frankyychiji:If you weren't already psychologically ruined like I pointed above, then maybe you would still have some wisdom and insight to figure out that this really doesn't have anything to do with politics. A word of advice for you, 'get over 2015 elections! it's almost 3 years gone and we almost in 2019 already. |
frankyychiji:The only thing I wouldn't be underestimating any more is the extent of psychological damage that has been inflicted on the average Igbo youth by political and other good-for-nothing charlatans since 2015. It would require a generation of cleansing and deliverance to restore normalcy in the minds of the current multitude of paranoid conspiracy theorists. |
Lol... see reasoning. |
Didnt expect anything less from the squad (ffk, omokri) |
According to Omokri and a bunch of his he-goats, Buhari and APc are certainly responsible for Chief Innocent having issues with GTB; also, Uncle Inno is definitely being pursued purely because of his tribe. The way some nincompoops continue to give a political and tribal interpretation to everything in Nigeria today is just nauseating. Tufiakwa! |
Jochabed:If the guys father, an Edo man can actually marry his mother, an Abia woman, then this is certainly not about tribe. There's something else they aren't comfortable with about the lady which they aren't saying; I doubt it really got anything to do with her state cos that doesnt add up. |
dukie25:Mr Man carry this you victim mentality and persecution complex and shove it up your ass. Cant an event just happen in Nigeria again without being painted as 'persecution because of tribe'? What sort of horrible self esteem issue is this that's being sold to even unborn Igbos?.... Is this the first time two businessmen are to have issues in Nigeria and the police/efcc is involved?... Is Chief Innocent the first person to be questioned by efcc?... What has tribe got to do with this?... In recent times, why must tribe have to be mentioned in everything in Nigeria once an Igbo name is involved?... Chief Innocent is a multibillionaire and he doesnt need this unsolicited emotional and sentimental/tribal defence to sort himself out with GTB. This victimhood mentality has now become nauseating and ridiculous. It had better stop soon else the Igno nation continues to make a fool of itself. |
A lot of sick minds litter Nigeria. A business conflict between two businesses, but with the speed of light, empty brains have turned it to tribal and even political matter. |
YouthsPC0:The foundation of the write up above was laid on sheer ignorance. Google is very accessible for information but people just dont fancy info, ignorance is bliss. When did 1961 become 1953? |
Nigerian govt sef! Never changes... ![]() |
OnucheAdams:It's only wise to do that when you already have something tangible resting in thr reserves. For an import dependent country, a buoyant forex reserve is like the very backbone of economic survival. The whole economic crisis Nigeria's been through in the last 3 years and the whole recession would never had happened if Nigeria had buoyant reserves. |
bigpicture001:All these beautiful explanations and not a single mention of the biggest factor which fuelled the massive decline in production (i.e. forex scarcity)? You talk about recession and how it led to suffering without a single reference to the principal factor which suffocated the nation's productivity and actually birthed the recession?... You talk about recession causing suffering, but you made no mention of the forex scarcity which actually led to the hyperinflation (due to Nigeria's unhealthy overdependence on imports) which actually led to the sufferings of the masses?... Sorry sir, halting of fiscal spending wasnt the main reason for the recession. Nigeria being an import dependent economy needed and still needs forex as its lifeblood. The scarcity of forex (due to a sudden massive decline in its inflow) impacted every single component of the economy. Local manufacturers couldnt produce anymore as they couldnt import raw materials or machinery, importers couldnt import because they couldnt get forex, foreign investors couldnt continue business because they couldnt repatriate their profits (so they lost confidence in the nation's economy) and the biggest industry in Nigeria (i.e. oil industry) also went into coma. The Millions of jobs were consequently lost and the economy was fell into inevitable coma. Contrary to your assumptions, people did not stop spending because they lacked confidence, people stopped spending because they lacked the required legal tender to facilitate those transactions. With the forex reserves depleting fast, it was an inevitable necessity for the nation through the CBN to restrict disbursement of forex; that led to a massive crash in the Naira, which also consequently affected spending power. Oh yes! the delays in setting up a govt anf approving massive spendings at a time when it should have been done urgently played its own role in worsening the situation, but it is utterly ridiculous and laughable to ascribe that as the principal cause of the recession in an import dependent already struggling economy which suddenly lost over 60% of its forex inflow and which had next to nothing in forex savings. And by the way, regarding the bolded part of your comment above, that extra fund you talk of goes into the Extra Crude Account, not the foreign reserves. No government waits for a budget excess before it shores up its forex reserves. |
