New Eagles invitee Adi aims to beat goals record https://africanfootball.com/bp_images/2016/03/Samm_11_Dec_2.jpg Fanendo Adi goes for goal for Portland Timbers in the MLS Super Eagles new invitee Fenando Adi has expressed his willingness to score more than the 19 goals he scored last season as the Major League Soccer (MLS) 2016 season kicks off this weekend. “I don't have goal targets,” said the big striker of champions Portland Timbers. “Hopefully, I can beat the [numbers] I had last year. I'm going to work hard...I'm just going to try and score and win for the team.” “I'm preparing very hard for it and working really hard,” he said of what he hopes will be a very successful 2016 season. “Of course, I always try to use my body and try to win for the team. That's very important. “I just need to focus on the things I can do and that's just to use my body well, play well, do what I have to do to help the team win.” Adi, 25, was Thursday handed his first Eagles call-up by caretaker coach Samson Siasia for two AFCON qualifiers against Egypt later this month. http://africanfootball.com/news/616399/New-Eagles-invitee-Adi-aims-to-beat-goals-record |
Mikel: Coach Siasia, you have my support https://africanfootball.com/bp_images/2016/03/1utii7r2uigpo1di03nhtf471a.jpg Chelsea Midfielder Mikel Obi by Samm Audu Chelsea star Mikel Obi has called up Nigeria caretaker coach Samson Siasia to pledge his total support ahead of all-important AFCON qualifiers against Egypt later this month. A top source close to Siasia informed AfricanFootball.com that Mikel has already phoned the coach to vow his total support in the wake of the resignation of Sunday Oliseh. “Mikel called Siasia and pledged his full support,” disclosed the source. The 28-year-old Chelsea midfielder was sensationally dropped to the bench by Oliseh when Nigeria beat Swaziland 2-0 in a 2018 World Cup qualifier last year. As Eagles vice-captain, he was widely expected to be named Eagles coach by Oliseh after Vincent Enyeama’s dramatic exit from the Super Eagles, but in the end Ahmed Musa was handed the captain’s armband. Mikel’s relationship with Siasia has blown hot and cold. He was one of the stars when Siasia led the country to reach the final of the 2005 FIFA U20 World Cup in the Netherlands. However, the coach overlooked him for the 2008 Beijing Olympics after he stayed away from the qualifying tournament for the summer games. http://africanfootball.com/news/616395/Mikel-Coach-Siasia-you-have-my-support |
Scared of Egypt? No way says Eagles new boy Adi https://africanfootball.com/bp_images/2016/03/Samm_15_Octobre_1_580x472.jpg Fanen Adi by Samm Audu New Eagles invitee Fanendo Adi has said Nigeria do not have any reason to be intimidated by seven-time African champions Egypt when they clash in AFCON 2017 qualifiers later this month. Nigeria and Egypt will square up home and away from March 25 as the qualifying tournament for AFCON 2017 gathers steam. Portland Timbers forward Adi has said despite the fluctuating fortunes of the Super Eagles, Nigeria have every reason to be confident of victory against the Pharaohs. “The fact that Nigeria have been up and down does not mean we should be scared of Egypt,” he insisted. “If we come together and play for the team, we will win.” This is the first-ever Eagles call-up for the 25-year-old Adi, who has also played in Slovakia, Ukraine and Denmark. He said he is excited with the chance and hopes to bring value to the three-time African champions. “The opportunity has come and I’m very excited,” said Adi, who further said because of the time difference between Nigeria and the United States of America he was woken up from sleep by his brother-in-law in Nigeria to be informed he has been invited by the Eagles. “I want to contribute to the team. I’m a team player, I can use my size (he is 6 feet 5 inches), I’m a target forward. I will do my best for the team.” http://africanfootball.com/news/616443/Scared-of-Egypt-No-way-says-Eagles-new-boy-Adi |

The forward linked up with the Blues from Nigeria Professional Football League side Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure last month, but his debut was delayed due to the non issuance of his International Transfer Certificate. The former Rising Stars player played his first game for Levski on Wednesday against Montana, featuring in the last 15 minutes of the encounter played at the Georgi Asparuhov Stadium, Sofia which ended in a barren draw. He told Completesportsnigeria.com that he is relieved to have finally played his first official game for the club "I'm happy to be able to get on the pitch for the first time for my new club," he told Completesportsnigeria.com. "It was difficult to sit out our last two games due to the ITC