cheruv:Inferiority complex is when you feel the need to respond to every single riffraff who throws insults/slurs at you. I believe it's a free world and I reserve the rights to think different from the crowd. In my opinion, I believe the greatest denigrators of the Igbo nation today are the ipob guys and their followers who have allowed themselves to be mentally enslaved in a little paranoid box where every single setback is blamed on others. I regard this as a perfect symptom of a loss of self esteem and confidence and if not checked urgently, the great Igbo nation will only be reduced to a laughing stock which no one takes seriously. You may disagree with me but this is my opinion. |
Lol... I thought some people said they wanted rule of law?... now the same rule of law is about to boot out some of their heroes for forgery, they now wail agianst rule of law and put the blame on PMB. ![]() |
What about the money to finance the project?... Siting a new federal university in Delta state is not a bad idea, however upgrading an already existing Oron institute to university standard appears to be a cheaper and more easily achievable option. |
sol2galay:Simply ignore the attacks... A lot of our people are cowed into silence by those attacks and that's why it appears today that we don't have reasonable thinkers (obviously only the empty vessels appear to be talking). But if you keep being intimidated and maintain your silence, we all risk a pathetic situation whereby everyone is classified together as empty vessels. Simply ignore the threats and insults and speak your mind. |
Silence is not always golden and idiocy is usually very infectious! To say a lot of misguided, emotional and unsound Igbos have totally rubbished the image of the Igbos nation since the days of GEJ till date is an understatement. With the criminal silence of reasonable Igbos, the idiocy of the unsound empty vessels has spread like an infectious virus at an alarming rate. The continued silence of reasonable Igbos continues to make matters even worse. That the opinions of the Igbo nation today around the world is now taken as a joke is a very painful but frightening unfolding reality which is caused by the senseless utterances of a 'few many,' and the criminal silence of the wise majority; this embarrassing trend really needs to be checked. @SamjohnnyB and the FB author, I do not know who you are, but if you are Igbo, then I urge you to ignore the imbecilic comments from the imbeciles who insult you. This criminal silence of sensible Igbos cannot continue, more people need to speak up to prevent the Igbo nation from being completely written off as a bunch of jokers all because of the brazen foolishness of a few. |
Late Abubakar Audu as a Case Study Steals his state blind, is arrested and investigated after his immunity expires, taken to court even in handcuffs, but the RUSE OF LAW frees him. https://newsrescue.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/abubakar-audu-1.jpg He returns to contest again for the governorship. Part of campaign promises being, "Audu will return the N11bn he stole if elected – APC" Chairman. Thanks to the RUSE OF LAW, statements like this can be made only in Nigeria. He wins the election, but then sadly pays the ultimate price. http://dailypost.ng/2015/10/04/kogi-guber-audu-will-return-the-n11bn-he-stole-if-elected-apc-chairman/ Similarly almost all ex-governors in Nigeria who became instant billionaires after public office are still enjoying their loots and obscene wealth today to the detriment of Nigeria and Nigerians; thanks to our peculiar RUSE OF LAW. |
noblezone:There is absolutely no excuse or reasonable justification for such a disparity in cut-off points, as a matter of fact, the whole quota system and federal character rubbish is one of the biggest reasons why Nigeria is backwards. Something I dont like however is how some unscrupulous elements (not you) at some point on this forum have always made it look like it's a problem which affects only Igbos. Such a policy can never be fought with such mentalities. |
Late Abubakar Audu of Kogi state was also handcuffed at some point. Though because of ' https://newsrescue.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/abubakar-audu-1.jpg |
I wouldn't normally do this but I am compelled based on this revelation to scream "END TIME TAILOR" Meanwhile somebody would soon come and defend this sleaze purely based on tribe or other flimsy sentiments. |
Lol.. thread filled with a multitude of jonathanian dullards who read but cant comprehend jack; they rather prefer to excitedly jump around unclad exposing their ignorance. Reason behind the lull in the economy has been succinctly explained, but it would be silly expecting empty skulls to comprehend this. . . And yes, to add to the explanations by Emefiele, the impact of the prevailing issues would definitely not have been this bad if Nigeria had sufficient saved forex funds to cushion the effects. |
GenIgrigi:What has Igbo got to do with this?... Obviously another fertile opportunity to claim the world is witch hunting Igbos because NCCF is owned and exclusively comprised of Igbos. I salute! |
Beautiful news. This is the kind of progressive news I love to hear. This is one area where the new FG seem not to have impressed me at all. I expected that by now we would have heard of some monumental radical policies to promote agriculture on a nationwide scale but nothing seems to be happening to prove that the government really wants to diversify anything. |
