agarawu23:You are the one that is a big fooool for not staying on your lane. It's a free world and everyone is entitled to their right to speech. You are also entitled to your right to ignore his speech if you find it inapproriate; if you do not like his mode of speech, fvck off!... You don't have to call him a fool. ![]() |
Has the new national assembly been inaugurated?... If there's no house of assembly, can PMB appoint ministers? I'm sure by next week, all this noise and uneccessary critism of a 7 day old regime on appointing ministers would be put to rest... and then the next phase of criticism would begin; a criticism of the character and records of the individuals appointed ![]() |
lorddubic: ![]() Africa is a hopeless jungle... and if you dare to complain, you will be labelled an evil spirit ![]() |
noblezone:Now this is the exact problem the Igbos are suffering from, 'post civil war Paranoia;' we always feel everyone is out to get us but that is very bad and would never take us anywhere. My brother, I will start by saying first of all that nothing will come out of this case against Ihejirika and co. so hold your peace. Secondly, contrary to your claims, the case is not being visited by Amnesty International or any other group because it happened in the north; that is absolutely not true and we need to totally expunge this paranoid reasoning from our psyches. After the Odi, Odioma and Zaki Biam massacres, Amnesty international also tried to raise some dust but as usual, the cases died a natural death. You can google to confirm: http://www.amnesty.org.uk/press-releases/nigeria-killings-government-soldiers-must-be-investigated I find it rather rash and appalling that you could not take a second to google this before you arrived at your paranoid conclusion that 'some lives are more precious than others' Once again, I urge you and every other south-easterner to expunge the paranoid attitude cos it helps no one at all. I particularly have noticed this a lot amongst the Igbos. We always feel we are being cheated or marginalised but a proper observation would reveal that just about every other ethnic group or geographical region is EQUALLY marginalised by our thieving political class (past and present). I wouldn't forget in a hurry when Stella Oduah was caught making extra-budgetary expenses at inflated rates, the moment the scandal broke out, some Igbos immediately jumped into defensive mode claiming she was being persecuted 'because she was Igbo. That was the most distasteful public show of paranoia by the Igbos and things like that really needs to stop. |
These Jonathanians are still really pained and very bitter about this their loss... Walahii! Is this the kind of opposition we are going to get for the next 4 years?... Imagine accusing the president of taking too many photos? ![]() |
While reading that piece, I just can't explain how a huge smile just appeared on my face ![]() |
@Op save your breathe. The people you are trying to educate are irredeemable. Most of them know the truth but for the fear of lack of what to say, they foolishly cling to things they know are lies and they perpetrate them. The people that should be pitied are the ignorant ones close to the TANoids who only get all their info from these TANoids. Sometimes I am tempted to not pity these ones because for every false story spread by the TANoids, the truth is usually bandied by the side, but these individuals chose to believe the more 'interesting' side of the story [the lie]. In summary, these guys enjoy the paradise of their ignorance. Do not attempt to liberate them from the captivity they enjoy. Just a reminder, I think you also forgot the N1 = $1 falsehood. |
noblezone:If Ihejirika is investigated and found to be guilty of corruption and extra-judicial killings, are you saying Igbos would be silly if they keep quiet?.. I'm sorry but the larger majority of Igbos are not silly. So what if Ihejirika is investigated and found to be guilty of killing innocent people?... He should be allowed to go free because he stopped BH? If you answer is yes, what if your family member was amongst the innocent people killed extra-judicially?... Would your answer to the above question still be yes? Yes OBJ wiped out Odi and Odioma and Zaki Biam and nobody reacted to the genocide, not even Amnesty international... So does that make it a good thing?... Should such impunity and recklessness be perpetuated forever because people who did it in the past went scot free? Why cant we just reason civilised for once? |
