I feel deeply pained whenever I look through the shelves in the UK and most of the local foods (banga, poundo, egusi, vegetables, fruits etc) you find are imported from Ghana, Cameroon etc. I keep asking myself what Nigeria ever exports. |
Much ado about nothing! First of all, catholic priests are transferred around every now and then except the bishop or the church authorities from above think otherwise. SO there's no big deal if Mbaka is transferred. Secondly, what's all these sentimental talk about Mbaka joining politics?? Did he pick up the membership form of a political party or did he declare interest for any political position?? How does an open support for a particular candidate translate to 'joining politics'?? I understand as a religious leader with many followers, pastors should refrain from voicing their support for any particular candidate in public however, I do not still see how doing otherwise (just like numerous other big pastors across Nigeria did) translates to 'joining politics.' |
EternalTruths:Lol.. the plot is as lame as a limbless lamb. Just like clear water, everyone sees through the whole plot and that is the reason why no reasonable nation or the international community takes the whole charade serious. Everyone sees it as what it is, a case of post election disgruntlement taken too far. Since the election, there's no kind of murder and oppression allegation that hasn't been levelled against Buhari from the SE even before he took over power. Every now and then, one propaganda picture or the other is circulated via social media in the SE to get even the most unconcerned individuals to buy into the communal hatred for Buhari and also to serve as 'fake' evidence to deceive the international community. You have simply spelt out the plot, "giving a dog a bad name before hanging it." As lame as that plot is however, I am only afraid of one thing, I just hope some diabolic extremist wouldn't go to the next level by murdering innocent Igbos to frame Buhari up; one can never tell what some diabolics can do out of anger and frustration. |
gigabyte13:Everyone has a right to be angry at some point and being angry doesn't change a person's greatness. |
grandstar:I knew someone was going to jump in here and attempt to politicise this matter. Oh yes, the Naira has fallen 30% in 8 months under Buhari, but after reading that article, do you really think there is any economic magic that can be done to instantly save the naira even with oil prices presently below $30??... If with all you know already and with what you read from the article, you still think it's Buhari's policies that caused the Naira to fall 30% in 8 months, how then do you explain the fact that the Naira also fell by a similar 30% between November 2014 and May 2015, a 6 months period prior to when Buhari took over government? I advise you just stick to the factual issues raised by the author of the article and stop trying to be politically correct. |
These guys could not push Buhari aside via democratic elections, now they want to use ICC to remove him by force before 2019 ![]() No matter how you look at it, it's visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that the whole resurrected Biafran charade is just a registration of grievances over an Hausa Buhari kicking out their lord and saviour GEJ through a democratic election; it's always been about Buhari. Anyway, these disgruntled folks can keep whining like babies till 2023 for all I care. But I must say, I didnt expect this level of low from a great people. I am personally embarrassed. |
I think they should start by teaming up to fix that horrible portion of the Aba to Ikot-Ekpene road. |
They say Water No Get Enemy, I am tempted to doubt this statement because of the number of lives taken by water regularly. But then I am tempted to ask, dont we use life vests in Nigeria? |
The arguments being churned out by these Jonathanians can sometimes be very twisted and laughable. Okay, NOI the finance minister of Nigeria warned Nigeria to save for the rainy day, but now the blame is on Amaechi and Tinubu for the inability of the FG to save. Isn't it ironic and laughable that the Jonathanians who keep criticising this present government for blaming past leadership are now the ones blaming a future government for their inability to save in the past? By the way, NOI warned of the need to save during OBJ days, Tinubu and co were alleged to have opposed but what eventually happened??... the FG under OBJ and finance ministry headed by NOI were able to save for Nigeria. Fastforward to GEJ era, the same NOI calls for the need to save, Amaechi opposed and what eventually happened??... the FG under GEJ which made the highest revenue didnt save. Observing these two above situations, the joke is obviously on GEJ for being an ineffectual leader. But strangely, GEJ's supporters now put the blame on Amaechi (who wasnt even in govt). |
Griffon:Violence is violence, hate is hate and sociopathic behaviour is sociopathic behaviour. In this context, it is not the cause you are fighting for that matters, it is HOW you go about fighting for the cause that we are talking about. You can't just come on air and continue to preach hate hate hate hate hate against other tribes of Nigeria, threatening to wage war against a sovereign state, threatening that he and his followers would kill every single living soul in Nigeria, claiming that he has gathered enough arms to prosecute a devastating war against a sovereign state and even tasking his followers to specifically kill Yorubas and Hausas in the south east of Nigeria. Bro, it is only a matter of time before some of these sociopathic traits and gestures begins to manifest into street mayhem. This is how most out-of-control antisocial groups started and it is only a stupid ineffectual government that would sit back and wait until calamity commences before they take action. Now you may wonder why I am so passionate about this, it's because it is my own people that are involved here. The man Kanu has successfully twisted the psyche of the average Igbo youth to begin to reason like sociopaths. It's okay and acceptable for one person to be mad in a society, but when this one mad person is successful in inflicting his madness on millions, then that calls for serious concern. Imagine Kanu stating that if 2million Igbos died in the previous civil war, that we should be ready to lose 6-8million in the war he is about to wage, being a price for freedom. And with such statements hovering in the air, we have youths cheering him on. If any right thinking adult is not disturbed by such assertions, then there is really something wrong. |