bigpicture001:Oh yes I'm an illiterate. So kindly educate me on all you've just mentioned above please. Kindly explain how recessions happen and how Nigeria's lack of forex reserves was not a factor. I'm keen on learning your stellar economic theories. |
juman:Very typical of the black man, never thinks about tomorrow... "hunger oo! hunger oo! hunger oo!!, bring all the money let's eat today"... and then what happens tomorrow when the money dries up and a worse famine comes? No insults intended, but you exhibit the exact same chronic myopia and painful ignorance which led the government of GEJ to squander valuable reserves in the name of "building highly needed infrastructure". At the end of the day, reserves were gone, national debts rose inexplicably and even with the largest search-lights, Nigerians couldnt still find the so called "highly needed infrastructure" which those moneys were spent on till date. Fast-forward to 2014, oil price suddenly crashes and economy begins to tumble, it spirals out of control from 2015 when there was nothing left in the reserves to counter the oil price drop. Of course till date, a lot of people are still largely ignorant of the connection between having nothing substantial in reserves and the recession Nigeria got into. Obasanjo saved over $60billion and that singular act was the reason Nigeria didnt fall into recession during the global economic crisis in 2008. If only that momentum of saving was maintained, Nigeria had no reason to have had anything less than $100billion in reserves following the miraculous oil boom between 2010 and 2014. But what did we get when the leaders followed your "spend all the money" ideology?... Recession!!. **Oh sorry I forgot, Buhari engineered the recession 100% with his dullness** |
Reverse psychology woykd play out here. I see the man's ministry growing and even the collections increasing. |
salvation101:You are very correct, the people bringing up the argument about "tithing not being a command" are truly those who either do not tithe at all, or who do not tithe regularly, or who tithe grudgingly. But then, this is common sense logic and it should be clear why these are the set of people complaining. First and foremost, to correct your impression above, it has nothing to do with greed. Money is a scarce commodity and everyone has 1001 things they need money for. Refusing to give to Mr A, but using the funds to settle other personal needs does not make a man greedy; tagging it greed is quite a shallow interpretation. Secondly, you would then ask why non-tithers shouldnt just shut-up and mind their business if they dont want to tithe. Once again, this is common sense logic; you cannot pass judgment on a man, attack his piousness and empty a drum of guilt on his head everyday and still expect him to keep calm. The reason the tithing debate is on is because the non-tithers and partial tithers are sick and tired of the constant judgement and feeling of guilt imposed on them by tithe preachers and other tithe payers who feel more holy and label others as 'greedy' (just like the pharisees of old); it's only commonsensical logic for those attacked constantly and tagged names like 'greedy' 'robbers' 'accursed' etc to feel defensive. This is moreso at a time when some persons have just recently taken the pain to dig deep into the scriptures and proven that the tithing which has been a basis to perpetually keep non-tithing believers in the bondage of guilt is in fact and indeed, not a scriptural command of God to new covenant believers. dieBYfire:Did you mean condemnable? |
rose54321:What exactly was the act of kindness by GEJ to Africa?... I dont remember either GEJ or PMB or even MKO engaging im any particular act of kindness towards Africa. The question is such a stupid attempt at impressing the examiner's the political opinion on little children. And one begins to wonder what the regulators from the ministry of education are doing. |
Lol.. capital efulefus. I know several Urhobos who would even do better. |
Luukasz:You are free to also post all that on your favebook page. |
Nice one... Any mumu criticising should kindly show us their own charity. |
Orpe7:Rochas might be a clown, but in terms of projects, he's still miles ahead of most other (if not all) governors in the south east. The man just clowns himself too much and attracts way too much bad press. |
Gggg102:Like I said earlier, energy cannot be created or destroyed, but can only be converted from one form to another. By applying mechanical energy (from your legs) to pedal the bicycle and light up the bulbs, you are basically powering/fuelling up the system with your legs. |
