There are too many uncompleted/abandoned projects that need to be completed. I guess that's basically what the govt is focused on.

FG projects are mainly large projects that typically span several tenures; 2.5 years isn't even up to a single tenure. I doubt anyone can even point out projects 'started and finished' by the last administration which lasted for 5 years.

I saw a catchy title and so I opened the thread to get information. But to my utmost dismay, the only primary bit of info captured in the title which actually made me open the thread was unavoidably missing in the body of the report, and I'd be required to visit an external an external website to get this info. Shame on you if you still cant figure how misleading your title is, cos I and many others would certainly not have bothered opening the thread if we knew it was a trap redirecting to another website.

You are free to keep gloating over how people hate or are hating on you. But you could save the situation by simply posting the complete report (at least the important bit captured in the title) within this forum without forcing people to go into other websites.

I can also assure you that 98% of the people on this thread wouldnt also click you web link. If you cant post the info here but expect people to click your nonsense weblink, you've ended up passing no info, except for a misleading title.

Some youths on Monday booed a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Mike Ozekhome as he made his way to into the venue of the 14th Annual Chief Gani Fawenhimi Lecture, where he was slated as one of the discussants.

The angry youths who blocked Ozekhome from getting in the high table accused him of shielding looters. The venue of the lecture at the Airport Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos became rowdy when the youths insisted that the SAN would not be allowed into the lecture hall.

The protesters accused Ozekhome of defending personalities like Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state, former First Lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan and Senate President Bukola Saraki among others, who they labeled as corrupt,  contrary to the ideals of the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi.

The development forced the keynote speaker, a former Dean, Faculty of Law, Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, Prof. Demola Popoola to stop his paper for about 20 minutes.

It took the intervention of the Chairman of the Ikeja branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr Adesina Ogunlana; and that of Mr Richard Akinola, to shield Ozekhome from the irate youth. Mr Femi Falana SAN, who was also at the event, had to leave the high table where he sat among others to placate the youths and calm them down.

Fawehinmi’s son, Mohammed told the protesting youths that his late father did not believe in violence but rather was very democratic, stressing that the late Fawehinmi would not have approved what they did because Ozekhome was at the event for a purpose.

“This gathering is a democratic gathering and it is a gathering in which security should not  restrict anybody”, he said, adding that he was about nine years old when Ozekhome was working as a counsel in his late father’s chamber.

I have always wondered why God blesses Akwa Ibom State so much and now, i have the answer. No one serves the lord or does something for God without being blessed.

God blesses the works of your hands, if you like, sit down in church 365 days of the year praising and worshipping, a single blessing wouldnt come your way except you get your hands busy. There are already too many churches in Nigeria, a sensible govt should focus on creating factories, schools etc which can actually get the hands of people busy cos God only blesses busy hands.

The other day, Sen David Mark built a big church for his community, and then a footballer did something similar ,and now it's Akwa-Ibom state govt. A nation that has more places of worship than schools, hospitals and factories put together; but yet we wonder why poverty index keeps increasing and we wonder why the country is termed 'shithole'.

You can call Jonathan's case, nonchalance (and incompetence). In Buhari's case, as far as the Fulani herdsmen are concerned, I sense a deliberate and coordinated act. You should observe that the military and police are used to provide cover for the attackers.

The same way you perceive this now is the exact way some elements in the north also alleged at the time that GEJ was deliberately allowing BH to decimate the population in the north east and hinder elections in the area.

But GEJ was equally guilty of the exact same acts of criminal nonchalance which Buhari is guilty of today... GEJ's act of nonchalance and inactivity led to the escalation of a group of riff-raff bokoharam into a full blown guerilla army which claimed over 15000 lives; dont be so quick to forget the chibok case where GEJ never acknowledged the problem existed only until much later following global outrage.

So if you believe Buhari should be removed for this act, why do you guys remotely think anyone who contributed to boot a similarly slothful and nonchalant GEJ out owes you any apology?

I do know what I am talking about the Tunde Bakare I knew and still know had been an ardent supporter of restructuring especially during Jonathan's time he was even part of those that was selected for the 2014 Confab all of a sudden he went numb while the likes of Atiku, Nnamdi Kanu, Odumakin, Wole Soyinka were championing the RESTRUCTURING CAUSE under his friend and associate, Buhari's administration only for Tunde after almost 3 years to now found his voice. This is the object of my discourse and I wonder why you are still confused knowing fully well that Tunde is aware that Buhari is averse to this noble cause of restructuring?

The simple point is, Bakare has always been in support of restructuring, he has NEVER changed his position on that. Your opening statement that "he supported Buhari = he does not support restructuring", that's a very flawed and laughable interpretation.

That a man does not come out with a microphone every morning like a town crier shouting 'restructure! restructure!', that does not mean he has changed his position on the subject. I dont think I understand your compulsion to attack or fault his steadfastness on this issue; you just sound like someone in desperate need to blame someone. Did you ask him his positon on restructuring in the last 3 years and he said otherwise?... Even all those names you mentioned above, they do rest sometimes and then come out later to speak when issues become heated. Do you then interpret that to mean 'they changed position'?... Like seriously, what sort of interpretation is that?

Yeah Bakare supported Buhari's election, but that doesnt mean he supports Buhari's stance on restructuring. If for anything, Bakare's position on restructuring has never changed and has never been in doubt.

As much as I detest the disaster brought about by the maurading herdsmen, I think we need to sometimes interrogate the poisonous campaign against them.

Of course we cant say for a fact that it's Benue, it could be anywhere else. But what we all know for certain is that those yams dont belong to the herdsmen.

Hopefully Chief Umeh would be vocal when he gets to the chambers.
