dougivilla:I am sorry but in delicate issues like this, it is silly to rely on assumptions and deductive reasoning. Simply put, she did not say OBJ was corrupt and neither did she say OBJ was not corrupt. Instead she smartly refused to answer the question by asking the interviewer for evidence first. As a public personality and a highly placed individual with a degree in law and diplomacy, she understands the implications of 'being a judge' in a case that has not been proven and she refused to answer the question even though people tried to force the words into her mouth. It is unfortunate that even educated people cannot understand simple speeches.. |
Uncletony:I said show me... I watched the interview from start to finish more than once and she clearly refused answering the question by asking for evidence first. How the brains of some Nigerians have interpreted that to mean "OBJ is not corrupt" completely beats my imagination. It is only a not-too-smart person that would come on international TV and pronounce judgement on a man without evidence. |
emperorceaser:Can you please shut up and go back to primary 3 to learn proper English comprehension. "Provide evidence that the man is corrupt" is not the same as "the man is not corrupt" She was smartly trying not to be a judge in a case that had not been proven hence she totally avoided answering the question. Yes everyone knows OBJ is corrupt but until you provide pure evidence, it is only a not-too-smart person that would come on international TV and become a judge. |
Nigeria failed the Niger Delta people and Jonathan failed the Niger Delta people even more. Any Niger Deltan crying today should direct that cry straight to Jonathan because he totally wasted a once in a lifetime opportunity for a ND presidency. Alll Jonathan needed to do to massively develop the Niger Delta was to ensure that very competent men of integrity were appointed as the heads of NDDC and the ND Ministry. But GEJ rather thought the best way was to appoint crooks from the ND at the top to steal money and then to pay billions to miscreants like tompolo, boyloaf, asari etc. Today Asari has built a private university in Benin Republic with ND money while Tompolo now flies around in a brand new private jet acquired with ND money too. What an interesting achievement for Jonathan. |
Sweetguy25:Show me where Oby said that.... Sometimes i just wonder the frequency the brains of some people function at |
luvinhubby:The point is that those guys arent securing anything at all; thet arent doing the job they are paid billions for at all. Yes no doubt, they know the terrain very well and can do a very good job at securing the pipelines if they want to buy the militants simply collect billions monthly and spend their whole time in abuja Wining and dining. The very second GEJ got into government and gave the contract to militants, oil bunkery escalated to an unprecedented 400,000 barrels per day. That is a loss of about $40million daily or $1.2billion monthly for the country. The militants instead of securing the pipelines, they all have bunkering vessels with which they now siphon crude daily without opposition and this is a product they are suppose to guard. The militants also provide private security for other 'big men' involved in bun kering activities even though they are under a FG contract to secure the pipelines.. It is really ridiculous if you fet the teal details of what is going on in the creeks. This very activities forced Shell to pull out of the entire Delta state. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:..And here we go again, a cretin's brain has interpreted this from the angle of tribalism... |
onoikenna:What did the corper do?... Soldiers in camp are usually under very strong orders not to lay their hands on corpers no matter the provocation. I'm sure the beaten corpers must have physically attacked the soldiers. There's definitely more to this story. |
dan55:Manual accreditation of voters was allowed in the presidential elections so any argument about card reader in the presidential election results is invalid. |
WisdomCanada:Removing Rochas from Imo GH is almost impossible. Rochas has 10 times more evidence of malpractice than the PDP can ever produce. The reason the election was cancelled and declared inconclusive in the first instance was because of the massive fraud committed by PDP which was visible to even the blind. The margin of victory would have been much wider had it not been for PDP rigging. |
mydeporch:Kaduna batch B 2008?... Interesting! I remember Sgt Musa Daga of Platoon 10. I should still have his picture somewhere. ![]() |
Camp is usually fun!... These so called 'punishments' are a typically a part of the fun in camp. Only paranoid and insecure people see this as 'torture'. The last time I checked, if you do not want to do this, you will be exempted. The soldiers in camp will NEVER hit a corper even though they always threaten to; they are under very strong orders not to hit anyone. As a matter of fact, the soldiers sent to NYSC camps are usually a selection of the lively and entertaining ones. A lot of Nigerians are just naturally paranoid, unnecessarily arrogant and indisciplined, that is why some people think camp life is abusive. |
Chaiiii... This is serious.. Warri no dey carry last at all... I heard they sold-out even before 3pm yesterday... and they said people had no money ![]() |
Amaechi did very well in his first 4 years but even as an Amaechi man, I must confess he derailed in the latter years. It is not easy to play opposition politics and it cost Amaechi all his good works and goodwill. Same also for Rochas, he did extremely well in his first 2 years as governor but derailed the moment he joined APC. It isn't easy playing opposition politics when in the midst of your enemies. Rochas and Amaechi had to sacrifice good governance and their reputations to enthrone a better government at the centre. Rochas was lucky to retain his seat and I strongly believe he would make-up for the lost time in the coming years. Amaechi wasn't so lucky but whether the Jonathanians like it or not, posterity would treat amaechi well. |
Was it not this same man that was said to be SHOWERING PRAISES AT GEJ moments ago? https://www.nairaland.com/2314592/president-yayi-republic-benin-showers President Yayi Of Republic Of Benin Showers Praises On President Jonathan to calm his nerves... www.nairaland.com/attachments/2411887_ceylkqveaeqmxg_jpega2880458432a791a2e052f15ab366c54 Moments later... www.nairaland.com/attachments/2412950_20150515082005_jpeg0057d5f821a72ee6f3635ecf99710706 ![]() |
