudest fellows who claim to worship him can't understand him.

The Hebrew God has also documented his capability for complicity in the murder of the children of one of his friends, even if the murder was contracted out to another creature of his; he's shown he'd do this just to prove a point. Yet, modern day Christians fail to understand the subtle, multi-layered nature of the God they claim, assigning to him a purity that his documented actions don't.

It's clear: the Christian God is being remade in the image of the view of his worshipers. Modern day Christians are remaking the Hebrew God to suit their view.

That's the blasphemy, if there ever was one.

arguing with u about God is what i cant do any more, if u really want to know about how true it is on Gods existence put it to test. dats how i did mine. like i told u before am not a blind christain like most pastors or xtains, most people dont even know who God is , if i estimate i will say 85% of xtains dont know God at all, the just belive cos of fear or becos the were born into it. am not a silly xtain, i knw what i belive and i go for it, i still have some problems with God on my own but that doesnt mean am not a xtain or God doesnt exist.