I'm sick of always hearing of only Igbo Igbo Igbo issues all over Nigeria since Buhari won this election last year. Sometimes a foreigner would wonder if Igbo is the only tribe in Nigeria. Buhari hates Igbos, Bubati hates Igbos!!.. but as much as I totally agree with that statement, I also believe that hate is reciprocal; Igbos also hate buhari more than the devil himself. This is now getting too boring If metusellah was put in cuffs and so what?... did he share his part of the loot with anyone? ![]() And may thunder fire anyone that quotes me to say rubbish. |
Abubakar Audu on handcuffs https://newsrescue.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/abubakar-audu-1.jpg Tafa Balogun on handcuffs https://www.nigerianmuse.com/images/Balogun_Tafa_handcuffed.jpg Whatever the reason is for hancuffing metusellah, only God knows, but hancuffing suspects is not a new thing. If you cant stand the heat, leave the kitchen. |
vanbonattel:Which west?... wetin concern me concern west?... and wetin concern me concern EFCC or law court. You know what happened when the angel of death flew into egypt and left death and destruction of firstborns in its wake?... Households with the blood of the lamb above their door lintels were spared. In that same light, I am not a thief and I don't glorify thieves so I have absolutely nothing to worry about. ![]() Meanwhile you and your ilk in the guise of political opposition have taken it upon yourselves to become the devil's advocate. There's hardly any criminal arrested today in Nigeria (irrespective or tribe, ethnicity or religion) which you dont jump in to defend all because you think that is what it means to oppose buhari. |
BiafranPrince:And I ask again, charge buhari to ICC for which crime?... For winning the hero of lootacracy in a democratic election against the wish of majority south easterners?... Or the incarceration of a treasonous fellow?.... Go educate yourself on the history of people being taken to the ICC, mostly despotic leaders who directly or indirectly sanctioned the deaths of multitudes of their people in ethnic cleansing exercises. Nobody has even bothered to take Gowon to ICC for the civil war genocide but you want to jump and take a fresh president Buhari to ICC because he booted out your incompetent lord and saviour GEJ 'through a democratic, free and fair election.' Chaiii! These wailings keep taking on a more childish dimension as the days go bye. You know how it is when a child is deprived of akara balls or milkose sweet, and then he packs a small bag and says he's leaving the house?.. That's exactly how I view this whole secessionist charade... Meanwhile oyibo man don catch ipob maga ![]()
|
vanbonattel:Lol.. worst president because he kicked out your lord and saviour Jona or because he threatens to crush criminals who bomb pipelines?... Accept my sympathy bro... I think I feel your pain, keep wailing in peace till 2023 ![]() |
BiafranPrince:Because he won your candidate in an election, you instantly become a separatist. Your threats to secede did not work, now you will sue buhari to ICC?... This una wailings eh.. only God knows the next futile steps you will be taking by 2019. But remember, who God has blessed, no man can curse, I remember this saying from the GEJ-till-2019 days ![]() |
icankel:I never said serving meals is the primary aim of govt, but you can quote me anywhere when I say human capital development is one of the most important responsibilities of any government especially in developing economies like ours. Strategies like this to encourage people to go and stay in school especially in the educationally disadvantaged northern Nigeria is a welcome development as long as it is sustainable. The positive effects of human capital development like this will only be felt in the long term. Unfortunately, a typical African only sees the short term, hence to many, it would be very difficult to appreciate the potential value of such a program. And yeah, about the furniture, it is important, and I suppose the government in the state in question already has plans to sort that out based on their budget. But then, we can never underestimate the futility of teaching kids on an empty stomach. |
Spybradd:You mean I should come down and join you in your filthy garage hole where you wail night and day?... Sorry I'd pass, thanks ![]() |
Oil sold for average of $100 during the past regime, the highest average any regime in Nigeria's history has every attained. What did they do with it?... They shared amongst themselves, private jets became okada in Abuja and even the president bragged about it in Kenya. Oil price suddenly drops, and by May 2015, every possible economic indices from forex reserves to GDP growth rate to value of the Naira had tumbled and was sinking faster than a ship with a gaping hole in its hull. Now the same dullardinhos who wanted that disaster to continue for another 4 years are here blaming a new government for not being able to perform miraculous revival of the economy when oil now sells for $28. They want the new miracle workers to diversify the economy in 8 months, a feat their heroes couldn't achieve in 16 years, yet they wanted these 'heroes' to still keep ruling. Na strong thunder go fire all of una there!.. Anyway, wasn't expecting much more from a character who has phocked his brains out ![]() |
Agreement signed by madam Kemi.