issue, but I'm happy everything has been sorted out now. "I was keen to make it a memorable debut by getting a goal, but it's still okay that we didn't lose the game. "I hope to do better in our next game on Saturday." Chikatara: My Ultimate Target Is European League After Wydad https://i2.wp.com/www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/image-5.jpeg?w=1024 By Izuchukwu Okosi: Super Eagles striker, Chisom Chikatara, has exclusively revealed to Completesportsnigeria.com that his move to Moroccan side, Wydad Casablanca, is a stopgap measure before he joins Nigeria's legion of Europe-based stars. Chikatara was unveiled by the Moroccan side this week after a protracted transfer speculation and the former Abia Warriors forward on Thursday bared his mind on the new chapter in his career after signing a three-year contract. "Wydad is a big club in Morocco. I'm humbled by the fact that such a club showed interest in my service," the player affectionately called 'The Kolanut Boy' told Completesportsnigeria.com. "Talks had been on for sometime. However, my target is to play for just one season then move to an European league from here. This is just the stepping stone although I am honoured to be here. If they didn't value me, they wouldn't have come for me. "There's no particular club or league in mind at the moment honestly, but all the same, I want to go to Europe sometime in the near future." Chikatara could make his debut appearance for Wydad Casablanca in the Morrocan Botola Pro League on Saturday against RSB Berkane. Chikatara's new club are currently topping the Morrocan league table with 35 points from 18 matches. Wydad Casablanca, founded in 1937, play its matches at the 67,000 capacity Stade Mohamed V. The club, known as the 'Rouges et Blancs' is coached by Welsh manager, John Toshack. http://www.completesportsnigeria.com/chikatara-ultimate-target-european-league-wydad/ |
5 Immediate Challenges Facing Siasia As Super Eagles Interim Coach https://i0.wp.com/www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/image-2.jpeg?w=1712 The melo-drama that saw the exit of Sunday Oliseh as Super Eagles coach is gradually calming down, and it's time to get on with business of mapping out a strategy to beat Egypt home and away later this month. Siasia's appointment on an interim basis comes at a vital moment, as NFF look to salvage Nigeria’s ticket in the 2017 AFCON qualification race and its unlikely he will ring massive changes immediately and risk rocking the boat. Completesportsnigeria.com’s JOHNNY EDWARD highlights five immediate challenges facing the incoming interim Super Eagles coach. 1. REPOSITIONING THE SUPER EAGLES It's time to make the Super Eagles popular again. So much hard work had been done by the former coach, Sunday Oliseh, according to him, wherein the team suffered two defeats in 14 games, scoring 19 goals and conceding just six and climbing up three spots on the FIFA Ranking in his eight months in charge of the team. Oliseh's vulnerability saw him endure a testy relationship with the media, while his authoritarian approach brought his side to the brink of Nations Cup qualification before the double header crucial tie against Egypt. Siasia is an exponent of attacking football and he is aalso a savvy media operator. These traits will be crucial to returning the Super Eagles to the heart's and minds of the public once more. 2. RESOLUTION OF INTERNAL CRISIS Siasia will step into his first training camp with open eyes ready to assess the situation and lay down a mantra to address what he sees as the flaws in the fold he is walking into. Siasia has to heal the alleged deep divisions within the dressing room and quickly. We must see these players play for themselves, as a unit in the subsequent games. 3. MAKING TOUGH DECISIONS Siasia has shown overtime with the various teams he has managed that he's not afraid of making the tough decisions and is more than prepared to usher in or flush out the old guards when necessary. Rash decisions won't be made, but the camp ahead of the visit of Egypt will be a crucial first step in re-shaping the newlook team. The likes of Isaac Success, Brown Ideye and Kingsley Madu, Sone Aluko, Raheem Lawal and John Ogu are in great form for their respective teams and have all been reported to be considered good for the squad against Egypt. 4. GOOD TEAM SELECTION Once Siasia runs the rule over the incumbents, his job, along with Emmanuel Amuneke, is to see who can do a better job than who we have. Will Ogu who has scored thrice in 21 games for Hapoel Beer Sheva good enough to strengthen the Eagles midfield. Can Kelechi Iheanacho sparklein the NO.10 role or will more seasoned defenders like Kenneth Omeruo, Godfrey Oboabona be considered for the game? Can Isaac Success make a fist of international football in Eagles attack or on the wings as he is played at Granada? 5. SUPER EAGLES CAPTAINCY ISSUE Siasia is the man charged with restoring this side, so who will captain the side if Enyeama does return to the fold? Will Musa carry on or handover? Will a new appointment be made or another voting process again like the one held in Belgium in September? Importantly, those decisions will be made with a couple of important objectives. This won't all happen over the next fortnight. But it's the first step. http://www.completesportsnigeria.com/5-immediate-challenges-facing-siasia-super-eagles-interim-coach/ |
