Any Winner back from the 1st service to let's know what's happening? Lots of Vengeance, Sentencing to Death, Removal, Tribulation, etc etc today. Unusual, somewhat. . |
Catch-22. The Jehovah's Witnesses have been clever by half about this: They say God could have known what would happen, but he simply chose to suspend his power of looking into the future in this one instance. Amost clever explanation, one'd say, except it patently absurd. . |
Atheists:May be because Mary, his mother was only an incubator, too (doesn't solve the foster-father position of Joseph) Or, because, traced right back, Mary may herself be the descendant of a prostitute. (Reference to Boaz. . . ) It's Sunday in many time zones, dude, and we're weary of probably plaspheming by speculation on this holy day. |
KunleOshob:Are the assets owned by his ministry in his name or in the name of any other individual? Will they be inherited by members of his family or any other individuals named by him? Winner's Chapel may be his private empire - he probbaly built it from scratch - yet, that does not prelcude better use. Perhaps his ministry is engaged in other positive works, but the emphasis here is that it isn't enough, yet. . |
Why don't you share your own opinion, first? . |
Up Winner's! So, what happened to this pastor? : Lagos: a housewife has narrated how she was raped and infected with syphilis by a pastor with the Bishop David Oyedepo-led Winners Chapel in Lagos. Narrating her ordeal at the Alimosho magistrate’s court in Lagos during a divorce proceeding, the victim, Mrs. Bisola Ogunlana whoSource: http://www.elombah.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1421:a-winners-chapel-pastor-raped-me-housewife&catid=46:naija-gossip&Itemid=64 . |
Bishop Oyedepo announced that his ministry acquired two properties in the Lagos area worht about N600,000,000; that was a few weeks ago. How about helping the abjectly poor in his ministry? How about increasing scholarships to the needy in the ministry for their children to attend Covenant University? Priorities misplaced. . |
Chiddysville:Good question. The answer is: No, Jesus is not on record to have paid the tithe. But he's on record to have instucted that Taxes must be paid; he probably didn't have much money on him, so he performed a miracle to teach the lesson: Taxes must be paid. Many Christians fail to see this. Pastor Adeboye's church schemed to have taxes waived by Obasanjo's government. Other churches do the same. . . Not good. |
Whilst it is pardonable for one not to believe in relgion, it is unfathomable why anyone would believe there is no creator and it takes an extreme level of faith to hold on to that delusion. The certainty of this opinion is frightening. There're good reasons to not believe in a Creator God; one of them is quite elementary. Yet, there're reasons to believe there's a Creator. To refer to those in the former as deluded is quite a stretch; it is the undoing of the faithful: that certainty. . |
Not a stupid topic. Since there's no spirit-insipred way to discern the sources of tithes, it's clear that tithes from officially unapproved topics will make their way to the church coffers. Frankly, these tithing thing makes a good argument for higher taxes; unfortunately, the govt. doesn't appear to be making good use of taxes, except, of course, the Lagos State government. . |
What's happening at the Winner's Chapel service today? Lots of talk about Vengeance, Curses and stuff, not only by the Bishop, but by other pastors. Did anything happen during the week? . |
michael Ib:Leaving aside the suspicions (you could think about it. . . who's most likely to reply as "Ademlabi"?), yet, this doesn't say anything about the genuineness of the deals you're offering (marketing is marketing, and standards have come so low that anything goes), but, tell, pls: how did "Adelambi" email you? I ask because: 1) your email address isn't (yet) on this thread 2) your email address is (yet) 'hidden' in your profile I for one would have liked to call, but I prefer to email prior to a call. So perhaps now you have a hint to the reason for the grin at least. . |

Big joke, yes. This actress' acting in Jenifa is mediocre; she's got some talent, no doubt; but she overacts, puts up a child-like show. If this is the best the Award committee could do, this is a certainly a joke. . |
larez: thanks for your contribution. Your figures give a water/cement ratio of about 0.56, which is fine. thirdeye used quite practical units (headpans, tippers); these are useful, and it would've been useful if your recipe for concrete did the same. Regarding what is being poured, the thread is about "concrete in raft foundation". . |
desse: any comments on the concrete mixing ratio for the raft foundation in thirdeye's blog? You just gave an estimate in Naira, ? |

