Hello All. Thanks so much for all the enlightening help here. I have a few questions please:

1. Is the TRV province or school specific? Can I get my TRV using an admission letter but go to another school in another province when I arriva Canada?

2. I would like to apply with my son (about 6 years old) - is there a disadvantage to this? Would it be better I get my visa first and apply for him later or would i be disadvantaged if I do them together. I have two other kids who I don't plan to take along.

3. If a Masters course id done partly online but is a full time course, would it qualify for a post graduate work certificate still? Part of the course is on campus but the rest of online

yes you don't need Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) because you are applying for spousal open work permit (SOWP) which does not require a job offer, LMIA is for job offer in canada. Follow Gymme advice

Hello ma, I understand that you school at the university of Ottawa. Their Meng program seem to be for 6 semesters,can I do my courses within 3 or 4 semesters? Is this possible?

On their website,they have their tuition to be about 8000 dollars,is this per semester or per year?

On 20th of June 2016
Medical call: 2nd July 2016
Medicals done: 8th of July
Medicals passed: I didn’t know when we passed the medicals bcuz I tried linking my account for weeks to no avail.
Approval mail: 9th September 2016

• Letter of Introduction/Consent from my wife
• Study permit she got at POE
• Wifes Data page
• Wifeys Canadian Visa Page
• Letter of support from the university , Stating my wife is a student there, fully funded and she needs her family (optional and it depends on your spouse HOD or skol, some don’t give)
• Unconditional letter of admission from the university.
• Photocopy of student id card
• Wifeys employment letter within the university
• Wifeys bank statement both Nigerian and Canadian

My passport is yet to reach VFS, despite my passport status which reads "Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office ACCRA on 17/08/2016 to the Canada Visa Application Centre". I have been a very silent follower on this thread but i would not feel complete if i do not share my testimony here with you guys to encourage you. I applied for my TRV on the 11th of July. Infact at a point i thought i wont be able to get my visa early enough for September. When i saw the processing time was 13weeks i laughed and told God that my visa would be approved latest August ending. I did not know God had earlier plans for me and to God be the Glory i checked my application today and saw that my visa had been approved.. Approximately 5weeks, A friend of mine got hers approved in 6 weeks. I applied for MEng.

Just want to give hope to all who are still waiting, PGD, PGC, MSC, MEng, it doesnt matter what it is called to God, If He says you will get it, you will. So just trust Him.

Please note that i made sure i included every document i could think of and i tried to do my homework by reading though the threads before applying. Please see below the documents i submitted:

lol. I don't want to derail the thread sha. Let's just say I used to be super duper Christian until I did a lot of curious reading on world history (starting from 2500 years ago), history of religions, history of the Bible's compilation (the Emperor Constantine's role in particular), evidence for Jesus' existence/resurrection, etc.

If you want to chat a lot more about this, you can send me a PM and we can talk more. Do keep in mind though that I know the Bible like mad! And when I was Christian I used to have so called "spiritual experiences" lol, but the "experiences" make more naturalistic sense to me now.

Unfortunately, you can't hide this information from the Canadian VIsa Officers. If you don't disclose it, they'll find out cause they share information with US. So be honest and transparent about your application. - LM

I recently got My Trv for a PGC protramm duration one year.. To follow with my masters for two years...
I applied with status married and my wife just gave borth to a baby girl this week.. I cant stay away from them for too long, and i would like to know how soon i can apply for Sowp for my wife. .. If i do, does it cover mt child too and how many hours would she be able to work while im studying.. Also whats the duration or validity period of the SOWP.