Siasia names U23 stars for AFCON qualifiers https://mtnfootball.com/bp_images/2016/03/Samm_6_Dec_2.jpg Nigeria U23 skipper Azubuike Okechukwu Nigeria caretaker coach Samson Siasia has named the country’s U23 skipper Azubuike Okechukwu and Usman Mohammed for this month’s AFCON qualifiers against Egypt. Turkey-based Okechukwu led Nigeria to win the U23 AFCON in Senegal in December with Siasia in charge. He was named MVP of the tournament, which also doubled as a qualifier for the 2016 Rio Olympics. The defensive midfielder has been severally called up to the full international squad by Stephen Keshi. The other U23 star on the list for the Egypt games is midfielder Usman Mohammed, who only recently finalized his move to Portugal. Victor Moses returns to Eagles for Egypt showdown https://africanfootball.com//bp_images/2016/03/Victor_Moses_Manchester_Cit.jpg Victor Moses (right) is back to the Super Eagles by Samm Audu Chelsea forward Victor Moses has been recalled by Nigeria for two crunch AFCON 2017 qualifiers against Egypt this month, AfricanFootball.com has again scooped Victor Moses, who is on a season-long loan at West Ham, has not played for his country for more than a year including the eight-month reign of former coach Sunday Oliseh. Injuries have been a major reason behind his absence from the team. Former Eagles coach Oliseh had planned to visit the forward in London before his shock resignation, but even he raised concerns over the fitness of the gifted player. Moses was one of the stars when Nigeria won a third AFCON title in South Africa three years ago. Caretaker coach Siasia could not cap the player in his first spell as Eagles coach because his change of international allegiance did not come through. Siasia has also called up England-based youngsters Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi for the AFCON qualifiers against Egypt. http://africanfootball.com/news/616231/Victor-Moses-returns-to-Eagles-for-Egypt-showdown |
Why Rasheed Olabiyi was released by Houston Dynamo https://africanfootball.com//bp_images/2016/03/Samm_23_August_1.jpg Olabiyi (right) during his time at Houston Dynamo The inability of Houston Dynamo to secure green cards for two other foreign players on their roster cost Nigeria midfielder Rasheed Olabiyi his place in the team, AfricanFootball.com can exclusively report. The club tried their best to see that the documents were secured to let them keep former Enyimba and Shooting Stars ace Rasheed Olabiyi, who did well in his first season with the club in 2015, but didn't work out. "The club were under immense pressure from the league office due to the number of foreigners in the team. When we signed Rasheed (Olabiyi), we were in the process and expecting two of our players to receive green cards in order to have space for him on our roster in 2016, which our attorney anticipated would be no issue,” disclosed a source close to the club. “For some reason the process has been delayed. At the end of last week the league said that we have to get roster compliant with foreigners right away. “Unfortunately, Rasheed was the one player on our roster who was effected by these circumstances because his contract was semi-guaranteed. I feel terrible about it because I'm close with him but we had to make this move and waive him. He is currently on MLS waivers and available for free to all MLS teams." The camp will open in Abuja before it moves to Kaduna, where Nigeria will welcome seven-time champions Egypt on March 25, before they fly out to the reverse clash in Alexandria on March 29 night. This latest proposal for the camp to open earlier than a plan by former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh to get going two weeks to the match in Kaduna is expected to be endorsed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical committee, when they meet in Abuja on Thursday. However, it is left to be seen whether the home-based players called up for the Egypt matches will be excused to feature for their clubs in league matches thereafter. Nigeria are expected to announce a squad made up of players from the home league and foreign pros on Thursday after a deliberation by the technical committee. NFF technical director Shuaibu Amodu met with caretaker coaches Samson Siasia and Salisu Yusuf on Tuesday in Abuja to draw up a squad list. Emmanuel Amuneke, the third member in the Eagles consortium of coaches, was not present as he was back at his base in Spain. http://africanfootball.com/news/615973/Nigeria-open-training-camp-for-Egypt-showdown-Sunday |

