momentoftruth:I outlined my points clearly and cited a generally known fact about FOOD, CLOTHING & SHELTER. Any adult human with half a brain understands my points, so once again I dare you to prove you have grey matter enclosed in your skull by countering my arguments instead of throwing insults around like a tout. |
All I see is the picture of a man who is 8-years older. |
momentoftruth:I dare you to prove you have a brain by countering my argument. |
stanuplane:To give you the benefit of a doubt, I had to read your post and mine again as you suggested, and I did it slowly this time around. Unfortunately I still stand by my previous statement; your reasoning smacks of ignorance if you expect people to be thrown in jail without a procedure even in a democracy. Investigations => prosecution => judgement => prison. So far we're still at the investigation/prosecution phase, and yes, this stage could involve holding the suspects in custody. |
Kenai:Point of correction on you first sentence, "these are the pictures Nigerian leaders don't want you to see." It is not an APC thing, the PDP is even more guilty of this sleaze. Just to remind you of your stinking hypocrisy, Kaduna state has been ruled by the PDP for 16 years of financial boom while APC has been there for just 8 months at a time of recession. What is the wisdom in expecting APC to clean up in 8 months of recession, a huge mess which PDP couldn't clean in 16 years of plenty? ![]() Now to the main topic of discussion, I just laugh at the wisdom of the 'well-fed' people who keep screaming 'misplaced priorities.' There is no doubt that furniture are needed in the schools, however I can assure you that even with the finest furnishing and the most beautiful architecture, attempting to educate a child with an empty stomach is nothing but a futile and worthless endeavour. Especially in rural areas where some parents can barely afford to feed their kids, the importance of an assurance of a single meal a day for their kids can never be overemphasised. If you have ever been to some northern rural areas, you should be able to appreciate what I talk about. This program will in no small way, encourage a lot of parents to ensure their kids go to school and stay in school. With a larger population being educated, what could be more important than human capital development?.... The most basic needs of man are FOOD, CLOTHING and SHELTER. There is a reason why FOOD always comes before SHELTER in that list. #BelleFirst |
stanuplane:My thoughts is that you have reasoned no better than the illiterate okada man who lived close to my house some time ago (no offence intended). You should know that under a democracy , it starts with investigations, prosecution and judgement before prison. A process which naturally takes time especially considering the nature of Nigerian judiciary. |
IsraeliAIRFORCE:I thought that was for the previous year? |
ArodewilliamsT:This searchlight you have beamed solely on hausa-fulani, have you for once attempted to beam it on the uselessness of people like Orji Kalu and Theodore Orji?... Or even the senators and Reps representing this areas?... How convenient is it to just jump the gun and blame those far away even when no attempt has been made to clean within the compound. Do you have the faintest idea the kind of progress the entire SE would have made if the likes of OUK or TA Orji had one-tenth the spirit of leaders like Mbakwe?... Do you really think the hausa fulani or yorubas as is fondly alleged would have been able to hold the SE back if SE leaders had just one-tenth the patriotism of people like Mbakwe? |
DerideGull:Hardcore ipob spotted!.. Bro, no war is going to happen in Nigeria, it can never happen. Anybody that takes up atms against the state under the aegis of ipod or whatever you call it will be crushed. As long as you guys restrict your disruptive protests to Aba and stay off other calm progressive parts of the SE, it's fine. After all it's the economy of Aba that suffers it on the long run. It's too bad however that these useless trigger happy policemen and soldiers keep using brute force on unarmed civilians. |

Lol.. All these Jonathanians still holding on to worthless straws. Anyway, nothing could sound more ridiculous than the statement of Jonathan's former information minister (Maku) who thanked Jonathan for bringing Facebook to Nigeria.