There're several payment plans offered by banks to buy cars. But would any sane person subject themselves to a 19% p.a. rate? The repayment plans aren't pretty. But if it's good for you, then just do it. . |
He can find people of better pedigree. How much better? Nabolisah Arah was MD of Fidelity bank before retiring early years years ago. Aboh, and then Alabi were appointed by Soludo to help with Wema, the one before the other. These're guys who've earned their reputations. . |
Finecat:The news already hit all the relevant organs of the mass media; and it did very shortly after the decision was made pubic. And for at least two of those banks, it was certain that the management had to face some death-dealing music. But panic selling? Who'll be buying? These banks are broker than broke. . . Monday 'll tell. Any big investor worth their salt would've picked these up; several analysts did. And it's been well-known Nigerian banks have been sick for a long time. Soludo exposed some of the underbelly. Now, Sanusi - a credit/risk man - is ripping open the rotten flesh of that underbelly. It's not going to be pretty; the stink will remain. . |
. . . The properties are located atYou've got to wonder how this man duped so many for so long. Sharing information is a good thing. . |
desse: where and when did you obtain your degree in Architecture? Also, are you registered to practice in Nigeria? . |
You got him there. Ayo, :Ofada town*** YES! "OFADA TOWN" with good access road and electricity. - electricity? Yeah! *Good neighbourhood - where're the neighbours?? *YOU CAN START WORK IMMEDIATELY - Of course; and you'll be your only neighbour ***PHOTOS COMING SOON!*** - we just saw some; where're yours? Almost certainly one of the liars. |
Lawyer wrote: Finally according to my new research and reports, i got inside information that most of the Estates there are going under i.e bankrupt because they took loans to buy those Hectares of Land and spent a huge chunk on Advertising those Estates and procuring Machineries but since the Subscription has been slow coupled with the Recession, the Process of Foreclosure is looming terribly and the Directors of the Real Estate Companies are packing their bags to abandon the Project till new funds are injected. So if your land falls into those ones, well i am sorry, the only way to get your funds back partially is through the courts or to locate them and ask them what is going on and demand at all cost to either get your lands properly given to you and documented or for them to refund your money. Its left for you to know the status of your Land you bought from a host of these Billions of Proposed Estates that have only one House or Building they are using to Hood wink people! This is curious. If they got loans, surely there was collateral? Or would the banks have allowed the property to be collateral? And it'll be an interesting detail to find out when and how much they paid for the properties; good guess is: peanuts compared to the prices they're selling a plot today. The average mark-up would probably be double digits. . |
A question: What if property is being transferred without it being bought/sold? Essentially, the cost of the transaction is zero naira: say when a father gifts a plot to his daughter. How will the cost for the Governor's consent be calculated? Cheers. |
Now to the Governor's consentLawyer, thanks for the time and information. But your example calculation is unclear. (see the part in boldface type below): So if you bought the land for N1,000,000 (One Million Naira), and you know from the survey plan that your land is probably for example 160m2 by 56 m2, you have to calculate your area multiplied by the square meters.Did you mean to writee 160m by 56m? It is difficult to understand 160m2 by 56 m2 , ___160m by 56m = 8960 sq.mtrs ___ at N1,500 per m^2, this fellow would be shelling out N13.44million for the consent. 160m^2 is quite small an area; and 8960m^2 is quite large. I'll suppose any figure from about 600m^2 is a reasonably-sized plot although some estates at Lekki, say, have plots of 450 m^2. Cheers. |
Where's Badore? . |
naijaman12:No, it's not a prayer that's needed; prayers won't do jack. Nigeria needs to get off it's lazy butt and begin doing something real other than exporting Niger Delta crude oil. A $1 to N1 exchange rate isn't feasible in 10 years. naijaman12:Stable/constant electricity supply is a step in the right direction. |
agajelu:Your observation is meaningless without any useful contribution from you. If the information on this thread has been useful to you, then do something positive by supplying credible dollar exchange rate data. If not, then be gone, eh; no one needs a sermon on what to post. . |
egin:Someone didn't attend either Maths or English classes or both. Anyways, BAC:Actually, those bottles - when filled up with whatever they'd be filled-up with - will return far more per unit volume of liquid than any crude oil investment. BAC:True; sad, but true. . |