The 24-year-old best before now was netting 13 goals for Bury in 2010/2011 season. The ex-Manchester United player has played for several teams in England namely Peterborough United, Chesterfield Town, Crawley, Scunthorpe, Leeds United and Crewe. NFF technical committee a bully - ex-NFF chiefs https://africanfootball.com//bp_images/2016/03/Samm_28_Sept_3_580x473.jpg Keshi - NFF technical committee made sure they pushed out 'Big Boss' by Samm Audu The technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been described as “a source of destabilization” in the country’s football and they have only succeeded in bullying and sacking national team coaches. Former top NFF officials Charles Ojugbana and Austin Mgbolu raised serious concerns over the technical committee headed by Chris Green, saying the committee is one of the problems facing football in Nigeria. “This group of people (technical committee) has hijacked football in the country. They have bullied and even sacked coaches who have gone against them,” said former NFF spokesman Mgbolu on a television discussion programme this week. “They made sure they pushed out Stephen Keshi and now it is Oliseh. “They have had overbearing influence and have shown they are a source of destabilization. “This is a committee that should be dominated by technical experts with proven track record, not just somebody who will analyse the match between Arsenal and Manchester United.” Ojugbana, who rose to be deputy general secretary of the NFF, also echoed a similar position, while arguing that the NFF have totally mismanaged the appointment and subsequent resignation of Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh. “Oliseh was hailed as ‘Pep Guardiola of Africa’ when he was appointed. But his resume did not back such a claim and his appointment was mismanaged,” he said. http://africanfootball.com/news/616210/NFF-technical-committee-a-bully-ex-NFF-chiefs cc: Icon4s, Joseph1013, TheSuperNerd, Bascovanveli, Forgiveness, Terzurum5, Tbaba1234, Krattos, Blackalbino6, Orkpekyandega, TheGoodJoe, Enomakos, and all other stakeholders not mentioned. Are slams Pinnick over foreign coach plan https://www.punchng.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Pinnick3.jpg Nigeria Football Federation Chairman, Amaju Pinnick Olufemi Atoyebi Chairman of Kakanfo Inn and Conference Centre, Dr. Lekan Are, has frowned against the plan by the Nigeria Football Federation to bring in a foreign coach to replace Sunday Oliseh, who resigned as Eagles coach recently. NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, announced that there would be no more indigenous coach for the Super Eagles after Oliseh’s resignation while also naming coach of the U-23 team, Samson Siasia as the Eagles interim coach. Are, who also advised Siasia to reject the offer, said unless the NFF was restructured, genuine stakeholders would continue to chase shadows. He warned that the Eagles might fail against Egypt in the next Nations Cup qualifier, calling on Siasia to beware of the trap ahead of him. He said, “I was shocked when I read it but I was not surprised because I knew that the NFF was just acting a script. They had a plan before firing Stephen Keshi unjustly and brought in Oliseh, even though he had no cognate experience to handle the job. I did not comment on Oliseh’s performance before but now, I have no doubt in my mind that Oliseh was the wrong man for the job. “With the way Oliseh left, NFF president Pinnick should have resigned if he was a decent man because he brought Oliseh. I am disappointed that they are looking for a foreign coach. The NFF is the problem of football in Nigeria and unless we restructure it and get the right people in, the actual stakeholders will be chasing shadows. If we need a foreign coach, then we equally need a foreigner to be the NFF president. They should learn on the job and improve.” Are said Nigeria was blessed with good coaches to manage the Eagles but added that the NFF had always worked against the success of the home-based coaches. “We have coaches who can manage the national team successfully if they are given a chance. Our problem is that immediately we get a coach, the NFF begins to set impossible targets when they have not equipped him properly. We have been having fire brigade approach. Siasia should not have accepted the Eagles job. Maybe he is being brought in so that he can fail because there is no time for him to prepare for the Egypt match. He should think twice before going along with the NFF plan, more so that it is been said that he is only a stop gap arrangement before a foreign coach is hired.” http://www.punchng.com/are-slams-pinnick-over-foreign-coach-plan/ |
