Handling The beeper wins

Drivers car the beeper wins, it's a performance vehicle though the passat 4motion isn't a bad in performance but not upto par with the beeper.

comfort now that's where the passat has it.

reliability passat

maintenance cost passat is a bit cheaper it's also sturdy engine wise there were a number of complaint on the E90 oil, coolant etc.

mpg good average fair guzzler. I did give both fair.

resale value some how the VW don't do well in the Nigerian used segment. The beeper if well taken care of becomes a classic not same for the VW.

in all do a VIN check and inspection before committing funds both vehicles are electrically and technologically advanced to be messed up.

@ nurey, can you compare Honda Civic 05 and Matrix 05.

The civic has a more luxurious feel and better fuel economy to the matrix. especially with the EX trim.

The matrix is more of a utilitarian vehicle with its AWD and hatchback form enabling a huge cargo space especially when the back seat is folded down.

The AWD helps it in traction while the 180hp XRS gives it a formidable speed performance though the civic Si is bae but you will find it hard to come across in Nigeria.

for simplicity fuel economy and build quality the civic is the good choice.

if you want to hurl goods around and own a toyota thieves shy away from the matrix is a good choice.

maintenance cost the ES350 isn't that expensive as it shares most part with camry of same year. Fuel economy lexus, cargo space Lexus.

The c350 is a 268hp RWD/4matic vs the ES350 272hp FWD/AWD the ES350 is faster though. The c350 should have a good handling and better performance especially the 4matic.

in the luxury segment both a identical in optional gadgets and standard tech.

if your friend wish for reliability and to play it safe the ES350 will do.

if he wants something that stands out from the crowd he can pick the Benz.

Ruggedity draw I have seen both vehicles used for 4 years plus and they still maintain same body shape only colour fading.

performance In terms of hp the pathfinder both have identical V6 engine but the 4runner V8 is 4.7 against 5.6 for the pathfinder. Both are off road vehicles they aren't for the everyday performance so offroader performance is going to be a draw

Reliability for the V6 draw for V8 I will give the 4runner

ground clearance draw at least where one goes successfully the other would achieve same.

availability of parts in terms of pricing and original I will jejely pick the pathfinder.

Both vehicles are identical really and none to me is superior over the other the 4runner has a good city mpg while the pathfinder has a good highway mpg.

when buying the pathfinder ensure you do a radiator bypass for the gear cooling after that you will enjoy the car for years. The 4runner V6 engine is around a million naira for replacement.

yes the E63, E63 S wagon and the AMG GTR C roadster all 2018 are the fastest in benz fleet 0-60 IN 3.0secs but the GTR is still faster though. Not all the GTR but starting from 2013 there about.

C63s does 0-60 in 3.9s. E63s does it in 3.0s.
So yes, the E63s is substantially faster than the C63s. That goes without saying, of course. E>>>C.

For some more perspective, the Nissan GTR does 0-60 in 2.9s. Shows how much of a beast the E63s, since it's much heavier.

The 2015 GTR nismo is quoted by nissan as 2.5secs unfortunately the real life time drivers ever got was 2.7, only the 2013 GTR nismo could do the 2.5 with launch control a feature nissan disabled in the 2015 model.

but I picked the E63 or E63 S wagon because it's easier to come by than a 2018 AMG GT C roadster which also has 0-62 at 3.0secs.

2018 BMW M5 is still faster than benz 2.9secs

well if you want to compare a 2008 GTR to 2018 C63s because that's the only GTR the benz can catch up with. The M series too though the M5 seems to have a very potent engine.

The Avalon is only available in a 6 cylinder engine, it won't be advisable to utilise it for uber. If the car is yours sell and buy something smaller for uber.

The 2003 to 2004 honda accord had gear issues until it was overhauled in the 05-07 accord. The recommended atf is honda atf Z1 which was replaced by honda DW1 later on.

pouring dextron II or III into that gear was a grave mistake as honda transmission for that year was very fragile not only accord some acura line up with identical gear had such issues.

The deed has been done, you have burnt clutches already. better source for a replacement gear and find honda DW1 more recommended than Z1 and the change interval is 3 years or 60k km but I would advice you change yearly that's how we did for our 06 accord and we have never had gear issues.

first off try to flush and replace the dextron with DW1 and see if it would improve before total replacement.

I use Oando Dextron ll, the guy that scanned it said it said it sensor issue after putting the sensor the problem persists.he drove the car around and concluded its gear box problem. he checked d gear oil and said it burning already that its turning black but when i check it still pink in color.

don't bother repairing. you need a new transmission. How can you pour dextron II inside 2003 honda accord. The transmission is on extra time.

The V35 coupe DOES not pack the 300+HP. It's the same as the sedan. The bump in power only came about on the HR that was tuned for more power. The V36 (2007+) coupe does 330 HP, though. About 20 HP over the sedan.

The V35 05-07 manual transmission coupe or sedan packed 298hp due to an addition of vvt to the one already available on the autos.

That to me isn't bad and as a bad guy I pick stick over auto for a sports oriented vehicle.

I would have just advice you go for a G35 pre facelift because the VQ35DE is a cheaper engine than the VQ35HR, the former is also fitted into various lines of nissan V6 almost 10 vehicles plus.

If you want the same speed as the facelift a manual transmission (stick shift) 4 door sedan and a coupe packs 300 or 303hp and doesn't need premium fuel to achieve it.

the coupe is almost identical to a Nissan 350z in performance.

Lmao @ ‘fall apart’....I’ve had this one for about 11 years, although it is hardly driven. It has only covered 8k miles since 2007. Mind you, the container that brought it into the country, offloaded it right in front of my house..(it was meant to be my dad’s ride, but he abandoned it few months later, coz he felt Twas too boring to drive).
About the door paddings, yes..they might fall off..but I was referring to the struts, bearings, engine and suspension(with the exception of the rear). It’s quite a fragile-rugged vehicle.
