I do not wish to engage you again... Do you know why? You fall short of my expectations. What sort of a man refers to his supposed people and place as THEY? Even if you disagree with them on political issues, it still should be WE. I hope you get my drift. Your use of the word THEY in reference to Igboland and Igbo people is a clear indicator that there's absolutely no spiritual or emotional connection between YOU Obailala and the Igbo nation. It simply means you're not Igbo as you've been claiming.

I'm only trying to expose the treacherous slimy impostor that you are, just for the benefit of the few gullible who might want to fall for your antics.
It is not my problem that you do not understand the use of English especially as regards making an unbiased narrative.. Okay, I am Yoruba... happy?... now swerve!

Your comment shows your level of stupidity. They seized somebody's goods and wants to distribute to IDPS. You did not care to ask why did they seize them as if to say that if you were in those importers situation you will be happy. Politics by sentiment is a disease.
But are you aware that the Customs all over the world do seize contraband items and items imported without proper documentation?... Are you aware this is a simple procedure which has been the norm for ages around the world and also in Nigeria even before this administration?... Are you also aware that in the past, those seized items are usually auctioned shared by Nigerian Customs officers to themselves and in some cases, they dubiously re-sell the items to the original owners at criminal rates?

So far there's been no complaint from any quarters about goods being seized unlawfully. I really can't understand the reason behind your angry outburst. Or where your goods seized unlawfully?

I was very vocal in pointing out to the world that you're an impostor.... A very stvpid one for that matter. A miserable Yorubastard masquerading as an Igbo man. I think I've been vindicated.

Like I told you before, it is only a very foolish man that will join forces with strangers and hostile neighbors to hurl stones and missiles into his father's compound. It's good you've shown yourself once again.

Unnecessary hatred for Igbos will be your greatest undoing.
The more you keep equating the ipob sect and its ideologies with general Igbos, the more you continue to get me pissed off. Be ye reminded that in a political or economic argument, I'm under no obligation to take sides based on tribe (common sense takes the priority for me not tribe), and if that is what you keep regarding as my hatred for Igbos, then you are free to keep fooling yourself. And about what you perceive of me as regards my origins, that's you bloody business, your opinions or thoughts about me don't add food to my table so you can shove that stinking opinion up your a*s.

Now for the benefits of reasonable people out there reading this (cc: SSpeter, VellyG), the reason I made my earlier statement was simple, I got off an argument with one ipob zombie who prayed that the bombing of oil facilities should continue as long as Hausas and Yorubas dont leave SS and SE oil alone. It wasn't just a senseless and unfortunate stance, but it was also ignorant because we are talking purely of SS oil and the SS environment here; and for the records, even the so called SW has equal amounts of oil as the SE presently.

Oh, u are blinded by APC love you didn't know it happened?
Biko kindly give us the name of the community that was annihilated in Cross Rivers and also kindly explain to me why no media house carried the report of an obliterated community?... Why did it have to be only Mazi Kanu broadcasting to Igbos how Buhari was murdering Biafrans in Calabar?..

Even till date, the people of this community which Mazi Kanu claimed lost countless women and children following a Napalm fire bombing (fake pictures were even released then by radio biafra), the people of this community never came out to complain, rather they commended the security forces for saving them from the menace of sea pirates who kept robbing and raping market women.

When you want to wage a media or propaganda war, at least apply a bit of common sense so that more enlightened people can believe and key into your campaign; this was the advice I gave at the time when Mazi Kanu shelled out those senseless lies to hoodwink more followers. Obviously I underestimated the gullibility of people like yourself who swallowed the story hook, line and sinker till date. The only reason why Kanu could actually succeed in getting multitude of followers even with some of his blatant kindergarten lies was because a lot of Igbos were still very emotionally angry at GEJ's defeat. I'm surprised there are still people who still fall for some of those bed-time stories.

There is oil in Abia and Anambra. Imo has more oil than cross-river....i hope I have enlightened you? you can still google list of oil producing state in Nigeria.....3 out 5 SE states are oil producing states...oya start to dey cry
Don't worry, you wouldn't understand where I'm coming from and why I made that comment. I know all the states which produce oil and the ones which are even about to start producing soon, my comment wasn't literal.

Ask your Papa where Ohaji/Egbema is located and also ask him the number of well heads dere. Ur hate for the Igbos though. May God help u.
Don't generalise everything and every person you see/hear. I don't and cannot hate any tribe. I have a reason why I made the comment I made and it was not literal, and neither was it meant to insult a tribe. Ipob does not represent Igbo., and that I detest the heresies taught by ipob and what it has turned the brains of some of my brothers into is more reason why I detest them.

I made this prediction early into Buhari's administration after he ordered the Airforce and military to obliterate a riverine community in Cross River in the guise of fighting militants, pirates or kidnappers ( the motive for attacking the community was constantly being changed as news of the first mission was made public).

What prompted the mission was according to the military, a band of criminals numbering about 9 who stormed a remote police armoury killing 3 officers on duty.

This is off course pure bullsh1t as there are no armouries in remote police posts. This was a false flag operation carried out to justify killing innocent Niger Deltans by the north.

Today we see them blowing up pipelines in a renewed bid to escalate tensions and make war with the Niger Delta.

They want an end to amnesty and removal of the 13% derivation for oil producing states and to halt ownership of offshore oil wells to the respective coastal states. As they are doing this they are also passing a bill to set up the NEDC which is the northern equivalent of NDDC.

