All these info can easily be extracted from a simple google search. Politicians like Reno knows majority of Nigerians are too nonchalant to independently verify things, that's why they churn out false figures and statistics at will cos they know people are gullible.

I can help you a bit. As at July 2014 (just before oil prices crashed), the reserves was about $39B. As oil prices started dropping, the reserves dropped progressively to about $28.6B on the 29th May 2015, and of course after handover, it kept dropping (as oil prices kept dropping) till it reached its lowest of $23.95B in Oct 2016. Since then, things picked up and the reserves have been rallying upwards and has just reached its highest point in the last 4 years (> $40B).

And by the way, the use of the word 'zero' is figurative; a family man with 5 kids who just loses his job and has only N10k in his account can be said to have 'NO MONEY' to feed his family.

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has reacted to the minister of power, Raji Fashola's recent statement that Nigeria 'had less power under Jonathan but had a growing economy'.

Fashola on Thursday at a civil society engagement workshop on the Power Sector Recovery Programme in Abuja said;

“We hear all our so-called experts who say (non-availability of) power is why the economy of Nigeria is not growing. That is not factual and it is not correct. At the time when we had less power in 2013 and 2014, the economy of this country was growing at seven per cent per annum. We had less power then than we have now, but the economy was growing.”

Omokri, in a statement on Friday, said that the nation's information minister, Lai Mohammed and President Buhari owed ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan an apology. He wrote;

"At various occasions since coming to power on May 29, 2015, both President Muhammadu Buhari and his lying parrot, Lai Mohammed, have attempted to sell the false narrative that the Jonathan administration and the Peoples Democratic Party, destroyed Nigeria’s economy and handed over a collapsed polity and are the reason for the current comatose condition of the nation’s fiscal and financial systems.

For instance, on the 14th of August, 2017, President Buhari, speaking through his spokesman, Garba Shehu, said:

“With due respects to the former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, these are the facts about the economy you left behind, in case you have forgotten.I hope this will help to erase the wrong statement credited to you at your party, the PDP Convention at the Eagle Square last weekend that you handed to President Buhari a robustly healthy economy.

Let me start by reasserting an obvious statement, which is that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration was handed an economy ravaged by years of mismanagement and corruption.”

Again, lying Lai Mohammed had also as recently as the 26th of January 2018, in an interview with the Sun Newspaper, said as follows:

“I think it will be tragedy for this country for PDP to come back because they have not even apologised to the nation for how they had destroyed our economy, destroyed our infrastructure, destroyed our quality, and so far from their campaign, ask them how they will do it better when they get there.”

However, in keeping with the principle that no matter how far and fast falsehood has traveled, it must eventually be overtaken by truth, Babatunde Raji Fashola, the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, has exposed both his boss, President Buhari, and his colleague, Lying Lai Mohammed, as liars who will say anything, no matter how untrue, to cling to power and demonize former President Jonathan and the PDP.

Speaking on February 1, 2018 at a civil society engagement workshop on the Power Sector Recovery Programme in Abuja, Fashola in trying to defend himself from allegations of ineptitude as regards the epileptic power supply in the country, ended up vindicating both Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP, albeit unintentionally.

Unfortunately, due to the ineptitude of the Buhari administration, a booming economy became an economy in recession in just one year under the All Progressive Congress.

And this is not the only recent example of the vindication of former President Jonathan by the Buhari administration.

Only recently, lying Lai Mohammed responded to the letter by former President Olusegun Obasanjo by claiming that the Buhari administration had increased the nation’s foreign reserve from the $24 billion it met it to $40 billion.

The question for Lai Mohammed is this: From who did Buhari inherit the $24 billion? From ghosts? From Killer Fulani herdsmen?

In light of the vindicating statements by Raji Fashola, I hereby call on both President Muhammadu Buhari and lying Lai Mohammed to tender an unreserved apology to former President Jonathan sad the PDP and to henceforth commit to returning Nigeria’s economy at least to the state that they met it when Dr. Jonathan handed over power to them on May 28, 2015."

Mr Omokri must have woken up drunk again before penning down these silly accusations. Where in Lai Mohammed's letter did he say Buhari inherited $24 billion as reserves from GEJ?.... Below is the extract from Lai's letter:

"Foreign Reserves have peaked at $40b, the highest level in about four years, and up from $24 billion just a year ago, even though when we came in, the price of oil had crashed woefully."

So how exactly on earth did a well educated Mr Reno come to his silly and deliberately dubious interpretation above?... The hungry pastor deliberately lying in a bid to accuse another of lying, all because he understands how gullible his audience is.

In simple geography, you have just 4 compass point. But a country isnt necessarily a simple square or circle where you can simply apply the 4 simple compass points (north-east-west-south).

