solomonwis: Your Msc is important as you will get a higher score with it under education. In my opinion,it is better to include the B.eng.Thanks. I was hoping you would advise me not to. In any case, I had earlier requested for my transcripts to be forwarded to WES. I just cringe at the thought of the duration it will take for the whole process to be completed, knowing what FUTY is. Keep up the good work though. |
Greetings great people, I have a little nagging question and I am hoping someone cast away my doubts. I am applying for the FSWP and claiming points under an MSc I bagged in a UK institution but with a BEng from FUTY. I have already received my MSc evaluation report thinking it should be enough but a friend insisted I need to have my BEng evaluated as well. I read somewhere in the guidance that one should submit an ECA report for the qualification one is claiming max points on. Question is, do I still need to forward my BEng transcript for evaluation or should the MSc suffice, bearing in mind they were obtained from different countries. Cheers |
estadypes: Hello remyoshi, if you haven't found a way to ship to nigeria yet you can join with me, I ship in goods from china also, and I get them at my door. If you would like to combine, you can send me the address you would like your goods to be delivered to in nigeria and I'l deliver for you upon receivingHi estadypes, I have got a few items i was hoping to ship from China. They are not enough for me pack em in a container. I seem to like your crowd-sourcing idea. If you can get back to me on how the whole thing is meant to work, I will appreciate it. |

justwise:Thanks justwise. I've picked out like 2 days in each month from my call history that indicated my calls to my wife's number and sent it down to her. Also included a few of our chats in yahoo (about 10 pages) and a few pictures we snapped with family during our wedding, though we didn't really have a reception (distance/culture) so the pictures aren't those official 'couples in a reception' photos. She will hopefully reapply again tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks once again. |
Thanks justwise. I really appreciate it. The problem is I've never really emailed her. We mostly talk on phone, skype or chat on yahoo. I'm trying to sort out my call history by printing from the mobile provider's website. I don't know how authentic they will view that, cos i can't think of any other means of getting my call history. And it's even more baffling how I will get my skype or yahoo chat history. Pls help with any advise. We just don't want to be denied again. The effect will be very devastating. Thanks once again Bro |
Hi guys, nice work you've got goin on here. I just have an urgent question. My wife just got denied an entry visa to the UK as a Dependant on the ground that our marriage certificate wasn't satisfactory and she didn't supply our wedding pictures, pictures of me here in UK, or communication we've had all through the period i've been here (Emails or call records). As I understand, I can appeal or re-apply. My question is, is it advisable that we appeal? If I supply all the pictures and print out my mobile call history, is dat sufficient to have them overturn their initial decision? What are the chances that might happen, and how much time will that take? And if we decide to pay and reapply, won't the initial denial count against us? If I may add, the evidence of marriage we submitted was a Declaration of Marriage from a high court in Abuja, cos we didn't do a court wedding. Pls, any urgent advice on this matter will be greatly appreciated as I'd love for her to reapply/appeal tomorrow. Thanks guys |

funkybaby:Lets just say it has to do with my faith. So, any take on that? |
Nice work you guys are doing here. Please keep it up. I do have a slight issue. I'll be traveling for my studies in UK next month God-willing, and i hope to have my wife join me once i'm settled. The issue is she hasn't changed her name and i don't intend to have her change it. i have my reasons. Thing is, i wonder if that might be a problem with the Visa people when she applies for one. We've gotten marriage certificate and all, but i want to be sure if the name-changing issue could be a reason for them to deny her a visa. Thanks guys |
But come to think of it, se this Kajola film no get Part 1 and 2 abi? If that's the case, dem really try. Thumbs up. |
OMEGA, I feel u die. Yeah, some might view your opinion/criticism as a being nonconstructive/subjective, but i understand where all the anger is coming from. Nollywood (God knows I've always detested that name) directors/producers always tend to take the Nigerian viewers for fools. One would have thought that by now, things would change. But alas, its the same ol shit. Shots get fired on a group of hooligans in a car, someone inside dies but there are no broken glasses, police chases are always characterized by swerves from left right (i wonder what the effect of that is), predictable stunts, Hell, how about the every producer trying to copy 20th Century Fox's opening montage with the beam lights and all, and yet failing miserably on sumtin that was done in the 70s, or is it even earlier? I honestly want to see Nigerian movies grow, what with the wide audience DSTV is creating for us on Africa magic, the hausa and yoruba versions as well. There's a lot of room for improvement, a whole lot, and we should have focused on that rather than leaping into a territory that we know next to nothing about and making us looking badder than we already are. I saw the Kajola trailer, and boy, was I mortified? Maybe by 2059, we just might be able to afford to blow up a 504 car for stunts sake. |
@Poster, if u were my wife and u spoke the kind of english you used to make your post in public, of course that qualifies for a RASE HAND AND SLAP AFFAIR. No offense mate. |
It's ridiculous comparing the two. 9ja movies are just not it. Chief among my problems with them is how they take their viewers for granted. They don't carry out any research on what they do. I also doubt if they have any scriptwriter write professional scripts for them. The way they speak, you could guess they only get a role and are told to act it. I mean, i could go on and on about very poorly researched, poorly written, poorly produced and directed Nigerian flicks. No wonder when countries in Africa get nominated for the Academies, Nigeria has never come close to been on that list. And the most annoying of Nigerian flicks is how they get to divide the films into 2, 3 or 4 parts when it can all be fitted into 1 part. To God be the glory sha, there are a few stand out films from Nigeria, they just aren't much compared to the load of CRAP we keep getting fed everyday. And please don't even go to the Fetish, occult Yoruba videos or the silly man, woman dancing, no romance Hausa videos. By and large, you keep watching those 9ja crap, you are guaranteed to turn into a slowpoke by 40. |

Huh? Dude |
Dude, i dont think u r gonna see much in the package. Besides, i believe every region has a different package so it depends on which region the psp is shipped for. A sure way to tell is to check the manual coz there's always a list of items included. But i believe mine came with these: 1. The PSP unit itself 2. One Battery 3. One charging adapter 4. One UMD (Fired Up - got it in Dubai) I guess dats all (No memory card, no USB cable) I'll advice u buy a 2 or 4GB memory card, a USB cable, a pouch (which comes with a strap) and, (well, this is the much i can think of now) Have fun dude. PSP is cool. |
Nice one guys. I have a lil issue with my Psp slim running 3.90 M33-2. It plays games rather slowly. It used to act that way when i was running 0n 3.80 M33-2, then i upgraded to the current CFW i'm now using. All seemed to work well until a few days later when it started running a lil slow again. I was playing Burnout and all was swell, now the takedown animations take a while to show. Same goes for GTA LCS. The speech seems to go out of sync with the video actions (in cut scenes). Anyone has any idea? By the way, does anyone have a PSP Fat battery he wants to sell? |
