Let them take over all of Ukraine if they like..... The whole world is not even aware of what Nigeria is going through presently and we gon keep ourselves busy with the Caucasians? |
christejames:What's most saddening about this whole brouhaha is that ordinary Nigerians like you and I are fighting from two sides. We have to fight the government thats working against us and we also have to fight our fellow countrymen who for a morsel of 30k have sold themselves as instruments in the hands of politicians. They are well educated, exposed, disadvantaged and enduring hardships and yet, their eyes are dull and their souls are darkened. I really feel for Nigeria... |
iLegendd:"Contest" should be "context" too |
sonmvayina:C'est fini.... |
What do you understand about life? What do you understand about death? What do you understand about blood? What do you understand about sacrifices? What do you understand about retribution? What do you understand about God Himself? ![]() Perhaps if you pursue the questions above, you may discover your truth and stick with it. If not, perhaps you don't have the capacity to probe those questions and if you don't have that capacity, it'd be a tough job for anyone explaining the concepts to you. |
BSdetective:You don't need to say that. There's no way you would experience God in the real sense of the word and find it easy to denounce your faith or say that God doesn't exist. A ceremonial believer won't feel a thing when he/she 'denounces' the faith because there's no denounces since he/she never had any faith. If God reveals himself to the guy, that's all. |
escohido123:You know it's very dumb for anyone to talk about a part of the South betraying another part of the South. Let me ask you, have Southerners ever have a consensus among themselves during elections before? How can someone betray you when you're not in agreement with them? Is it not this unity that the North enjoys? Let's be critical rather than emotional in our assertions please. |
phemmyfour:Why then are they screaming that they joined two unrelated regions together? The South and the North made efforts? By the way, we don't calculate British colonialism when Nigeria came into existence. We calculate it when the influence of British imperialists started in the areas now called Nigeria. |
seunayantokun:If Awolowo's style of development was adopted throughout Nigeria, the country would have been free from any political upheaval aside from the rapid grassroots development that would have taken place. A nation cannot develop if development is not from the grassroots to the centre. The one Nigeria ideology where we try to unite a nation with vast differences was the beginning of Nigeria's death. Mutual relationship with a loose government at the centre would have instil people's confident in their respective regional government, the fear of domination by the minorities wouldn't have been there. When development becomes equally distributed to some extent, detribalization would have been easier. But look at where we are. |
phemmyfour:Colonialism started in 1861 when Lagos was made a British colony. Nigeria was officially united administratively (North and South protectorates) in 1914 and christened by that name. So no, colonialism isn't 46 years, it way more than that. |
Dpharisee:Yet, nobody remembers the Tigrayian crisis that has killed between 50,000 - 500,000 Oh Africa and her children! |
Truvelisback:But we are not going not give up. The men who would show themselves responsible would become the lifeline for our species in years to come. Humanity survived because of stability and if we throw that stability away, our survival would become problematic. It'll take time bro and moreso, good ladies are scarce today but when you encounter one, you would know. |
A lot of research experience and high quality publications can come to your rescue if you have a third class. US schools requires more of potentials than grades. Get good publication, research experiences and take standardized tests ie GRE, TOEFL/IELTS. They should come through for you. |
HarunaWest:You dey mind the guy? He doesn't realise that should Nigeria enter an unprepared for war now, he won't escape conscription into the army when soldiers are needed. Too much of freedom and laws is making people feel as if responsibility to one's country is now a crime. |
The economic realities of the world is shifting and likewise, the role of men as sole providers for their families. The major thing that ties men down in marriage is a sense of responsibility in terms of families and children which is achieved through economic prowess. The new system in most western countries have relativised responsibility, culture and every other thing that holds the fabric of responsibility in men. Thus, men are beginning to desire freedom to live without being responsible to anyone. As a matter of fact, marriage favours women more than it favours men and in actual sense of it, women do choose men than men choose women. But the world now is at a crossroads and the law of nature is what will determine the outcome of this. |
