"...The police later received an order from the Governor, who allegedly ordered them to shoot at the protesting the doctors."Rochas ordered the police to shoot and kill the doctors? Politics can be interesting at times. But it's stories like this that make the social media bill necessary. Any slowpoke can just open a free blog and start disseminating his/her gruesome imaginations as news; and of course the target audience are mainly sentimental buffoons in society who sit idly in their kiosks wishing and praying to hear this kind of stories, so they care less about verification. |
Anybody that sees the picture from this second angle and still throws insults at Pa Buhari for sitting on a wrong seat, such a person must be a self inflicted blind dolt. https://i.imgur.com/UJtwfAE.jpg?1 |
obyrich:With APC wielding all the powers at Abuja, do you really think the APC would want to amend that law before 2019 knowing that the status-quo would favour them in the 2019 elections? I think that is what the Op is trying to point out; it is the PDP that should be pushing to amend that law now. |
Lol... ![]() But can we see another view of the picture? |
I expected Udom to win his case, I don't think APC has enough supporters in Akwa Ibom, especially not after the performance of Akpabio. However I definitely expected a rerun in Rivers and an outright victory for Otti in Abia. Hopefully the supreme court justices know what they are doing; I hope these kind of rulings wouldn't fuel a do-or-die election in 2019. Congratulations to all the winners, now we can move forward. |
Which kain story be this? Frontpage! ![]() |
Very typical in most Naija government universities, especially at 100 level, too bad! |
lender:The thread is talking about trains, real 21st century trains running on standard gauge rails tracks. We aren't talking of pre-1960 refurbished narrow gauge scrap metals rail tracks here, this is 2016. |
Ikology:Acknowledge who biko? |
Obiagelli:You know I was actually wondering myself how these topics never got to the FP and just disappeared without a trace from the politics section. Oga Lalasticlala, Seun, mynd44, OAM4J, make una com see beta news oh! |
Hmmm |
Why should the British government re-arrest a man that has not only been freed, but a man that has actually even completed his jail time?? The UK government is headed by a tyrant!! The UK government has no regards for human rights!! The UK government disobeys court orders!! The UK authorities has no regards for the 'Rule of Law'!! Bla bla bla!!!! |
wytecat:And where did you get that impression from that 'his region opposed it'?... Why dont you get your facts right before coming online to make comments? |
ojoyentalk: FADEO:Halelluia! |
neocortex:It is a good thing to maintain ones pride, it is also good to sometimes compromise a little if it can benefit your people. However, my comment was only to correct a misconception that Mugabe and Zimbabweans ran their country to the ground the very moment the whites left because they were incapable of managing their farms and their economy without the whites. No doubt, the country was brought to a halt the moment the whites left, but ascribing that misfortune to the incapacity of Zimbabwean people is an even greater evil than the evil the western powers themselves did to the country. The real reason Zimbabwe's economy crashed is because the western powers decided to punish/maltreat/assault/molest the entire country because Mugabe refused to bow and play ball. |
Guyman02:Lol... Guy, that model is a toy and can't fetch nothing in the US, except of course the lad has got other skills. |
The African hero, a man whose only noble and heroic deed / achievement was to step down after losing a democratic election. Africa is certainly a jungle. ![]() |
Everything in Nigeria is a anomaly; I'm afraid it would take several generations for these systematic anomalies to be solved. ![]() |
Huh? Is it me or does anyone else think this makes absolutely no sense?... Or could it be that I am missing a part of the story?... What is special about a person creating a prototype design of a car?... If a moulded prototype of a car can fetch American scholarship, then I guess sculptors on the streets should start moulding rockets, maybe Tambuwal will send them to NASA. ![]() |
Where is the CBN when you need them? |
Hallelluia! For anyone who cares to know, news like this is the exact reason why I supported Buhari to be president in 2011 and in 2015. If all Buhari can achieve in 4 years is for people like Maina to be jailed, then his presidency would be a success to me. |
Bevista:And you really think it's because Zimbabwean local farmers did not know how to farm, that was why their economy crashed the moment white farmers left??.... If you believe that story, then I'm sure you would also believe every trashy propaganda churned out by western media. For a country which mainly produces and exports 'perishable' farm produce, what do you think would be the fate of such a nation when western powers places export embargoes on them?? How else would they convert their produce to money if they can't sell it easily?? Using the Nigerian example you gave, assuming all foreign oil workers are chased away from Nigeria and then western powers places an embargo on Nigerian oil exports, do have an idea what that would do to our nation??... And probably when that happens, the international media would claim it's because Nigerians don't have 'sufficient know-how' to handle the oil and gas industry, a statement which we all know is a bloody lie. |
andresia:Mugabe did not run Zimbabwe aground like the media always makes you believe; the western nations crippled Zimbabwe's economy themselves because Mugabe refused to bow to most of their pressures. For a country which produces and exports farm produce, the economy can be grounded instantly once western powers places an embargo on their exports. |
What is the Op even talking about?... Not a single Nigerian city of 2016 comes anywhere close to London of 1830 in terms of planning and development. |
Baroba:Yes Olu Olu has a good market but the next time you go into those shops, just take a look at most of the labels one by one and you would be shocked where most of those items you buy come from including simple things like garri or palm oil. I once saw tinned banga paste which had 'Nigeria' written on it, but upon reading the label, I realised it was Nigerian palm fruit processed to a paste and tinned in Ghana; I was sad. There is really no reason why the bananas on the shelves in tesco/asda etc should not be from Nigeria, but if you check, they are mostly from Cameroon, Ivory coast or Columbia. The truth is that we can do much more than we are doing presently. |
On a serious note, the 2016 budget is not inspiring at all. What on earth is the government doing to radically promote agriculture and solid minerals' development?? All we hear about is 'a plan' to focus on these two areas but I am yet to see or hear of what this plan is all about. The 2016 budget doesn't even make any 'inspiring' provisions for these ministries to give one the impression that they are serious about diversification. |
I really hate reading expositions like this, they just leave one feeling really sad and depressed. Things like this just removes all the doubt in my mind about the black man being under a very heavy spell, a spell which we can only break by ourselves. For God's sake, why can't the black man ever just get anything done right?? Even with this expose, I don't believe the FG in its lazy nonchalant ways will still do anything about this, I am not surprised by the cold response of the solid minerals' ministry to the author's proposals; I must confess, I have gradually started losing confidence. Meanwhile just a while ago, the same Kayode Fayemi was literally begging the Yanks to come help us develop the solid minerals' industry. |

Lol... These jokers have resorted to kidnapping and other subtle acts of terrorism. Let them kill the foreigners and watch their villages obliterated, they forget Nigeria is still a jungle. |
