Lanre1st:Tell me one business which doesnt... |
lecowas:Lol... Eggs typically have a very short shelf life. But that shelf life if just an official date. A truth I can tell you is that even after the 'official best before' date, eggs could still be good for another month or more. Similarly, an egg could still be far from its expiry but a few may already be bad when you crack them open. If you think SPAR is your problem, what do you think about those eggs you buy from the market with no idea of their production dates? |
Righthussle:I laugh when people say this... Just like every other business out there, you need wisdom, intelligence, very hardwork and grace/luck to succeed and become rich. Do you know how many people open new churches every single day and still remain paupers? |
bluepreek:Nigeria is such a lawless country, and it will remain so for a long time because 99% of Nigerians are like you @bluepreek; Nigerians love the lawlessness (as long as it favours them). In sane societies, an ordinary individual doesn't have the right to use the police as common thugs or attack bingos. It's only in failed lawless societies you see individuals ordering the police to go arrest, beat up and/or lock people up without a proper court order. |

What's the essence of conducting LGA elections when the candidates/party of the sitting governor is always 100% certain to win 100% of the seats? When will the black man ever stop deceiving himself? |
MichaelSokoto:The only reason the tithe argument keeps raging is because pastors keep threatening believers that if they dont pay 10%, they'd be in trouble. This is a lie from the pit of hell that should never be propagated. Pastors should bolden up and tell their members the truth about tithing being optional. If you want to pay 10%, that's fine. If you choose to give 20% or 50% or even 100%, that's also fine. If what you think you can afford at the time is 1% or 2% or 5%, that's also fine. Possibly up to 95% of people who pay tithes today give it out of fear and compulsion, not necessarily out of love, and this is how so many people and churches have unknowingly missed their blessings. The day preachers start telling congregants the truth about tithing, that's the day the unrestricted blessings of giving will fall upon the church. |
Hmmm.... If Jesus Christ himself and the first apostles didn't collect tithes, on what authority exactly are the current apostles, preachers and evangelists collecting tithes from their congregation and even declaring threats of fire and damnation for those who don't pay? The bottom line is that Tithing is optional! 2 Cor 9:6-7 clearly explains how Christians under the new covenant should give; i.e... You should give whatever amount you decide in your heart, not a specific percentage, not reluctantly and certainly not under duress of any parish pastor. That verse goes further to highlight the universal law of giving; i.e. the more you give, the more you will receive (this is a universal law, not a Christian law). I think it's time these big preachers bolden up and put an end to this tithe debacle cos it keeps bringing ridicule to the church. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 |
helinues:Indeed!!! I see you care so much about his welfare! |
helinues:Advice for what exactly? ...Does that fellow look like someone asking or desiring advice from anyone? |
helinues:Lol... the real question I ask is for those who just hate VDM; why exactly do they hate him? What exactly is the crime he's committed to attract the level of hate he gets? Nigger is just doing his normal social media influencer things, half of society hating on him while the other half are loving him. Everyday he keeps getting more and more popular by the free publicity of those that hate him. |
Hmmm... this is interesting. It takes a lot of courage to do this! Right now the likes of Daddy Freeze, Dr Damina and co would be dusting their mics. |
airsaylongcome:You see that's exactly my point; an end of month notice of early closure for branches isn't the same as notifying your customers that you intend to carry out an IT migration which could disrupt all electronic services. I wasnt planning to go into a branch, but it's the start of a new month and I have standing orders to suppliers and staff that should have gone on the 1st. Besides, even if they wanted to notify customers of anything, twitter is definitely not an official channel of formal communication to customers; I gave my email and mobile number to the bank for a reason. It's normal for thing to not go as planned, it's just a part of life. But a responsible organisation should have the decency to notify their customers of these glitches, and also keep them in the loop when the issues persist beyond the planned timing. A simple email broadcast or bulk sms would have done the trick. |
UyaiIncomparabl:Notified via what route please?.... Can you provide any evidence that customers were notified?... I am a customer of Zenith Bank and I received no such messages; not via email, not via phone call and not via sms. If the message you refer to is a post on their Twitter timeline, then that's a crying shame. How can such a large corporate organisation communicate such vital info through a useless twitter post?... They don't expect everyone to be a Gen Z baddie that sleeps on Twitter do they?.... When I opened an account with Zenith, I gave them a mobile number and email address for a reason. airsaylongcome:If the image from Twitter you posted below is the actual message they sent 5 days ago, then you're obviously a victim of what @UyaiIncomparabl said above; i.e. "we lack a reading culture as a people" The twitter poster you dropped is a notice of branch closure; that is not the same as a 100% disruption of electronic banking services for more than 24 hours (way beyond the 2pm that was even communicated). A responsible organisation should have sent out messages via email and sms not just 5 days ago, but reminders should also have been sent at least a day before and on the day of the outage. Furthermore, the moment the outages lasted beyond the planned time, additional notifications should have been sent out to custumers.