noblezone:I do not know what is too difficult for you to understand in what I said earlier. I asked a pertinent question, "if you were from Odi, Odioma, Zaki Biam or those towns in the NE where the soldiers commit extra-judicial killings, what would have been your reaction?" It is easy to accuse Buhari of bias because you are totally disconnected from the NE, you have zero empathy and you just can't be bothered about their plight. If you have ever lost a member of your family or close friend to BH and then while still in mourning, the Nigerian Army catches and slaughters 2 of your brothers because they didnt raise their hands properly at a checkpoint, I think your point of view would definitely be different. For once, do not reason from the angle of sentiments. I understand your bias towards Ihejirika because he's an Igbo man but sentiments unfortunately has not even allowed you to read the full list of the accused individuals: Lt. General Azubuike Ihejirika. He was Chief of Army Staff from September 2010 until he retired in January 2014.There are 2 northerners in the list (which includes 2 of Ihejirika's bosses), 1 south-southerner (Ihejirika's successor) and one south-easterner (Ihejirika). I personally do not care where the person is from, if they are investigated and found guilty, they should face the music. There is a terrible tribal/clannish attitude we've always had in Nigeria which has helped perpetrate crimes and unprofessionalism. If a thief is caught, he says it's because he's from a particular section of a country and that's why he's being persecuted and then the case is dropped. For how long shall this continue?... So because military officers before Ihejirika and co have also committed crimes, so therefore your suggestion is that they shouldn't be punished (even if they are guilty)?... If we continue this cycle, when do we then get things right in the country?... If you think a division of the country would solve this problem then you are so wrong, that is when you will realise how divided we are in the south-east and south-south. It would mark a resumption of our problems in full scale and it would be even more frustrating because the clannishness would then be based on state and LGA and council differences; you would see brothers who speak the same language killing each other for the most flimsy reasons. |
vanunu:Fool or no fool I have made my point clear, If Ihejirika is investigated and found guilty of war crimes or corruption, he should face the music. It is only silly Igbos that would jump around defending an accused even before investigations have commenced; just like the non-entities who were defending Stella Oduah who was caught red handed making over-inflated extra-budgetary expenses. The most annoying aspect is the silly paranoid statement that "he/she is being persecuted because he's Igbo," and then I ask, are the other 3 accused guys which even includes Ihejirika's boss (Alex Badeh) also Igbo?? Anyway, thank God a majority of Igbos are not silly as yourself and as such, no reasonable Igbo person would go around bombing military barracks because of 1 man (whom we do not even know if he's innocent or not). Enough is enough of this idiotic clannishness! |
TopCelebritiesM:..And what is wrong with that? What is wrong with the Asaba Capital Development Bill? How is it suppose to be a plot against the Urhobos and Itsekiris? What kind of tribal division and disharmony are you trying to create with this strange allegation? Is Asaba not a part of Delta State? The last I remember, Asaba is even the capital of Delta State. May God purge the land of silly diabolic divisive entities like yourself... Rubbish! |
dainformant:The Nigerian military and even the Nigerian police bomb squad have always had these kits and tools. |
noblezone:Why do Nigerians sentimentally block their sense of reasoning?... For crying out loud, what is too difficult to understand in Buhari's call for professionalism in the fight against BH? Just like in Odi, Odioma, Zaki Biam, Warri and every other place the Nigerian Army has gone to enforce peace, the outcome has consistently been the same; the army ends up indiscriminately killing more innocent people than the criminals they came to fight and the elders of these areas always end up campaigning for the military to be sent away. So why now do you feel the military suddenly became saints in the north-east?... Why do you doubt the allegation that the military engaged in massive extra-judicial killings of innocent people? @Noblezone and all others who genuinely believe that Buhari was on the side of the terrorists by his statements, I want to believe you guys are reasonable. Please put away all political, ethnic, religious, tribal and regional sentiments and answer this question honestly, IF THE ARMY IS SENT TO YOUR VILLAGE TO DESTROY A HANDFUL OF CRIMINALS AND THEY EVENTUALLY KILL HALF OF YOUR VILLAGE, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL AND WHAT WOULD BE YOUR REACTION?? If the chief of your village objects to the style of the military, how would you feel if outsiders label the chief a supporter of the criminals? We really need to stop being insensitive when things don't concern us directly. |
