CampuChan: I suspect the cabal will bring him before the 7th, but the natiional assembly can hardly be thought of as a rubber stamp. They have a formidable foe in Saraki and Dogara, any idea of bringing him for two weeks and then returning him to london would be a hard sell to Saraki. If he comes back, it would neutralise everything; and there's absolutely nothing saraki or dogara can do about it. You reaĺly think saraki and dogara have the clout to push Buhari out?.. haha! |

CampuChan: Guess we won't have to wait very long since the case is in court. The courts would soon force the national assembly to investigate his true state of health. Seems like you've forgotten the country you come from.... You actually feel the court can force a president to resign or handover? Even when the president already appeared in some pictures?.... Except he is brain dead, the cabal wouldn't mind injecting mega doses of adrenalin into heis system and bundling him back to Nigeria to show face for 2 minutes. Some stories already filtered in today that some people sighted the presidential jet moving. |

CampuChan: Being sick and unable to govern is in the constitution. Yeah but that's where there is a problem, the constitution gives room for a sick president to temporarily hand over to his vice while he receives treatment/rest, but does the constitution specifically state how long the president is permitted to be away for? Except it can be proven that the president is permanently incapacitated, the 'unable to govern' clause cannot be invoked. These are the sort of areas that should be made clear and unambiguous in the constitution. If a specific period like '90 days away' which you stated earlier was actually in the constitution, then there wouldn't be any need for thee debates. |

Barrister Ben Onwuka was arrested in 2014 for declaring Biafra and locked up indefinitely under the amiable administration of GEJ, and not a single person or group gave a damn or bothered to protest.
Fastforward to 2015, GEJ loses election and INSTANTLY, all the different pro-secessionist groups suddenly became relevant and the darling of all.
Meanwhile some group of clever-by-half confused Jobathanian theorists keep blaming Buhari for arresting Kanu and claiming GEJ smartly 'ignored' Kanu and IPOB; story for the gods!
No president or monarch sits back and folds his arms while anyone balkanises his kingdom; if the popularity Nnamdi Kanu gained post-2015 elections was gained during the time of GEJ, even GEJ would have had him arrested and the key thrown away. |

Desyner: Yes, I do. So what's your point. Okay... That's fine. If you truly attack the NCC chairman and the communications minister whenever you get poor mtn or Glo network as you claim, then there's nothing strange in you attacking the power minister for the ineptitude of the DISCOS. What is my point?... My point is that since 2014 or so when the DISCOS where handed over to private establishments, there's not much authority the power minister has over them anymore; I even doubt the minister has the power to sack the ditectors of the DISCOS. Except you want the entire privatization to be reversed and the DISCOS handed back to govt, but that would even be a disastrous move as it would attract a protracted litigation which may even ensure the nation is kept in total darkness for a decade. |

The Bible says a man/woman that has eyes on another's spouse is covetous. It further classified covetous people as being wicked...it went further to state that "there is NO PEACE for the wicked". Lol... Every human with blood flowing through their veins admires the beauties of this life and there is nothing wrong in that. Any human who claims they don't is either an inanimate object (e.g. firewood), or just a hypoctitical liar. The man in question is not firewood, he was separated from his other woman and he decided to pick this new one who caught his attention. So how did the story suddenly get this interpretation that it was the woman who TOOK him away?... Are you saying the man is a child or someone under a spell? No peace for the wicked!!! Amarabae: Ipobs again. Kanu visiting Kaduna may spark another anti-Igbo riot that will claim lives and properties of some Igbos. Why can't these people put emotional aside and use their brain. Kanu, don't put the lives of Igbos in kaduna in danger. Danfulani that visited him is an ally of the north sent to woo nnamdi kanu to a trap in kaduna. Igbos, why do we like shooting ourselves in the leg always? Is kaduna a biafran land also? Gosh. But that is actually the intention, i.e. ignite some form of violence against Igbos which will serve two main purposes: (1) Force Igbos in the north back home and (2) Create a basis to attract foreign sympathy to begin the secession process. 2 main reasons ipob has gotten its global popularity today is because of the incarceration of kanu and due to the protesters that were shot specifically at the Aba school. I suppose they want more of such events to occur to gain more momentum. |

