TheGoodJoe:As the saying goes, "breeze don blow fowl ass open." I can only imagine what has been scaling through in all other past budgets we've been having in this country. This is definitely a new beginning, thanks to social media and thanks to (some of) the angry wailers. Like I always said before the election, having a party like the PDP in the opposition would be in the best interest of Nigeria and Nigerians. The criminal hawks we have in the APC would continually have their wings clipped. That being said, only God knows why Buhari and his vice hasn't spoken or done a thing about this trending embarrassment. I have no doubts in my mind however that following this expose, something drastic in the form of a surgical review would be done on this budget. But Buhari needs to sit up and realise that we're no longer in 1980's were there were only a few identifiable loopholes; if he continues in this way, I'm afraid he may just be messed up really badly by those around him even worse than it happened to GEJ. |
The fact remains that Nigeria is a very corrupt nation filled with criminals in high and low places. As the president struggles to block leaking holes, more holes will be punctured in other areas and that is exactly what we are witnessing today. Buhari needs to cut his silly everyday foreign trips, sit his old ass down with every single person involved and thoroughly scrutinize this embarrassment of a budget because if care is not taken, the same thing that happened to GEJ would soon happen to Buhari. The only hope and faith I have though is that as soon as these illegalities are discovered, I have a believe something will be done about it unlike in the past when discoveries like these are usually covered-up and passionately defended by the president himself and his cronies. Amazingly, for the fear of repercussions, people in power are already coming out in droves to deny and denounce the sleaze. I do not need a soothsayer to tell me that more illegalities will be discovered, but eventually, I believe these leaking holes (that have always been a traditional part of Nigerian budgets) will be plugged. Sweeping corruption out can only be a gradual process but at least we now have a president who is interested in going down that dreary road; whether he will succeed or not is a question only the gods can answer. Meanwhile I can see all these Jonathanian wailers having a filled day trying to prove that someone else can be as corruptly useless as their lord and saviour GEJ, but then, they only chase after the wind. |
anonimi:You can continue in your desperate bid but I can assure you that you are wasting your time like a person searching for ditt in distilled water. Regarding juju, it is obvious that the juju affecting anonimi and making him post pictures indiscriminately, that juju must be very strong. Hopefully your case will not degenerate to posting of satellite pictures like emperor musiwa. ![]() |
“Those who are neck deep in the sewage of corruption ensure that they splatter sewage in all possible and improbable directions.” - Prof W. Soyinka All I see from this report and thread is a desperate bid by the wailing lovers of corruption to drag Buhari's name into their cesspit of corruption. If an employee of Buhari decides to steal, he will be investigated and brought to book. We are no longer in the old order where the president and defender in chief of looters upon hearing of a case of corruption levelled against someone would jump into instant defensive mode even before he gets the details and start blabbing things like 'stealing is not corruption.' I wouldn't forget in a hurry how a certain sitting president when asked by CNN about the leaked ekiti election tape quickly blurted out that it was a fabricated recording; and this was just a day after 2 of those in the tapes had ready admitted to their involvement. Walahi.. I will forever be grateful to God for delivering Nigeria from that order. |
SamJed:The funny truth is that it is only jonathanian wailers that still mumuishly think elections are next week hence they scramble for threads like this and start thumbprinting 'likes' as if their life depends on it. ![]() The buharists don't need to waste their time clicking the 'like' button when we already know we are winners, mature ke! ![]()

macfarland:Bro you can say what you want to say or believe what you want to believe, but even a dead mosquito knows that GEJ takes the crown as the more corrupt and clueless one amongst both men; in fact it's an insult to even attempt to compare both men. But yeah, you are free to believe what makes you happy. ![]() |
OLADD:Ahaaa! Finally, you are now shifting away from the feeding allocations to more reasonable things. If you remember, one of the first things I advised you was to restrict you criticism to factual things and not some lousy hearsay rumours peddled by some dubious blogs. I specifically pointed out to you that there were several 'genuine' issues in the budget which needed your attention and criticism, but you chose to stick with the fictitious feeding budget which you quoted. Now while you have done the noble thing by shifting from the N1.7bn argument, you still in your stubbornness, closed with the statement "as far as the Nigerian public is concerned today" but I ask, who is this Nigerian public you talk about?... I'm sure you obviously mean people like yourself who shamelessly prefer to stick with a clearly false story all because you think it suits your political narrative. |
