What is wrong with people?

Sanwo olu is a member of Mfm and he has always attended power must change hands, he also attends Rccg holy ghost services.

So he shouldn't attend the programmes this month because election is next Saturday? I just don't understand how some people reason.

Begins to attend indeed, I can't count how many times I have watched him on TV attending Mfm PMCH and RCCG holy ghost service
Politics › Re: Onikan General Hospital Lagos Asks Staff To Bring Their PVCs To Work - Onyeche by NoToPile:
I honestly don't see any thing wrong in the message. People have shown PVC in churches, markets and everywhere so what's the fuss.

Everybody knows a change in government can be a threat to jobs. If your job is threatened you will do all you can to protect it.

Everybody will protect their interest, Lagos civil servants will still want their salaries to keep entering their account on the 24th.

You think different ministries and agencies in Lasgidi will not mobilize their people? grin

It's all about interests.

Let them mobilize their people abeg.

Just know he is not joking. It is super very very important to Igbos, ignore those telling you otherwise oo for your own good they know the truth.

To show you how important, a church member member had 4 girls, she was always the first to come out when they ask those seeking for fruit of the womb, finally she had a boy.

Another woman told me how happy she was to have a son as no 2 because for' my place if you never born boy you never start'

Just few examples around.

If you have a wife or girlfriend working with male colleagues, please be very vigilant. The rate at which women are sleeping with colleagues or even customers to their offices is alarming. Some even go as far as going to hotels and lie to their men about their condition and go ahead to commit the act.Men please be very vigilant. The worse women who do this are the ones who look quiet like they can't hurt a fly or even serious church goers and Muslim girls too.I have seen and I have been told by my friends what this women do even in the office.Trusting women this days is hard, be vigilant. The cheating and tag on men as not been smart is too much and it hurts me

Politics › Re: President Buhari Congratulates President-Elect, Bola Tinubu by NoToPile: 7:00am On Mar 01, 2023
I am beginning to admire this man, lots of people were against him but he forged on, strategized, built bridges where necessary and seemed to be always be a step ahead, he even went ahead to seek an injunction from court to stop any form of preventing collation of results, no unnecesary talking, just taking and acting where necessary.

I now believe he was destined to win nothing could have stopped him. I even doubt the cabal wanted him to win.

I hope the divided opposition can learn somethings, come together build their party.

Nazgul:
Let me educate you on how lagos tax works.

The mallam you see pushing wheelbarrow is moving from territory to territory. So any Egbon Adugbo's territory he enters, he would definitely be taxed. And they don't care how much you paid the last person, as long as you bring your business to their territory you must settle them.

People that sell it market spaces would have every tax (including security) added to their fees, so they won't need to pay any more money. Cos they've already settled whoever is in charge of that territory.

And yes people still pay 1k for market space in Tinubu's Lagos. I grew up in Ojuelegba and lived there for years before relocating so I know all this.

Tomorrow go to the market and confirm what I told you, if I'm right, you owe me lunch.
The 1k is definitely not in recent years ordinary space for table and umbrella at minor bustops in Lagos suburbs cost much more than that as down-payment is minimum 10k then you pay rent monthly and then daily ticket, this is not even a market just bustop.
Business › Re: How Are POS Operators Coping With The Current Cash Crunch? by NoToPile: 9:01pm On Feb 23, 2023
They are still making money oo, was at Alaba international yesterday all my transactions except 1 were with POS, some sellers have personal pos machines and those who don't have use the POS peeps in the market, you use their POS they charge a flat rate of 200 naira and then they transfer to the traders account, that way the bank transfer issues is solved, instead of waiting in vain for the amount transfered to drop.

This evening at one filling station too, a pos lady was around those who didn't have cash used her pos to pay and were charged a flat rate of 200. She will later transfer to them.

The only problem is all these charges are simply transfered to the customer.
Family › Re: A Widower Asking For My Hand In Marriage by NoToPile: 9:31am On Feb 23, 2023
Chai na wa. I still salute your tenacity concerning that your boy in your previous thread. You are a strong woman.

I would personally have told you to just stay and raise your kids that would be my advice but never say never, life can be very funny a times, you never can tell where your peace will come from.

Note these points

-This man is about 20 years older than you are.

- You have younger children that will always need care.

-Can you cope with this new combo, tending to a husband that will want attention, care and then at least 2 little children, you honestly don't need extra stress at this stage in your life oo.

- This man is he financially okay enough to provide for the family (let's even exclude your children's fees clothes and all) hope you will not be required to take extra financial burdens apart from the ones you have now.