Cutefine02:You just rushed to call me senseless and then exposed your ignorance in the process. I am a mechanical engineer so please dont try to argue pointless semantics bordering on the definition of the word 'fuel' or 'generator' with me. If you wanted me to be more clear with my statement, i.e to break it down in such a way that even a dummy would understand, you should have simply asked. Once again I put it to you that energy cannot be created or destroyed, but can only be converted from one form to another. From the example you gave above, by spinning the electric motor with your hands, you are simply converting mechanical energy (from your hands) to electrical energy. ANd in that situation, it can be loosely explained that the system is fuelled by your hands; I'm not here to go into the semantics of the word 'fuel'. |
1StopRudeness:You are right, people give far more than 10% and such people do so freely. But the only problem is some pastors asking people to give a mandatory 10% and then ascribing it as a command from God in order for the believer to be in God's good books, haba!. The apostles who were the first preachers, and who introduced Christianity to non-Jews never asked the people to give any compulsory figure in order to be at peace with God. In 2Cor 9:7, the principle of giving preached to gentile believers was "to give whatever they chose in their hearts (not a specific percentage) freely and without compulsion." The bible recorded it that the people gave freely, some gave 100%, some 50% and so on; but the apostles never preached the Laws of Moses to new covanant believers asking them to bring any mandatory figure (i.e. 10%). So where on earth are our present day preachers getting this idea from? Subjecting new covenant believers to the Laws of Moses in Malachi and frightening believers with the curses of the law (Mal 3:9) even though the bible in the Galations 3:13 already tells us Christ has redeedemed us fron those curses? |
noalistic:Malachi 3:8-12 refers to the Mosaic Laws given to the Jews, the curse talked about in verse 9 is the 'curse of the law', which is all part of the old covenant. Fast forward to the new covenant, Galatians 3:13 highlights how Jesus Christ through his supreme sacrifice has saved us all from the curses of the Laws (of Moses). Except you are denying the death and resurrection of Christ (just as Jew still do till date) or except you are saying the Apostles who preached these things under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit were liars, I'm not sure I understand why or how the curses of the laws in Malachi are still being preached so seriously or used by pastors even in 2017 to frighten believers (Gentile believers at that). No where was it ever documented in the bible that the Laws of Moses should be extended to Gentile believers, the apostles never preached the Laws of Moses when they extended the gospel to Gentiles; they never received tithes, and they never asked non-Jewish believers to pay tithes in accordance with the Laws (Malachi). Specifically, the template of giving preached by the apostles is contained in 2Cor 9:7, it talks about giving whatever you wish in your heart (not a mandatory percentage) freely, without compulsion. It"s not enough to just read 1 verse of one chapter of one book and ascribe it as the total Word of God, do well to read the entire bible, there are 66 books. You can start by reading the entire chapter 3 of Galatians and then tell us who truly is calling God a liar. |
WackyJ1:A lot of people pay tithes for different reasons, a majority do not do so out of a genuine love or faith, but rather out of the crippling fear of the curses they are told would be placed by God on those who do not tithe regularly. So regarding your point, if there's a person who doesn't pay his tithe, or who doesnt pay regularly, or who sometimes chooses to use part of his tithe to bless the needy, before now such a person may have been constantly living under the fear and discomfort brought by the guilt of not paying tithes as instructed by Nigerian church leaders (i.e. you must bring it regularly to your church). But with some of the messages highlighted by Freeze, some people, many people have actually been liberated from that guilt. |
noalistic:Calling God a liar?.. how? Like seriously, why is it so difficult to scripturally back your side of the argument?... Why must your side of the argument always be about "what my pastor said" and not what the bible said?.... And now you automatically equate what the pastor said to be what God said. |
Luvtosyno:The only reason there is a debate on the tithing issue today is because many who pay (and those who advice people to pay) keep condemning and judging those who don't pay as inadequate unfaithful Christians. Now a group of people who dont pay have challenged the status quo by asking pro-tithers to justify their judgemental stance with scriptures. So far, no convincing response from scriptures has been given; only further 'judgement' and insults. |
noalistic:Smh... between the person you quoted who labelled the followers as 'gullible' and yourself who just blasted him as a smelly mouth, abeg who could incur God's wrath faster? |
nduprincekc:There's no such thing as a fuel-less generator; energy cannot be created or destroyed, but can only be converted from one form to another. |
python1:What sort of yeye talk is this?... Only the south west and the north gains from niger delta oil. |
