AntiChristian:The history of America predates movies, doesn't it? If it is, gun has always been part of that history. And yes, juju came into movies because it was very much a part of our culture. You know something, while certain folks like castigating those who accepted western ideology, the truth is that human sacrifice is deeply embedded in our culture and who would publicly admit being a party to that in this modern age? |
I hate seeing this honestly. Africans have been battered by whites (from every part of the world without excluding Ukraine). Why not focus on how to build a solid continent instead of trying to please the white man. The African man is a free man not a slave nau? More than ever, this is the time African young men and women should build and develop their capacity. With a highly developed mind, Africans can deal with the crazy leaders that have kept the continent in shackles for long and in no time, we will prove to these Joneses that the African man is as fully developed and evolved as any other man from any where else. |
christejames:Nigeria is at least exporting human capital when it couldn't employ them because of terrible economic policies that empowers her neighbors at the expense of her industrious citizens. |
lordm:The same reason we couldn't have a functional refinery is the reason the money we make won't reflect on our economy even if we're making so much money. The Arab world is the one to really make more money now. Saudi Princes with more billions to waste around. |
AntiChristian:Your last premise and conclusion is so flawed. Guns or movies, which came into existence first? Most times, movies reflect what is going on in the society rather than the society adjusting to movies. Guns are popular in the Hollywood movies because they are popular in the US. Likewise, using juju is popular in our society and hence, popular in Nollywood. |
Sopedoc:Frying groundnut oil will be much better. |
saphiere:Tueh ...you think this is about women doing trial and errors? Tell me the countries led by women who have loudly and outstandingly condemned the war. It's not about men or women affairs, it's about the circle of history changing when a new epoch is about to arrive. |
surgical:I am not a Tinubu boy Mr Deep Thinker. You'd have made sense if your argument is more logical than insulting. Maybe you should look for folks like you on the thread whose strength of argument lies in the stench of their mouths. Mtcheeew... |

PDP is making things easy for APC. Yorubas especially will rather vote Tinubu than Atiku if the two parties were to present both and I don't think Atiku can win the North too. But the question is, how can the youths change Nigeria's present trajectory by making a party popular and massively publicizing an energetic, educated and proven individual? It doesn't seem like Nigerians youths are ready to do that though as a youth myself, I don't blame them. |
Basheer22:People do forget that foreign reserves are only safe if you're in good books of your foreign bankers. Banks are being stopped to stop dealing with Russia already. This is going to be for a long time even if the Ukraine crisis stops tomorrow. If you're in STEM, migrating to the US soon might become easier. E get why |
Charly68:Let me tell you a story: The government approved a certain amount of money to construct a two storey block of classrooms and office complex in 2013. They didn't release the money till 2019. The work on the complex was completed in 2020. Now the building was poorly constructed with tiles already removing. No furniture and the fitting was poor because inflation had taken place between 2013 when the money was approved and 2019 when it was released. Do you still blame ASUU for this? How many of this are we aware of? |
ProfAmaben:Maybe it's because their news is first class since we have yet to develop ourselves in basic economic juices like refining crude oil. So Russia and Ukraine are at war, oil shoots up, PMS becomes more expensive, common products, transport fare etc shoots up. When we develop ourselves to the extent that we're not much moved by the goings on in the world, we can face our country and allow them to war if they like. |
kodded:No be everything we go dey call "inferiority complex" That's cultural exportation. Music and movies remains the sole tool of modern cultural awareness. The more popular your culture becomes, the more superior it feels to the less popular culture. Nigeria to the world jare!!! |
Anyone sane enough would spot a mad dog when he/she sees one. This dog is mad, please avoid it for your sanity sake But if you enjoy the ride, reply it. |
Nwodosis:There will always be a reason for war. It may be delayed and it may be negotiated but there will always be a reason for countries to war as long as power is involved. |
NimrodEndOfDays:I don't like all these arguments but think about it, what is the Niger Delta doing with what they're getting every month given their lesser population? How is Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa faring today aside from Akwa-Ibom which is coming up? Is it always the problem with the other tribe or FG? Our state governors have failed massively and that's the truth except for a few of them though. |
hmohammed:Thank you. Be thinking like implied meanings can't be drawn from words. |
eazzzy1:That it happened in Canada does not mean it is right and neither does it exonerate Buhari. When we argue, it should be critical argument that is sound and not all these argument that only shows our subservient nature to slave master's driving the country to perdition. And when you say "exaggerate our issues", do you mean that #Endsars was the only problem Nigeria had up till then? |
