RZArecta2:The Engine is the same 2.4L i5 turbo, I am guessing the tweak is from the turbo and ECU, it's around 50hp more than the regular ones. from my research the shocks and springs are identical to that of the 02 Acura TL type S but even better, it actually performs like an air shocks but for the Volvo it moves with change in road surface depending on what drive type you select, so am thinking the sensor would have it's work cut out for it when it transverse the nonsense we call road. if you decide to ship one in, try to make provision for extra brake pads brembo shyte (though may not be necessary cause I doubt if you will exhaust the speedo and need emergency brakes) and the shocks because they are a special unit and the ones coming with the vehicle may give way in a not too distant time. happy hunting |

ultrazone:IS250 is 4GR 100k in the market I don't know about the transmission ES350 is 2GR around 280 to 3xxk for Engine and transmission is in the 400k range. |

RZArecta2:shebi you want to do 007 @ 320km/h, just insurance policy nah. The R is a good car, the Engine was tweaked and some extreme leg part. you may battle with sensor failure if you transverse water much. 1 Like |

lakun2013:Engine smokes in the morning and after parking for long. Normally engine shows smoke in the morning when you just start it which is actually steam not smoke and would only do that for 1 to 2minutes unless it is raining or the weather is very very cold. But if you are certain Engine is smoking, what is the color noticed is it black, blue or what? Also shortens oil if your Engine shortens oil, it could be an internal or external leak, so check around the Engine area if you notice oil stains, also start the car and leave gear in park or neutral and depress the accelerator to 2500rpm then check the exhaust if smoke is oozing out then you have an internal leak (it's a 2man job) |

Jollof123:So what are you waiting for. Just price the car and pay for it then ship in brand new camshaft and crankshaft sensor and keep in the car. That's the only known fault of the car during my one year ownership and please ensure the OBD port is working because without it, kazeem go dey rape you left and right without mercy.

agbajor27:A used car is a used car and it may develop some fault which is the standard maintenance interval fault. If you go along with the right technician he would ensure you buy a good car not a lemon, just have it at the back of your mind that a used car would need minor touches to put it in buyers taste while a lemon would need major overall of several parts to put it in shape. Jollof123:from the grill yours is between 01 to 03, don't use rubbish oil if it's a personal car because it would cause timing chain rattle and timing chain replacement is not something you want to dabble into. |

Jollof123:This is a Nissan almera N16 saloon. 2001-2006 model year for UK and 01-present for Latin America so depending on where it is coming from, that will determine it's year of production. As for price it is around 800k tokunbo for RHD upwards depending on hand drive, trim Basic, SE, SVE which has reverse cam, DVD and navigation and whether it was cut and join like the korope. It is cheaper to buy in Ogun state and parts readily available there because it is used as kabu kabu. This particular vehicle is reliable and luxurious than the Corolla if you look past it's manual transmission (which is more common than auto) the only downside is body falls apart easily and it is plagues by the cam and crank sensor wahala 1 Like |

chickenjefp:Diesel is a complicated engineering to Nigerian mechanics, only few understand it's working principle. Please look around for trailer parks or people who use identical cars like yours mostly garages where Peugeot J5, Ford Transit, Renault/Nissan cargo bus. Whenever a technician is working on your vehicle and he starts changing parts anyhow, always be skeptical and keep those parts because they may not be the cause of your predicament. 3 Likes |

lormarx:culled from a Nissan forum I think you have a dirty throttle body and a dirty Mass Air Flow sensor. My Murano last Monday started to hesitate when I pushed down the gas pedal. I literally floored it a couple times and my Murano stayed put. This is what I did to fix the problem. Ensure your motor/CVT is warmed up by driving it around for a while. 1) Get MAF Sensor spray from AutoZone. 2) Get Throttle Body Cleaner spray from AutoZone. 3) Take the intake hoses apart and reveal the throttle body. 4) Remove MAF sensor from upper air box. 5) Spray the heck out of the MAF sensor and set it aside to dry. 6) Get a rag and thoroughly clean the inside of the throttle body. Don't spray directly into the throttle body. Spray the rag and rub it down. Be sure to open the butterfly and clean it too. Also clean as far into the throttle body as possible. 7) Pull off the throttle body connector and spray the contacts with the MAF cleaner.  Spray compressed air into the throttle body and connector.9) Lightly spray compressed air into the MAF sensor. 10) Put everything back together ensuring there are no leaks. 11) Perform an Idle Air Volume Relearn if necessary ( http://www.nissanmurano.org/forums/82-1st-gen-2003-2007/12180-bad-gas-mileage.html ). Your Murano may throw a code that references an unusually high idle after this cleanup. If so, just do the idle air volume relearn steps in the thread above and reset the code. AkanebiDollz:We import a greater % of our cars from US or north American market than Europe, though both continent offering may share some identical parts like shocks, legworks, Engine seating and mounts even same Engine and transmission depending on what was tweaked by the manufacturer. So it's safe to say for the NA you get every part readily available, for Europe, some body parts and Engine internals may be unavailable 1 Like 1 Share |
