6000% though Sometimes I keep wondering what will happen in Nigeria is we finally succumb and devalue, petrol prices will suddenly skyrocket to about N140/litre and it's either a massive protest starts again across the nation or the FG will be forced to resume payment of subsidies. Obviously the price of all imported commodities from rice to tomato paste will also double. God help us! |
9jatriot:I always said it that PDP is best suited as an opposition party, now for the first time in Nigeria's democratic history, we have a NASS that is actually scrutinising the budget. If this isn't a great benefit of CHANGE, what else is? |
comos:Where would the power come from when the power companies claim they dont have enough revenue to even operate the present facilities, let alone improve? I would rather say, "pre-paid meters before increment." With that, we know we only pay for what we use. |
XaintJoel20: suxkill:FYI, SR are the oldest members of the wailers club, they've been wailing against every single FG since the days of OBJ. Unfortunately many did not have access to the internet then so only realised the existence of SR under the days of GEJ. |
abacrested:GEj awarded the contract but how much did he actually release? That is the real issue; awarding 1000 contracts (for political favour) but releasing next to zero funds for their execution, the 2015 budget had virtually zero naira for project execution so the contractors simply abandoned the job a day after. Hopefully some funds may have been budgeted for the road in this year's budget, but let's wait until we see the complete breakdown of the works budget for 2016 before this wailing continues. I remember sometime in late January, Ekweremmadu complained that only N10billion was budgeted by Fashola for the Enugu-PH road. I understand changes may have been made to the budget figures since then but let's do the right thing by waiting till the authentic breakdown is released before this wailing continues. http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/2016/01/2016-budget-cant-work/ |
Love Machine:Yes they do, it's for safety reasons so people dont walk into the tracks and get crushed. Another reason could also be to prevent people from being electrocuted as might be the case for electric trains. Some areas in the UK for instance also have high fences because its a common occurrence for thieves to enter, vandalise and steal copper cables used for powering trains ![]() |
Love Machine:Train tracks (within cities) are meant to be fenced to prevent thoroughfare, it's for safety reasons. |
frleopardo:Everyone who doesn't agree with you must be Yoruba, how intelligent! in fact you should be clapping for yourself for your 'special' wisdom. Okay, I am YORUBA, if that makes you sleep well at night. Now you can get off my mentions and allow me rest... |
wasiudvd: Mboi:The tribal battle entered the beer parlour topic; Hero vs. Trophy, which beer one sweet pass? ![]() All these NL Yoruba/Igbo tribalists una no go kill person ![]() |
frleopardo:You are inconsequential in the scheme of things and your opinion about my origins is as useless as the last 's' in the word 'useless,' I would advise you to stick that worthless opinion up your a*s. Regarding the topic, it is a free world, so you are absolutely free to reason in whatever way you choose to reason. You can as well go and join ipob in their protests at Aba since that is obviously where you are driving at. |
tonychristopher:Some people just cant look beyond their nose to get a message; it's indeed a shame. Oga Tony, I did not say anyone should not patronise, stop acting like a scorned wife living in a face me I face you apartment. I only advised that the Op use a more patronising tone or else a thread which should have bren a good thread will be derailed into a tribal battle again as usual. Even before the first page ended, it had already degenerated into tribal battle. Wisdom is indeed very rare, except of course the Op intentionally wanted it to be a tribal fight. |
The mega bucks that criminal businessmen and bankers are making from this round-tripping deals is completely frustrating every effort by the CBN to manage the value of the naira. I think the best/only option now may just be to devalue and let the currency float seeing that there's basically no way in which these criminal elements can be checkmated. A very bitter pill to swallow though. ![]() |
Jude vs Peter Paul vs Police/LASTMA ![]() Seems these guys just woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. |
Olabestonic001:Dont get me wrong, I support buying made in Aba products and I believe that when the market (patronage) grows, issues of product quality would be a thing of the past. I personally have a cc: Mboi |
fastestfinger:Truth and words of wisdom don't always sound like a melody in the ears of those being told. Inordinate exhibitionism is not a 'positive' attitude at all; while you think you are 'saying something good' and displaying a superiority complex, what you actually do is exhibit a sad inferiority complex and lack of esteem. But then, I don't expect you to understand what I'm saying. |