Kenai:On the contrary, GEJ is the modern day king Saul who was anointed by God and was made king on a platter. After getting into power, he instantly went astray and allowed himself to be misled by court jesters and poor advisers. He strayed away from the path of good and God silently removed the anointing from him, his entire household and his entire lineage and David (whom no one expected) was anointed King in his stead. Similarly, those calling Amaechi a court jester for dancing in public are just like the daughter of king Saul who laughed and despised King David for dancing before the Lord in public. If you know your bible very well, I'm sure you know what happened to Michal the daughter of Saul and first wife of King David (Read 2 Samuel 6:16-23). At the end, we all know how the movie ended ![]() |

kodded:Enough of this silly loser's cry by GEJ supporters. What is your definition of betrayal?... Do you even know the meaning of the word 'betrayal'? Amaechi had disagreements with GEJ and was humiliated, thereafter he vowed not to support GEJ in 2015. He kept to his words and helped to kick the accursed president out of Abuja. He did not pretend to be supporting Jonathan in any way and the whole world knew he was not in good terms with GEJ. So how is that suppose to be betrayal? Common sense definition of betrayal is when you have an agreement with someone and at the last minute, you turn around and stab the person at the back. Typical examples of betrayal is the case of Amaechi's deputy (Tele Ikuru) who jumped ship just a week to elections without even informing his boss. But of course, I don't expect you to understand what I'm saying because even common sense isn't too common. |
Mynd44:Even with over 600+ abducted women and children rescued from the terrorist camps in the past weeks, some people still do not think the Chibok incidence could have been a possibility. I think these set of individuals are beyond brainless; their skulls are filled with hot fufu. |
The youths in Nigeria need to understand one thing, you are in a competition with the older generation and the older generation (your opponents) will not sit back, smile and hand over the price to you. The only way youths can take over the leadership of this nation is by grabbing it; get mentored, redefine and differentiate yourself and then go for the crown. Nobody is going to hand over the mantle of leadership to the youths on a platter. That being said, what is even the big deal about youth leadership? DOes it necessarily translate to better leadership?... Just like tribal / religious / ethnic / gender politics, the problem of Nigeria isn't based on these things and a youth leading Nigeria will not automatically translate to good governance. So why exactly should I be bothered about lack of youths in top positions? |
Chaiii! Chaiii! That was a left fist power jab ![]() www.nairaland.com/attachments/2410516_aki2_png196e103e743fec82ad8d70b1bd7ea8a0 |
I'm totally agaings tribalism and stereotyping but I dont know why I find this very funny ![]() |
Wow..the guys are good. Never heard of Black Magic before now but I just listened to all his songs on youtube now and the guy is good... Will definitely get his album. |
Political prostitutes... Why can't these men stay and fortify PDP?... Our politicians just have no shame at all; always looking for only their stomachs. Tufia! |
MuguliciousMUGU:Did God design anybody to browse the internet?.. or did God design anybody to watch TV? |
It is most disheartening that there are still very many ordinary Nigerians who would rather still vilify SLS and would happily defend NNPC and the outgoing administration even with all these figures and evidences we see. I think we are really cursed in this nation but God is already breaking the curses irrespective of the folly of some of us. |
NaijaNaWaa:The so called valid points have been proven and confirmed to be wild and false inaginations... He realised this, hence his apology. Take the Ibom tropicana contract for instance, he alleged that the site had not even been excavated, haba! The project is at an advanced stage and the cinema complex for example has even been commisioned and is functional. |
cleatoris:The point being made here and the apology by Cramjones is because he has realised that all his allegations were false and baseless. It has been proven and confirmed that the man in question did not amass his wealth through theft. The silly allegations against him have been proven to be false and conjured trash. That's why his attackers (who are reasonable) are dropping apologies. |
cramjones:An apology is in place but it is important you undertand the way humans reason especially Nigerians. You tell a Nigerian that a person is a thief, he believes you instantly. An hour later you come back and tell the same person that you made a mistake in your earlier pronouncement but he wouldnt believe your rebuttal, he wouldnt even listen to you anymore because people tend to hear only what they want to hear... |
cramjones:How could someone just conjure this false epistle to rubbish a man's reputation all because the man speaks against corruption?... This is really sad and I never expected this from a person like Cramjones. Or is it because the man belongs to PDP?... This just goes to prove that some of the so called progressives here on NL are just shameless partisan e-warriors who dont care about the good of the country. To some people it always just has to be a pdp vs apc matter and they are ready to shamelessly crucify even good men under false allegations simply because they belong to opposing parties... This is very disturbing. |
Popemax:This isn't really a hating matter... I always ask myself the same question all the time too. Why do we build houses with the most basic architectural designs in Nigeria?... I doesn't really cost much more to deliver an unusual but fascinating architectural masterpiece. I'm sure the contractors building the hotel are capable of delivering something more sophisticated so I just wonder why we always opt for the most basic designs. Although I must agree the ellipse shape of this one is an improvement on most other projects around. #JustWondering |