Dagger007:Pull me, I pull you, ya me, I have you....isn't that how secrets get revealed? |
Cardealer2021:Going to church can't take it away except you got something that speak directly to you at the church. You try and carry out the self reflection. Shut yourself away from the world for now. Take time to reconcile with you till things start getting normal. |
Sorry to hear that bro. Something in your is tired and wants to be loosened. You can keep shutting it out with alcohol, smoking etc but it may not go. You should be happy you're having feelings like that. Some people don't feel anything again, they're just living like ghosts and before you become like that, you may need s good deal of time to reflect. Shut yourself out. Stay away from social media, drinking, smoking and in short, anything that stimulates and takes away your attention. Give yourself time to think through your life. Self-reflection is the key here. If you're a Christian, spending time with God will give you a good sense of self reflection. If you can do this for three days, just thinking through issues and taking notes, it may be helpful. Questions you may ask yourself: 1. When did I start noticing this feeling? 2. What must have caused it? 3. How have been dealing with that causative factor 4. What do I intend to achieve before this depression sets in? 5. How do I move from here. These are just guides. You may end up querying yourself more than this. Be happy that you're depressed, it's a sing that something in you is craving for changes. |
BigBashiru:Did you even read what you're quoting or your fingers have pressed you so much you had to quote? |
BigBashiru:We should further ask "how has that relevance developed Hausa land from what it was before we gained independence". Whites are whites and it doesn't matter what they try to fake, they don't really like you. |
Op should just stop the sentimentality. If a federal school in the North invites rich and powerful alumni with their friends from the Southwest, they would also donate. Sure, Northerners like spending big in terms of charity evidenced by Dangote. Yet, politicians in any part of the South would do that too. People at the top don't have issues, stop creating issues for yourself so you can get to the top. |
bouncin04:You mean our own itches? Our problems are merely itch's. Aren't they? ASUU strike, no fuel, no electricity, high diesel prices, insecurity, never-seen-before inflation, a frail looking granddaddy about to become the president? They're just itches joor |
I'm not a fan of Tinubu and I don't support him for 2023 presidency but Reno should go and find something else to keep busy. The highest number of votes he can deliver is just himself (he may dissuade s few people). He's only marketing Tinubu by making him so far the sole candidate for 2023 elections. He should get a candidate and start doing PR for him. |
It would have made more sense if you had a good depth and a sound philosophical mind that's stable enough to consistently address specifics in religion rather than just blabbering around like a disgruntled beast whose prey was seized from its jaws. The only category of people credible enough to discuss religion are either highly intelligent philosophers (who already did) or highly regarded scientists (especially physicists). Guess what? Among these two category of people, there are highly religious individual. So have your field day. Not everything in science is rational anyway. At least, quantum physics is telling us something similar. |
temptnow:It's either you have an unparalleled level of ignorance with tinctures of stupidity or you're just plainly becoming derilious in mischievousness. If you want to counter a claim, it's wise to do that in such a way that'll not put your intelligence to question. The FG has power to tell Google what it wants even though they can't command Google to share data with them. Yet, Google has to comply with whatever the government says even though Nigerian Government is still a young boy in excercising sovereignty. |
PrinceOfLagos:Piggy is registered with CBN as an MFB |
kettykings:Not being able to keep shut or know exactly what to say and what not to say is the problem. You were trying to correct the op (which is quite right) and then you ended up saying that some people are "colonizing" some other people business-wise. If you belong to that other people, would you accept that you're being colonised or would you be happy about it? Let's not keep stirring hatred against the Igbos. If Igbos dominate every economic activities in all the states, let them be and let them do so silently. Don't come here and be shouting at the rooftops and be raising hatred against people that are busy doing their honest jobs. If you're as busy and an Igbo, you won't have the time to be making noise, you'd rather be making money. |
Amotolongbo:Stupidity being referred to here. Dangote singlehandedly owns Dangote refinery right? You'll just be looking for excuses no matter how stupid to discredit a thought because you don't buy the one airing it. |