Don't be fooled by this Govt. They are stupidily playing into the hands of the US which wants Nigeria's balkanization and are using the Buhari and north's blind bigotry to achieve their goal without them even knowing it.

I did not support him because I thought he was a miracle worker, not especially when yiu consider the rock-bottom oil prices, I would be silly to expect any wonders from him with the current economic crisis. Dear OP
I totally agree with you on this. Delta state is under the chains and oppressions of bad government, corrupt politicians, Niger delta militancy, thuggery, etc. It's a State that needs great deliverance from the shackles of Satan the devil.
In addition to the chains and oppressions of bad government, corrupt politicians, Niger delta militancy, thuggery, etc., the biggest deliverance which Delta state needs is a re-orientation of the minds of the youths; that in my opinion is the biggest problem in Delta state.

Some time last year on Ibori's birthday, there were several newspaper centre-spread publications wishing Ibori a happy birthday. These adverts which cost millions per page were sponsored by notable personalities in the state, people who are still referred to as leaders. Now you may think it was just dubious politicians involved in this, but within the same period, a friend of mine put up a very lengthy Facebook status 'extolling the virtues' of Ibori as the greatest leader and his role model; this dude had absolutely no links with Ibori, had no links with politics and had nothing he gained or hoped to gain from Ibori, but somehow he just admired the fact that the man was a crafty thief. This is unfortunately the mindset and mentality of most Delta state and even Niger-delta youths. A serious re-orientation is needed and if the minds of the youths are reformed, then the good-for-nothing shameless characters we have today will no longer be able to get onto power.

@deandavid
You are absolutely on point with your worries, it's a really disturbing situation that Delta which is one of the richest states in Nigeria with some of the smartest scholars happens to be one of the worst in terms of development due to useless leaders. Good luck in your quest to join politics.

Business › Re: Naira At Lowest Level In 43 Years, Now N305/dollar by obailala(m): 12:40pm On Jan 15, 2016
Bevista:
N320/$ imminent as oil price flirts with $30 mark.
---
For those thinking that the former president did a better job, I'd like to refresh our minds. Oil price collapsed from around $115 in June 2014 to around $70 in Nov 2014 and then to around $50 in Feb 2015. The CBN first responded by depreciating the Naira from N150/$ to N168/$ in Nov 2014 and then to N197/$ in Feb 2015. The reality is that political leaders are usually powerless to the forces of Free Market.

---Currency depreciation (of oil exporting countries) is a natural course of action when oil prices decline. This is the case currently for Angola, Libya, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, etc. Even countries like Canada and Norway are also experiencing same fate.
---
The appropriate thing for the CBN to do is to adjust the official exchange rate to around N250/$. This will help close the divergence between the official rate and the parallel rate. Grand standing is completely unnecessary. The president, as a matter of urgency, should stop having a definitive opinion about what the exchange rate should be. This only serves some futile National Pride but with dire economic consequences.
---
Those blaming the current administration for the fate of the Naira are either completely ignorant or mischievous. Anyone with some modicum of economic intellect will understand the correlation between oil prices and the exchange rate of an oil exporting country. It becomes much worse when the country is import-dependent. The blame goes to previous administrations for paying lip service to diversification of the economy and for not shoring up our FX Reserves during boom periods.
---
If Saudi Arabia with FX Reserves of over $750bn, Russia (over $450bn), Canada (over $500bn), etc can see their currencies plummeting due to declining oil prices, then Nigeria (with FX Reserves of $28bn) must be a complete joke for trying to maintain the strength of the Naira.
---
I won't bother going into the implications and all the interwoven dynamics of oil price, exchange rate and the overall economy.
This summarises the entire situation. Nigeria is in real trouble and for the first time, with oil prices dropping below $30/bbl, I am inclined to now support the decision to devalue the currency substantially. A state of emergency also has to be declared in the manufacturing, agriculture and solid mineral sectors so the nation can take advantage of the devalued currency by increasing exports.

So far with all the noise about diversifying, if one must be honest, the recent budgeted figures for agriculture and solid minerals does not reflect a government which really wants to radically develop those sectors.

Next time time when you have a cogent reason like this to present, don't wait for the opposition to feed us with their side of the story first.

I understand PMB is making effort to do good to Nigerians, but he should learn to talk more. Knowing that there are people who will misinterprets every of his action.

Its better he tell us what he does and why (even if he bicots due process) than taking the decision then wait until he is critisized before he comes up with an excuse. No matter how genuine it is, we will see it as defensive.

I admire his effort so far to challenge corruption, but I don't like his silence and secrecy. Nigerians wish to support him but it appears most times we misunderstand him.

I'm mostly afraid now because his age and physical condition glaring and it appears people are taking advantage of that. I can assure you that most of the issues, he only knows them or the implications after they are announced. And in an effort to change them he will gave to bicot processes as following them will never get it achieved.

I understand his plight, he can't help it. He may be autocratic (as presumed) that's what Nigeria need now. He should however be doing some explanations, and where he makes mistakes he should admit, we will understand and support him.

He should not stand alone in this fight,

He promised heaven during his campaign and declared several times that he would follow a different path to instil economic development and growth. But the only thing he did was request for more loans from the world bank!

No economic blueprint, nothing. He's only waiting for oil price to rise. Terrible!