Hehehe.. in essence let's hope and pray the lower resistance (or support) point is around the $20 line after which the trend 'may' become bullish again. |
Is there even anything that people wouldn't defend? ![]() |
Pavarottii:Kindly hold onto your PVC tightly, 2019 is just around the corner. |

'A Point Man' ![]() Chaii!!... I would have too assume this is 'auto-correct' from those useless iPhones ![]() |
The man must have realised that no one takes him seriously any more. There's only an extent to which a man can just keep on ranting. Besides, he has a new wife ![]() |
Not long ago, someone was asking why Dangote wasn't siting his factories and plants anywhere in the SE. Rather he chose other regions of Nigeria and other African countries. I think the answer to that riddle isn't far fetched, especially when you consider that several Dangote trucks where used for bonfires in a recent protest in Onitsha. Now here we are again, business activities in Aba being brought to a halt once again by these needless protests; very soon some overzealous policemen would start shooting at innocent pedestrians leading to needless deaths. Meanwhile, never for once did we hear of a protest against the 16 years misrule of Orji Kalu and T.A Orji; so much for priorities. |
Pidggin:Democracy na food??... Is it an achievement?... Since we've been practising this thing in Nigeria, who democracy don helP? |
emmykk:Is his name Rochas? Aregbesola did something similar and it was a huge success not until oil prices suddenly crashed and his state's income dropped drastically; he obviously did not plan for such a circumstance. In summary, just a reminder that good leadership isn't really rocket science as African leaders for ages past have always made it look like. So once again, stop being unnecessarily pessimistic; that the other man failed because of poor planning isn't an assurance that this one must fail. |
Herald47:When gej was there he put the blame on APC for frustrating all his efforts to make Nigeria a better place. ![]() On a serious note, this seaport issue is something which has defied any logical explanation except for the uselessness of successive Nigerian governments. The convenient excuse that has always been given is that the PH and other eastern axis seaports are shallow water and can't hold large vessels; another excuse has been security. Some theorists have claimed that the west and north are deliberately sabotaging the eastern axis seaports so they can claim all the revenue in the western ports. The big question I usually ask in all these is what southern and eastern leaders have been doing all these years in Abuja regarding issues like this. Hopefully Amaechi does something about this. |
This is beautiful... Sometimes I wonder what other governors across Nigeria are doing. |
@Op, this is the standard package you get on any local flight all over the world. This is even much when compared to global standards. |
Is Dangote even the only human being in Nigeria?... When the time comes now, businessmen and everyone else would begin to complain that Dangote monopolistically controls the entire Nigerian economy. What stops others from doing this?... Very soon the government would ban or increase duties on importation of tomato paste and then everyone would blame Dangote. Why can't state governments even get involved in things like this in partnership with private investors?... Obviously everyone just wants to be involved in oil business ![]() |
IgereTv should come and explain the mumu story they were spreading to gullible people. |
There we go again |

Did he travel with the smaller plane? |
fx45:Once again, you have exposed your desperation to equate Ipob to Igbo. I specifically referred to the people who refer to Nigeria as a zoo filled with animals; even a 6 year old pupil knows I wasnt referring to an entire tribe but rather to a small group of misguided and brainwashed people. Once again, quit this your desperate attempt to equate ipob with the larger reasonable Igbo society. And yeah, about ipob people being educated, something I have realised under the sun is that education is not enough to insulate and isolate a person from brainwashing. And referring to self esteem, I cannot imagine how much lower a person's esteem can be for him/her to believe others are responsible for every single one of his/her problems. Goodnight bro. |
fx45:I got off an argument with an ipob dude who was celebrating the unfortunate incident of the bombings and praying that it should continue because Hausas and Yorubas were stealing SS and SE oil; I was still pissed off that was why I made that statement. |
fx45:You are the one making making mockery of yourself, I did not say Abia and Imo don't produce oil, even Anambra is about to start producing, just the same way Ondo also produces and Lagos is about to start production. Go and read my last response to you.... obailala:Meanwhile I just checked your history and realised you were a full blown ipob youth, it speaks volumes of your mentality and why you keep equating ipob to Igbos. From experience it is mostly a waste of time engaging an ipob adherent. So I will leave you to go enjoy my evening. |
fx45:By the way I responded to your previous statement without even reading the rubbish you wrote. But now can you kindly point out where in this thread I even referred to Igbos as 'THEY'?... Have I not warned you to stop equating ipob as Igbo?.... What on earth is even wrong with some of you ipob youths? And yes, nobody said Igbo land doesnt have oil, just as we have oil in the entire SS, there's also oil in the SE and SW (even though in less quantity compared to the SS), even a nursery school pupil knows that. But the last time I checked, this thread was referring to a crisis which is unfolding in the SS not SE or SW. |