CuteSheriff:Hypocrite?... Can you honestly come in front of an international audience to debate the benefits of the 'meal-a-day' policy compared to 'stomach infrastructure?... Is this what politics reduces people to?... What is stomach-infrastructure?... Probably a once in a year sharing bags of rice and live chicken to workers and policemen who you already pay salaries?... At least I can authoritatively tell you that the meal-a-day policy would boost human capital development in the states concerned as it will definitely encourage a lot of parents to send their kids to school. The effectiveness of teaching and learning in a full stomach cannot also be overemphasised when compared with teaching a bunch of hungry kids. The meal-a-day policy will also employ directly and indirectly, a lot of people who will do the cooking and serving, not to talk of those who will supply the food items daily. Now kindly tell me what stomach infrastructure aims to achieve on the short, medium or long term which makes you want to equate it to the meal-a-day policy? |
Tinubutoto:Investigation is an ongoing process and it will continue at least until the person is slammed in jail by a judge if found guilty. So yes, investigations can still continue even after the person is already being prosecuted. If a suspect is charged to court based on available evidence, nothing stops the prosecution from continuing its investigations to unearth more evidence to support their case, and if more evidences surface, more charges can be prepared. There is no where in the world where the constitution says investigations should stop after a suspect has been charged to court; there is also nowhere in the Nigerian constitution where it says the police or EFCC or any investigating institution does not have a right to bring up more charges after the suspect has been charged for a previous one. I am not a lawyer, I do not need to be a lawyer to know this, IT IS COMMON SENSE!!!... You can spend your life defending people that robbed you blind, but I thank God that for the first time in a long time, Nigeria is led by a person who doesn't give a damn about such illogical wailings. |
TheArchangel:Are you for real?... Are you aware that the same NOI was still the finance minister as at May 29th 2015?... Ignorance is no excuse in this matter, go and read about how bad things had already fallen as at the time of handover when oil was even still selling above $60/barrel. You obviously started taking note of how bad things were after the polity had calmed down following handover. As at the 2nd quarter of 2015, the much touted Nigeria's GDP growth rate had already crashed to 2.3%, that's like it's lowest since 1999. Also in just a few months of the oil price crash (from November 2014 to May 2015), the Naira had crashed from about N170 to $1 to about N220. I wouldn't want to mention the steady decline in the nation's forex reserves within this same period and the fact that as at February/March 2015, even the FG had to borrow money to pay common worker's salaries. It was also within this same period that the FG could not pay subsidy arrears (since August 2014) and that led to the fuel scarcity we had in May 2015 and also the most recent fuel scarcity because even the new government delayed in paying off those debts. Now within this period in view, oil prices still sold above $60/barrel and you really think NOI was such a miracle worker? |
Ola17:Well, from pictures I could google, Lamido and sons were not in cuffs when they were escorted by prison officials. Though I stumbled into pictures of Tafa Balogun and the late Abubakar Audu in handcuffs so this isn't a really new development. |
Ola17:Well some have just pointed out that when Nigerian Prison Service brings suspects to court, they use handcuffs (as is the case presently). But when EFCC or DSS brings suspects from their custody to court, they don't put them on cuffs. Could this be a reasonable explanation for this?... I hope to find out before the day ends. |
Hmmm... This is an interestingly strange development. With the amount of yams he has consumed, I doubt he would be physically fit enough to run away; so why did they have to handcuff him?... Even the NIMASA guy who visibly resisted arrest and was bundled into the EFCC danfo bus, he wasn't handcuffed in his last appearance in court. What could be the explanation for this? |
Buhari should be blamed for this ![]() |
Tinubutoto:Arrest is part of investigation and arrest is required for prosecution, you should have been able to read that in my last post. And a piece of advice, stop weeping over the welfare of some criminal moneybags who stole your money, you are not even related to these guys and they didn't give you a dime from their loot. Stop having sleepless nights over the welfare of people that don't give a damn about your existence. |