Nwosu Frowns on Move to Hire Foreign Coach https://leadersandco.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/27052835/Samson-Siasia-696x435.jpg Olawale Ajimotokan in Abuja Super Eagles legend Henry Nwosu on Tuesday kicked at the stealth move by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to hire a foreign technical adviser. Two days ago, NFF President Amaju Pinnick, announced that the federation was negotiating with a foreign coach to oversee the national team after the unpalatable experience with Sunday Oliseh, who ditched the Eagles few weeks before a crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt. Former Rwanda coach Sredojevic Milutin on Tuesday emerged as the mystery foreigner on NFF’s wish list with strong hints indicating that the one called ‘Micho’, who is the current coach of Uganda, might take up appointment next month after the double-header against Egypt. In any event he is appointed, it would mark the first time a foreign coach would be heading the technical crew of Nigeria since Lars Lagerback of Sweden led the Eagles to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Nwosu, a member of the effervescent national team of 1980, voiced objection to a foreign coach for the national team. The former Eagles captain felt foreigners are no better than the indigenous coaches. “I have no objection if NFF think they can afford a foreign coach but why I am not in total support of such plan is that we have indigenous coaches with proven antecedent to realise our objectives of securing Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup slots for the national team,” Nwosu insisted. The Gateway of Abeokuta gaffer wanted NFF to make Samson Siasia, Emmanuel Amuneke, Salisu Yusuf and Alloy Agu as the Eagles long-term coaches, with Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, Shaibu Amodu or Christian Chukwu only acting in advisory capacity. He reasoned that time is too short for Siasia, saying his fate should not be contingent on the outcome of the tough fixtures against Egypt. “Siasia and Amuneke have proven themselves as young coaches. We can rely on them with any of the older generation coaches like Onigbinde, Amodu or Keshi in the background as advisers. Our home ground coaches are capable if they are supported. Even Keshi proved himself when he handled the team. His only offence was that they did not like his gut,” Nwosu said. He advised NFF to rebound from the hangover caused by the disaffection with Oliseh, saying the distraction should be a thing of the past. “The raging crisis should not undermine us Egypt. Oliseh is not a good coach. You are a good coach when you respond to pressure, not when you are suppressed by tension”. http://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/03/02/nwosu-frowns-on-move-to-hire-foreign-coach/ |

The Lille goalkeeper was picked as the goalkeeper for the Week 24 Team by the football body. Enyeama has been in impressive form for the club this season helping them to stay 15th in the French Ligue 1. It was the first time Enyeama has made the FIFA 16 Ultimate Team of the Week and the 33-year-old was presented with the plaque on Tuesday. The former Nigeria captain, who is the first Nigerian to make the Team of the Week, expressed his happiness on Instagram, “This is how goodness and mercy will follow you all this month of March. First day of the month; FIFA got me a trophy for hard work, dedication, success. Merci @FIFA. I want to wish everyone reading this message a wonderful month of March. God did it for me. God will do it for us.” Enyeama made the team along with defenders Jetro Willems of PSV, Miguel Layún of FC Porto, Miranda of Inter Milan and Morales of Levante UD. The midfielders in the team are Mahmoud Dahoud of Borussia M’gladbach, Thomas Müller of Bayern München and Hans Vanaken of Club Brugge. The strikers are Carlos Tévez of Boca Juniors, Edin Džeko of AS Roma and Zlatan Ibrahimović of Paris Saint-Germain. http://www.punchng.com/fifa-plaque-excites-enyeama/ |