- What exactly is in it for you in this proposed marriage, what do you stand to gain? I may sound vain but after 2 marriages and 4 children it's worth asking.

- You can get to know him more first and check if he ticks the boxes

You are the one that wears the shoes, look before you leap.

Pray oo, don't sleep with him and don't get pregnant.

Jerewise332:
My annoyance is that, the landlord is using only the tenants to settle nepa bills without him contributing cuz apart from me who does not consume much of the power with two of my co-tenants rather it's my landlord's children who consumed more cuz they'll be watching movies from morning till night and making noise in the compound in the name of playing music.
The bolded is outright evil. He is supposed to pay part of the bills.

I feel your pain
Properties › Re: Is It Good To Share Equal Amount Of Money For NEPA With Your Landlord? by NoToPile: 2:18pm On Feb 21, 2023
Another landlord bashing thread. angry

If it's both of you why shouldn't it be shared equally, even Nepa sef doesn't look at what you have or don't have before they bring their humongous bill.

Jerewise332:
This is exactly what iam going through right now. Iam staying in a single room though it's tiled and spacious but this nepa bill of a thing is getting me pised up,how would i be paying 1k per month where i do not have Tv, fan or even the least thing like music box.. And the most annoying thing is that, all my landlord care is money..he doesn't want to know if am having difficulties in withdrawing money or not.
I prefer prepared meter honestly.
How much would you want to pay? How much is Nepa bringing as bill to the compound, what percentage of that bill is the 1k you are paying.

Sorry if Nepa doesn't care and still bring bills why do you think your landlord should. Landlord is not the one generating bill naa, it's the system.

Shared prepaid is even worse except you guys understand each other well and everybody using it is honest.

She should tell you on time so you will accuse the unborn baby of being a witch too abi. You think all those pains will disappear just because you said sorry.

Sebi you have been sleeping with her, if you haven't that's when you should be worried na.

Give her time, time will heal the wounds.

Nawa, Pele oo OP. Congrats on the pregnancy, just do not mess this up.
Politics › Re: Has Anyone Withdrawn Cash From Atms Of Late? by NoToPile: 8:14am On Feb 21, 2023
BluntTheApostle:
It can't get better.

You don't put the cart before the horse.

Why do you think the cash policy is causing so much problems?

It is because we did not do the right things first before implementing the policy.

No one is against the naira redesign or the mopping up of excess cash in circulation.

But there are things that should have been done first before implementing the policy.

First, there is no huge customer confidence in the banking system in Nigeria. In fact, many Nigerians believe banks work with Yahoo Yahoo boys. There are also many unresolved reversals. I, for example, I have a reversal amounting to 120,000 which is still unresolved since 2017.

Second, there is no citizen confidence in the government. How many people can trust the government? In fact, majority of people that I have interviewed believe this policy is a political rather than a monetary policy.

Third, there is no stable power. A cashless economy needs stable or adequate power supply.
There is no stable power supply in Nigeria. If you are lucky to live in some areas, you may enjoy adequate power supply. But power supply in Nigeria is not uniform. There are places where you may not even see power for months. During my service year, there was a period in Modakeke when there was no power for over 6 months because the transformer exploded. You may be asking, "but there is generator". Think about the cost of petrol and diesel right now. Even cooking fuel like kerosene is now costly too.

Fourth, our minimum wage is too small. Someone who earns 30,000 naira will spend more in a cashless economy just to spend their little money in peace. With bank charges and all other associated charges, how much go remain on top the 30k. And this is Nigeria, where many earn below the minimum wage. Employers of labour in the retailing business pay very terribly low salaries.

These and many problems should have been resolved before implementing this policy.

Because they didn't resolve the problems I listed, that is why the masses are suffering.

It is not that the masses don't appreciate the policy, but the policy is becoming a burden to them because the government poorly implemented it.
I like it when I read sane and realistic comments like this. Your points are that of someone who is in tune with reality and not in a state of delusion.

This policy is now a burden to a sizeable amount of Nigerians and It can't get better.

I also wonder, how did they pass the board exams when they forged the basic requirement for the exam.

Please note that Formal Charges are not a final disciplinary action, and a nurse is permitted to work, as a nurse, while Formal Charges are pending.”

The bolded is quite funny, they will still be working as a nurse for now pending final disciplinary action.

Maintain the status quo. Continue sending her upkeep, it's not necessary wife and your mum communicate for now, time might heal the wounds. Leave the matter.

If you can move your family out of that town far away from your mum pls do.