BraniacX: Nigeria’s former Finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s unguarded utterances was responsible for plunging Nigeria into recession.
“I still find it funny that most people don’t know why Nigeria economy went into recession, they love the incompetent lies of Lai Mohammed about the past government ruining everything.
“It’s also myopic to think that if Jonathan were to still be in power, we would be worse off.
“The truth about Nigeria’s recession is this; it was caused by the president’s unguided rhetoric and uncultured body language.
“Firstly, there is nothing we are buying today that we weren’t buying 5 years ago, therefore it’s not our purchase that put pressure on Naira but withdrawal of funds by foreign investors.
“After the election, the president created instability with his unguided statements about how everyone is corrupt and how everyone is going to jail. The instability made foreign investors to liquidate their investment and change their money to dollars. In the process of trying to flee, they were willing to buy dollars at any price, which lead to high exchange dollar rate.
“Even though some of them were not ready to run away, but want their money in dollars to save their investments from devaluation, the president gave a bad signal by banning deposit of foreign currency into dormiciliary accounts.
“That was enough for free market believers to see the draconian handwriting on the wall, that was the beginning of dollar rush.
“To make matters worse, the president came up with another outrageous policy of rationing dollar to certain sectors and blocking many sectors out. That was the nail in the coffin which facilitated the emergence of free FALL. In the end, foreign investors took over $80B out of the economy within a short period and everything went down to free fall.
“To those who believe it will be worse if Jonathan is still there, you are all wrong. Policy continuity and political stability will not let billions of dollars leave our shores within such tiny time frame. Even though the government might have income shortage, the private sector will weather the storm by their confidence in the market.
“The fear of the unknown created by PMB is responsible for the economic downturn not low oil price. Interest rate in America is currently at 0.5% while it is 12% in Nigeria. JP Morgan Chase will not mind borrowing $50 billion from Feds at 0.5 and put in Nigeria for return of %2000 profit. Citi bank will do the same, likewise US Bank Corp. Chase gave Buhari warning about the repercussions of his fixing policy before they pulled out, but his illiterate cyber warriors and misseducated e-soldiers said JPMORGAN can go to hell, they no longer believe in economic metrics since their messiah is in charge.
“Funny enough they are all suffering today because of the stupid policy, but they find relief by blaming it on past administration and Gucci appetite of average Nigerians.
“For your information, if your president “continues” with his unguided rhetoric, Naira will go down to N1000/$1. But we thank God, he is no longer talking.” she said.

Christianity Etc › Re: What The Bible Really Says About Women Covering Their Head To Church by obailala(m): 4:57pm On Jul 30, 2017*. Modified: 5:12pm On Jul 30, 2017 |
BrainnewsNg: In the Christian community all over the world there have been an age long argument among some denominations over the covering of “head” or “hair” by women when in church or when praying or performing any spiritual activity.
The anchor scripture in the Holy Bible Christians used for this law as written by Apostle Paul is 1 Corinthians 11 : 2 – 16.
Now, let us look at this portions of the bible with KJV and NIV to see if the Bible really restricted women from going to church or performing any spiritual activities with their “head” or “hair” uncovered.
1 Corinthians 11 : 5 -6 "5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. " - (KJV).
“5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved. 6 For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head." – (NIV)
Again let's look at verses 13 – 15 of the scripture.
“13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? 14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? 15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering." – (KJV)
“13 Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, 15 but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.” – (NIV)
From the above scriptures, the Bible made it clear that a woman who performs any spiritual activity with her “head” uncovered have dishonored her head therefore dishonor her creator. Also the hair of a woman is the woman’s glory and the Bible have made it clear that her “hair” is for the covering of her “head”.
My question now is; did the Bible command women to cover their “hair” while praying? NO.
There’s no place in the Bible that says a woman should cover her “hair” while praying. Please note the two English words “Head” and “Hair”. In the scriptures above, the Holy Bible has repeatedly made it clear that a woman should cover her “head” and not “hair”.
The Bible also in verse 16 of the scripture stated clearly that the long hair of a woman is her glory and for the covering of her HEAD.
Therefore, I stronger oppose the believe that it’s wrong for a woman to go to church or pray with her hair uncovered because the Bible never say so.
A Woman can pray to God with her hair open as long her head is covered with her hairs.
Source: http://brainnewsng.com/what-holy-bible-really-says-about-women-covering-their-head-to-church/ My dear you completely contradicted yourself with this post; you quoted 2 bible verses but your conclusion was the exact opposite of the verses quoted. "...For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off..."A close look at the above sentence tells me that the 'head' being talked about already has hair on it; else, the verse wouldnt have gone further to say you might as well cut off the hair if you dont want to cover it. The instructions from those verses are very very clear and there's absolutely no ambiguity over the 'head vs hair' issue as you claim. The instructions are very clear, cover your head (hair) when engaging in spiritual activity; if you dont want to cover it up, then shave off all your hair. There might be some other verses somewhere which permits women to leave their hair open, but it's certainly not those two verses you quoted. |

Adminisher: "Forgetness" goes with forgiveness. If you have not forgotten you have not forgiven. I have the same issues with some things. Believe me you are not a good xtian if you don't forget hurts, slights or insults. Most times we tend to pick the trivial examples when we preach this sermon (e.g. hurts, slights and insults) and we quickly forget we are in a real world where nothing is really that simple. What if a neighbour or close friend attempts to slit your throat over a little disagreement, if you forgive such a person, do you think it would be possible or even sensible to forget the threat such a person posses to your life?... If such a person even apologises profusely, would you still ever trust such a person with a blade close to your neck? We need to embrace reality and stop painting an impossible picture of Christianity. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Forgive & Forget: I Don't Forget, Does That Mean I Have Not Forgiven? by obailala(m): 10:13am On Jul 30, 2017 |
I can only forgive, but forgetting doesnt seem practical or even sensible.
If someone attempts to slit my throat but fails, whether the person comes to apologise or not, I can forgive such a person and have no ill feelings towards him/her, but forgetting the threat the person posses to me would be a foolish thing to do, and I refuse to be foolish. |