kettykings:Nobody is going to burn any barrack in the east if Ihejirika is arrested and nobody in the east is going to leave their businesses to fight for a single man who has enriched himself and retired to his village. Forget all those jobless street urchins parading around calling themselves MASSOB, they do not have the backing of reasonable Igbos. Besides, Ihejirika isn't the only one arrested so we really need to stop this senseless clannishness. If the man is investigated and found to have committed any crime, he should face the music. |
Tolite22:I'm very sure they would respond to you quickly as you have taken this publicly on social media. A friend of mine had a similar situation with Airtel but after several ignored emails and phone calls, she took the campaign to twitter. After lambasting the Airtel twitter handle with less than 15 tweets, the irresponsible people had to call her and settled her case within hours. Customer care in Nigeria is just shit and these companies act like this because they know Nigerians hardly even have a better alternative. |
Mogidi:A PDP president, while speaking in a PDP state (Rivers), told the expectant multitude that since their governor (Amaechi) was fighting him, the people of the state shouldn't expect any federal project in the state. Oh Yes!... The amiable president and people's hero actually uttered this repugnant statement in full public glare. ...If you think Buhari is being too tribal by rewarding people who stood under the sun and in the rain for him by supporting the ambition of their kinsman, what do you have to say about your hero who punished almost 10 million innocent citizens of Rivers State and even publicly bragged about it all because of his disagreement with one man? |
Paulonko:..So why is she expecting a Ghanaian plane to bring her back? |
How did she get to Ghana in the first instance? ![]() |
lalasticlala:"I acknowledge receipt of your report and I will make sure these allegations are investigated" ..Now this is exactly how to handle situations in a presidential way; this is the presidential way to shut meddling outsiders up. If this were to be Jonathan, his first public reaction would be a deafening silence and when pressured to speak, his first reaction would be to claim the allegation is false even before investigations. He would also go further to pin the allegation on his political opponents who want to unsettle his government. It shocks me that many many many people still do not see what was wrong with Jonathan's style of leadership. |
kodded: Dejohnbull: kernel504: B69U:PDP had 16 years to witch-hunt and arrest the thieves in APC who were amongst the devils holding Nigeria and Nigerians captive. If only PDP had done the needful and arrested all the thieves in APC, today Nigeria would have been rid of HALF of its political thieves and God willing, as APC has taken over now, the APC would return the favour and clear the remaining half of Nigerian political thieves, all for the betterment of the common masses. But instead of doing the needful, PDP chose to sit-back bigstouting, suyaing, peppersouping and nkwobying while our entire nation was plundered by all and sundry. Now APC has taken over leadership and has decided to capture the PDP thieves and some PDP apologists are crying foul. Some senseless apologist has also foolishly tagged this as tribal persecution. Anyway, there is no negotiating on this, the diabolic PDP losers should wait for their next turn to rule Nigeria and then they would be free to with hunt whomever they want; as long as the individuals actually stole, they should be burnt irrespective.. Rubbish! If I were Buhari, I would make sure not a single APC sympathiser is arrested by EFCC, the folly of the PDP guys truly needs to be exposed. |
lurther:Haters all over the place! |
When Igbos were being murdered all over the country in the late 60's, it made sense to clamour for Biafra since it was the only option left for our survival. Majority of Igbos were also very united in the cause and we would have formed a great nation state if it worked out in the late 60's. The big question I ask now to all the modern day secessionists, "what is the basis of this present clamour for secession?" ... Probably because Goodluck Jonathan lost an election and therefore, some people think this is a good reason to revisit Biafra? If Biafra is granted today, what becomes the fate of the 90% of the Igbo population that lives outside Igboland?... has this ever been given a proper thought?... If we still intend to live outside Biafran territory and go about our normal businesses peacefully, so what then is this present clamour for Biafra all about? The federal government over the