In assigning geographical regions for nations, I'm sure you've heard things like north, north central, west, mid-west, middle-east, south-central, far east, north central etc; this is standard practice all over the world and you cant claim not to have heard it so I wonder why the term south-south is a surprise. Besides, it is called a GEO-POLITICAL ZONE and not a GEOGRAPHIC ZONE.

And how exactly could that map have been drawn?... In the SE, there are 5 full states that are 100% Igbo, and the states all share boundaries. I'm not sure I even understand the tribal spread of the north; are there any states that are homogenously Hausa or fulani? If there's anything which is common up north, it's the fact that everybody speaks hausa.

Peace is a very vital ingredient to attract investment, there's no law stopping importers from using those ports in the Niger delta, not everything is the doing of the FG, not everything is a conspiracy. Go down to those places and find out for yourself why importers would rather import through Lagos.

The early Apostles also had the privilege of large followership which included the extremely rich and generous followers; if the early Apostles wanted, they could have effortlessly amassed wealth and shown it off as 'physical evidence' of God's blessings for their work whilst they preached on. But as a matter of choice (and in adhering to Jesus' lifestyle), they deliberately refused to do that, but rather chose to live simple lives; and for that reason, the people of the time were astonished at their lifestyles and called them 'Christ-like' a.k.a 'Christians' (i.e. those people who behave the way the man Jesus behaved and lived whilst He walked the earth).

But today, we have current day Apostles doing what might easily just be the opposite; showing off extreme wealth as evidence of God's blessings for their work. If neither Christ nor his Apostles did this, in all honesty, do you agree the flashing of extreme wealth equates to living like Christ (a.k.a Christian)? Isn't that too contradictory?

You have obviously failed to critically analyse the videos you saw very well; those videos posted by the girl actually corroborates the man's story even better.

Both parties chipped in little lies in their narration but when both sides of the story are cut and joined, you can still get a good visibility of what transpired. On the said night, both parties had a misunderstanding which probably led to exchange of harsh words, the man got pissed and asked her to step down from his vehicle that he wasn't willing to go any more. She refused to alight pending when the next taxi she ordered would arrive, but apparently whilst still talking to her friends on the phone (or probably calling for the next ride), she must have spoken some Yoruba (which the man didnt understand) explaining her current location to her friends (or probably the next taxi). The man in his already enraged state probably became paranoid (or maybe he just lost patience) and he accused her of calling thugs/ritualists on him. At this point, as his entreaties to the girl to step down were ignored, he drove off and started heading to his house (which was just minutes away).

As he probably drove through the dark untarred street to his estate, the girl on her part got paranoid must have returned the 'ritualist' accusation on him. He got to his estate gate, stepped down from the car to probably go open the gate and it was at this point she started making the video.... Now while she claimed he locked her in the car, the video of him stepping out of the car contradicts that claim cos he hardly even banged the driver's door. Whilst he tried to open the gate, she grabbed his keys from the ignition (meanwhile how can a man who locked a woman in a car possibly leave the keys inside the car?.. with what did he then lock the car?.. child lock?). Upon seizing the keys, the guy runs back to the car to retrieve his keys and that obviously led to the physical scuffle up till the point where she used the pepper spray on him. Even from her video when she was in the car administering her pepper spray, that scene clearly looked like a man either still begging her to get down from his car or probably asking for his keys (and this is coincidentally the point in all the videos where there suddenly was a glitch in the audio?.. ah ah!!).

I'm sorry, but analysing the story critically, the man doesn't seem like a rapist or a ritualist, both adults simply had a misunderstanding, both were probably paranoid (scared of each other) and angry at each other at the same time, and the lady (knowing she's influential as a celebrity) decided to teach the guy a very bitter lesson. But then, she went just too far by using the rapist and ritualist tag, and even going further to publish his name and picture, haba! Those are two very weighty tags that can scar a man for life and end his career. I actually love the response of Nigerians on this one, only few seem to be falling for her treacherous game of pity.

I agree with the thoughts of most people on this thread, this story sounds like another one of those whatsapp parables broadcast by our lovely mothers. The child's shoe must be 5 sizes bigger to be able to accommodate a live unsquashed scorpion from morning till lunchtime; under realist circumstances, even an ant in the shoe would be crushed.

I watched the video she posted as proof, it was cconveniently edited to her favor. How come the was no audio except at the point where she said 'if you touch me'and then screamed.?

To me, the video corroborated the drivers story more than hers.

Even when she started recording the video, it was not a video of someone is a panic of being kidnapped. She knew what she was doing and wanted to document to her advantage.

Let her release the full video with audio without any edits inbetween