Dedetwo:A mere cough which has swayed and held the minds of thousands (if not millions) of followers captive?? That doesn't seem like ordinary cough to me, it is more like tuberculosis and it needs to be checked and treated urgently to avoid calamity. With the way things were going, it could only have been a matter of time before he would have given the 'order' to his mentally captured die-hard followers to unleash crisis. The streets are definitely safer without sociopaths like Kanu. |
PhockPhockMan:It's just a common sense matter. Anyone expecting Kanu to get bail under these circumstances must be living in Mars or Jupiter. |
How can a person just wake up and start wishing Nigerians all sorts of disasters, calamity and death??... And then he foolishly walks into the same Nigeria and expects Nigeria to smile and treat him with love?? The constitutional provisions for treason are very clearly spelt out in the Nigerian constitution and Kanu's crime is clearly treason. I do not see any chance of Kanu leaving jail any time soon. |
Does he put all these things in his pocket or in a handbag? ![]() |
APGA rising again!.. PDP crumbling like a pack of cards ![]() |
EastanPower:If boko haram leaders where put in proper check when they were still only 'inciting to violence,' we wouldn't have had the sorry situation we have today where over 20,000 souls have been taken by the beasts. No serious country which cares about its security would sit back and allow an individual to incite people, his very many faithful followers to violence. |
Lovely! We need more of this. I see no reason why all the major oil producing states cannot build 2 refineries each. If Dangote, an individual can source funds and build a refinery, what stops Delta state, Bayelsa, Rivers and Akwa-Ibom from building at least one state-owned refinery each?... Every state just wants to sit back and receive payouts from FG. |
seunmsg:A lot of Jonathanians are too dull to realise this simple fact. Dasuki's only hope for survival by clinging on to Jonathan; almost every single thing Dasuki did was a direct order from his oga on top. The peace deal signed by the government provides immunity for Jonathan, Dasuki simply wants to tap into that anointing. |
anticabal1:**** Let me remind you of 2 facts you need to know while you continue to ridiculously hate on Buhari; firstly, Buhari is the freaking president of Nigeria and he will be your president till at least 2019 or even 2023. Secondly, Nigeria is not going to be balkanised. If you like you can go and murder 1000 innocent people and circulate the pictures claiming it was Buhari to gain sympathy, Nigeria is not going to be balkanised. If you feel so frustrated about buhari being your president, you can go swallow otapiapia or easily relocate to cameroun or togo, but you shall be taking not even an inch of Nigerian territory with you. |
Since Buhari won this election in 2015, there is hardly any misfortune that has not been blamed on Buhari to justify a reason to secede. Everyday, one contrived picture or the other is released into the atmosphere to spread propaganda to gullible folks that Buhari is murdering Igbos; anything to demonise Buhari and promote the quest for secession is a welcome idea. Even ftom Buhari's first week in power, the allegations of murder had already started pouring in from the SE. Now what is the evidence that this little girl was shot? ... and if she was shot, what is the evidence that she was shot by soldiers?.... What also is the evidence that this tragedy happened in Nigeria and in Aba? On a daily basis in the SE, sensational pictures like this (both real, fake, from Nigeria and outwith Nigeria) are being circulated continuously with a singular intention to demonise Buhari and everything he stands for; the target is to ensure that every single Igbo man, woman and child rabidly hates Buhari and hates Nigeria with the deepest passion. Unfortunately, sensational propaganda materials like this are very effective, but certainly, the madness does not cross an inch beyond Igbo land. I also laugh at the way some of these actors continually involve the name of God in their devilish deceit. |
anticabal1:Lol... the last time I checked, you were the one lamenting about ochendo. You clearly had the apga option as at the time of the elections, but the herd mentality followership of GEJ made y'all to happily thumprint TA's UMBLELLA... ![]() |
anticabal1: ![]() TA Orji being a senator is collateral damage of the SE wilfully permitting massive rigging for PDP for the sake of Jona. |
anonimi:We like him like that We like him as a leopard and a raving wolf That's why we voted him We certainly didn't vote for him to become a weakling like the one he replaced. You never liked him from day 1, we don't expect you to like him and it's not compulsory for you to like him. But remember it's a democracy, and the majority wins. Since you don't like him, better hold your PVC tight cos 2019 is just around the corner for you to lose again ![]() |
Gbam!... This government needs to lead by example in the indigenisation policy. We cannot be buying toyota and BMWs when we have local manufacturers. Meanwhile, while some are cursing, swearing and lamenting their inability to import, others smart guys are busy expanding their production capacity. However bad a situation is, there's always someone it favours. |
theshadyexpress:And you really think someone is being paid?... Okay sorry.. He was lying, even though the pictures were all over the place, he just chose to lie to at least deceive some uninformed ones. I guess this should make you happy?... Enjoy the rest of your friday. |