decades has failed every single zone of the country (and not just the south-east), the only area where the Igbos may have fallen short is in producing a president. The 3 other major ethnic groups have produced presidents who have done nothing other than loot, loot and loot. While the looting exercise was ongoing, illustrious Igbo sons and daughters also also joined in the looting game but today Igbos still feel cheated and left out. Probably when an Igbo man becomes president and also loots his share, then many of the secessionists may feel fulfilled that Igbos have been 'included' in Nigeria... and then I ask, is this a positive thing? The problem which we always had and which we still have is a problem of bad and incompetent leaders. It shocks me why some Igbos cannot look beyond their nose to see this but instead, myopically think a Biafran secession will AUTOMATICALLY solve all our underdevelopment problems instantly even though we still have individuals like T.A Orji, Stella Oduah, Orji uzor kalu, udenwa etc as our 'statesmen' who would end up ruling us if Biafra actually succeeds. This Biafran noise by some never-do-wells really needs to stop even as we focus our energy on having reasonable humans as our leaders and representatives. |

What is all this impatience on Buhari's picking his cabinet all about??... Please please and please, the man should be allowed some space to pick the right people. I am sure the TANoids and Jonathanians are just too impatient and eager to start with their opposition duties, they can't wait to start throwing insults, hence they anxiously await the next big move by PMB. Una go tire!! ![]() |
Whether the Jonathanians like it or not, God in his infinite mercies has kicked out the cankerworm called GEJ out of Aso Rock. We tried and tried for 4 good years to point out to these Jonathanians the reasons why GEJ wasn't fit to be president of a complex nation like Nigeria. But in their senseless tribalism and myopia, they totally blocked their ability to reason and discern. At a point, we were almost giving up on trying to convince the GEJites, but Glory be to God for taking away our burden and doing the needful. Just like I said earlier, GEJ has been kicked out and the same Buhari which they have demonised with all sorts of devilish propaganda has presently been anointed by God as president. |
What kind of love for money is this?... How can people wilfully traffic drugs to Asia?... How can a human being value money more than his/her life?... Jisos!! |
In December precisely, this cow had no bell. What is really going on? |
Nigerians keep losing sleep over non-issues. How is it anybody's business if the wife of a man wears a watch of 10million naira bought with her own money? Other public officers are stealing and milking the nation dry but as usual, the blackman spirit in most Nigerians can't be bothered; instead we chose to debate over the price of a watch worn by the wife of the president even before the president entered office. I just wonder what would be the reaction if Aisha was actually spotted with that watch after Buhari leaves office? |
When anti-Jonathanians criticised GEJ, we did so because we were sick and tired of his irresponsible and incompetent leadership and we passionately needed a change from the ever increasing rot which was inherent in the system through the years of his administration. The vocal and fierce criticism of GEJ did not start on his first day; it started well after it was established that GEJ was just a waste of space at Aso Rock. On the other hand, judging from the actions of the opposition anti-Buharists in the last 4 days of PMB's leadership, it is clear these folks just think they are playing a game which they have to win; hence they have carelessly been throwing irrelevant tantrums all over the place on a 4-day old regime. At the rate in which you guys are going, I foresee all you anti-Buharists running out of 'opposition' steam even before the end of the first month. Please save you energy, there will be much to criticise later. |
Obiagelli:Some states are just unlucky with leaders. At a time when every other state and even the FG is talking of cutting overhead costs, a state like Ebonyi which is in dire need of capital projects is creating a ministry of religion? ...and someone thinks the problems of the south-east would be automatically solved if we have Biafra?... even when we still have such clueless people as leaders and statesmen? |
He would probably not step into the government house before he's eventually sacked by the tribunal. ![]() |
Very very bitter Jonathanians litter this thread. You guys can all keep foaming in the mouth but whether you like it or not Buhari and Osinbajo are your leaders at least for the next 4 years. If you dont like that you all can GO and DIE!!!!! ![]() |