|
airsaylongcome:What kind of irresponsible organisation conducts such a disruptive exercise without having the basic decency to notify customers? After a barage of complaints from customers yesterday, their twitter account eventually released a measly apology claiming the disruptions would end by 14:30 yesterday, only for the disruptions to last another 24hrs without a single notification from the bank. What kind of brazen irresponsibility is that? |
Can log into the App now but function is still very limited. Balance is incorrect and transfers still hanging... Also not yet receiving texts and OTPs. |
YoungBlackRico:Yes I listened to his utterances carefully in those videos and there's nothing he said that's self indicting. |
People thinking they're trying to pull VDM down are unknowingly just digging a deeper hole for Bobrisky. I may not be a lawyer or an expert in legal matters, but from my understanding of what's been put out there, there's absolutely no case against VDM. |
Congrats321:Baba this is common sense.... Money was meant to be remitted into a common pot and transparently accounted for. For years the money was never remitted and those responsible for its accounting continued to keep mute; not until someone within raises a very loud alarm, and then the money starts appearing from different corners. Like I said before, the above scenario is too easy to discern. Too bad if you still cant understand my analogy of a botched heist. Feel free to keep thinking a sitting CBN governor at the time didn't know the difference between "turnover" and "profits". |
Congrats321:You've not heard of the term 'corruption' before? Or is it 'looting' you're unfamiliar with in a country called Nigeria? You expected the thieves in the NNPC and the petroleum ministry headed by Diezani to openly admit they planned to corner $20 billion? For any discerning person, it was obvious from those events that a grand heist was foiled by Sanusi's alarm. |
Angelfrost:Emefiele wasn't dumb, he was just a criminal who was being controlled by bigger criminals. No matter the level of nepotism, a dullard wouldn't rise through the ranks to that position. So I'd repeat it again, same way I screamed it over 10 years ago. Sanusi wasn't blabbing when he blew the whistle that $20 billion wasn't accounted. He knocked a very major heist by blowing that whistle. Knowing the kind of corruption that happens unabated in Nigeria, only a delusional or gullible person would dismiss such an allegation from a CBN governor. |
LadyExcellency:And you genuinely think someone who rose through the ranks as an economist up to the position of a CBN governor doesnt know the difference between turnover and profit? Continue deceiving yourselves.... |
For a country grappling with total inflation of ~33% and food inflation of ~40%, someone who's meant to be educated claims the cost of living isnt high? This is the sort of thing you get when you place imbeciles and drunkards in power. |
With the excruciating hunger and hardship in the land, it's actually an insult to the sensibility of Nigerians for anyone to dare suggest that "protests are sponsored". Insult ontop injury! |
Eteka1:Although the simplistic economic theories and calculations you put up here hardly ever works smoothly Nigeria, I still agree with you 100% that there'd be an eventual reduction in petrol prices and an overall improvement in the economy IF Dangote refinery is allowed to operate efficiently. But that's one very big 'IF'. |
Franzinni:Oga, in the book of 1 Peter where the apostle made the declaration "You are a chosen people of God", Peter wasn't referring to the people of Israel. 1 Peter 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia.... ... 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.... So by repeatedly claiming the chosen people of God are Israelites, you speak more from the angle of ignorance than knowledge. Your opinions of the bible are obviously based on the sketchy details you gatheted from forced Sunday school growing up, rather than what you personally read or understood; yet you think you have sufficient authority in knowledge to disprove what you have no clue about? People wey don read and dissect bible go dey dispprove, even you wan follow disprove? |
Franzinni:Stay on one lane and stop confusing yourself. If you're a believer, say you're a believer. If you're an unbeliever, own up to it with your full chest. That's my point! |
Franzinni:Never seen so much confusion in one single post.... See how you sound so pained and triggered all because someone quoted a bible verse. The verse doesn't even have anything to do with prosperity or signs or wonders or miracles, yet you went on a tirade about prosperity? On one hand you claim to be an unbeliever in the "fairy tales" in the bible. Within the same post you claim Jesus told you how to connect to your maker directly.... If confusion was a person...... |
Bobodee09:The only reason Seyi received more bullets was cos he shot back. Yul on the other hand never bothered to respond to anyone online or offline... Seyi isnt the first celebrity to support APC online, but the rule is simple - You should never engage with angry trolls online, especially as a celebrity. Meanwhile the attacks are purely political; if you doubt, go an ask people like Rochas or Uzodimma the level of online bullets they've received. Or aren't they Igbos too? |
Bobodee09:Last time I checked, the people who attack Seyi Law online for his political stance, also equally hate and attack Yul for the exact same reason. No need for empty talks, can you provide a single shred of evidence to prove wha you said that those attacking Seyi are hailing Yul? You seem to be desperate to mask your tribal bigotry under the excuse that "others are doing it too". |
