Good morning car guruz.plz I noticed lately my Nissan Pathfinder *service engine soon* light on my dashboard bli ks at intervals and once it does,it slows down my car movement.even at times my car doesn't fire well while climbing up a hill or even looses speed while accelerating on a plain ground.i changed d fuel pump twice already but still no improvement..plz wat else could be done coz am getting tired plz

It is a security feature in the 1960 Nissan Pathfinder so all is well.

In United States or other developed countries, the parents would pay for damage done by their wards on your car as long as you parked in the right place and it's of no fault of yours.

In Nigeria you can either shout at the children and cause emnity between you and your neighbor or take it as a call to Glory of your paint job and do nothing.

my brother in-law also went through such and he accepted his fate because he never even caught the kid doing it.

I drive bmw automatic.. i have just D and pulling to left on D is m+/s like manual sport! Where do i have as option as a L or 1. Have survived brake failure when i used camry for two years, firstly i dont announce to fellow occupants in the car because their panics will confuse me. If am ascending hill i use N but if descending i off engine but allow the lights on for power steering effectiveness. Then my hand brake be pulled n released systematically to avoid the somersault of the car.

You will switch to sport and pull to - consistently to switch to lower gears. Switching to N doesn't save fuel, rather leaving in gear and not accelerating is better.

My old 1986 Honda Accord would never shift into gear one at 80km/h. It wont shift into reverse either. The 2007 Toyota prado i used will not do it either.

At that speed, gear 1 will definitely rev the engine beyond red zone. That should damage the engine.

Am sure gear 2 will enter but the risk is high if speed is higher.

some cars won't allow that just to save Engine, as for reverse, you can't switch to reverse at anything above 10km in manual gear, it won't allow it.

If you remove the turbo, car would be slower than a skate biard, when climbing uphill, acceleration would become deceleration and the Engine won't even last before it goes back to the creator.

if you are in Lagos carry your car go Mr milex radautoworks, they would give you better diagnosis, reliable warranty parts and cost effective bills

I think your revs will likely jump, then your car drops them down immediately so as not to damage the transmission.

Revs jump keh is mildly saying it, the Engine was on redline I was even afraid the Engine go kaput and the nasty sound I heard from that Almera Engine, fear catch me but all was well

That's because most people don't know cracks are fixable.
Trust me, people would switch to fixing cracks if the option is made available to them instead of outright change of windshield.

Would VIO and FRSC consent to it? cause we are archaic in our doings in this country, any small crack nah park park park them go dey shout up and down.

I am talking from experience, I once switch my manual gear Nissan almera at 100km to gear 1 and pressed the accelerator the deceleration was astronomical. I have done same thing on a sienna 2000 auto though at 70km on 3rd mainland bridge and deceleration set in but not as astronomical as the manual transmission

I picked the RX because

1. Reliability is above the EDGE

2. Easy to work on than the Ford Edge

3. The vehicle would mostly do city runs, be parked most of the time and it is owned by a woman who may know little or nothing about cars, the 3mz would fit well in taking the stress.

4. The RX parts are readily available and affordable if she bashes the car at intervals.

5. The RX is a good hand me down car to her children when she can no longer drive and can be driven by any tom, dick and Harry incase she isn't the one to drive it.