NFF launches Operation Defeat Egypt Pius Ayinor https://www.punchng.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/NFF.jpg The Nigeria Football Federation has launched what it calls Operation Defeat Egypt as the Super Eagles prepare for the two-legged 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification tie. The first leg is billed for March 25 in Kaduna. The Vice-President of the NFF, Seyi Akinwunmi, told reporters in Lagos on Tuesday that the federation was determined to beat the Egyptians in Kaduna and in Cairo and as such would work extra hard to achieve that goal. He stated that the NFF had every reason to believe the target was achievable. He said, “This is the present pre-occupation of the federation for now. This is no time for politicking or dwelling in the past. We are asking all Nigerians to join forces with the federation to defeat the visiting Egyptians. “We have a singular objective now, which is to defeat Egypt in order to guarantee the Super Eagles a place at the next AFCON.’’ The Chairman of the Technical Committee of the federation, Mr. Chris Green, who was also present, said a list of players to make the squad would be unveiled in Abuja on Thursday. He said over 50 players have been in touch with the NFF concerning the crucial clash. “The Technical Committee will ratify the list to be presented by the coaching crew. We do not have the luxury of time on our side,” Green said. Green told reporters that caretaker coach, Samson Siasia, has been empowered along with his crew to go all out for the players to don the national colours for the match. “He has been provided a car and other things he needs to perform well. He and his staff will be working directly with the Technical Director of the federation, Shaibu Amodu.” He said a committee had since been working in Kaduna in a bid to ensure a hitch-free match. He told journalists the committee was working in every aspect concerning the venue of the game to ensure things ran smoothly. The second leg would hold in Cairo on March 29. Egypt currently tops Group G with six points from two matches, followed by Nigeria with four points from same number of matches. Nigeria started the campaign with a win over Chad in Kaduna but managed a goalless outing in Dar es Salaam against Tanzania. http://www.punchng.com/nff-launches-operation-defeat-egypt/ |
Super Eagles: Nigerians want indigenous coaches instead of foreigners Lagos – Some football fans on Tuesday in Lagos urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to reconsider its decision not to hire indigenous coaches to manage the senior national team, Super Eagles. The fans spoke against the backdrop of the statement “No more Nigerian coaches for Super Eagles’’, credited to the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, on Sunday. They said instead, the NFF should develop local coaches to meet global standards. A commercial bus driver, Yusuf Jasmin, said the Eagles needed a coach that could understand the players and not necessarily a foreigner that did not know how to handle them. “We have been going back and forth for decades on bettering football in the country and till date we do not have a clue on how to tackle the issue. “I still don’t understand why a fellow Nigerian is not seen as fit for the coaching position of our national team and we want to turn to the whites that are racist. “We need someone who will understand our players and not a white coach that will come and create more problems for the team,’’ he said. An athlete, Efe Osaruwa, accused the NFF of causing confusion for the Eagles by not allowing the appropriate authorities to carry out their duties without distraction. “A lot can be said about the NFF but the most important now in respect of this issue is the fact that they disguise themselves as advisers but truly are causing confusion. If you recall that before Shuaibu Amodu and his team, the NFF employed Bonfre Jo, Philip Trousiere and others who were foreign nationals that were pushed off the post too. “Does this mean that with the battalion of coaches the national team has had, no one can be singled out as proficient? “We have been pointing fingers at the wrong place but it is now clear that the NFF and its leadership are to blame for our setback,’’ he said. Another fan, Adekunle Aremu, a final year student of LASPOTECH, said leadership of the NFF should be queried for not keeping to the promise made to coaches when they are hired. “It is corruption that has been our problem in the team. “Monies are not paid in due time to players and the technical team because someone is probably sitting on what does not belong to him. “If we must achieve results in the Super Eagles, NFF should be probed and its leadership changed. “The president should declare a state of emergency in football or else we won’t be able to achieve anything in the next few qualifiers and competitions ahead of us,’’ he said. According to him, the Super Eagles have lost great coaches due to breach of