jerseyboy: Groveling For Presidency Exposes Igbos To Further Odium Ridicule Humiliation.
Igbos must face the reality of their existence in Nigeria. Nobody likes them. They are the least desired of all Nigerian tribes in marriage, as neighbors, in commerce, mostly for no just reason. Most Nigerians including Igbos do not want to live in the South East. Buhari himself still privately call Igbos by the civil war pejorative "yumiri" and so do all northerners. Groveling for the presidency at the feet of other tribes has not exactly been dignifying .Igbos as great as they are as a people unfortunately lack negotiating power in Nigeria. No one really wants the Igbos. The reason the North is against Biafra is the fear of the others that will leave in the aftermath.
The North begged the Obasanjo to take the presidency in 1999, the North voted for Abiola without the Yorubas groveling. Watching the great Igbo people beg, grovel, plead for a position that they would be denied without consequences proves the Igbos have no negotiating power in Nigeria. Igbo presidency or else what? Nothing to bargain with other than BEG. Painful to watch.
Any party that fields an Igbo candidate is guaranteed to lose big. No other Nigerian tribe will enthusiastically vote for an Igbo candidate, certainly not the Yoruba. Add in there Hausa Fulani Efik Kanuri Nupe Edo, just about everybody else. Igbos are barely tolerated in Nigeria, quite unfortunately. The two major parties would not risk an Igbo flag bearer as they know no other nationality will vote for an Igbo. This is the unfortunate truth.
Biafra is the only choice for any right thinking Igbo. This will become crystal clear after the humiliation from the 2023 presidency. Forget the presidency and face Biafra. Nothing left in Nigeria for anyone. continue living in your delusional paradise, when the reality dawns on you, certainly you will wake up to reality. Igbos for president 2023 or North retains the president forever! |

Angelfrost: Leave those jokers... They think democracy and politics are emotion-based.
Nothing like diplomacy and bridging the political and ethnic divide in their dictionary!!!... Bunch of chest-beating, irritating, arrogant, and misguided people with a silly sense of over-entitlement. truth remains: the more your hatred for the Igbos, the more they thrive. Does it not teach you that it's God's doing? Awolowo thought that he could cripple the Igbos after the war and therefore changed the currency and instead of exchanging the value of old currency possessed by all Igbos in proportion to the new currency, he gave all of them 20 pounds. Igbos, just like the Israelites whom Pharaoh and his people thought could reduce their population, zeal and progress have continued to thrived to the amazement of all and sundry. Hope Yoruba is still leading in economy, education, innovation, etc as Awolowo envisaged? The reality stares you in the face and I promise you more, thank you. |

Elrufai might not be too far from the reality of what would play out in 2023 as our Yoruba brothers are already warming up for the year not minding that they have had their shot through OBJ.
So if they don't see their desire for 2023 which is against the Igbos for the same 2023 as unjust and lacking fairness, then justice should never come to their mind as they pursue such dream. It simply means that all region and zones should be allowed to contest.
The summary remains: Either the entire south support Igbo presidency in 2023
or
the seat of president should be thrown open to all geopolitical zones including the North. |

naijadrivablog: UI is a federal University. If there is no tribalism, as it is in most government university in selection of VC, a Hausa or even Benue man can be VC the two candidates are both Yoruba and if there is understanding, unity and acclaimed Civilization in the region, one would have given way for the other. They should just do whatever they wish but don't throw UI into another jeopardy should ASUU and FG stop their madness. |

My question is ,under which political party? Because i am darn sure Apc wont give the southeast the ticket.......pdp is just toying with the southeast......i think southeast got a better chance in pdp....
My problem with the southeast is they dont know exactly what they really want......they need to really work on their politics......they got zero knowledge about politics.......the only politics they seems to understand is sentiments I agree with you The North understands politics, the south is better with Western education and business, therefore let each tribe focus on what they know how to do best, so I think the north should retain power in 2023 |

They hate Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB and his piglets who have done nothing but hate and attack them. That's why they'll never be allowed near power under any guise.

there's everything wrong with the vehicle brother, it's why the British without a fight handed over a oil rich Nigeria with 250 tribes, 3 dominant tribes and 2 dominant religions to Nigerian leaders without a fight, there was bound to be conflict....and besides unlike a car, you can never find a perfect leader for a diverse nation like Nigeria.... it's the system that gives too much power to one person and makes the seat of the presidency a tribal topic, it's that system that needs to be changed. It's why the car needs to be restructured. hmmmm Here, Nigeria is not a living being and did not create itself or structure herself, alright? It was created by living being and since you submitted that the structure is where the problem lies, will Nigeria as an entity change its structure? No.... it's the actors (drivers) who happen to be the leaders of the state that would understand that the structure is bad and therefore decide to fix it |
Politics › Re: 2023: Buhari Should Be Wary Of People Trying To Market Tinubu ― Bode George by NSK4U(m): 8:25pm On Nov 24, 2020 |
TheLionofLasigi: Power intoxicates and is addictive, now imagine it in the hands of youths.
The last time youths smelt power in Africa they decided never to let go, an those same youths continue to rule us till today. Since those youths took power in nigeria we've expirenced a civil war, multiple recessions and high level insecurity. We don't need youths or old men, we need to reduce the powers that empower power hungry leaders, you can't fix a car by changing the driver of the car. We need restructuring. You should not liken Nigeria to a malfunctioning car. This is because there's absolutely nothing wrong with Nigeria as an entity, rather it's her operators (drivers) that are inept and or pretend to be clueless, thus, require changing |