OLADD:This is the reason why people fail exams. The budget document has been made public, yet you still expect Adesina and Garba to leave whatever they are doing to come and answer to some people that have refused to use their God given intelligence by reading the budget which has already been made public? I was even gracious enough to post you a link where the budget figures were analysed just so you dont go through the stress of perusing the entire budget yet you still insist? Kaii! some humans are indeed irredeemable; OLADD you are definitely an OLODO, a very stubborn one at that ![]() http://www.theheraldng.com/re-presidency-to-spend-n114-m-not-n1-7b-on-feeding/ http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/195903-buhari-to-spend-more-than-jonathan-on-presidential-villa-to-spend-less-on-food.html |
Choiii... Privacy has gone to the dogs. |
OLADD:This issue was raised by some propaganda blogs before the budget was released to the public, it was debated fiercely and the falsehood was crushed when the budget was eventually made public. Like I said earlier, there are many genuine issues wrong with the budget which you can criticise, but desperately dwelling on your fictitious N1.7bn feeding figure even after being corrected speaks volumes on your level of awareness. A simple advice, the 2016 budget is a public document. Go and download it and stop basing your arguments on hearsays from igbereTv et al. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/195903-buhari-to-spend-more-than-jonathan-on-presidential-villa-to-spend-less-on-food.html |
CSTR2:..And what do you mean by kumbaya? |
chiefobdk:The senseless hatred for other tribes is what is slowing down the progress. |
How can anyone even think of returning GEJ?... The only reason Nigeria hasn't totally crashed today is because of the tight fisted nature of PMB. If GEJ won that election, we would have been plunged into a recession worse than the Venezuelan situation by now and we probably would have been standing on long queues today to receive one cup of rice from UN / WHO representatives. |
Tranquilised ke... It's lucky it didnt stray into Nigeria, it would have been used as a dead model for several selfies, just like oga lion below. https://www.nigerianewsheadlines.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/butchered.jpg https://www.36ng.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/lion3.jpg?9edf6e And then finally butchered for its meat ![]() https://www.36ng.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/lion1.jpg?9edf6e Naija I hail! ![]() |
drss:Lol... bro don't you think you were born in the wrong continent?... |
Why must everything be tribalised in Nigeria?.... Why must some imbeciles try to paint every single thing in tribal colours?? Obviously, only shallow brained insecure sub-humans tribalise everything. ![]() |
Obviously PDP is the light while APC is darkness (according to the bishop). Meanwhile the wailers wouldn't label this one a political pastor now, but when Fr Mbaka visits and prays for PMB, they will open their mouths wide and start blabbing. Issorait! |
Interesting! we are getting there gradually. Very soon we shall be producing the complete planes. |
tiwiex:How can you pay 22k when you claim you have no light? |
OLADD:The feeding budget is not N1.7 billion. Stop embarrassing yourself. |
dunkem21:I my name Lai? |
Lol... Seems like the man writes spiritual letter bombs that ends political careers. ![]() www.nairaland.com/attachments/1082877_OBJ_jpg68d9f0d845e2acc955cae019adcf206d |
OLADD:Ignorance is cured by education, the medicine to treat ignorance is information, but when the ignorance is fuelled purely by the emotions of deep seated hatred, it is obvious that such a case of ignorance is incurable except maybe through spiritual means. FYI, the feeding budget was never N1.7 billion hence everything you just stated is poo; go and seek spiritual help. |
Atlantian:Resign?... Have you ever seen an African leader resign?... If he resigns what next?... Your hatred for Buhari shaa |
Eagle75:My comment u quoted was a direct response to a statement by someone. I wasnt defending any irregularity. |
tinktanker:E be like say the otapiapia no reach u. |
Nigerian security forces na wa. Whatever happened to the idea of using tear gas to disperse a crowd?.... Why must there be firing of live bullets into crowds of unarmed people? ![]() |
I thought all these ipob people had left nairaland ![]() |
AlfaSeltzer:Bro what bondage exactly?... Hausa and Yoruba bondage or bondage from our very own worthless leaders?... What powers do the Hausas or Yorubas have to subject the whole Igbos to bondage?.... Some people need to wake up from this delusion and realise that Nigeria is like a jungle where representatives of every tribe go to abuja to fight for the interest of their people. The questions we should be asking is what the recent crop of Igbo leaders do with their time when they get to abuja. But it seems we are more fixated on passing the blame to leaders from other tribes and regions who are simply fighting for the interests of their people. It is rather embarrassing that a large population of the Igbo race today thinks the best solution to a leadership and economic problem is to run away from Nigeria simply because we cannot compete with our peers. |
Mboi:Okay yeah, they are a national disgrace. I am hiding my face now. |
RightBoo: ![]() Fear catch me 4 d guy English spellings and grammar, and then I saw the Igbo spellings.. ![]() |