tubouncen:Lol.. Family business ![]() |
Na wa... So this rubbish doesnt happen only in Nigeria? |
99100:GEJ for 2019? ![]() Even Otuoke will not vote for him; heck! even Mama P will not vote for him. |
frleopardo:Abughim onye ofe mmanu, abum onye n'eji isi ya eche echiche. I know a lot of you ipob guys wish and pray that the value was 2.9bn so you can justify your delusions and street madness, but sorry, here is an extract from the report by dailytimes which summarises the budget breakdown: "For the South-East, it showed that some important projects are concession of 2nd Niger Bridge in Anambra and Delta States, N17 billion;" http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/budget-s-west-gets-lion-s-share-of-projects/133692.html In your delusion, only you knows what you mean by "N17billion is a seperate project for niger bridge," I suppose this 'separate' project is on the moon and it's not part of the Works Ministry's budget right?... And what do you mean by "second niger bridge will benefit the SS more"? how old are you even? ![]() |
PRXPERT:I was only giving an example with the Sagamu-benin road; obviously not a good example because most of the road falls in the SW. But then, from the report by daily times, it clearly included the nigerbridge as a project in the SE. And by the way, what does my claim to be Igbo have to do with this issue? Are tou okay? Why cant some grown up adults understand that not everyone is given to some foolish clannishness? Some of you can really be irritating. I guess in your wisdom, since I am Igbo then it means I should always put my common sense at bay and start wailing senselessly over non-issues?... I'm sorry bro, if that's the criteria for being Igbo in your small world, then I happily reject being Igbo. But that does not mean you can change who I am. Thanks |
PRXPERT:You are certainly a man who wishes and prays that the 2.9billion story is true so you can justify your yeye paranoia and keep shouting and dancing about how the world hates and bullies and oppresses you. But sorry, apply a bit of common sense and kindly tell me how N17billion for 2nd Niger bridge project is included under SE but yet the total sums up to 2.9billion? |
Abeg which position is called 'public office'? ![]() |
For the first time, I agree with FFK ![]() |
STARGREEN:Which tempo? |
sirade:Most road projects span more that one zone, e.g. the Sagamu-Benin road was listed in the SW (probably cos most of it falls in the SW). |
Naija9090:Op have you ever bothered to ask yourself why it is only dailytrust that has carried this news of 2.9billion for the south east? Have you also bothered to ask yourself why the report counts as a project in the SE, N17billion for the 2nd Niger Bridge, but it ends up saying the total for the SE is 2.9billion? Have you also ever bothered to ask yourself why Ekweremmadu complained that only N10billion was earmarked for the Enugu-PH road and N3billion for the Onitsha-Enugu road: http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/2016/01/2016-budget-cant-work/ Yet even with the above, Dailytrust still states that the total for the SE is N2.9billion? Dont you think the right thing to do is to wait until we get clearer reportage of these figures before we start opening threads to wail? |
AtlanticBreeze:Lol.. Ok he's an enemy of ndigbo. I guess this will now help ur ministry. |
rozayx5:There was never really a ban on rice. Instead only a few monopolistic government favoured big men were allowed to import. Nigeria has always imported rice, go and get your facts right. |
TippyTop:You've been posting this same pics about since today as if the spirit of anonimi has possessed you. ![]() By the way, everybody knows Mr Sheriff is a very heavy moral baggage, he was virtually expelled from the APC sometime in 2014 for this very reason as no one wanted to associate with him. He then ran into the welcoming arms of a desperate GEJ and PDP accepted him as one of their stalwarts. So please can you kindly point out the APC fan or fans who were hailing Modu Sheriff for allegedly crossing to APC? |
Teddeebear:So in essense you are saying the Yorubas are bullying Igbos?... Tufia gi!. That is very rubbish reasoning. The only people people hindering the success are the useless unpatriotic set of Igbo leaders who only sleep, wake, wine, dine and collect chieftaincy titles for achieving nothing when they return from Abuja. Today we have people like TA Orji representing Igbos in Abuja and you are here telling me Yorubas are out problem?... All man for himself, while other leaders of other ethnic nationalities are hustling for their people, what are Igbo leaders doing? |

Perhaps, Buhari has not paid December and January salaries. same fate some federal civil servants are battling with..