contracts and it should be dealt with by the NFF leadership. NFF has insisted on having expatriates to head the technical crews of the various national teams, but the back-room staff would still be headed by the indigenous coaches. Sunday Oliseh, former coach of the team had last Friday announced his resignation on his Twitter handle. Oliseh cited the inability of the NFF to honour the terms of his contract as part of his reasons for quitting the job. “Due to contract violations, lack of support, unpaid wages, benefits to my players, assistant coaches and myself, I resign as Super Eagles Chief Coach,’’ he tweeted. Oliseh whose appointment was made with much fanfare by the NFF, soon started having problems with the NFF executive over remuneration, match tactics and results. olapluto: That's what we are saying. As far as I am concerned, Oparanozie has dully lost her starting slot in the national team, if we can for once go by merit. |
TheSuperNerd: Yes I will, its high time we begin to shop for younger and hungrier forwards since Oparanozie has continued without the needed Desire. Can you tell me one complete dribble she made during the last World Cup? She finds it difficult to cause serious damage to opposing defenders. |

Am tired of Oparanozie that lacks the strong Desire to score goals especially against non African oppositions. Anthony Ujah Issues Battle Cry To Werder Bremen Teammates To Pick Up Points https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/21732Ujah.jpg Anthony Ujah has admitted that Werder Bremen’s 2-2 draw with Darmstadt this past weekend did not help their fight against relegation and reckons that the team must not drop points in future matches in their battle to stay afloat. Eleven matches before the end of this season, Werder are three points from safety having garnered 21 points and have a tricky fixture against Bayer Leverkusen in two days time. “Relegation battles are always tough. The character of the team and of each individual plays a big role in these situations,”Ujah told werder.de. “It’s important that we stick together as a team and not lose our spirit. “We won’t travel to Leverkusen to somehow sneak away with a draw. We have to collect points in every game from now on.” Anthony Ujah netted for the ninth time in the Bundesliga this season against Darmstadt. http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=18075 |
Losciuto: I paid my hotel bills https://thenationonlineng.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Jean-Francois-Losciuto.jpg •NFF owes me six months salary Former assistant Coach of the Super Eagles, Jean Francois Losciuto has told footballlive.ng that he only got two months pay on the job, without bonus, accommodation and paid his hotel bills from personal money under the employment of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Losciuto, who apparently quit the Nigeria national team with Sunday Oliseh, who resigned on Thursday after seven months on the job, said he was treated unfairly by the NFF He disclosed that the NFF only paid his July and August salaries and he had to depend on his wife and the chief coach for his upkeep. In January Losciuto underwent surgery after reports said he injected a small metal while eating but suffered a relapse from that stomach pain and had to be flown to Belgium for further attention. Losciuto has threatened to drag the the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to FIFA for breach of contract as he revealed he is owed salaries, bonuses and allowance to the tune of $100,000 since the termination of his contract. Losciuto, who maintains he signed a three-year contract with the NFF said he has tried severally to reach the federation over the salary but to no avail. The Belgian has blamed some ‘bad people’ in the Football house for the impasse over his entitlements. http://thenationonlineng.net/losciuto-i-paid-my-hotel-bills/ |

juman:If sophisticated arms can come into this country through the Ports then, it becomes much more easier for it to be conveyed through the helicopter. Another easiest means is through Ambulances. Let me open your eyes the more. Do you remember when some foreigners were arrested for carrying arms other weapons into Nigeria? What else have you heard about this same probe. That tells you that the matter has been swept under the carpet because the strong Fulani men involved were above Nigeria and the laws of the land. That is why Buhari can not order for their arrest as he did in the case of Tompolo, Kanu and others. www.nairaland.com/attachments/3447739_cdatausersdefappsappdatainternetexplorertempsavedimages3446929babaonechancejpeg35e28d3069342f002e2375686d289a8d_jpegab2a56c7970910f17de533938e74b622 APC = WE HAVE BEEN SCAMMED.
