No need for all this. Dija is indomie generation and may not really understand the history behind the term.
The lyrics are not derogatory in any way. It's actually a hausa babe celebrating her Igbo guy |

AreaFada2: Let's say inflation has doubled the price you paid in 2013 from 2k to 4k in 2020.
Still way cheaper than business class Lagos to Ibadan at 5k.
But they Said Jonathan didn't do anything. No single thing on ground. No Fed universities, no trains, no hundreds of almajiri schools, no TSA, no fertilise e-wallet, new better Lagos-Benin Road, nothing.
Zombies still swear by it despite paying 3,500 for a bag of cement as we speak. I forgot, most are almajiri and urchins. They have no business with cement or traveling on trains sef. They have a covenant with suffering That route is grounded. I tried to go by train back to Minna from Lagos last year and was told that the tracks needs repairs so and they couldn't tell me when it would be fixed. Maybe 2022 |

Politics › Re: Why Do The Igbos Refuse To Go Into Manufacturing? by nku5: 6:07pm On Dec 03, 2020 |
Aconomist: Dangote was sponsored by Obasanjo who is not a Northerner. In fact, if you look at Dangote's investment pattern, you will see that he is a fully committed Lagosian and doesn't care much for his origin in Kano. Almost all his core investments are in the South West. He even decided to move his refinery to Lekki -- 300 miles away from any oil or gas source. If that is not a real lagosian, who is?
Even a core Northerner like Rabiu knew to make is refinery near the gas in Akwa Ibom. Dangote brought his to Lagos to please his sponsors Dangote was not "sponsored" in the conventional sense of the word by Obasanjo but he was a god-son like Elumelu & others and enjoyed policy favouritism. In purely naira and kobo terms, he is an investment vehicle of the northern establishment today. |
Politics › Re: Why Do The Igbos Refuse To Go Into Manufacturing? by nku5: 6:01pm On Dec 03, 2020 |
Aconomist: Ibeto is not serious. He has been "planning" to build a cement factory for over five years with zero progress. His business model is to import bulk cement and then bag it under the label " Ibeto Cement" it's pathetic. Can we really blame the Federal Government for that?
The plant in Nkalagu is Nigercem, which I believe is moribund state-owned business. Dangote used to import until the FG gave him the platform to go into production. Give other importers the same advantages and they will become producers as well. Dangote despite all the advantages the company enjoys, were fighting Ibeto cement in court few years ago |
Politics › Re: Why Do The Igbos Refuse To Go Into Manufacturing? by nku5: 5:40pm On Dec 03, 2020 |
RedPanthar: Ibeto was killed by FG for fulani/hausa advantage. Everyone knows that na Erisco Foods invested plenty of billions in tomato pasta production but because of Dangote's interest in the business they frustrated him out of Nigeria. He's taken his business to another African country |
Politics › Re: Why Do The Igbos Refuse To Go Into Manufacturing? by nku5: 5:31pm On Dec 03, 2020 |
Aconomist: That's true. I've seen it. But, there are very few Igbo businessmen manufacturing on an industrial scale like Dangote and BUA Group are doing. For almost two decades (since Obasanjo) the entire Nigerian policy framework has been tailored around Dangote's business. It's also not a secret that his business is the arrow-head of northern business interests. If Innoson or Ibeto had that type of monstrous backup from FG and region they would take over the African market. Rather there've been deliberate policy shifts to slow them down. But doesn't Ibeto produce cement at the Nkalagu plant? |

Terrorists do not deny attacks they commit. The aim of a terrorist is to terrorise and let people know that they did it. Obviously common sense is not common in Nigerians One day is one day, Wike will have to bring concrete evidence that IPOB in Oyigbo were the ones responsible for killing security agents. He will stand in front of a panel and explain why he unleashed the army and local polticians to go and point out young men for the soldiers to shoot . This phantom IPOB story will not fly at the ICC

Bkayyy: No don't say that. Go and read Chinua Achebe's there was a country and see where he was also pointed out as an Igbo man to be killed by his yoruba neighbors in Lagos. He had to hide in his container at the back of his house before smuggling himself down to east. But worst people that wished extinction on Ndigbo was actually the Ijaw, ikwerre and Ogoni. That is why I will continue seeing IPOB as the greatest fools walking on the surface of Earth. Men of limited reasoning, half simpletons and chronic fools I'm not saying yoruba were perfect but they did better than eastern minorities in general. When your own neighbour sells you out it's heavier in weight |
